'Rage' review #1 of 2020 (took this long):
Similar to my feeling on the Beverly Center across the street, I came here more frequently when I first moved to the area and didn't know any better. Then I realized most of their stores have better locations so I decided to branch off to those instead. However, ever since Target opened, they tend to carry some things that my main one does not, so I suck it up and it helps they specifically validate parking for an hour.
As for parking otherwise, it should be an hour free. For those of you who complain about us complaining about paying a $1+, you obviously do not shop anywhere else in the city since they all let you do the one hour free. I'm usually in and out in about 25-30 minutes. Briefly a couple months ago, Target ended up being closed which pissed one off since there was no indication on the website or anywhere else letting shoppers know it would be closed down until you realize there is way too much parking available and it's a ghost town on that 3rd floor. I completely understand if they needed to be closed, but there was absolutely no notification of them being so. Then more recently, they did put up a printed out sign that Target was closed...YET IT WAS ON THE BOX WHERE YOU TAKE A TICKET SO YOU ARE SCREWED INTO STAYING AND PAYING ANYWAY. Who the F was the genius who thought this idea to put the sign THERE? And then most of the machines to pay are out of order anyway.
Can you tell I despise this place?
I also am not a fan of outlets (although I did have a good experience at Nordstrom Rack but I can go to Woodland Hills for this) so this doesn't really factor in. I do like Old Navy but this can be found at much better shopping centers, such as Century City or Sherman Oaks on Riverside. And I admit I have been to a Souplantation (not this one here, are they still around anyway?) and I didn't mind it, but again, there were other locations I could go to.
So TL;DR, these stores can be found elsewhere within town which eliminates the need to shop at this inconvenient hellspace.
P.S. I completely understand places were closed due to the riots that had occurred, however when I had visited, other shops were clearly open, yet there was no indication on other stores. Perhaps this is the store at fault and not Beverly Center itself, but I'm accumulating disappointing visits over the years here which still=one star.
