As someone who lives here, I almost want to gatekeep this place 🤭but I’m not going to! Bichos is absolutely the best tacos and quesadillas in Sayulita! Not to mention, they have an incredible drinks menu and such a good vibe! The salsa bar is so incredible, and allows you to make your meal customized every time so I genuinely end up coming here multiple times a week! Every time I have people visit, I bring them here on their first day and they just want to keep coming back. Because it’s still central to town, but not right on the main street it’s quiet and you won’t be overwhelmed with street performers while eating. The owners are the nicest couple EVER, and everything is made super fresh & homemade! If you are looking for the best Mexican food in sayulita, this is your place✊🏽🌮

Bichos is good if you want a sit down taco experience. I think the tacos are better and more authentic in other places but the cocktails are great. I rate the shrimp the most. Kind of feels like a Mexican taco spot that is in any European or American city though. Over all mid.

Loved this place! Definitely try the suadero (brisket) and the smoked tuna. Toppings bar is top notch. You will not be disappointed. The service here is excellent but the main server I had was Kalina. She went above and beyond. Thank you!

Great vibe. Nice cocktails. But the tacos are the star. You can likely find cheaper tacos. But the quality of ingredients are top notch. (Things are usually cheap for a reason) Great salsa bar. Lovely service. Recommend

Best taco restaurant in town! Been coming for 14 years and it just gets better and better! They now offer margaritas and dessert! Tacos are boooom! With loots of options and salsas! Favourite passion fruit margarita in town! And passion fruit cheese cake to die for! Support this lovely family business ♥️♥️

What a great place to eat and enjoy libations! While other trendy places are closing their doors, Bichos welcomes you in. Amazing drinks. My favourite was the Frutas de la pasion and my husband’s was the tamaginger - both delicious margaritas- but they are all good - we tasted many. We are pescatarian and this place delivers on the fish and seafood. Great smoked tuna volcan and tacos camaron which we enjoyed on 2 different occasions. Also great mahi mahi and mushroom tacos. Worth the stop x many. Enjoy!!! Gracias.

The women that run this place know what they’re doing. The concept is simple, but the ingredients are carefully arranged. Very impressed by the menu and salsa bar. Drink selections are also varied enough to please anyone. Mushroom and fish tacos were perfect. Maracuya Cheesecake was a surprising pleasure. Would recommend the volcan, it is enough for one person. Overall, a welcoming spot with families, children playing, and a clean focus.

One of my favorite places in sayulita to get tacos! All tacos are ordered by meat choice and then you get to dress it up with their salsa/veggie bar that has so many choices. You can really make 3 tacos into a meal for one very hungry person. Well worth the price. Amazing cocktails (the best I’ve had in sayulita)

Interior: 5/5 clean and aesthetically pleasing Service: 5/5 friendly Prices: 3/5 expensive for the area, 40-60 pesos per taco Food ratings: Sirloin tacos: 3/5 - lacks flavor, needs salt Mahi mahi tacos: 3/5 - cooked well but bland Chicken quesadilla: 3/5 - nothing special Salsa bar: 4/5 - extensive but none of the salsas were spicy Given my preferences for more flavor and spice, I would try other places.

I don't know nothin 'bout nothin... But I know what I like. These are the best tacos on the planet.

I LOVEEEE BICHOS MAY WE BE REUNITED ASAP went like 4 times ik I should've tried dif places but the fried mahi mahi taco was literally just insane ugh and all of their sauces on the wall and their guacamole omg with those fucking tortilla chips my heart hurts I need more now. And such kind and friendly staff who kept their kids around so just a really warm environment. Nothing bad about it, why would I ever stop going back . Tbh I wasn't in love with that many other items other than the mahi mahi but omg idc i had the chorizo marlin shrimp brisket methinks and maybe pastor

The combination of the homemade corn tortilla and the tastiest meat made Bichos one of our favorite spots to eat. Everyone is so friendly and the salsa bar is perfection with many options. This place should definitely be on your list while in Sayulita.

