AVOID THIS HOTEL||We had a reservation for 2 rooms from our travel agent with confirmation from an online booking service with receipt and voucher. We arrived and they only had 1 room booked in their system. The room was unavailable as it was morning so we went on a tour. At our return they still said there was one room only but they could not give it to us as we were 4 people! A trainee was extremely difficult so we asked for the manager who was also not very accommodating but allowed us to move our luggage into one room while charging us for taxes for 4. The room had no towels, we asked for towels which they did not provide. We provided the confirmation of payment and voucher and went for a walk. |At our return at 9pm, we still had no towels and no second room. They were very rude and unhelpful. The hotel was empty.|The room we got was moldy and stuffy. We booked a second room in an hotel nearby called Maru Maru which which was a lot better and cheaper|Avoid this hotel

Great location in Stonetown but that’s it. The rooms, food and amenities are unremarkable. No elevator so if you have limited mobility, do not stay here. Lots of stairs.

No hot water on either morning of a 2-day stay. Complained to front desk twice after 1st day; was told it was fixed, but still no hot water the second day. Lovely staff; wonderful location.

We stayed at the room downstairs, the bathroom configuration does not provide privacy. Reception staff, restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.

We found this boutique hotel online and just loved it. It is located in a small corner of Stone Town next to the beach and has a serene feeling. The hotel is traditional in its set up, which we love, and has all the amenities you need. They kindly looked after our excess luggage while we visited Mafia Island for 9 days. The room we had was very large and well appointed. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly and helpful. ( manager Hamim) We stayed there twice. (Have stayed in 5 other hotels in Zanzibar)

Coming from a far distance is not easy. As a human being, we all need that perfect, relaxing venue to rest our feets and Beyt Al Salaam knew exactly what they were doing!. The rooms are well settled, neat, clean, nothing to bother about. The friendliest and the most supportive staff i have ever come across, reaching right at your door as earliest as possible. Great food. Great Aesthetics. Great People. Great place to spend your night. Thank you Beyt Al Salaam for a remarkable experience, and i assuredly advice any visitors to let Beyt Al Salaam be your venue to spend the night.

very noisy hotel unfortunately, it was so noisy that I have to write this. all night monkeys run on the roof of the hotel, the roof is tin and this noise is in the room. there is no sleep at all. I am attaching the video.

A nice stay at Beyt Al Salaam in Zanzibar. Service is friendly and hospitable and the location cannot be beaten for Stone Town, right in the center of the action and just off the waterfront. The bed mattresses are a bit firm for my liking, I prefer a bit more plush. One major area the hotel can improve is the wifi is terrible, it keeps cutting in and out and has a very weak signal. Breakfast is included, just so you know Spanish Omelette option is not an actual Spanish Omelette, it’s a omelette with vegetable pieces inside.
