The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely be back and recommend this hospital to anyone.

This hospital SUCKS! Not everyone that works there needs to be there! There is one white heavy set nurse with short blond spiked hair there that is rude, heartless and very condescending… I wish I knew her name so I could file a formal complaint against her! Y’all are there to provide quality healthcare and help… not make a situation worse! DO BETTER!

Seon Boutique

Google
Staff is rude do not know how to speak to you and will just transfer the call from person to person. Will call and confirm appointments for a different time than what is scheduled. The most unprofessional and rude people. The health field has gone to hell in a hand basket and they are a prime example. Due to my experience before ever going leads me to the decision to never go. Don't settle for this behavior, there are other hospitals!!! 👎👎👎👎

Google
D.O. never checked my insulin level! That is the only marker hyperinsulin.

Coll Aldridge

Google
They worked hard to make sure my problem shouldn't return. I felt that for as slow as it was for an emergency room there could have been a bit less talking at the desk and maybe more making sure the patients had what was needed, like a call light.

Youlanda Hudson

Google
The staff is nice but the Doctor doesn't listen. Just rushes you out of the emergency room as if he could care less. The Doctor has no empathy and made excuses for my symptoms!

Yelp
I came in due an other visit it is absolutely ridiculous that I have been here since 10:25 am and about 4 to 5 people came in after and has gotten seen, before me. I am in the healthcare field and for someone to have to walk in this emergency room and tell them they are dying just so they can get seen and not be just sitting in the waiting room. because their staff obviously does not care. You got nurses coming and having conversation with security! why are you not in the back doing your job when your lobby is full! I work 12 shift I've had no sleep on top of working last night and guess what now I'm gonna be losing more sleep because I work tonight this is absolutely insane

Yelp
Came in after being in a car accident and got multiple CT scans. Everything was very efficient. Everybody was super professional, warm and kind.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went in because I was concerned I could be having an ectopic pregnancy. I arrived at 12:30 am, didn't get triaged until 1:30, then didn't get into a room until 2:30. After they drew blood and I gave them a urine sample, I waited another hour for the doctor to come in and attempt to do the ultrasound and he ended up having to call the on call ultrasound tech in to do a transvaginal. This was around 3:30. At 5:30, I still hadn't been seen by the tech and I just decided to leave and go to an Urgent care this morning. I was there for FIVE HOURS.

Yelp
Care is terrible here. I'm being 100% serious when I say this but don't come here unless you don't mind dying! Wait times are the worst they have no urgency.

Joan E.

Yelp
The care I got was good. I just don't like that while going to outpatient surgery I had to enter into the emergency room and register at a desk station located in the emergency room. No one needs to be exposed to sick people right before surgery and maybe have to deal with being sick while recovering.

Yelp
Attended a COVID-19 vaccine clinic today held by the Harnett Health system at the Dunn Community Center. It was probably the most efficient operation I've ever seen - from parking my car to getting a shot in my arm was a total of 13 minutes! And there was a steady flow of people coming into the clinic as well. Thanks for working hard to get North Carolina vaccinated! For more info on their vaccine clinics (walk in only as of now): https://myharnetthealth.org/covid-19-section/ (Pro tip - to avoid the traffic entering the parking lot, avoid Jackson Road and go around park on Elm St to park at Tart Park.

Yelp
I have been in this hospital for over a week with an infection, requiring 3 surgeries during my stay. I have had my battles with mental health and substance abuse during my life, but only mental and physical health now. I have almost zero family and struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a few other ailments. I don't always have an easy time communicating with hospital staff when experiencing symptoms from these problems. I have had good and bad experiences since being here, but because of one nurse Celeste, I am leaving here with a more positive outlook on humanity. Even though I am rough around the edges and can be intimidating to some people, she treated me with empathy, compassion, and understanding that I didn't realize how much positive effect it could have on me. She went outside her responsibilities as a nurse and helped me on a human level, which in turn, helped me to address situations, and people in a more positive light. Some nurses here do it for the paycheck but Celeste is a kind individual that everyone could learn from. I hope anyone that has to stay in the hospital gets to have a nurse like Celeste because it changed me from a sad, angry person into an optimistic, grateful man again. God bless!

