BevMo!

My wife and I had like to come over here to gather different kind of root beer flavors in a bottle. I also come here for a nice dark lager beer used for my fish and chips recipe. There is plenty of parking here, and the store is usually not very crowded.

I stopped by BevMo to pick up a bottle of high-end whiskey for a special occasion. The staff was incredibly helpful in walking me through the options and recommending a great bottle within my budget. The quality was exceptional, and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the price was for such a premium product.

Huge place. Great selection. Every time I go the service is unusually good for a place like this. Very educated staff. They know their booze! I just expect better deals. Beer and wine is cheaper at Safeway / Lucky. I get it many more wine choices... But not THAT many more. And I'd expect to get a better deal on some kind of beer on sale. Even just one great special, but no. In the high end tequila and whisky its still cheaper at the grocery stores. Again, the selection in more impressive, and the service is very good.. but I was hoping for better prices.

They have almost every type of liquor I need, you can see online if they have it at the store.

Do you need to say more just go there? By however, you need to drink and you're done

I'm giving it 5 stars because of service and selection. I have visited the Colma store about 10 times. Each time the service is consistent. The employees are always willing to take the time to help answer questions. I have on more than one occasion stopped by for gifts and they took the time to help me find something appropriate for the occasion. The prices are appropriate. I will definitely keep coming back!!

Cashier had a bad attitude and scolded me in front of a line of customers. I went in to buy grenadine (non alcoholic) as I didn't know where else to buy some. I didn't know the policy of needing to be 21 to buy non-alcoholic products as there were kids running around and I wasn't doing anything illegal- honest mistake which resulted in me being snapped at by the cashier. When I asked where to find grenadine elsewhere she just repeated what she said, refusing to answer my question and snapping at me to leave. You can imagine how humiliating it is to be snapped at in front of a line of people for no real reason.

Such a great store, really nicely laid out and easy to find everything. Staff is really awesome Uriel and Jacob are great every time they help me. Convenient and nice experience

The place lacks sufficient staffing to handle its mine; some older bitter woman named Josephine insults her patrons in line, saying chili-dish one-liners and the supervisors seems too flustered to care about improving the operation. I do appreciate they will price match, but they seems irritated to do so.

This is such a refreshing BevMo!, compared to the ones in San Francisco. Large, very well organized, clean, and the staff are super attentive and helpful. Drove 30 minutes to come here, as we had a really poor experience at the one on Geary in SF. Worth it!

Visited BevMo to get a variety of craft beers for a small gathering. The staff was super knowledgeable and suggested several new brews I hadn't tried yet. The selection of local and international beers was vast, and the quality was fantastic. I also found some great discounts, making it an excellent value overall!

Booze Wars! No it is not an A&E series but the reality of the fight to sell you alcohol. We have Total wine, Target, Costco, mom and pop, Walmart, and a plethora of various and sundry retailers. BevMo holds their own. They have a very good selection of both wines, beers, and liqour. To survive and expand their are getting into food items ( frozen foods etc)...good luck with that as the margins are nil. This location is great as it is very large and there is tons of free parking.

Came in to look for RumChata. All these drink hacks that included RumChata, I just had to get my hands on it. I went through every aisle to find it & to see whatever tickles my fancy. Well I got the RumChata w/Pineapple Fanta. Also got some Crown Royal Peach. Ps- Try RumChata w/Pineapple Fanta / or w/Blueberry RedBull. (It's really good)

Employees in there were rude, asked few questions already got upset and didn't want to help. I went in and asked for certain items they're saying, "I don't know just go look around". I looked at their name tag one of them is a service lead and she doesn't know where the items are and how in the world I know. Same as the manager, other times I went in he was rude too and off topic talking bs. They're not professional at their job, I won't return to this store I'd rather recommend Total Wine and more cheaper price and better service attitude

This place has everything when it comes to liquor. What mostly saw was a lot of hard liquor. I really saw some discounts on most alcohol compared to a corner store liquor store in San Francisco. The wine selection was not as massive as I thought but they have lots to choose from and there is also a beer section.

