How to Plan an Unforgettable Trip to Rome, According to Local Experts

"Every time I exit Termini Station, I sigh with comfort at the sight of this trusty four-star in a fascist-era Art Deco building." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We were two families staying here, had one family room and one junior suite. Super clean rooms and the size is great comparing with usual Rome hotels room size. Location of the hotel is fantastic, the suite is newly renovated. The service provided by Roberta since check in and during all the stay was exceptional! She was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional, and truly made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciate it and surely we will return whenever we are in Rome.

The preserved Art Deco interiors were amazing. At the same time, all the modern essentials were there. The hotel and the rooms were very clean. ||Only two small negatives. First, WiFi on 4th floor dropped out occasionally. Breakfast could be worked on with better coffee and more options. Perhaps, the hotel could consider charging a EUR5-10.00 more per night to provide a better breakfast

Every member of the staff greeted me with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. Their service truly stood out. They even offered to change my room twice—once due to a small bit of water damage in the bathroom and again because the house phone wasn’t working. I chose to stay in my original room both times, but their generosity and hospitality showed how committed they were to making my stay exceptional.||I don’t have a single complaint about this hotel. The complimentary amenities were a pleasant surprise: two bottles of wine, two cokes, four waters, plus tea and coffee in the room—far more than what most hotels offer these days.||The location is excellent as well, with great restaurants nearby and the main train terminal just one block away. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Unfortunately, our trolley suitcase was stolen from the front of the hotel. Despite this stressful situation, the hotel staff were incredibly kind, supportive, and professional. Luca B. took special care of us, and we truly felt that we were not left alone to deal with it. The hotel took responsibility and compensated us, which we deeply appreciated. Beyond this incident, the hotel itself is very clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff are simply amazing. Their attitude and care turned a bad experience into one that showed real integrity and hospitality.

Historic hotel, the Art Decoration is amazing. At the same time, all the modern essentials were there. Friendly reception staff.|The hotel & the room were very clean.|Beds were comfortable, there is a minibar & is chargeable.||The location is excellent, a lot of restaurants are nearby & the main train station just 5 min away. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.||Breakfast area is huge with many varieties to taste.|Until next visit.

Location is good, but be careful — there are a lot of pickpockets in this area. The security guards are doing a great job and I felt safe throughout my stay. However, the reception and some staff do not give a welcoming attitude. It felt like guests were not really welcomed, as most of the staff looked busy and did not smile. The room was clean and housekeeping did their job well. Service: 2/5 ⭐ Room Cleanliness: 5/5 ⭐ Safety: 5/5 ⭐

Stayed here 20 years ago after a recent remodel to their original elegance. Staying here now for 11 nights and they have again recently upgraded keeping with the original 1930's Art Deco style. We love the hotel and we love the convenience of being across the street from Termini, the main metro, train and bus station. We highly recommend. Last evening we dined in their sister hotel, the Massima, across the street. It was old fashion elegance and the service and food were super.

Rooms were beautiful & very clean. Breakfast was less than average - there is no kitchen in this hotel, so eggs were cold (shuttled in from across the street) & no other real substantial options (croissants, fruit). Front desk staff is terribly rude. My key card had to be reprogrammed several days in a row & they always acted like it was such an inconvenience for them! (No apology to me having to come down from floor 5 each time) … which by the way, the elevators are crazy-slow, so the stairs were preferred. Even more importantly, I had 3 pairs of shoes in a shopping bag that were just “GONE” from my room & nobody could find them. The front desk acted like I made it up or accidentally put them in the trash can! He weirdly pointed to a waste basket & asked me if I put them in there! Then again, never offered an apology or anything further!! I offered my contact info, thinking they might reach out with an apology or something later.. I’m sure you’ll be shocked to hear, I’ve not heard from them since checkout (2wks ago). I would definitely not recommend this hotel!