The atmosphere is casual , clean , spacious , comfortable and enchanting all under one roof . Customer Service is super friendly and well mannered . The food is superb and cooked fresh to every order ... Mind you the salsa bar fully equipped with a wide selection of salsa from mild to hot , from green to red with all the toppings one desires on a fresh taco made in the heart of Sayulita-Nayarit, Mexico ... My favorite taco is the tasty and tender brisket !!! I love this place ... There were many reasons I chose moving to Sayulita and one of the reasons was the delightful BICHOS Restaurant. You'll Love It !!! From Beef to Pork , Chicken , Seafood and Vegetarian Choices !!! Muy Bien Comida !!!

The place is adorable and the service amazing! We had fish tacos, steak tacos and tacos Al pastor. All wonderful and on what looked like homemade corn tortillas. After you get your food there is a salsa station with cucumbers, radish, cilantro, onions and a plethora of salsa. So delicious and reasonably priced! A cute little bar too! Other perks: They speak English and Spanish. Centrally located, and they are eager to please.

The tacos and the Vulcan were so good. We loved that they had a bar with different salsas and toppings where you can pick out whatever you want on top of your order. Everything seemed really fresh. The service was also really good. Best taco place we've been to so far. definitely recommend

Super cute place with friendly bilingual waitstaff. We loved all of our tacos and especially the handmade tortillas. The salsa bar was also super fun with a wide variety of options including nopales, pickled onion, beans, and radish.

This is what I imagined Sayulita was like 20 years ago. Bichos is just a block away from the main part of town, and a different vibe than some of the other spots. It is an outdoor space with picnic tables and an open kitchen. I had three tacos: pastor, mahi, and shrimp. All three were very good. There's a salsa and condiment bar to dress up your tacos including some yummy marinated red onions. The fish and shrimp tasted fresh and were delicious. The servers were friendly as well. Oh, when you get to the front gate, stop and look up into the tree. There are several Iguanas that hang out there and eat the seeds of the tree!

Amazing tortillas, great for all types of diets, loved the salsa bar. I ordered mushroom quesadilla and my brother & boyfriend tried 4 different tacos. Best meal we had in sayulita.

Bichos is a hidden gem. Unbelievably good food in a cool, modern, great-vibe place. It's a nice respite from the street vendors as well. Agua Frescas are out of this world! They change every day and all of the ones we had were delicious. My boys and wife had the Pastor, Mahi Mahi Volcans and I (vegan) had the best vegan mushroom tacos I've every had. The chips and guacamole are the best we had in town, and the taco ingredient bar was amazing to dress your dishes exactly the way you want. Salsa's incredibly hand-made and delicious. As good as the food is, the staff is even better. Lovely people, kind and made you feel like you were eating in their own homes. Best Mexican food in Sayulita in my humble opinion.

The service is awesome and the workers are super nice and friendly. The best tacos I've ever had! They have so many different salsas and they all taste amazing. I definitely would recommend going here, and they also have a bar with super good cocktails and beer to accompany the best tacos ever

Omg and the ambiance!!!! the place is not only so clean but very modern. 10/10 for me! make sure to order mahi mahi capeado!! tortillas made by hand. super cheap. and high quality ingredients. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! oh and the salsas BOMB

First time coming here, the quesadillas were great, good prices and service, and they also take credit cards; we'll definitely be back!

Last night in Sayulita and asked the family to make this the last taco stop. We were all impressed. Mahi mahi volcan loaded from the salsa bar was delicious. Kids had shrimp, chicken, and brisket tacos and my wife did the chicken quesadilla. Everything was very good, don't miss this spot.

Just a minute from our place we stayed at (La Esquina) so super convenient. At Bichos you get to choose from asada, chicken, al pastor, fish and mushroom as your taco. Then you can go to the salsa bar to choose from a variety of salsas, along with radishes, cucumber, string beans, and beans. They are open in the evening. The dining atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Definitely going back!

Some friends took me here for a unique experience, the quesadilla! Home made, hand pressed white corn tortilla stuffed with amazing cheese and protein or vegetables of choice. This is a large item so i would recommend starting with one and going back for round two if you need it. Also, highly recommend the "orange water."

