Great sandwiches. I had Annie's Addiction, a delicious vegan option. Soft fresh bread with a healthy amount of fresh veggies. I ate there 3 times and had the same thing with a side salad. The side salad is a good mix of greens and additional veggies. There are other vegan options, but I liked this so much, it became my go to. If I lived in the area, I'd try other menu items. They also sell beer and wine. Highly recommend.

Google
LOVE this place. Service is always spectacular AND the food and pastries are fresh and just perfect. Every worker that I’ve interacted with has been such a sweetheart. My favs are: - fruit tart - chicken salad w/ EXTRA dressing - and the Mac and cheese

Google
I had the best Grinder sandwich at Beyond Bread! The soup and the pasta salad was also delicious. The dining room and bathrooms were also very clean. I will definitely return when in Touson.

This bakery is a local gem! Lots of freshly baked pastries and food options. Too many good options to choose from. Lots of seats and tables for people to gather or work quiet while enjoying some coffee and pastries. I got a slice of carrot cake and it's the best carrot cake I've had. Frosting was spot on, not too sweet. Carrot cake itself was moist and had large crumb and lots of filling. Would def order this everytime I come.

Google
Their bread is so good, especially with butter! Love that with each holiday, they usually have some type of holiday pastry to go along with it and/or some type of special bread. The sandwiches are delicious. My favorite for almost 2 decades is Maddie's madness, which I've had since I was in high school. All their dessert are good but I think their breakfast pastries are top tier. Their caramal nut pastry is my favorite, but their sticky bun is really good too.

Google

Google
Picked up an order to go - tried the Bernie's Bacon, Avocado Toast, White Chocolate and Cranberry Scone, Magic Bar, and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I enjoyed the food, but I think we would order different things next time. We both agreed that the toasted bread was the best part. The crust was thick and tasted great. The egg sandwich tasted a little plain and the tomato didn't add to it the way I thought it would. Avocado toast was packaged well and came with a salad, but I wasn't impressed - that might be on me for confusing burrata and bruschetta. Baked goods felt reasonably priced, scone and magic bar I would get again. I think our hope is next time we can ask for them to be warmed. They have a lot of light options, definitely more we want to try from the menu, and next time we're gonna get a loaf of bread to try.

Google
Plenty of seating Healthy options Delicious desserts, especially their fruit tarts LOCAL!! The only issue we've had is the sandwiches can be difficult to eat due to being double layered and the bread crust being hard. So I typically just get their soup/salad:) Love this place ♥️

Yelp
We stopped in after hitting the local farmers markets for lunch. What an excellent fine. The vibe and staff were just perfect for a Sunday. The sandwiches were out of this world. Fresh, tasty with exceptional presentation. Sorry for no pics. We wish we had one of these restaurants back in Idaho. If it cools down, we'll be back to try the soup. Just a top notch experience overall. Cheers!

Yelp
Wow! I was completely blown away!!!! I came here on a whim wanting their holiday specialty bread. It's a super soft spiced loaf with cranberries, walnuts and pumpkin seeds . I had it at a fundraiser and it was AWESOME. They have it as a muffin so I grabbed one $2.75. I saw they had a special today (Wednesday) Pete's pepperoni which was pepperoni, provolone, garlic mayo, roasted red peppers on pretzel bread. It came with a side all for $12. I knew it would be heavy but figured why not since it was my only meal of the day. BOY OH BOY this monstrosity was absolutely mind blowing. Everything was perfect. The perfect amount of pepperoni, the delicious soft toasted pretzel bread...the high quality provolone..and that garlic mayo was INSANE. I came here years ago and was disappointed so this is quite the redemption arc. This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It was like eating a hot grinder pepperoni pretzel pizza. It's even big enough to share and I didn't need the side (I chose baby carrots) My cashier was Freddy who was very kind and patient answering all of my questions. Great customer service!!! No pic but next time. I will be thinking about this sandwich for a very long time.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches... Great bread... Imaginative variety... Wish they had a drive-through! And sometimes slow service but happy servers and the food is delicious.

Jodi H.

