Bettyhill Hotel

We were warmly welcomed and then shown to our lovely sunny room, overlooking the hill, but still a beautiful view. The beds were really comfortable and quiet. I had the best fish pie I have ever eaten in the restaurant and the staff were friendly and efficient. Stunning view from the restaurant. A shame we were only here for one night, it’s a lovely hotel. Also has a safe beach for swimming!

Room was spacious and comfortable. Disappointing to find the previous guests used towels had been left behind and we couldn’t get the tv to work properly. The staff were very good both on reception and in the restaurant. Food was very good too. We thought the room rate was quite expensive comparatively.

We've just pulled away from the car park of the Bettyhill Hotel after a wonderful stay and although I don’t usually leave reviews, I simple had to after our visit! ||Our room was spotless and clearly recently renovated, with a bed so comfortable I was tempted to take it home. If you're lucky enough to get a sea-facing room, the views over the bay are nothing short of spectacular. Definitely take a walk down to either of the stunning beaches while you stay. You won’t regret it!||Breakfast was included and delicious. There was a great choice on the menu, along with a well-stocked continental selection you could help yourself to. We also had dinner in the bar one evening - one of the best meals we've had during our tour of the North Coast!||We brought our dog along, and he was truly pampered by the staff. Lots of fuss and treats throughout our stay. It made such a difference to feel he was as welcome as we were.||But what really sets Bettyhill Hotel apart is the team. Every single person we encountered — from reception to the bar and breakfast staff — was warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Their friendliness and attention to detail really made our stay special.||We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Stopped off here for food while doing the NC500. Great food, really nicely prepared. Would recommend the seafood pie, full of delicious king prawns, salmon and haddock.

If you’re doing the NC500, you absolutely have to stay at the Bettyhill Hotel. I only stayed one night and genuinely wish I could have stayed longer. The staff are nothing short of incredible – so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The food? Outstanding. Both breakfast and dinner were top-notch, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour.||The rooms are immaculate – spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The pub downstairs is equally lovely, with a great atmosphere and even a pool table to wind down after a day of driving.||This hotel really is a gem and one of the highlights of my trip. Don’t miss it!

I have run tours to Scotland each year (from US) for over 30 years and have stayed in some of the finest country house hotels throughout Scotland. When I find a good one, I return every time I repeat the itinerary. Bettyhill Hotel is outstanding...all the staff were delightful and attentive, the food was amazing, the rooms have all been upgraded and are comfortable and spacious and the location can't be beaten. My group LOVED their stay here. This will be my go-to hotel whenever I'm visiting Sutherland. TERRIFIC!

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Dinner and breakfast were both good. Amazing view from room. Only criticism was that we would have liked water in the room.

My stay at the Bettyhill Hotel was delightful. The staff were welcoming and helpful and able to accommodate my sister and I arriving a little later than usual after a long day of driving. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a modern renovated bathroom. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious and filling with an amazing view of the North Scotland coast. Dramatic scenery, a comfortable environment, can't be beat! I would definitely come back here in the future!