Some of the best tacos I ever had! We decided to grab a bite here because it looked beachy and fun! It seems to be family operated - their service was great! We ordered chicken quesadilla, steak and shrimp tacos. It took a few minutes to makes (made with love). The quesadilla was very cheesy, steak tacos were juicy, and shrimp was crunchy! The super cool part was the table of all of the different salsas and toppings you could put on your food. My favorite was the green sauce - slightly spicy. They do not have liquor only a couple different beers. Awesome and friendly place!

Best tacos in town! We love the simplicity of this restaurant. The variety of taco meats (beef, pork, chicken, brisket, seafood, etc) is incredible, and the full bar of self serve salsas, toppings, sauces, beans, pickled onions, etc is unreal! We eat here frequently with our three teen children, it's their favorite! I think we ordered 20 tacos during our last visit!

If you go to Sayulita and don't try a Volcán from Bichos YOU DIDNT GO TO SAYULITA. Best restaurant in town by far! They have a fresh and colorful variety of delicious authentic salsas and toppings to go with the different kind of tacos. The brisket is a MUST! WARNING: make sure to bring an appetite

This is an amazing Taco place, just around the corner from the beach in lovely Sayulita. The seafood and tortillas are so fresh and the fixings bar at the back counter gives you countless ways to customize your meal with fresh veggies and salsas. And the owners are so nice and welcoming. It's the only restaurant ever where I've actually suggested they raise their prices. The value here is amazing. Hurry on down and grab some seats. You won't be disappointed!!

Bichos was our favorite taco place during our stay, cheap and delicious! We stumbled upon the restaurant on our first night just a few hours after arriving. We walked up from the beach and found it quickly. The restaurant is under an open air rectangular palapa and tables are small. Almost all of the tables were taken which we took as a great sign. The waitress came right up and gave us a verbal menu in Spanish, we each ordered tacos and they came out fresh and hot. They bring the tacos on plates wrapped in plastic (easy clean-up!), then you get the condiments for yourself (hot sauce, onions, cucumbers, etc). The kitchen is located outside with the tables so you can actually watch them put your meal together. Three of us had two tacos each and a agua fresca for a grand total of just under $10 USD for the 3 of us - this place is incredible for a budget traveler. We came back for lunch a few days later to find that it was a completely different vibe/menu during the day. We were greeted with menus and the taco topping station was gone. We quickly ordered and got an array of dishes and the beans/guac to share. Everything was delicious. I had a shrimp tostada and my friends ordered the torta and quesadilla. The beans stole the show, they were hot and served with delicious chips, I highly recommend!

Best tacos hands down. 5 moms lined up wanting nothing more than to serve you the best tacos in town. Authentic with nice courtyard (Iguana Gardens) and spread of toppings.

Best tacos I had my whole trip. This was definitely the best way to finish off the day in sayulita. Next time I'm here I will definitely come back to Bichos

By far the best tacos in Sayulita! I've been coming here for 12 years and it just keeps getting better. Loving, open, family environment...super friendly and great service!! Skip the tourist traps and check this place out

LOVED the chicken quesadilla and fish tacos. Sooo yummy. Great place for kids to run around too. Didn't care for the tostada type option. Simple food but really great!! Wished they were open for lunch as it only opens at 5:30 pm for dinner. Also, right outside is the Iguana tree where you can see many iguanas hanging out - it's protected by the city as these iguanas as endangered.

When I came into Sayulita proper, the cab driver told me this was THE place for tortas (word of advice: listen to cabbies.. they know things). Unfortunately every time I came by they were out of tortas, so I can't speak to that except to say they must be doing something right if they sell out every single day. What I can say is the quesadillas are perfecto, easily the best I had in Sayulita. The horchata was also really good. Another note.. as with many of the smaller local businesses, bring smaller denominations of pesos. They had a hard time making change for my 500 peso bill and I felt a bit awkward. And that isn't anything against Bichos, I learned this is the norm for most of these small places in Sayulita. Plan about 70 pesos per person, give or take.
