Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Disrespectful and Racially Biased Behavior by Bartender at Aria Sportsbook Dear Aria Resort Management, I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at the Sportsbook bar at your resort. On July 26 ,2025, I approached the bartender to simply inquire whether a particular fight would be shown. I was met with unexpected hostility from Angella and Greg. Despite clearly stating that I do not drink or smoke, the bartender falsely accused me of doing both. When I calmly clarified that I am a Special Education teacher and tried to assert my integrity, I was met with a demeaning response: “You need to check your role.” The manager Edgar did make an attempt to solve the problem but failed miserably! Please let me know if this can be handled! This interaction was not only unprofessional and disrespectful, but also carried racial undertones that made me feel targeted and humiliated in a public setting. No guest—regardless of their background—should ever be subjected to this kind of treatment at a world-renowned establishment like Aria. I ask that this matter be taken seriously. I request that: 1. This employee be identified and held accountable. 2. A formal apology be issued/etc. 3. Staff receive additional training in professionalism, implicit bias, and respectful customer service. As someone who serves the public and works in education, I hold myself to a high standard and expect the same from those representing your brand. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing how you plan to address this. Let me know if there is anything that needs to be further discussed! I am very appalled on how I was treated ! I will follow up soon! Sincerely, Mrs. Williams

I’m on the last day/night of my vacation and I tried placing a sports bet through the betmgm app and was having issues accessing my account. The technical support staff were very kind and patient with me, working with me for over an hour to try and figure out why I was not able to log in. Finally, they created a ticket and said that another tech support team for the app would be in touch with me between 48-72 hours to help troubleshoot the issue, which was fine. So because I wasn’t able to place a bet through the betmgm app, I decided to just place the sports bet over the counter. I told the gentleman, “I want to put a $100 on Duke straight up”, and he printed my ticket and I put it in my pocket and thought nothing of it. I came back after the game had finished when Duke had won, and when I gave him my ticket to the same gentleman, he’s like, “oh this isn’t a winner, they didn’t cover the spread”, and my reply was, “I didn’t want a spread bet, I just wanted to bet the winner of the game”. This gentleman had just finished dealing with an unruly customer right before me and so I could tell that he was still agitated when dealing with me, and took no accountability and was not very kind in his demeanor. Basically ignoring what I said, and just kind of shooed me away. I was thoroughly enjoying my vacation up until this point, and I know it’s just $100, but still, the lack of empathy and failure to acknowledge that there was a misunderstanding between us really bothered me. I know it’s not the Aria’s fault, but this really makes me not want to stay here next time. Ending my vacation on a frustrating note is not a satisfactory customer experience, and if I could give this review zero stars, I would.

Google
I’m a local and my husband and I used to love visiting the Aria Sports Bar. Had not been back since the pandemic. We were charged $6.00 for this tiny water bottle that used to be free at the casino plus the bar tender was extremely rude. Super disappointed!!

Google
The staff (one particular waitress) was so disrespectful & discriminatory. She told me that I had to start a tab or sit in the back which if that’s the requirement I’m fine with it. However I didn’t see the majority of people order anything much less start a tab.

Google
This was the longest experience I’ve had at an MGM hotel. It took over 15+ minutes without anyone waiting. The staff were nice and accommodating. The signup process took so long! The viewing was great for all the screens and sports playing. At least offer some water if people signing up have to wait 15+ minutes signing up.

Google
Man what an idiotically run program they have here. Waitress isn’t allowed to bring me a drink until I get up and walk to the desk and buy a ticket??? It took 25 minutes just to get in the door cuz they insisted we download this stupid app we didn’t want. How bout this: let people come in, sit down, bet, and drink. Meanwhile, Circa sportsbook is AWESOME! Go there instead.

Google
Small but nice sports book. The horse racing TVs froze multiple times; I think the system had to be rebooted to get them working again. Asked staff to put a hockey game on the main tv because my group were the only people in the entire place. The response was that they cant turn off a basketball game in the fourth quarter (a 30+ point difference with 6 minutes left). Someone came out from the back to agree. If there was even a single other person in the sports book then I understand and would never ask. Why keep a game that no one is watching?

