We had a great experience at City Betty for dinner. We tried to go for brunch but reservations fill out the place and it’s difficult for walk-ins. Dinner nonetheless was great - really homey tasting, good portions. Both the burger and pasta were great, and fairly priced. Plenty of parking on the Danforth. The place is a bit narrow but has many small and medium sized tables, with lots of natural light at the front. It’s very cutely decorated. Service was really nice and food came fast. It’s not anything super innovative, but a solid good meal!

Food was excellent. Cocktails were inventive and delicious. Service definitely not up to par. Especially the hostess/waitress. Made us feel like we were somehow imposing on her by coming in for dinner. Thankfully a very good meal overshadowed that.

Pretty incredible food! Creative, beautiful and oh so tasty. Really amazing service too! Top notch. I just walked by and walked in without really knowing what to expect and was really blown away. Recommend and will most definitely come back!

The atmosphere is bright and clean. The staff were all very welcoming and kind, especially considering we visited with a 4 year old. We went for brunch and found the dish choices to be unique and not the standard brunch fair. After choosing our food (pictured in this review) and tasting it all, I can tell you that all the flavours came together well and was delicious. I got the sense that a lot of care was put into these recipes. I definitely recommend this place as an interesting and decadent alternative to the regular greasy spoon brunch you can get elsewhere, and at reasonable prices to boot.

Very tasty food, small portion thou and very clean place, however the service is not the best ( I’m so disappointed) You must have reservation otherwise is really hard they take you just walk in, for example when we arrive the hostess mentioned it will be 15 minutes waiting and she told us we can wait outside, seriously?...at that time it was snowing! After that we took the table we were ready to order and she told us she can not take the order! What?...on the other hand, it takes time to get your dish after you order, we wait around 15 minutes. Good place, but the experience was not the best for brunch in the city.

We finally made it out to this restaurant with the family for breakfast. The food is good and the ingredients are fresh, local seasonal ingredients. The peach jelly I had with my pan cakes was super fresh and just sweet enough. Super friendly staff and owner, the atmosphere is good. I'm excited to have this addition to the neighbourhood.

OK, people. In tonight's Support The East End, hot tip!!! We checked out the brand new City Betty tonight, 1352 Danforth. It was only their 3rd service. The place was packed, and every minute or two, someone had to be turned away, because it is not huge. The chef is from Geraldine and Farmhouse Tavern. The owner is an East ender. GREAT food, reasonably priced for what you get, interesting wines, solid cocktails. No resis for under 6 people. So would advise you go early. GREAT addition to the East end! We had the Woodstock, NY as an appetizer, and then the Sugar Shack Burger and the Pasta Bolognese. My photos show the whole menu and the cocktail list. Also some good beers and wines.

Had an incredible Sunday brunch here with a friend. Service was above and beyond and the food was just as impressive. Great specials and very cool menu. I had the Big Sur— an open-faced omelette— and it was delicious. Great ambiance and very clean and bright. Can’t wait to come back!
