Our bungalow was unique, spacious and charmingly beach themed. We loved the town of Bicheno and the location was perfect, right near the blowhole, scenic walks and delicious food options. You could see and hear the ocean from the balcony and we even had a Penguin come to visit! My only complaint would be that we were very close to the pool and playground so there were a lot of excited kids around, but they seemed to be having a great time!

Stayed for one night in Dec 2024, in unit 1. Lovely spacious room with large bathroom and very comfortable bed. This is the accessible unit so we did not have direct access to the shared deck area. Unit overlooks the canoe pond, near the entrance to the property. Have stayed before a couple of times and happy to return. Very quiet and peaceful. Various accommodation options available, self contained villas of varying sizes. Friendly reception. Short walk in to town / coastal path and blowhole. We did the penguin tour while we were there.

A series of individually named bungalows nicely located on the waterfront. We stayed in an appropriately named unit called 'The Shack' (we drove past it twice thinking it was a maintenance shed). The interior was rustic and spartan, but functional, The exterior looked neglected. Small kitchen available. If you want to eat at one of Bicheno's limited number of unremarkable restaurants, I strongly recommend that you book a reservation well in advance.

We stayed one night at Bicheno by the Bay in November and loved it! The wooden cottage was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with everything you need to unwind and relax. The best part? It’s just footsteps from the bay, making it a peaceful and scenic retreat. Highly recommend!

The cabins here are very individual and varied. The location is great, and the rooms are clean and have everything you would need. There was cooking facilities in the room we had (if I'd needed them). There is also an onsite pool if the weather was warmer and a small lake with canoes on it as well as a playground. Would be a great family place to stay. It's close to the blowhole and the town is in walking distance. I would stay there again.

We had booked into one of the bungalows but it seems we were upgraded to one of the new apartments. They are 2 bedroom but when you are a couple they just lock off the other bedroom which makes sense. The apartments are pretty much brand new and have a full kitchen in them. There was a large lounge area that opened onto a deck area overlooking the water. The couple of days we were there the winds were near cyclonic so didn't get to try the pool or canoeing pond. |Location is excellent with a short walk to the blowhole and into the town area of Bicheno. |Would certainly recommend this place

Bicheno by the Bay was in a stunning location and our A Frame bungalow faced the sea view so we loved that.It had everything we needed, however the bathroom needs an upgrade, clean but not user friendly for my older husband with mobility issues. Would recommend Bicheno by the Bay as value for money. Also very handy to the lovely Lobster Shack restaurant.

Lovely staff greet you. The units are old style shacks which I love, neat, clean and fully appointed with view out over the ocean. Going to sleep in the magnificently comfortable beds to the sound of waves crashing on the rocks, well there is nothing quite like it. Not the first time we have stayed here, won't be the last.