Niel

Google
A great place to come place a quick bet, but not a great place to stay and watch sports. The book is small and not well laid out for pure sports watching. The chairs are comfortable but there are too few of them. The bar next door is a more enjoyable spot to watch a game.

Yelp
It's not a huge sports book, but it's very comfortable. The sports book at the aria is located near the Aria poker room and directly behind Moneyline pizza. The staff is friendly and the cocktail waitresses come by often. The staff has always been generous with the drink coupons and the BetMgm Kiosks are easily accessible. Non smoking Sportsbook You can make food and beverage reservations for the Lounge seating area . Plenty of overhead HD TV'S The only negative is they don't have food service or a snack bar. Moneyline pizza is pretty much your only nearby option

Yelp
Must come if you want to make money and get a nice feel for Vegas. The bartenders here are awesome! They recommended the Tokyo Tea drink for me and I'm glad I got it!

Yelp
We've reserved seats here multiple times for several sporting events from UFC, Football and March Madness. Mitch is always very helpful! Servers attentive. They do a great job keeping trash picked up. One of my favorite places to watch games!

Yelp
Stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday . Had a great bartender named OJ . Made the best Bloody Mary I've ever had and was a cool dude . I'll be back for sure ! Thank you aria

Yelp
We come here regularly to place bets. Aria is my favorite spot on the strip, also very central to a lot of places around I come often (Cosmopolitan, MGM Park, T mobile arena...). The sports book gets busy especially when college games are on. There's a VIP section which is great. Right outside there's a great pizza place and the sports bar.

Daniel P.

Yelp
They all don't want to work here and make sure you know. The money line carry out pizza does a very good job. The sit down Moneyline isn't helpful

Yelp
One of the KEY reasons why I choose to stay at Aria when in Vegas is to be able to wake up real early and simply come down to this area in securing a good seat on any given NFL Sunday games! I absolutely love this sports betting and spectating area of this resort! Comfortable Seats. Multiple Screens. Five/50 Pizza only a few steps away. Potent Bloody Marys and Whiskey Sours. And, the very BEST part - NO SMOKING ALLOWED! Electrifying it is also here during college football and college basketball seasons! Personally, my favorite time to be here for college games is during The Final Four of NCAAB - many, many surprises! Security is strict, no loitering or sitting on the floor in the viewing area! The one improvement I'd love to see is with their drinks service, always hard to get/order a drink even when it's half empty! CHEERS!

Yelp
Not the biggest sports book in Vegas, but certainly one of the very nicest. Plenty of big screens to follow all the sports actions or ESPN commentaries. Besides the modern wall of monitors it is a great relaxing spot to watch the games. Except during March Madness, when this venue is packed like a tin of sardine in oil. Although for VIP guests, there are designated area of luxurious pampering in comfy seatings with a low cocktail servers to guests ratio during game time But the main reason I think this is the best race & sports book to actually spend time in, is the fact that the entire area is designated non-smoking. For anyone concerned about unwanted second hand smoke, worry no more! Plus Five50 is literally around the corner, if good but pricey slices of gourmet pizzas. Enjoy the facility and wager responsibly.

Yelp
Staff can be friendlier but great food and music Not a big fan of the table games. Beautiful scenery

Yelp
Update: One of "Jenna's" friends took the time out of her day to message me through the Yelp app making unappreciated comments toward my experience. Jenna's probably a nice person, whatever, but my wife and me were unimpressed. May not have been her fault they might have had a call out or an under scheduling of employees. Not my fault. My review was for The Aria sportsbook and only mentioned Jenna as she was the one my wife remembered the name of. The fact that Aria employees or friends of Employees are harassing me several months after a genuine review making assumptions about me is a true testament of how certifiably insane staying here again would be. Check your crazy at the door lady. First time staying at the Aria, the sports book is nice but one of the smaller Race and Sports books in Vegas. Most people can live with it as the chairs are comfy and the place is nice. The service here is absolutely dreadful. Good luck getting server "Jenna" or her fellow employees to even ask you if you need anything. They simply cannot be bothered. They are rude. I would never in my life recommend this sports book to anyone, unless they were my enemies and I wanted to torture them with the service of their servers. I hope anyone reading this considers traveling to a different book if staying at the Aria.

