The airport is small, outdated and lacks of basic facilities and connections to the city.
If you fly from any modern airport where bags for liquids are not needed anymore, keep in mind that there will still be a need to fit your liquids inside one when you fly back from here.
The cafe accessible at the entrance of the airport is poorly serviced. When we landed in Biarritz last Wednesday at 5 PM it was closing and was not serving people anymore.
There is also a cafe beyond the controls, the food offer is still quite poor and the prices are extortionate (€23.5 for a breakfast for 2, a sandwich and a small bottle of water).
Generally, considering how many people fly here, I feel that the airport service is below standard and in lots of ways it hasn’t modernised as much as you would expect in 2025. Connections to the nearby cities (Biarritz, Bayonne, Seignosse etc) are all very poor and Uber is very expensive here.
Shame because the place is wonderful