Yelp
Just not as impressed as I would like to be. Expensive, reduced portions of the substantial ingredients and no more bread samples. My salad was too expensive for dry lettuce and a few slivers of cucumber & a cold piece of bread on the side. My girlfriend had a decent sandwich; but overall $40 is a bit too expensive for blah food.

RH H.

Yelp
The manager reached out to me and made it right. Very impressed by the good customer service. Have gotten sandwiches that were very good, like Ruben on pretzel bread. The desserts are very good.

Bianca A.

Yelp
An absolute Tucson staple! These sandwiches are filling and delicious with fresh ingredients! The bread options are definitely a standout (the jalapeño especially). The quality of these sandwiches has been super consistent over the years and everything always tastes freshly made and carefully crafted. It's usually pretty busy around lunch time but plenty of seating both inside and outside! So glad they have a misting system outside to help beat the heat. Overall, a great stop for a satisfying lunch!

Katie G.

Yelp
I love the variety of sandwiches that Beyond Bread has to offer. There really is a sandwich for everyone. A personal favorite is the mollys crisis. You also can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwiches! Anytime we go the service has been wonderful and quick. The restaurant takes pride in their cleanliness and speed. Even when they are busy the wait is never ridiculous.

Paige T.

Yelp
I am so impressed with this place. They offer so much variety, fresh-baked bread, and the friendliest service. I was caught off guard by the enormous size of my sandwich (Avi's Avo) and ended up eating half of it for another meal, so order accordingly. The patio was such a low-key place to eat and hang out, and I loved the mango cardamom drink. The staff were constantly wiping down tables, sweeping, and helping customers, and just had a great positive vibe. The to-go station to wrap up your inevitable leftovers was so appreciated. Will absolutely return whenever I'm in Tucson again!

Nate L.

Yelp
We have been frequenting this establishment for years, and we love Beyond Bread. We always wish they would expand into Chicago because the food is far superior to Panera. You come in, look at the extensive menu, order at the counter, and find an open table. The food will be brought to you quickly when the food is ready. We love the half sandwich and soup option with our favorite sandwich Kalids Curry pita. The curry is made with chicken, almonds, and raisins and is sweet and savory. This place has so many choices for sandwiches and sides, it is well worth a visit!

Danny C.

Yelp
Excellent food, fast service and the establishment is a great place to meet for lunch. The ambiance is very pleasing and you can enjoy your meal inside or out. We love this place. We have order take out many times and it was prepared as ordered and tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Doug B.

Yelp
We have been coming here for years -- since they first opened, in fact. While I feel that the pastries were better "back in the day," they're still good (the old "cheese pockets" were better than the reimagined "cheese crowns," in my opinion. I also like their coffee and the sandwiches are big. What keeps us coming back, however, is their ciabatta. It is fantastic. We buy a loaf and freeze half while we finish the first half within a few days or a week. (I like most of their breads, but this one is exceptional!) It has a thick crust and a tender center that is perfect, sliced and fresh out of a toaster with a little butter on it. You can really enjoy the crunch of the toasted crust and flavor of the dough. I haven't eaten in the restaurant for several years, but they donated lunches to a volunteer activity I participated in and those sandwiches hit the spot. (Thanks BB for supporting the community!)

Jim P.

Yelp
I stopped buying bread here because there are no labels showing what it is made from, and I dont like sugar in my bread. Also nothing has dates showing how old it is. Some the deserts I bough were stale, obviously from days before. Dont really see the point of long drive any more

Tom S.

Yelp
This is a decent place to have a sandwich. My first visit to this chain. I had a chicken sandwich on the multigrain bread. Overall, a pretty decent sandwich, but the bacon was way over cooked for my tastes. The bread was ok, but the ends were very tough. My MIL had a 1/2 sandwich and soup. The soup was a lemon chicken thing, not to our tastes. Her sandwich was so tall, that it was impossible to take a bite. The cookies were good. You can buy loaves of bread and have them sliced. Service was fairly quick. A bit loud in there. While I don't have this chain where I live, I'd go back and try something else for sure and I love bread, so I'm sure I'd buy some to take home.

Vivian T.

Yelp
This restaurant is consistently delicious. The French toast is so good. The ambience is very inviting and relaxing. Definitely a place to check out.