When Google, Yelp and the BevMo website for this specific location ALL say the hours on Sundays are 9am opening, the customers are going to believe this. Well, guess what. They DO NOT open at 9am but 10am. I pulled into the lot around 9:30 to pick up my order to be told they have opened at 10am for the past 20 yrs & the fact every single piece of info everywhere is wrong just doesn't make a difference. Um, okay. I'm not going to sit in this lot for 30 min & I'm not going to make another trip down here......you can keep your cider & I'll keep my money. Okay? Okay!!

BOGO on some liquors and wines. Bummer they don't BOGO beer But I did find a generic amaretto that was BOGO so I'm happy. Pretty good stout and porter selection also.

I love Bevmo. I've filled carts full of bottles to celebrate happy events, sad events, and everyday life. I've ordered and picked up bottles, had bottles delivered to my office and/or home, and have spent hours in the store carefully - no, lovingly selecting bottles to bring home. From 18+ year scotch to crazy expensive brandies for my relatives, Bevmo has me covered. Huge bottles with built in handles of Tito's Vodka or Jamesons for my wildly popular and highly coveted invite monthly parties are a must here because ...sales! Everyday bottles of new or old world wines can easily be found here. I buy here when my wine membership from the vineyards are all gone. Yes, I have wine with family dinner few times a week. I like to buy beer here ESP Lambic, Sours, and Guinness - but we won't get into that or this review will be too long. I haven't rented a keg here in a long time. 2018 goal for sure. I think I can still do a keg stand. I'm dead serious. Bevmo never judges me when I pick up a bottle of 21 year old scotch, random cheeses, meats, crackers, olives, and nuts at the end of my workday. Sometimes I can even snag an older one if I do some online sleuthing. When I drink - I make every sip count. I love Bevmo so much it gets to be my last review for 2017.

Today I visited the BevMo and purchased a bottle of the Ole Smokey Moonshine Hunch Punch Lightnin' flavor. Upon opening the bottle and trying it when I got home, I had to spit it out immediately as it was a foul taste and not at all what it was suppose to taste like. I immediately brought it back to the same store to advise that the bottle had a foul taste and was bad. However, I was advice by "Rauren" that since the bottle was open, she could not take it back and to come back when the manager is there. WOW, really?! I thought they would want to know if there was a problem with one of their products. When I mentioned to Rauren that she may want to remove the item from the shelves to at least prevent further issues with others, she just walked away without responding. No acknowledgement, no "I will look into it", nothing. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and concern here, will definitely be sharing this experience with others to beware of buying from them.

celina was exceptional from start to finish. as i entered the store, she addressed me w/ a smile on her face & in her voice. so rare these days. she checked me out & continued to effortlessly provide the kind of service you wish you could have all the time. as i left, she provided the next customer the same kindness. celina is an asset to any company she works for. hope bev mo acknowledges her great customer service.

Went in to get a bottle of wine and was happy to see their 2nd bottle for .05. What a JOKE. Every bottle that they have on the special is double the price. All you need is a decent wine app to prove it.

The people here are gravy and so soul with it. They create an exciting environment and make you feel all open arms to welcome you. It's a warm feeling I get with these people. They're good work ethics put your mind to the test, they motivate you, and they support your point of views. They are like a small family. Not to me, but to the general public. They are cool peeps

My local and favorite Bevmo. Very friendly staff, always greeting me when I enter. I come here at least a couple times a week. The store is clean and the selection is great. They always have time to give me great recommendations on what I should buy.

