Truly beyond expectations! I recently joined a survival skills lesson with Beyond Expeditions in Ubin, and the experience lived up to the name, it truly went beyond what I imagined. From the start, the team was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about teaching. The instructor made the session very personal , asking me questions and adjusting the pace to my level. I really appreciated that nothing was “held back.” They shared every detail and technique, and encouraged me to learn as much as I wanted. We covered fire starting, wood chopping, and knot tying, all taught in a hands-on, practical way that made me feel confident to use these skills on my own. The class was safe, well-structured, and filled with useful tips that only experienced guides would know. If you’re looking for a unique and empowering outdoor experience that combines practical survival skills with supportive, knowledgeable teaching — I highly recommend Beyond Expeditions . I’ll definitely be back for more!

I recently returned from an incredible trip through Central Mongolia, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Thank you BE for the well thought itinerary and amazing planning! The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking — from endless blue skies to rolling grasslands and dramatic mountain ranges to serene rivers and ancient monasteries nestled in the hills. Each stop seemed more stunning than the last, and the variety of natural beauty kept everyday fresh and exciting. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between activity and relaxation. I had my first camel and horse ride - apprehensive at first but found the experience very enjoyable and duration made just right for first timers. We visited key historical sites, enjoyed peaceful moments in nature, and even had time to interact with local nomadic families — a highlight that truly enriched the trip. There was never a dull moment, yet we never felt rushed. A huge part of what made this journey so special was our amazing tour guide and driver. Our guide, Unuruu was knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to share fascinating insights into Mongolian culture and history. Our driver, Ganzuk was not only skilled on the rugged roads, but also kind and dependable — we always felt safe and in good hands. All in all, this trip to Central Mongolia was a truly unforgettable adventure. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique travel experience and is open to a bit of ruggedness. You can look forward to a trip that is filled with natural beauty, cultural depth, and new experiences.

I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about my recent adventure, the BEYOND LIMITS 9 Charity Expedition, which took place from the 2nd to the 12th of June 2025. This incredible journey led me through the stunning and remote Makay Massif in Madagascar, and I must say, it was one of the toughest yet most meaningful experiences of my life. Honestly, I’m still not sure how I survived the expedition, but I did it! :) It is hard to describe the natural beauty of the Makay region until you witness it yourself. It was truly a feast for the senses and a reminder of the incredible beauty our planet holds. Each day presented new challenges – from the scorching sun and tough terrain to sandy river crossings, steep climbs, and long hours on our feet. Despite the physical strain and exhaustion, none of us wanted to give up. The encouragement from each team member pushed us through together, lifting each other up at every step and forming bonds that I'll cherish forever. A significant part of the journey was visiting local communities and witnessing the tough conditions many kids in Madagascar face. It was incredibly humbling and added a lot of depth to the expedition. Experiencing firsthand what the kids endure in the brick factories, working from 5 am to 4 pm daily, was hard to imagine and deeply moving. These encounters reminded us why we were there – not just to test our limits, but to make a real difference in the lives of others. I also want to give a shout-out to BEYOND LIMITS all team leaders and the Madagascar local support team, including guide, chef, driver, porter, and nurse for their amazing organization and professionalism throughout the expedition. Special thanks to Scott, Kavita, Nicholas and Lanto for being great leaders during the journey and showing immense patience towards all the queries posted by the team. Big applause to Ryan (photographer) and Chou Rui (videographer) did an awesome job capturing every beautiful moment for us. And, of course, a big thanks to Valerie, our creative content writer, who constantly broadcast our stories during the expedition for more fund raising. Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience. I'm grateful for the chance to have been part of such an inspiring journey.

I went on the 2023 Golden Eagle Festival Trip to Mongolia with Beyond Expedition. Some break-down of the trip. It is broken down into two parts. The festival portion, and the road-trip portion. Each handled by different guides. First, the Good. The local tour guides that are actually on the ground are amazing. They were welcoming, forthcoming, and extremely hospitable. It really made this tour very special and pleasant. This includes the amazing drivers and road-trip guides. Sadly, that's where the good stops. The Bad. In summary, Beyond Expedition severely cheap out on numerous items during the trip. The lodging was nowhere near what we paid, which was an expensive $6990. And this was after investigating the prices of the lodging we stayed at. In addition, Scott (founder of Beyond Expedition) gave misleading information and conveniently 'radio-silenced' us when troubles cropped up during the trip. Firstly, our original hotel was suddenly changed 1 week before our trip. And this was only after pestering Scott for more information on our lodging. The excused given was that an international event booked out the original hotel. (But clearly this was not communicated to us, and it was only after everyone messaged Scott for our lodging information, did he provide). Another incident was when the replacement hotel had no hot water (the temperature at that time was around 10 degrees). Scott who was supposed to be the tour coordinator and "helpline" ignored all our messages. And we had to solve the issue ourselves. The lack of clear communication, both prior and during the trip, really made this trip unbearable. Would definitely not engage Beyond Expedition, or Scott for any further trips. Mongolia is truly a beautiful place, and would revisit it in future. But in no way would I want to use Beyond Expedition. Advice: If you need to go to Mongolia, there are many other tours that offer what BeyondExpedition does. Even if the prices are the same, I am confident the experience would be miles better than what I got out from this trip.

BEYOND LIMITS 8 Charity Expedition: Dagala Thousand Lake Trek 12th Dec -21st Dec 2024 Bhutan has been on my bucket list for a very long time, and this trip has been nothing short of amazing; not just because of the unparalleled views, but more importantly, it was the company and people I went on this incredible journey with. Big shout out to Scott, Sangay, the BE team and our wonderful Bhutanese crew for curating this and facilitating this incredible experience. The trek itself has been both challenging (in a very good way) and a personally enriching journey. I wasn’t the quickest chicken in the basket but I felt very supported by everyone. That was one of the most important and lasting aspects of the whole experience for me. Bhutan is a very beautiful country with her mountainous valleys and unique landscape. Trekking through the landscape felt like I was walking into a Nat Geo documentary in HD. The wind, the weather and the terrain can be unforgiving but it is worth every step of the way. It is incredibly rewarding when you push hard and you will be surprised at what you discover within yourself. The Bhutanese people are incredibly warm once you get past the initial stoicism and their love for their country is inspiring and incredibly infectious! It’s quite a sight to behold when your guide is waving the national flag at 4000m above sea level against the Himalayan Mountain range! This trip goes beyond any ordinary travel holiday. It is a unique and one of a kind life experience that cannot be replicated anywhere. I highly recommend everyone making a trip like this at least once in a lifetime. It is not easy but it will broaden your horizons and perspective so much more when you have been through the journey. Do check out Beyond Expeditions’ website if this sounds like your jam. It is truly one of a kind!

I went on a 10-day trip to Central Mongolia in August with four of my old buddies, all of us in our 40s to 60s, including a couple of monks. BE helped us put the trip together, and everything was well organized and suited to our pace. Before the trip, we received a detailed pre-expedition briefing and packing list, which was surprisingly helpful. It covered items we wouldn’t have thought of ourselves, and it made us feel a lot more prepared. One of the highlights for us was horse riding at White Lake. The short videos provided beforehand gave us enough confidence to try it out, even as beginners. It made the experience smoother and more enjoyable. Throughout the journey, our local guide and driver took good care of us, and the BE team in SG checked in regularly. Whenever we had any requests, they were quick to respond and always did their best to help. Overall, it was a memorable trip for our group of old friends, and we’re grateful for the effort put in. We’re already looking forward to exploring Kazakhstan with them next.