Marshall G.

Yelp
We came to have a quick bite on the way to the u of a game. We had a couple sandwiche and bag chips. The Rueben was good but smaller than I remember. Smaller bread size and less meat. It used to be too big to eat and abundant with meat. I might try an alternate next time. And the wait time was getting very long. I almost went to ask if Ours was imminent. I ve decided to come again but I ll make a future decision then. Update: The manager response to Yelp review in a hour. I raise one star for follow up and an explanation ..

Alexiz A.

Yelp
I love doing beyond bread for lunch, always! hands down. It's affordable, has soooo many options, and they are quick and spacious too! They are located in great parts of town and it's just a must have tucson staple! My favorite sandwiches are the mamas market or the rueben. Favorite Salad is the Larry curry more or the peace of the middle east. And I always get the tomato basil when I go half and half with a sandwich. There is honestly something for everyone and don't even get me started on desserts! The fruit tart is and will always be my favorite. The staff is so nice too they are always busy but manage to get orders out very quickly.

James B.

Yelp
I had an early lunch here this morning with a large Meetup group. I ordered a large gazpacho ($7.50), a large iced mocha ($5.75), a slice of banana bread ($2.50), and a Swiss cheese and scallion quiche ($6.00). The quiche was very eggy and delicious. I didn't care much for the gazpacho--maybe too tomatoey. The banana bread was OK. The iced mocha was fairly tasteless. All in all, the meal was mediocre, with the quiche being the standout. (I had originally ordered the bacon and cheddar quiche, but someone beat me to the last one.) You order at the counter, but they bring the food to you.

Yelp
I'm a newbie to Tucson, so this was my first visit to a Beyond Bread. I was blown away! The menu has every type of sandwich you can dream up. The sandwiches come with sides and you can pay extra for a tasty, premium side too. The kids menu is small but perfect. When my kid didn't eat all his Mac n cheese and cheesy bread, I happily finished it and enjoyed every bite. This is a place I could see me falling in love with multiple sandwiches. Another cool thing was on a Friday afternoon quite a few people were in there with their laptops finishing up some work after lunch. What a great idea for an afternoon work lunch especially if the place isn't busy (it wasn't, it was after the lunch time rush).

Arlen K.

Yelp
Never disappointing, always tasty & interesting. Salads, sandwiches, Barrio Blonde, and cookies. What's not to enjoy? Portions are too large for me, but others devour them. I've been there about half a dozen times, gotten something different every time, and liked it all, so while I have no specific recommendations, I totally recommend Beyond Bread. I've been to two of their locations, so ditto.

Rose S.

Yelp
It's not on the menu; however, if you ask, they will make you a grilled cheese sandwich on white bread with cheddar cheese and brie. With a side of tomato soup, it's a winner. Their hot roast beef sandwich is also great. I found staff to be super helpful by doing their utmost to match their customers requests. The restaurant is nicely appointed, roomy inside and clean.

Nancy F.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and the service was quick. So happy the have pies from Back Dough. The restaurant was nice and cool and inviting. I ordered the special Carlitos cuban. It was served on a torta with lots of mustard. Not a fan of this new sandwich. I do love the French apple pie from the back dough. The crust is not soggy and the apple filling is great with the crumble on top.

Lyndsey E.

Yelp
Beyond Bread is a Tucson Gem! With fresh baked bread, pastries, and pies it's truly a treat to eat at Beyond Bread. Highly recommend their Fruit Tart and various breakfast pastries which are the perfect balance of sweet paired with a flaky crust or croissant. They have Maya Tea and Decibel Coffee available as well. It's also a great place for sandwiches at lunchtime. You can enjoy dinner and drinks with local beer and wine, their pot pies and macaroni and cheese are fantastic.

Kyle C.

Yelp
Very busy with all the locals! There is ample seating inside and out, but you might still be hard stretched to find a spot during the lunch rush at this location. The service was good and I enjoyed my sandwich. I opted for carrots as my side, and they just come in a little plastic bag.

Christina M.

