Great location in Stonetown but that’s it. The rooms, food and amenities are unremarkable. No elevator so if you have limited mobility, do not stay here. Lots of stairs.

We found this boutique hotel online and just loved it. It is located in a small corner of Stone Town next to the beach and has a serene feeling. The hotel is traditional in its set up, which we love, and has all the amenities you need. They kindly looked after our excess luggage while we visited Mafia Island for 9 days. The room we had was very large and well appointed. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly and helpful. ( manager Hamim) We stayed there twice. (Have stayed in 5 other hotels in Zanzibar)

Coming from a far distance is not easy. As a human being, we all need that perfect, relaxing venue to rest our feets and Beyt Al Salaam knew exactly what they were doing!. The rooms are well settled, neat, clean, nothing to bother about. The friendliest and the most supportive staff i have ever come across, reaching right at your door as earliest as possible. Great food. Great Aesthetics. Great People. Great place to spend your night. Thank you Beyt Al Salaam for a remarkable experience, and i assuredly advice any visitors to let Beyt Al Salaam be your venue to spend the night.

very noisy hotel unfortunately, it was so noisy that I have to write this. all night monkeys run on the roof of the hotel, the roof is tin and this noise is in the room. there is no sleep at all. I am attaching the video.

Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic Zafran infused rice is written in the menu description for a dish however we were served turmeric infused rice In the name of zafran the pricing is 33kTsh where as the same dish is available for 12kTsh Similarly, calamari tempura with tartar sauce was in the menu however we were served without tarter sauce Their famous coconut crab soup is average Basically, the ratings are hyped or influenced this misguiding tourist like me at Zanzibar.

There is clearly a huge miscommunication between this hotel and an established booking platform. I was left stranded without accommodation even though booking was confirmed with the platform, however the hotel claimed they could not see said booking. Completely disappointed with the lack of effort from both parties in assisting me. 0/1000000 do not recommend.

Absolutely terrible !!!! What they show on the pics and what you get is 2 different things … the min you walk into the rooms you can get a damp and moist smell and that is so hazardous to a persons health !! We requested a refund because we suffer from asthma and the dampness aggravated it in less then 30 mins … we were just upgraded to a bigger room … but the dampness is in the whole building so changing rooms was of no use …. Very very disappointing place … !! Do not be fooled by the pics that they have posted on the website … the place is old and smelly .

A nice stay at Beyt Al Salaam in Zanzibar. Service is friendly and hospitable and the location cannot be beaten for Stone Town, right in the center of the action and just off the waterfront. The bed mattresses are a bit firm for my liking, I prefer a bit more plush. One major area the hotel can improve is the wifi is terrible, it keeps cutting in and out and has a very weak signal. Breakfast is included, just so you know Spanish Omelette option is not an actual Spanish Omelette, it’s a omelette with vegetable pieces inside.