Yelp
I really like this sports book, yiyea.. to place sports bets and watch all the games! The viewing area is pretty nice with an abundance of all the great TV screens to catch different games at the same time with their large area for comfy seats. This sports book isn't too big, which is nice in a way, but it can also mean it gets crowded so if you don't get here early enough to snag a seat.. you'll be stuck standing. Overall, a a fantastic option for sports lovers in this nice hotel casino as I like it much better than some of the other sport books in town.

Daniel Y.

Yelp
Sports book has really declined. I come out about 4-6x/yr. Aria sports book staff has become rude. Now with the pandemic they have people hounding you to put a mask back in even if your sitting with a drink in your hand. I am all for mask wearing but it's getting a little ridiculous at all MGM properties to be constantly asked to put a mask up as soon as you place your drink down. Cesar's lot more customer friendly these days.

Yelp
Perhaps it gets bagged for its size (lack of), and odds board (smallish, basically non-existent). But it gets a wow factor of 6.0 stars for 2 massive TVs, with a very clear picture. Its not that massive of a room, neither. Seated in comfy leather chairs, I made the most of a lovely afternoon of watching Stanford/Michigan State football, an Old Fashioned drink, and running into another Yelper. Done and Fun!

Yelp
The place can be cramped- it would be great to see this venue get more space. The good thing though is the betting process is easy to understand, the process to place a bet and retrieve winnings is quick and staff at these windows are friendly. One area that was surprising was the "bouncer" assigned to keep the pathways clear was very robotic in his script. He kept saying keep the walkways clear for my cocktail servers over and over. What is surprising is this gave an impression he cared more about staff then the ones paying their bill. He could have easily asked people to move changing up his script and mentioning to have a safe travel path or something before just saying because of my staff. Overall an A-OK experience, one I would return to but one that I would quickly look for competitors for as well.

Yelp
Wow!! This place BLOWS!! Raiders vs Chiefs. Thursday Night Football. The Aria knew this game was scheduled 9 months ago, yet only has one server and one bus boy on duty. We were here before kick off and it took 30 minutes to get our first drink! Now 30 minutes later still waiting for second drink. One server. 100 people. Great TV and Sportsbook room. Horse Sh*t Service! Go to any other Sportsbook. #shameonAria

Yelp
IF you can get a seat this is an amazing place to watch some games, I say that in capitol letters because it can be very difficult to get a seat. They have pizza Five-50 right outside which has great food and great shakes. This is my favorite sports book in Vegas aside from the Cosmo, the Cosmo has easier seating as it doesn't get as busy but this is the best...but it's so hard finding a seat sometimes.
google avatar

Kevin J.

Yelp
I bought two tickets for Auburn vs Alabama. I paid for Auburn straight up and also with the line of 10. NOT Alabama. The idiot working who's name is Mike totally messed up my slip. I never think twice about checking my slip because I assume these "proffesionals" are doing there job correctly. I ended up losing a lot of money. Won't deal with these people anymore. To add to the sportsbook...there's not a lot of room. AND they also took more space away as they opened away mew pizza place there. So it's EVEN SMALLER wow... The pizza place is very good. Pizza is good but service sucks. I expect it from aria now. The people are trashy. Didn't expect it at aria but it's a fact. Won't come here. Don't come here
google avatar

Sabrina C.

Yelp
I haven't done much sports betting but I wasn't impressed by this place. Their betting sheets were pretty far back in the space and hard to find. There was not a lot of seating available and they didn't have all of the NCAA football games of the day playing. Please add more seating space and more game diversity.
google avatar

Jillian W.

