Pros: Lovely little cabins with a lot of character, I'm obsessed with the different colors they've chosen to paint the outside of each cabin, makes it feel like a charming little village. The location is unbeatable, with almost everything you need within a 10-15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. Our cabin had a view over the ocean and we could even see the bicheno blowhole from our balcony. The staff were extremely friendly :) Cons: The cabin was nice but a little under-decorated. The air conditioner seemed to struggle heating up the room even after being left on for hours, on high temperature and on high fan speed; thankfully they provide heated blankets which helped offset the struggling ac. Unfortunately there was no smart TV. Overall a great stay, definitely would recommend; but if you're wanting to watch streaming services in the evenings I suggest packing a digital media player like a Chromecast.

This is my second time here - I highly recommend the Deluxe/Superior cabins as they‘re a bit newer. But otherwise it‘s just such a fantastic stay. You can‘t beat the location, everything in Bicheno is within walking distance, the ocean is right there, and the Lobster Shack is truly just a hop skip and a jump away. My favourite place to stay in Bicheno!

The bed linen and bed was good. The building exterior of our cabin was in need of repair, didn’t feel safe on the balcony. The cabin was extremely hard to warm up due to a number of ventilated windows, the furniture was very uncomfortable. Bedroom doors didn’t close, some lights not working, every floorboard creaking. Driveway was impossible to access. For the money they received it was well below 3 star standard.

A very nice place to stay, super convenient to all of the popular places that you shouldn’t missed in Bicheno. Thank you! (To the lovely couple who served me and my wife in the reception today) we saw the penguins tonight!😆😆

Great place for our one night stay before heading to Freycinet National Park to explore the following day. Very quite, clean units with all that was need for a one night stay. Great place for a family to stay with a pool, canoe pond and other activities for children. Liked that each unit was stand alone. Walking distance to township and blowhole.

Hubby and I recently had a 3 night stay here in a wonderful cabin Pioneer Place. Yes, the cabin was rustic but so roomy, so comfy, so clean and we used the bbq for dinner. The location was fantastic being within walking distance of town, the blowholes and the beautiful beach walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Did other reviewers stay in a different place? My one bedroom 'bungalow' was old, poorly furnished and barely more than a shed. There was a feeble shower over the bath, which looked about 50 years old. Worse still, there was no outside lighting, no footpath and no WiFi. Without a car, I felt quite stranded. I got lost twice and nearly run over several times.||Breakfast was 2 slices of white bread, 2 weetabix and an apple. ||The 'pool' was disgusting.||On the plus side, the bed was clean and comfortable, even if the bed cover looked about 20 years old. ||If I hadn't already paid via my travel agent, I wouldn't have stayed a second night. ||I would have complained, except the reception was always closed.

Stayed in wattle/something for one night — an old A-frame (yellow) with ripped & dirty curtains, lumpy sofa, too-soft bed, old fixtures and a rooster nearby that starts crowing an hour before dawn. We found a wood beetle on the curtain rod as we were going to bed, and another kind of insect on my chest in the morning. Luckily not the biting kind. But this property is too rustic for me and not worth the price, which I assume is based on its excellent location near the shore.