Wide open space! You're in the suburbs now. Everything was tidy, dust-free and they had plenty of displays to satisfy their vendors and tempt you to try something new. That's great but on some of these product islands (not all) there was no pricing information which was annoying. I also couldn't find anyone to ask a question: I gave up after asking two customers if they worked there and that made me feel foolish. So, I chose two different varieties of red and had the cashier scan both bottles so I could make a decision. Then had to go back and pick a second bottle since both were buy one, second $0.05 sale. The highlight of this store was the cashier who was pleasantly efficient. I wished I'd gotten her name. She made me feel good about shopping there. The store has a good selection of wines and spirits and is in a shopping center with plentiful, free parking.

Had the worst customer service experience all around. I know it's a bit hectic these days with this Shelter In Place, but I ordered 12 bottles of wine online to pick up at the Colma location. The price changed when my order was ready to be picked up. I called the store to have them correct this and spoke with an incompetent sales clerk there. He tried to pawn me off to the customer service number which was not accepting any calls due to "high volume of calls" so I called back and the same sales clerk answered and he asked for my name, number, and order number which I supplied to him and he said he would call me back. I never received any call back from him or status of my order which was ready to be picked up. I called back a couple of hours later and all I got was a busy answer. I called back several times back through out the day and seems like the store purposely put the phone off the hook so they would not have to deal with answering the phone. This was so frustrating. So, I called back the following morning and spoke to the store manager Phil. He was very rude I told him about my issue and he mentioned it was happening to other customers as well. I also asked him why I wasn't contacted back yesterday when his sales clerk said he would call me back. His apology was not sympathetic at all after I said I wasted my day by the phone trying to find out the status of my order that's when he rudely interrupted me and said "I said I was sorry what else do you want from me!" He was raising his voice and threatening to hang up on me. I just wanted to vent and he was just being rude and short tempered. I tried to ask him again and he said "you're saying the same thing over and over again" and threatening to hang up on me which he did. I called back this time very upset, I did tell him he was very unprofessional and ask to speak with his boss he was just yelling back at me and he hung up in my face again. I called back to ask him for his boss's name and contact number and he hung up the phone again. I tried to call back to get corporate contact number but he left the phone off the hook like they did the other day. That's when I called the San Bruno location and spoke with the manager there to have them contact the rude manager at Colma "Phil" and to either transfer my order to the San Bruno location or cancel it. I also got the information to the corporate office to complain about "Phil" I left a message for Matt Navarro his supervisor but I have yet to receive a call back about my complaint on "Phil". I did have to go back online and re-order everything again for the San Bruno location. The order was ready to pick up in less than an hour and the charge amount was correct. It was much better service at the San Bruno location than it was at Colma. This would be the last time I give Bevmo my business because of this one unprofessional manager "Phil" at the Colma location. I will taking my business to Total Wine & More from now on to get my wine. Former Bevmo Customer

House of Spirits. Very appropriate since this place is surrounded by cemeteries. Heck, in the city of Colma, there are more dead people than the living. That's a fact, Jack. Ohh...my bad, I'm referring to another kind of spirits. This used to be a movie theatre so it's a pretty good, decent size for a BevMo. How can you go wrong with all kinds of liquor and beer in one place? So after buying some Sake for me and some sweet wine for the wifey, we signed up for their BevMo club card. I guess it's time to put it to good use and start accumulating the reward points.

Dropped on in today for some hard cider and ended up leaving with a case of sour beers and the official Australian beer Coopers. On top of todays buys i wound up taking advantage of the buy on get another bottle for .05 cents. Friendly staff and Jaime helped me out without hesitation on guiding me to a Cab Sauv to try out.