Yelp
Really comfortable seating! And you can bring in delicious wood fired pizza from Five50 Pizza Bar that right around the corner.
google avatar

Shari G.

Yelp
Elitist, unwelcoming, rude and dismissive. If you're not a VIP don't bother. Sure they'll take your money, but regular people are an inconvenience to them. Take your money elsewhere, they apparently don't need it.
google avatar

Lance T.

Yelp
Very comfortable sports book that's not too big and fancy. The bet takers are usually very patient and knowledgable although there's definitely a few better than others. I go there several times during NFL season and I'll surely be back for NCAA sweet 16. I'd probably give them a 3 1/2 star rating if available because of a few issues that I think a higher rated book would have? pros; very comfortable Friendly staff clean and secure Not too big (lines aren't out of control) Great overhead HD TV's cons; Ventilation poor.....if there's someone smoking nearby then bring your gas mask! Odds board behind the seating and difficult to see from your seats. It would be nice to have it up front near the TVs No food service although if you're looking for decent "bar food" it's close by within a within a short walk. "Comp drink tickets" don't come cheap. They used to be 1/$100 bet. Now it's 1/$140 bet I believe. Overall, it's my go-to sports book until I find another one with the amenities and design that I've discussed.

Yelp
Not sure of normal experience since there was only one waitress for entire sports book, but there were about 15-20 of us and after 30 minutes she didn't even acknowledge us. I flagged her down and asked for a beer and she smiled and nodded her head....I walked next door while DH watched his game and ordered food from the take out pizza place and was quoted 25 minutes. 30 minutes later... I got my food and was eating and looking for our waitress who had not brought my drink nor was anywhere to be found. At this point it was getting much fuller and I assumed she was out getting beverages. She returned with an empty tray, removed some empty wine glasses from a couple leaving and walked back out. Returned 5 minutes later with another empty tray and never spoke to anyone. She made eye contact from across the room and hurried out, so I assumed she realized she forgot and went to grab my drink. Nope. Another few minutes passed and now almost done with my meal, I decided to go up to the bar and get my own beer... They need more staff or at least some kick ass waitress who is willing to offer service or hustle...at the very least. She could've been making a killing, especially not having to share with any other servers... Really disappointed. Worst service ever in Vegas- the town that caters to your every whim...just not in Aria's sports book today:/

Yelp
The Aria Sports Book deserves a little of dedicated love. It is 10,000-square-feet of television heaven, and if you happen to be looking for sports, it is close to a nirvana. I can't commit to 5-stars because I don't bet on sports, so I can't comment on the favorability of placing bets here. However, for pure viewing pleasure: it rocks! Just today I grabbed a delicious turkey burger from the Skybox To-Go window and set up camp to watch some Olympics. Sadly, I witnessed the US men's beach volleyball team be eliminated on a 220" screen, but the shear mass of the screen made the experience bearable. I double-checked, and they have 90 high definition TVs here. If it isn't Super Bowl Sunday or another high traffic sporting event, it rarely seems crowded. There are plenty of comfy seats and tables too. I am a fan.
google avatar

Dee W.

Yelp
So much nicer environment than the other sports book places I've seen. Comfy sofas and big screen tvs set apart from the noise and smoke of the casino. Service is great. So why deduct one star? Because it's so popular it's hard to find a place to sit!
google avatar

Kandace P.

Yelp
Line goes super fast. Large area but on Sunday, it was packed by 10am. They need to put bigger TV's in the other lounge areas so when this place is full, you can still watch the game. First time betting and other than losing some money, good first experience.

Bryan B.

