A beautiful museum show casing the art and culture of Rajasthan.There is also a ten minute puppet show. Ticket costs 90 for adult and 50 for children.

This is a beautiful place with so many beautiful artefacts of puppets from around the world, artefacts from different tribes around with amazing photographs. House Wall paintings and the reasons they made them were explained in a simple manner. Also don’t forget to watch a small puppet show performed by local artists. Might need some more maintenance but this is a must visit place.

Must visit attraction in Udaipur. This is place highligting traditional Art of puppetry and folk Dances of Rajasthan. The artist are very talented and the puppet show is one of the best. Must visit for all art and music lovers.

An old museum which isn't maintained properly, but has some insightful things to look at, like the history of puppets, tribal and folk art and a puppet show which happens every 20 minutes. A short and good point in your Udaipur trip.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal is a wonderful place to experience the rich folk culture of Rajasthan. The puppet show and traditional dance performances like Bhavai and Ghoomar were the highlights – engaging, colorful, and full of energy. The museum also has a nice collection of masks, costumes, and folk instruments that give a glimpse into local traditions. The staff is polite and helpful, and the atmosphere feels authentic and family-friendly. Seats and infrastructure could be maintained a bit better, but the cultural experience more than makes up for it. A must-visit for anyone who wants to explore the real essence of Rajasthani art and heritage in Udaipur!

We loved the puppet show and live performances. You don't need to understand the language. The artists were really good. It's a good opportunity to visit the real cultural folk art. I do think the theatre premises inside needs some love and maintenance. The chairs were not so soft and comfy, well some of the chairs.
