On my last night of a business trip in Mexico city, all by myself, without agenda for where or when for dinner....Well, let me share as
1) I do not write reviews unless overwhelmed
2) I was strolling around Roma Norte and by chance found Beto Beto to quench my hunger and thirst. There was a nice mix of people inside and some Jimi Hendrix playing out the window.
3. As soon as I walked in they welcomed me immediately and got me a nice spot at the bar. I don't speak any Spanish but JP (apparently the owner) took care of me and found some great dishes on the menu for me and introduced me to some great local wines. I had the chicken milanesa which was cooked and seasoned to perfection and also the cesar salad which was light and very well- dressed.
4. I was taken aback to hear the place had only recently opened since everything was so well done and the interior had such a timeless colonial vibe.
5. Take if from me, if you are in the neighborhood, it is a must to visit, enjoy, and tell JP that Mark from NY says how ya' doin!