Yelp
The food is really good. This place is a great bakery/ restaurant. The only reason I'm giving 4 vs 5 stars is simply that there was a long wait. Apparently there was a situation with them switching to a new batch of soup which I enjoyed but it created a 20 minute wait because they forgot to check on it. I had to go check on the order to see what happened because I could see the orders placed after ours were coming out pretty quickly. They were very nice about it and threw in a free cookie but the delay did make a difference in our travel plans since we were just passing through on the way to New Mexico so 4 stars for this time, if I come back I'm sure it will be spot on and I'll update my review. The Gordo's Gorgonzola sando was awesome, basil tomato soup and macaroni salad both were tasty. Cookie and iced cold brew with caramel and cream were all delicious.

Yelp
Best tuna sandwich I ever had That was three years ago and heading back down to Tuscan for a day trip from Phoenix and it's worth it to stop

Russ S.

Yelp
Consistently good food and is a convenient location pleasant staff. Easy access. It's a ten in my book.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Beyond Bread is one of my favorite sandwich places and I go every time I visit Tucson! I love the pastries and bread here. The sandwiches are to die for! There are so many combinations! And everything is customizable. The portions here are AMAZING. The sandwiches are gigantic! At least two meals for one! I love it! The servers are always very nice and don't make me feel bad for customizing my order (which I really appreciate). There is so much seating here (both inside and out), it's great!

Mike S.

Yelp
Breads were decent. Nothing great but not bad either. Service was good and fast. If I'm Tucson, may go back but there are better choices.

Mai-Chi N.

Yelp
Firstly I want to mention the service. The lovely lady who rang up my order was very nice and very patient as it was my first time here. She explained the menu well and didn't rush me at all. Food: I was honestly a little disappointed. In terms of flavor, it was there, but, texturally, I would not call this bread. I had a Thursday lunch special, I think it was a chicken parm, and the sandwich bread was tough. I also bought a parmesan loaf and baguette loaf, and those were also pretty meh at best. The parmesan loaf I can't be a good judge of, but the baguette? It was very dense. Not soft at all, even after I warmed it up. At this point, I think this is normal bread masquerading as a baguette, which greatly disappointed me because I was really looking forward to a good loaf. Don't even think about parking immediately. You will be circling the lot battling it out with soccer moms, folks on their lunch break, and snowbirds for a spot. Maybe it was an off day, so I'd like to try it again some other time.

Janet F.

Yelp
Lovely clean gathering place. Very few GF options. Not even GF granola. I admit, I love the crispy bacon, but is this looked cooked enough. If you don't eat eggs or gluten place up. Otherwise you will enjoy it. The service is exceptional.

bideys m.

Yelp
The Peace of the Middle East salad is my favorite thing there. And I really appreciate the gluten-free option for regular bread on the side (especially since they specialize in that). But after I got my order, I found that they made the salad into a wrap, which is a really bad idea: this is the messiest thing I've ever seen in a food- service business. They also don't provide as much to eat when they make it this way. Bad accommodation Beyond Bread!

Sandra Y.

Yelp
Have they changed hands? Quality has gone down. Visited Speedway for breakfast and I was shocked at the presentation of the food as well as quality.

Tamara M.

Yelp
I ordered the Carmela's sandwich. It comes with mozzarella, basil, roasted red peppers, and a vinaigrette. Normally it would come on a focaccia but I asked to have it on their delicious pretzel bread. I am so happy I made that choice. It was a dollar extra charge, but worth it. Also, as a vegetarian and a vegetable lover, I added some additional vegetables including spring mix. I would probably not put the vinaigrette directly on the sandwich because it did make my bread a little bit soggy. I would have it as a side option so I could dip it. The pretzel bread had just the right amount of salt. And the sandwich had a good amount of crunch with the veggies. A pretty perfect sandwich.

Cake A.

Yelp
The gazpacho was bubbling. It was utterly spoiled and disgusting. After being a patron for over a decade it was my go to lunch place. The bread is so yeasty that you could get a yeast infection for it. This is not the first time. No thanks. Never again.

Kathleen L.

