Stayed here overnight after flying in to Durban, before moving on with our tour. The staff were all really lovely and seemed genuinely surprised that we were only staying one night! |The hotel has a superb beachfront location, with direct access to the promenade from the swimming pool area. Our standard room had lovely sea views plus the lighthouse, and also the whalebone pier if we peered round the corner to our left.|The room itself was decent, if nowhere near as grand as the public areas. The bed was large but too hard for my back, and the pillows were too soft for both our tastes. The balcony was small but had enough room for two chairs and a tiny table. The bathroom was decent enough if slightly on the small side, but the shower was good. The towels were huge and very fluffy, and very unusually there were two large and one small each. It’s always nice to have a kettle for us Brits with our liking for tea! The room decor did look a bit tired, especially around the window.|Breakfast was excellent and I think even the fussiest would easily find something nice (although I don’t know about people with dietary needs such as gluten free). The kiwi jam was superb!|It was great to see water in glass bottles, but sadly there were small single use plastic bottles for toiletries. |I would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed at Beverly Hills many times. Service levels are outstanding. Staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome at any time.||F&B offering is excellent. Pool is lovely and the gentlemen serving the pool area are great! Rooms have the most amazing views but unfortunately that’s the only plus on the rooms. The room size is tiny! This is understandable given that this was the first 5 star built hotel in SA. While well appointed, the decor is outdated and shows signs of distress which is not a fair reflection on the rates charged. ||I heard they are planning a huge revamp and I hope that this actually happens because this location is the best in the area. The hotel does have potential to be an ultra lux 5 star property. ||We do and will continue to choose to return when there are good offers on rates because of the location, service, cleanliness and professional mannerisms of staff.

So I actually stayed here in 2023 and I was not disappointed! ||The hotel service was excellent and the beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious.|It’s in a safe location and close to the beach and the pier which I loved and my grandparents really enjoyed it. ||What’s nice is it’s also closer to the other beachfront hotels which some friends also were in. ||Overall it was a good experience!!

Popped in for memories sake! On our first date some 16 years ago we enjoyed a bottle of bubbly in exactly the same spot before our meal. The waiter was excellent, view was still amazing, but the bubbly a lot more pricey!

This is one hotel that specifically caters for is is dedicated to those who enjoy fine dining in life especially mouth watering & decadent deserts. I had the opportunity to eat a delicious chocolate brownie with honey combs and a generous scoop of pecan nut ice iceam drizzled and chocolate drizzle. This is idea for a Winter night craving & its a generous portion size too! The waitress was absolutely friendly and accommodating. She was efficient in her duties and she advised me on my order. I had an excellent dining experience and i would definitely be going back for that July lamb shank that's currently on a Monday promotion at the moment.. and she did highly recommend the steak as well. Sounded yum.

Rooms, decorations and ambiance of the hotel is fantastic. The breakfast was delicious but we had to wait long to order our coffee. What makes a 5 star hotel outstanding is the staff. Here I see room for improvement. e.g. during check out the guy got the invoice wrong twice. A colleague finally helped.

Attended an event, parking was very tight. Outside venue, extremely windy and cold. Waiter brought 1 drink and then couldn't be found. Tapas style menu, risotto rice was not cooked, the chicken and pork tasted the same to me. Vegetarian options lacked imagination. Happy I didn't pay to attend.

Had an amazing stay at the Beverly Hills. Truly exceptional staff and service, really felt like we were waited on hand and foot. A very special thank you to Zanele and everyone that assisted in making our engagement exceptional. Hoping to come back soon.
