Bettyhill Hotel

We've just pulled away from the car park of the Bettyhill Hotel after a wonderful stay and although I don’t usually leave reviews, I simple had to after our visit! ||Our room was spotless and clearly recently renovated, with a bed so comfortable I was tempted to take it home. If you're lucky enough to get a sea-facing room, the views over the bay are nothing short of spectacular. Definitely take a walk down to either of the stunning beaches while you stay. You won’t regret it!||Breakfast was included and delicious. There was a great choice on the menu, along with a well-stocked continental selection you could help yourself to. We also had dinner in the bar one evening - one of the best meals we've had during our tour of the North Coast!||We brought our dog along, and he was truly pampered by the staff. Lots of fuss and treats throughout our stay. It made such a difference to feel he was as welcome as we were.||But what really sets Bettyhill Hotel apart is the team. Every single person we encountered — from reception to the bar and breakfast staff — was warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Their friendliness and attention to detail really made our stay special.||We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

We loved our stay here. Best service we've had in the UK so far - friendly, competent and professional. Our room was newly renovated, spacious with fantastic seaviews and a good shower and comfy bed. We are touring independently by bicycle, this was a great choice for cyclists. Safe space to store bikes overnight. Bettyhill is also a lovely small village with stunning beaches and a fantastic small museum. Highly highly recommend this family owned and well run business!

I have run tours to Scotland each year (from US) for over 30 years and have stayed in some of the finest country house hotels throughout Scotland. When I find a good one, I return every time I repeat the itinerary. Bettyhill Hotel is outstanding...all the staff were delightful and attentive, the food was amazing, the rooms have all been upgraded and are comfortable and spacious and the location can't be beaten. My group LOVED their stay here. This will be my go-to hotel whenever I'm visiting Sutherland. TERRIFIC!

We stayed here for 1 night with our dog and it was a very nice surprise how clean new and freshly decorated it was inside. The staff were really nice and made us feel welcome, the food was good, the room was clean and tidy, plenty of parking and the bar and lounge area is nice and welcoming. A must see is Farr Beach which is a short walk from the hotel which is absolutely fantastic and a great place for your dog to run around on.

Best hotel I’ve stayed at on my North Coast 500 trip. The rooms are great. The showers are nicely renovated. The staff is outstanding. They (Zach) went above and beyond making me feel welcome and getting me prepared for my early start the next day. They’ve got a really cool bar and restaurant with a billiards table! I wish I had more time to explore the bar and play some pool. Next time! Highly recommended! This is my first five star review on all three categories on this trip.

Stunning location overlooking a wide sandy beach, small river and Highland mountains. Hotel is tastefully decorated and our room was very comfortable. |All meals were well made, (with high quality local produce wherever possible) but it's worth noting that the hotel doesn't provide lunches.|The staff were all very professional and friendly - in fact it's very difficult to find fault with anything about the stay.|Maybe the hotel should make sure that the serving staff, (like Hindu gods), possess more than 1 pair of arms?|PS - EV drivers will be pleased to know that there are 2 high-speed chargers in the public car park directly across the road from the hotel.

We had the family room and it had extraordinary views! Very nice recently updated hotel room. They have a restaurant and pub. The manager was super nice and gave us a breakfast bag because we had to leave before breakfast hours. The pub is casual and you can get food there as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at this homely hotel in the north of Scotland.( It's on the NC500 route). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room clean and comfortable, the food was delicious and the view from the hotel is stunning. Would recommend.

My stay at the Bettyhill Hotel was delightful. The staff were welcoming and helpful and able to accommodate my sister and I arriving a little later than usual after a long day of driving. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a modern renovated bathroom. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious and filling with an amazing view of the North Scotland coast. Dramatic scenery, a comfortable environment, can't be beat! I would definitely come back here in the future!