I don't know anything about wine... Maybe just the difference between white and red, that I don't like wine with a lot of tannins, and that Sancerre is my favorite wine from France. Okay, wait, maybe I know a LITTLE bit about wine. ANYWAY, what I do know is there are a ton of great California wines out there, and this location has an amazing selection of them. To make the experience even better, parking is free and plentiful, and if you order in advance, you can pick up your bottle CHILLED. Am I just easy to please or is that the *coolest* thing? lol

About a year ago I called this location to see if they had an item in stock. Whoever answered the phone literally started yelling at me that they didn't have it. I was quite taken aback and contacted BevMo headquarters by email to discuss what happened. After several emails, I finally heard from a regional manager to talk about what happened. The manager asked me to give the store "another chance," which I reluctantly agreed to. And things seemed OK for awhile when I went in there. However, about a week or so ago I was in the store and bought 15 bottles of an item. The cashier was venting about an underage customer trying to buy alcohol. I started to say something and quickly realized the cashier (older Filipino guy) was ignoring me. He barely said a word to me during the transaction, handed me the receipt and went off to do something else. He didn't even bother to ask if I wanted a box for the bottles (I did!). I had to find one myself and put the bottles in it. About fifteen minutes later I realized the cashier was the same guy who yelled at me over the phone a year before! Apparently no one bothered to talk with him about what happened previously and he does whatever he wants. I was looking at other reviews (one from three years ago) that also complain about this guy. Clearly the store doesn't care if customers go elsewhere. So hey BevMo, I gave you guys "another chance" and the same guy was rude to me again. I won't be coming back here.

I'm very upset because I purchased a $300+ bottle of Insignia (red wine) from them in February and had it in my wine fridge up until this past weekend, deciding to open it over the long weekend. I brought it to a wine dinner, with people who are in the wine industry, and immediately everyone knew it was corked and told me to save the bottle and take it back to where I purchased it and they should honor an exchange for the same bottle, as unfortunately this is something that happens from time to time. I went into this BevMo the very next day, no one there even knew what a corked wine was and told me to come back Tuesday (today) when there manager was back from vacation. So I did as they asked and came back today and even he didn't seem to understand what a corked wine was--I'm sorry but if you work in an industry that sells wines you need to understand this. Regardless, he said that he couldn't exchange it because I purchased it over 30 days ago. So, if you're like me, and like to collect wine and not open it the second you buy it, then I would not suggest buying any nice, pricey wines here just in case it happens to be corked, because they won't understand the issue and they will not honor an exchange. In my case, it's a napa wine so I am going to try going directly to the winery as this is too much money to just throw out, but if this was an international wine I would really be screwed.

My bf's dad is a man of few words. Our conversations are usually brief and to the point. I do know that he likes to watch football, he can keep his pokerface on at the Casino for 3 hours straight (and often wins too) and he needs a good amount of alcohol for him to start talking. In paragraphs. The bf spied a Johnnie Walker Red in his parent's pantry and declared it unacceptable for their upcoming Christmas dinner. Since we were in the area, we decided to check out Bev Mo's selection. A much prized Johnnie Walker Blue label was on sale for $180 (originally $205) and the Gold label was a steal at $69. I also scored on a Pinot Noir Bourgogne Rouge for only $18! a nice alternative if you're tired of pinots from Sonoma's Russian River valley. Don't be tempted into buying their $4 wine gift bags. It's half price at Target which is walking distance from here. I'm psyched to see his face when he sees the Johnnie Walker Gold that we got for him. I'm sure his reaction won't be anything less than.... golden.

Terrible customer service, cashier was so rude, my card didn't go through and I said I'm going to pay with a different one and he said he would not sell it to me, I didn't understand why but i just left and went to buy it somewhere else, I'm never coming back. If they don't want to sell maybe they shouldn't be selling.

Colma is the City of the Dead, known for all of the cemeteries. I am loving this BevMo. This location consistently has the best stock. They have great gift versions of top shelf liquor and novelty items. I saw a silver Jaegermeister gift I might purchase. They also sell Cuatros Coppas the only organic tequila on the market. This large store used to be the old multi screen movie theater "Serramonte 6" I purchased my "Obama Beer". This is the first store that I have seen it for sale. They have a great list of upcoming in store events also.