Yelp
Do not go to this hospital you will not see a doctor. He will see a contractor doctor that's out of network who will treat you with discussed and when you file a complaint, you will not be listen to you will be told. Thank you very much. See you again soon do not go here. I received a bill that was over a year old for some contract doctor that's not in net work and they are demanding $900 from the most rudest doctor. I waited six hours hours to see after my children were in a car wreck and transferred by ambulance. They had to sit in the waiting room in the ER on the hardest chair do you ever see no water no penny machine, no decency, and no idea of what Customer Service is only to have my insurance not filed, and I have to fight just to get any sort of information. This is the worst place ever go to UNC hospital in Smithfield go to WakeMed go anywhere, but here.

Yelp
This is the most confusing conglomeration of medical services in the world. You see a physician in one city, get billed by a clinic in another city, and you never know what's going on. You call a local medical clinic with a question, the call is answered at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, they take your information, and obviously flush it. So you don't get your questions answered and you never know just what is going on. I think the Harnett Health system is much too big for those in management to manage.

Yelp
I took my dad to this poor excuse for an emergency department because he was having a long list of ailments. When the doctor finally saw him, he wrote notes on a PAPER TOWEL. I wanted to ask "Why can't you afford a 99-cent composition book?" but I kept my sarcasm to myself. Many other things went wrong during his 24 hours at this "facility," but that alone should be enough to get a 1-star rating.

Yelp
The care and treatment you get is subpar . They treat what they want not listening to patient and send you out with minimal care. I really think you would get better care at a veterinarian office . They don't know how to diagnose a stroke, heart attack can't even put a catheter in right . Gravity folks you don't attach to waist area further down and use a lock as to not cause pressure. Subpar medical care at its finest.

Yelp
My Husband was there for a week. U NEVER got him up to walk around. Now that he is home, he still CAN NOT walk. His legs are still very weak. We now have HOME HEALTH, but once they leave I can not get him up to walk or shower. I am 72 years old and I have STAGE 5 Kidney Failure and I have to have tubes put in my ears. What do I do in a case like this? He has already fallen twice. I am really frightened that he will fall again. Thank U for at least listening.

Yelp
What is wrong with the staff at Betsy Johnson hospital??? Sister is in there now. Nurses don't know how to put an IV in with out hurting her real bad!!! Room was not CLEAN when she arrived!! Had to ask for TOILET paper and wash cloth. Came to her to get BLOOD,the techs didn't know how to put IV in either!!! The hospital needs supervisor's to follow the whole staff for a while then they would know what's going on in that hospital!!!!!

Yelp
Sat in waiting room of ER for over an hour. Noone would answer questions. Just kept stating all of their beds were full. More people sitting doing nothing than wirking

La'Keysha M.

Yelp
SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!! They CLEARLY do NOT know how to care for patients. you'd be a fool to step foot in this "hospital"

J B.

Yelp
What an absolute disaster of a hospital. Outdated and rundown. Everyone wears a mask but not a drop of antibacterial in sight. Take you to one room just to take vitals then say we are very full and it's going to be a long wait. 3hrs in the ER waiting room!

Rosalva H.

Yelp
There was not place to give a lower review. My husband died for lack of care last month. They didn't do there best to check his vitals. Make sure they check all vitals, especially blood work, where they failed to notice his blood pressure was elevated. He died of a heart attack as soon as he came home.