Yelp
Most restaurants are over-priced and under-whelming, but my first time to Beyond Bread was most impressive. The prices were reasonable and the service great. I commented on the DELICIOUS Dill & Cucumber dressing and wanted to buy some to take home and she delighted me in sending me home with some free samples. The green chile & corn chowder soup was really good (I'm a critic from New Mexico) and the spring salad very fresh. There are SO many restaurants in Tucson to choose from and I know this one will be a favorite now.

Beth W.

Yelp
I love Beyond Bread, the food is perfect with lots of choices. I have a relative who is picky about food but she loves this place. The employees are helpful and friendly.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
I like Beyond Bread a lot. My favorite items are the seasonal gazpacho and Parmesan herb bread, but I also enjoy some of the sandwiches. The Bart's Bag is very good (I always substitute out the baguette, though, as it's very hard to eat) and I'm also a big fan of the Rex's Revenge (chicken Caesar.) I also really enjoy the Avi's Avo,, Maya's Market and Annie's Addiction. The restaurant is spacious and bright and the service is usually pretty fast. I'm docking a star, mostly due to the high price of full sandwiches and the limited availability of halves. The whole sandwiches are way too big to eat in one sitting and with so many toppings, they sometimes get soggy and aren't nearly as tasty after being refrigerated. They do have some varieties available in halves, but not many and not most of my favorites. The other reason for the star dock is that my car was broken into at this location several years ago in the middle of the day, while I was parked in the middle of the half-empty lot. Hopefully they have improved security since then.

Bruce B.

Yelp
Ordered: croissant, cherry tart?, quiche, and coffee. It was all mid. And the coffee was yuck. I would like to try a pretzel bread sandwich before making a final assessment. Felt odd after noticing everyone working here had eyeglasses.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Beyond bread is one of my favorite sandwich locations in Tucson! They have fresh bread for all of their sandwiches. My favorite things to get are the Paulys Pesto (the focaccia bread is just delicious), the Paloma's Pavo, tomato soup, or the gobble me up salad. Don't worry if you are looking for something sweet, they definitely have a wide variety! The services is fast causal. And the atmosphere is relaxed. I often see people in there studying or catching a fast lunch. I just wish that they had more delivery options so I could eat here more!

Lisa C.

Yelp
I don't know how this place doesn't have 5 stars by everyone!! Yogurt parfait DELICIOUS! Eclair DELICIOUS and the Kouign-amann with fruit was out OF this world delicious!! I'd pay double what we paid & be happy. 5 star Quality!! If you plan to visit Tucson, this is a must go to place!!!

Leticia L.

Yelp
First time , everything was delicious, I even bought a baguette to take Hm , everyone was very nice n Attentive to ur needs when ordering! Thumbs up

Arlene T.

Yelp
Very good sandwiches. Fast service. Fresh made bread. Plenty of seating. Always pick up a loaf of bread to go after eating my sandwich.

Sydney A.

Yelp
I'm not typically a lunch person, but if I go anywhere I am going to Beyond Bread every time. My go to is the Frida's Flight and it is excellent every time I've been. The pastries are always good; the keylime tart never misses.

Monica R.

Yelp
Bakery Breads is just the beginning here. I ordered the Seasonal Special Carlita's Cuban sandwich. Fresh-baked roll with roasted chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, sliced pickle, citrus dressing & traditional yellow mustard. Added chips & drink. There are so many sandwiches to choose from but this one in my opinion satisfies the tastebuds! It was close to closing time & they didn't chase out or rush customers chowing down. Very nice, clean & spacious with indoor & outdoor seating.

Jim B.

Yelp
Their sandwiches are great, and the bread for stuffing during Thanksgiving is great to use and will save you time. Also, the irish soda bread they make is great, too.

Pat N.

Yelp
Everything they make is an A+ but a couple of employees have the wrong attitude. I'm speaking about a woman at the Speedway and Wilmot location.

Lydia T.

Yelp
Really great food and delicious coffee. Fast and friendly service fun local place to visit.

Heather M.

Yelp
Cashier's were rude and the manager was too. Telling me to wait after I had already waited too long for service. Do not recommend this place.

Jana K.

Yelp
Somewhat slow service. I ordered a salad but this place is always busy. Food was well priced, large portion & good.