BewMo! has a lot of spirits to offer, for a price...i now just go for the specials wherever i find them. no brand loyallty. just show me the cheap(er) booze! brew: "green flash" west coast ipa(5.49) 8.1% -smooth brew with 4 different hops. very smooth, no hoppiness tasted -buzz felt later. 3.5 stars

So I'm having a Halloween party and I need alcohol! Gotta keep my guests happy! I love that bevmo has pretty much everything you need to make any mix drink you can think of. I have a bar at home. And I also made a drink menu of about 20 mixed drinks to go with my bar. So finding all the bottles of alcohol could be a hassle if not for bevmo. Vodka, Vanilla vodka, blood orange vodka, frangelico, grenadine, peach schnapps, don Julio tequila, patron, triple sec, Malibu rum, capt'n Morgan spiced rum, kahlua, bailys Irish cream, margarita, crown royal, Heineken, Stella, bud light, blue moon, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, sprite, coke, 7-up. That's what I need for my bar for my mixed drinks plus beer. Bevmo had it all. So again made for some easy shopping. Everything is easy to find. All the alcohol is separated in categories, so I was pretty much in and out.

Since I have now converted my schedule to include a weekly brunch called Mimosa Sundays, we had to come to Bev' Mo for our Champagne needs. Depending on the specials we can opt for a few bottles of bubbly or a large magnum of the good stuff for a great deal. There were quite a few mimosas to be had, which is quite relaxing and fun on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

This location is big for a BevMo. They carry a decent variety of wines, beers, liquors and sodas. Like any other BevMo's, they also carry a good amount of serving products and foods that goes with alcohols. The prices are generally higher than grocery stores, and even on par with liquor stores. But, the bright and clean interior along with having everything needed in one place makes it a one-stop shop's visit. The friendly staff helps too. I'm writing this review only because I'm $20 away from getting a 5% savings reward, when cumulative spending reaches $250 (doesn't include tax though). Was surprise this promotion was still in effect. Also, sign up at their website (www.bevmo.com) and get 5% off the first online purchase. Do a pick-up in the store to save on the shipping. Oh, $19.49 for a 375-ml bottle of Hennessy. Milestone: the 400th "Funny" vote's review...

I wish there were BevMo locations in Hawaii! I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm visiting friends in So. San Francisco for the great deals and big selection they have on spirits. I normally get just 1 or maybe 2 bottles of something that is about 1/3 less the cost than if I bought it in Hawaii. This last time it was just a bottle of Galliano and a bottle of Gosling's rum. Can never really get too much since it'll push my luggage over the 50# airline weight limit (my bags are already stuffed with Trader Joe's stuff!) But...the things I always HAVE to get are the little shot-sized bottles of alcohol. Some may not know but you can bring those onto the plane in your carry-on bag since it's under the 3.4 oz. liquid limit. I usually carry 2 of the small bottles on board and have them with some soda once we take off. That and popping a Lunesta really makes for a shorter flight. :) *Just make sure you have the bottles sealed in a quart sized ziploc type bag.

We used BevMo in Colma for both our kids' weddings (Oct. 2018 and Feb. 2019). Phil, the manager and his staff were really helpful. Rather than seeing dollar signs, they made suggestions for better taking alcohol that actually saved us money by choosing item that were part of the 5 cent sale. They even suggested getting some of the mixers at others stores to save money. Not only did they save us money, they also helped to decide how much wine, champagne, beer and hard alcohol to order based on the number of guests and how many would drink beer compared to the other alcohol. I usually shop at this store for normal small amounts and never thought to use them for a wedding. Both deliveries went smoothly and helped make the wedding celebrations positive. BevMo is a great store for anything alcohol! The only reason why I'm writing this review is because one of the employees, Employee name: Isaiah, did a terrible job in handling my return and as a customer you should feel like you were helped at all cost. It was a simple return that could've easily been dealt with, but was given the dumbest excuses. I actually had to wait for the store manager to help me with this. Isaiah, work on your customer service skills because you greatly lack in them! Thank you Phil, store manager, for helping me with my return! You showed excellent customer service!