Yelp
The doctor, staff, and even the security can not be trusted to hear your needs. They falsified my answers and despite telling me that my health issue mattered. Never once listened and administered any treatment. After being in there for 8 hours. Never being offered a drink. I asked for one myself. After 10 hours in the ER the doctor still had no time to address my course of treatment. After being brought breakfast 12 hours in and not being able to eat it, because they never asked me my health needs. I waited 2-4 hours longer and finally got a nurse to listen to my prior health concerns. I stopped my nurse in the hall between toilet breaks. Informing her I needed to speak with the doctor. Most all of my interactions were short and no true concern about me or my needs. Not once did the doctors ask me if I had other health issues. Even after they asked me at the door. What medicines I was taking. NEVER was the concern about me. My previous health issue barely got met and my main health issue never got treated despite my partner bringing it in the medication that I needed to take. They never gave me that medicine. In 30 hours know one address concern. I asked to be helped with no one cared about my previous health issues. There was black grime that builds up on the floor in every place that I went. Even the room I was in had not been truly cleaned. There was trash on the floor, grass, stains, and the worst part about that is I saw there cleaner go by four times. With such a unsuitable atmosphere it is a wonder how more COVID-19 cases are not popping up. Do not trust the night time security. They will lie to you and manhandle you at any given chance. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, THAT IF YOU CAN GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION, TO DO SO, AT ALL COSTS.

Sherry M.

Yelp
Not a very compassionate administration nor night head nurse. Day nurses were lovely.

Yelp
Went to this hospitals emergency room with my wife as instructed by a nurse via phone call. My wife's blood pressure was 186/97 (she had previously been bitten by a non venomous spider and was taking an antibiotic and an antihistamine to counteract the swelling and hives) which may have caused the rise in pressure. We arrived at 2000 on a Friday, and she was seen by the triage around 2030 we sat until about 0140 before she was walked back to her room. When we arrived there was about 10-12 people in front of us. When she was taking to the back about 6-8 people remained in the waiting area. I've been to emergency rooms before but I've never waited this long. Not sure why it took so long, hell i feel asleep around 2230 and woke up at 0115 like "we still here, what time is it? Not a great way to spend the Friday night. They did resolve the issue but wow that took a bit.

Yelp
I'll start with saying that the staff seems nice. The hospital is disgusting. Dirt everywhere. My daughter needed an mri and the machine had booger's and hair inside of it. Nothing seems to be sanitized and I truly felt as if we were in a horror movie

Karen F.

Yelp
My husband had severe chest pains and shortness of breath went to er, waited 15 mins before being registered, because the lady was registering someone for outpatient lab work...REALLY!!!! I told the lady that my husband was having chest pains--she didn't care...TRIAGE was a joke, they told us to wait in waiting room because of no beds...REALLY! we left. went home. called EMS and they took him to REX hsp, where they kept him and now schedule for a heart cath...WOW! If we would have waiting at Betsy in waiting thinking there would be a different out come..glad we left. BETSY JOHNSON is a JOKE and nothing but a band aid hosp, offering no compassion its all about them taking your money ..DISGUSTED!

Yelp
Here at emergency room saw gloves dropped on nasty floor picked back up and put in glove box to be used again. Great Obama care

Fisher L.

Yelp
As a former employee here and nurse I was appalled at the way I was treated even with my Dr calling to make sure I was to be transferred. I had a bed waiting on me at Rex and because BJ was so slow it was given away and I had to wait over night and then treated like a nobody and left hours without being seen by a nurse. Took my own nitro patch off because my BP dropped 78/37 but she didn't bother to even care and then got mad when I told her. They acted like my chest pain was fake bc my EKG was normal. Hello BJ, sometimes it doesn't always prove to be the case. Come to find out thanks to Rex who was amazing I have a rare autonomic nervous system disorder and they didn't once hesitate to treat me ugly or make me feel as if I was a nobody. As a nurse who works all the time and never goes to the doctor unless I have to I was very ashamed of the way healthcare professionals treated me at this hospital and will never go back or my family if given the choice!!! By the way I was so sick at Rex and on the transport I was on a nitro drip and had defibrillator pads placed on me so to those at BJ who treat people this way I pray you find a different profession because this is not where you need to be.