Yelp
If you're more of a sports fan than a sports gambler, this is a great place to crash in the mornings and early afternoons. Whereas many sports books are all about business, the atmosphere here is very chill. The leather chairs are so comfortable one melts right into them, and while there are definitely better TV arrangements in Vegas sports books, the picture quality on the Aria's giant main screens is great. Right at the entrance once can pick up a slice of pizza to complete the "sports den" experience. The common complaints are valid. The odds boards are in an awkward spot, almost on the ceiling behind the main seating area, and some of the seats are extremely close to the TV screens. Because it is set back from the casino floor and is relatively small compared to some of the more notable sports books in town, a busy football Saturday and Sunday or March Madness could conceivably get uncomfortable with a large crowd. The racing space is comfortable but definitely downplayed. All in all, the setup of the Aria sports book seems to place the emphasis on providing an enjoyable space to watch sports rather than on the gambling. That might not make it a great fit for the dedicated sports/racing bettor, but a sports fan looking for a place to watch some games while placing a wager or three can get a lot of mileage out of it.
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
Good lord, this place is awful for watching the sports you've bet on. The setup is terrible and they have really bad screens for displaying the lines and the results. With that said, I do like going to here to place bets because they are fast, efficient and knowledgeable, and because they generally have a deeper selection on MMA bets than other casinos. The staff is really nice and they let you pick up your winnings at the casino cage if it's after hours and the sports book is closed. Place your bets here but go watch your game someplace else.
google avatar

Henry R.

Yelp
The sports book at the Aria has great TV's to watch any sporting event. Placing bets are easy and fast. The only negaive is that the seating is limted. Since the area is on the smaller side there are not many seats so arrive early if you want to kick back and enjoy the games.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Way too crowded, lack of seating, tight quarters. There are much better options on the strip for a good sports bar
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Went here to watch Thursday Night Football - the place is packed - as it should be and they have great pizza being served right next to it. I gave it 4 stars because they could offer more seating in some of the empty space that they have so less people have to stand.
google avatar

Jody S.

Yelp
The race book is fine. The sports book is not and improvement needs to be prioritized. I like the rooms so much but the sports book not so much and it is very important in my choice of a hotel. The TV's are fine. The layout and size is meh. The seats a-ok. Visibility to odds is an issue. I understand this may not be a huge area for profit but an investment in the sports book would make Aria an obvious choice for my Vegas stays.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
This place gets 5 stars because it's smoke free! Yes, you can enjoy a day of sports without the stench of stale cigarette. The couches and chairs are very comfortable. Service was lacking every time we went. Even with poor service, this was still out favorite Sports book.
google avatar

Elias D.

Yelp
What a blown opportunity for a Sportsbook. Huge HD screens are quite nice, yet only about 8 people will get to enjoy the screens since 95% of the seats are either too close to the screens or are facing the wrong way. The seating is a total disaster. There's zero depth. It's a shame since the screens are so nice. There is a massive 16'X9' HD screen on the far wall, but guess what? None of the comfortable chairs are facing it. Another big mistake: they got rid of the Sky Box restaurant, which served very decent food and was very convenient. They offer wraps, but nothing special. They will not allow you to bring in "outside food" even from places like Wolfgang Puck's which is conveniently located. I much prefer Luxor Sportsbook or LVH when it comes to viewing important sporting events. Their futures odds are based on MGM's odds, which offer absolutely zero value. The Aria Sportsbook is a blown opportunity. Until they fix these issues, I'll be at the Luxor.

Aileen C.

Yelp
I belong to a wonderful man who loves his football. God bless him and the rest of American sports. It's become an annual tradition that every weekend the Trojans play (because all I am is a college football fan) that we go to Vegas so my wonderful man who loves his football can do a few days of sports betting. Saturdays are dedicated to college football and Sundays are dedicated to the NFL. If it were possible, I'd allow an affair between the NFL and my wonderful man who loves his football. Since I'm voyeuristic in all respects, all I ask is he provide me a comfy seat to sit in for 4 hours while I watch his affair. And my wonderful man who loves his football did not disappoint. Well, and neither did Aria. Aria's sports book was full of HUGE a** chairs that were very comfy to sit in for 4 hours without getting up. The hostesses were attentive and served your drinks fast. We usually watch our sports at Caesars or MGM, but I think we've found our new hangout.... and my wonderful man who loves his football can continue his affair with the NFL without hearing a peep from me. A happy wife is a happy life.