Very convenient location as I can get my shopping at Target and BevMo done all at once! I always come by during their $0.05 wine sales and whenever they send me a $10 off coupon. Last time, I got six bottles of wine for less than $50. Score for this wine addict! Make sure to to sign up for their reward program as you'll get a 5% savings award after spending $250. Plus, they send you random coupons every once in a while. I think I got mine because it had been a while since I shopped at BevMo. Good selection and this location is a decent size. Nothing like getting my alcohol needs and household shopping done (Target) in the same plaza!

I love BevMo! This one happens to be my favorite location, not because it is conveniently located to where I live, but because the staff here is so friendly and helpful. A few months ago (before I had an experience with wine) I went here to find my boyfriend's mom the perfect bottle of wine for her birthday. My friend and I were clueless as we strolled through the aisles trying to decipher what the descriptions really meant. BUT THEN...someone could see the distress in our eyes and came to our rescue. Who was this kind, gentle soul? DAVE- wine extraordinaire! Dave was the most helpful individual I have met. He definitely provided exemplary customer service and he was very knowledgeable on wine. He even helped me pair it with the perfect cheese. Thanks Dave =)!

If you want so drinks then this is the place to get them!! Pick your poison! They have whiskey, vodka, rum, and cognac just to name a few. So come on down and grab few. There is wine as well which seems quite swell but do not forget to grab 2 because that will be a deal. What a great place to grab a six pack if you got a hot date you are set for a night cap. Kegs and beers are ways to celebrate the year but don't forget that champagne is just a new so remember to check here. So what the heck are you waiting for other than getting your drinks and then coming back for more. Whatever the occasion they will have it so remember moderate and don't make it a habit. The TOY R US of spirits, that I agree. But, this has got nothing on a man like me. I grab my rum and grab my whiskey because once I leave I know they will miss me. But, enough about me lets get back to BEVMO once I get my 2 bottle then I have to let go. Let go of money and head on home because once I get seated I hit the bottle and take it straight to the DOME!!! HOLLA!!! Bevmo is cool. Just check it out. Wine or spirits they can meet all your party and event needs. They get the job done. I am still trying to get a Keg from them at some point. Once you checkout go home and pass out! #quadshotplease

This rating is more about a policy than about their merchandise. Went into their Issaquah location today, nice store, friendly people, but here's the rub. Whereas most merchants in Wa state check your ID regardless of your age, BevMo takes a picture of your drivers license. I objected to them making a record of more information than my date of birth, and I was told "all retailers require this", and if I didn't allow a copy of my drivers license, I could not purchase alcohol from their store. No other retailer has this policy that I do business with, Costco, QFC, etc, so out of curiosity, I called the Sate Liquor Board, who confirmed there is no such policy (making a digital copy of a drivers license), but if a merchant wants to do that, i.e. more stringent requirements than those required by the state, they are free to do so. Fair enough, but for me, them requiring more of my personal info than the law requires is an intrusion I am unwilling to accept.

I have shopped alot at the Taget Store many times in Colma but never went to Beverages & More until today on a afternoon... This is the very first time for me that... I have been inside at this Beverages & More Liquor Store in Colma... When, I went inside... I was amazed on how much Liquor that this Bev & Mo had from Champagne, Wine, Beer, Rum, Tequilia, Vodka, and many many more... Not only do they sell Liquor they also sell food as well... The food items that they have are cheese, Salame, crackers... They also have German style beer mugs they are really big and huge!!! This is a really neat Liquor Store for all those people out there... Who really likes to drink acholic stuff but not me... I only drink that kind of stuff only at parties or when, I go out and eat at restaurant which is not all the time...

