This beach used to be a favorite place to visit but this time I was sad to see lots of bits of plastic washed up.
The sand is easy to walk on and during the off season there aren’t a lot of people. One of the previous times we visited we found lots of agates but this time only found a couple. Of course there are beautiful sunsets.

I just have to share these pictures. I’ve never seen sand like this in my life, so beautiful! Sparkling black, green, red, and golden sand all together. I wish I knew more about geology because this area is very interesting. Great picnic areas and easy beach access. Wouldn’t recommend swimming at this beach, but that pretty much goes for most Oregon beaches. But what a beautiful little area!

We love camping here. There is easy beach access. They keep the bathrooms and shower clean. There is a separate day use bathroom area. Dog friendly.

You know just another mazing Oregon coast state park!
Huge beach area with the usual features like amazing views with the lighthouse in the backdrop but this place has something extra for those rockhounds & such. If you have a good eye you can find some really cool stuff up near the hillsides like fossil beds & I found some obsidian stone.
Of course you should go!

If you're looking for easy access to the beach this is the spot. Unlike many places along 101 that require a steep climb to reach the beach, this park has easy access. You're going to want to park in the day use which is located on the right hand side when you come into the park right before the campsites.
The video I posted shows the beach access.

One of the nicest beaches of the Oregon coast. Love coming to this place during summer. Very relaxing. Can also find fossils bearied within deep sedimentary rocks from our past.

I've stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed my stays. Right now OR State Parks are charging up to 30% more for out of state campers so it may be awhile before I come back. But that's not a reflection of the park itself. You're close to the ocean, Newport, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay and lots of ocean and whale watching vantage points. Bring your strong binocs! Wonderful tree roots all over the park. They're the root system left over from when new trees starting growing on stumps from logging. Eventually the stumps rotted away, but the roots are still there.

Someone was in an accessible site that I paid for. Camp host did nothing! Most likely a person on drugs. The door was wide open. Extremely angry as it caused other challenges. I do not recommend this campground managed by Connie!