Great selection of alcohol and alcohol related products but the prices are well above what you would pay at a grocery store or somewhere else. You pay for the convenience of getting basically any type of mixing materials you will need to bring the inner bartender in you. You need to sign up for a bevmo card to get take advantage of their specials. Also one time here I bought some tsingtao beer but the price in the fridge did not match what scanned. I asked for a price check and they said the scanned price was correct. After my purchase I just checked to make sure I was not seeing things and sure enough the price was listed lower. However the difference was 75 cents so I did not want to waste my energy. I'll only come here if my friends drive me here as Id rather go to a grocery store or a mom and pop liquor store for my alcohol related purchase needs.

Once in a while they have sales on some wines and other drinks....buy one and get second for .05 cent for certain wine which they had today. Once the buy one get second one for .05 cent, it goes back to normal price but if you have clubbev card membership, you can get some discounts on most of the wines and other drinks you want to get from. If you don't, you pay full price. This place, Clean, spacious, and theres a parking lot (usually pack since it's a plaza which have others stores and restaurants). Have a lot section of wines, beer, hard liquor, cocktail, champagne, non alcoholic drinks, and food/snacks. Came on the day where they have wine tasting on few bottles of wine for $2 but you can try as many as you want. So this place is a good place to go if you're a wine drinker or buy any other drinks and items if you're having a party

Super professional, even under the stress of lockdown policies regarding the coronavirus. They could have easily had an attitude towards customers but instead were doing the best they can under the circumstances

I could not have had a better experience at BevMo Colma yesterday. Due to Covid, our annual Christmas party could not be held in person this year. However, we decided to create a Virtual Cocktail party for our team. I put together baskets with engraved shakers and all the bar tools, but the true gift was the high-end spirits for sipping and mixing. I love cocktails, but I don't know a ton about spirits. I was wandering around with a cocktail book in hand and was desperately googling ratings. A nice employee came up to me and tried to help, but he didn't have quite the expertise I needed. Fortunately, the manager, Phil, saw our interaction and took over. I told him my plan and showed him the cocktail list. He immediately showed me the best products in my budget and helped me pair the spirits with tonics, bitter, and mixers. If he hadn't have stepped in when he did, this errand would have taken hours to complete! I'm so grateful for the excellent service at this store. I read some of the negative reviews, and frankly, they say more about the bad behavior of the patron than the store employees. I will always return to this store when I need to stock up again! Everytime I go into Bevmo the workers are very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! Not to mention it is a very comfortable atmosphere. I could easily spend hours in there. They always steer me in the correct direction of any questions I have about wine! Biggest selection in the area.

I come here all the time, and I usually don't yelp anything overly negative unless it really calls for it. This is one of those times. This just happened an hour ago around 2:30pm. So I went to go buy a Macallan 15 and use my 5% coupon reward that was just sent to me yesterday. The coupon did not go through, so the cashier called the manager Marianne (sp?) at that time to try to resolve the issue. After waiting for about 5 minutes, she finally shows up at the register. She then tries to use the coupon again but doesn't succeed and says that it doesn't work because the coupon has already been used. I am quite puzzled, as it was just sent to me yesterday via e-mail and here I am today to use it. So she says she will go call customer service to see what's up. She comes back 5 minutes later, unable to get ahold of the customer service, and keeps insisting that I have already used this coupon. So I asked her if she could just override the system and give me the discount, as it's really only $5. Other managers I've dealt with there have done it before for my $10 off $50 coupon that somehow did not go through. Here's the kicker, though. She then proceeds to interpret what I told her as me knowing how to game the system (like I had really used the coupon before and am trying to use it again). Hello, it's only a 5% coupon. Why wouldn't I do it for $15 off $100 or something more if I really wanted to "game the system"? And can't she look into my account to see what and when I last bought and for how much, if she really thinks I'm reusing the coupon? Is it really worth it to fight me over just $5 discount when I'm buying a $100 bottle of alcohol? What about my future purchases from this store, which might not happen anymore due to this bad experience? It's just stupid. Then I proceeded to tell her that she shouldn't accuse customers of doing something if she doesn't really have concrete evidence to back it up. I said I'm going to yelp this, and she dares me to go ahead, and so here I am letting the world know how awful her customer service is that might potentially turn away loyal customers from buying there in the future. I just hope she gets retrained in customer service. You should give the benefit of the doubt to the customer, especially if you don't have concrete evidence to back up your accusations. Or perhaps she should find another line of employment, as retail customer service is definitely not her forte.

Let's face facts: lawyers drink. A lot. And I'm a really great lawyer. So that means I need to drink even more. Vodka (Kettle), rum (Orinoco and Pyrat), bourbon (Blanton's), scotch (Glen Rothes), tequila (1800): sounds like a weekend to me. BevMo keeps my bar (the coolest piece of furniture I own: an intricately-carved wooden radio cabinet from the 1920s, with the radio removed) well-stocked, at pretty reasonable prices. I know it seems odd that a Mission-dweller like me would go all the way to Colma to shop at BevMo, but I got one word for ya: Target, biatches! I just can't seem to go more than 2 weeks without it. Plus, the big parking lot shared by BevMo and Target gives me the chance to express my inner suburbanite: I park near Target, shop, pack my shit in the trunk, then drive over to the BevMo side of the parking lot, and park all over again. It's like I'm living in LA! My one suggestion for BevMo is to stop putting up ratings for wine given by Wilfred Wong. Listen, there are only two wine scores anyone cares about (to the extent that anyone cares about scores at all): Robert Parker from Advocate, and James Laube from Spectator. Every time I read a score for a wine, and it's Wong's score, I just skip it. Sure sign that both Parker and Laube passed. When I'm buying wine in a store, without a chance to taste it before hand, I'm not going out on any limbs. Oh, and it would sure be nice if you folks would install a bathroom. That would keep me from having to use the Target bathrooms. *shudder*

BevMo...it's like Target...but for alcoholics! I'm not an alcoholic, I just drink a lot... And, when you need to find everything to supply your next booze fest, this is the place to go! They even have shopping carts for you to load up your cases of wine, gallons of vodka and jugs of mixes. They also have cheese, crackers, snacks, and for the bourjois lot, cigars and caviar.

I was not Impressed with my last visit to this store. When I reached the cash register with about $100 worth of booze I found the cashier and another employee engrossed in a non work related conversation about how many countries they've been to in Europe. Not a word was spoken to me during the entire transaction. Very unprofessional

Ok, I'm going to a housewarming party. Alcohol has been requested by the hosts to bring. What the hell am I going to bring? I could stop by a 7-11 or liquor store but the selections can be limited. I know, let's visit and see what BevMo has to offer. Perusing up and down the aisles, I found out BevMo has a wide variety of beers, wines, and spirits for all your inebriated and potential embarrassment needs. They also have a small selection of snacks and candies on hand in case the munchies hit you while you're in between drinks. The plan was to get a bottle of Goose but that was immediately diverted since I found out there was more than enough vodka there. My attention then turned to the rum aisle and that is where I saw what would be the star of the party. A 750 ml bottle of Bacardi 151 ($23), which can also double as fuel for your car's combustion engine. It's safe to say a little bit of 151 mixed with some Red Bull makes for fun and memorable times.

So it's xmas eve, and they're understaffed at the checkstand. Not trying to hold the line up, after I couldn't figure out what my Club Card number was, I said forget it and was trying to go ahead with paying the non-member price. Adam, the checker insisted that I don't mind the line behind me and sign up again to get my deal. For someone working on a holiday and faced with a long line of impatient alcoholics he showed poise and professionalism, enough for me to want to write this review for him. Bevmo, pay this man more because his customer service skills are very well noted. He also works at the San Bruno Bevmo. Please give him a raise, thank you.
