I saw this restaurant in a short guide from Barcelona Design Hub, trusted the designers’ tastes, and decided to try. The food is indeed creative and very delicious! Their must-try ‘Fake ravioli’ is quite interesting and sublime. Sangria (EUR 16 / litter) is a bit sharp at the beginning but grows much nicer & smoother after 5-10 min. The only less-impressive item (for us) is bread with tomato sauce. We’re lucky to have an off-menu item: grilled suckling-pig leg (they called pig shoulder). It’s wonderful: tasty (a bit salty), soft inside, crispy outside. Even children’s fried chicken is delicious. Service is exceptional, fun & kind. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful meal! We had 7 dishes that were very different but exciting and super tasteful. Not the typical Spanish tapas but still recognizable dishes like Iberia cuts and oysters. The portions are a little larger than usual and that makes it good to share for two. Fine beer selection to fair prices which also applies to the dishes. The interior is modern and simple. Very European style. Kind service who spoke perfectly English to explain the dishes.

At first, the appearance of this restaurant may look like a modern cantine - at least, that's how I felt when I initially walked in. But the food was absolutely delicious, especially the mains. The meat and the scallops were gorgeous! Strongly recommend this place.

We tried this restaurant because we didn’t want to go to the very usual tapas bar you can find in Barcelona. And we were not disappointed at all! The food is delicious and the team is very keen to help you find the right dishes for the table. Moreover they were incredibly helpful with me trying to find a cab in a day in which there was none around. This place is strongly recommended.

Stunning plates, exciting wines and warm service - Bicnic was a pleasant surprise on all counts. Its deceptively simple interior foretells a completely different experience on the palate, one that truly satisfies on taste, presentation and quantity. True to its ambitions, Bicnic delivers an elevated menu of rustic dishes and ingredients. Simple ingredients like oysters, octopus and beef tartare were given a creative twist and made for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Highly recommend the smoked eel with aged beef tartare, their rendition of a surf and turf. Desserts were a standout too. Save space for them. Well done.

Was excited to visit here based upon they made Conde Nast's 33 Best Restaurants and short guide from Barcelona Design Hub but left incredibly disappointed and feeling hungry. Food was well presented but lack of substance and the "Fake raviol" dish being a extreme disappointment. Given how many great restaurants there are in Barcelona not sure how this restaurant make it on all these lists. Last note: ordered a glass of white wine was served at room temperature, and there were only English customers in the restaurant and no local.

Google
They have 2 concepts. A fast bar seating area. And a more traditional dining area "slow". The food was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. Food is a modern take on traditional dishes. They are tourist friendly. Heard reservations typically required, although it was quiet when we went during the work week.

Loved my lunch today at Bicnic. Ambience is good and service is very attentive. I tried Tartar Fume which is a set of dry aged beef with fumed eel presented on a cut of bone marrow. I should say the presentation worth a wow! Plus, it's delicious! I should say the taste of bone marrow is a bit bland, but I guess it balanced out the saltiness from the tartar. We also ordered crab and bean omelette, another winning point! The sauce is delightful and the omelette is very comforting. Recommended!

Yelp
I find one of the hardest things about traveling abroad is narrowing down a restaurant that lives up to the reviews you find online. You really need to do your research when looking for something that is local and authentic and just all around good quality food that isn't actually a tourist trap. Bicnic met all of my expectations though! After heavy research, I kept coming across this place and decided to try it. Their concept is that you can either have a fast or slow more relaxing dining experience that takes local foods and modernize it. I will say that even though we made a reservation it was quite empty when we arrived but I believe that was because we came to dinner on a Monday night and it is usually rare for places to be open on Monday's anyway so I wasn't really expecting a big crowd. We opted for the side that was for a more casual/slower dining experience. The server helped us narrow down a bottle of wine and guided us through the menu that varied from multiple tapas to main course meals. We ended up ordering a few tapas and each our own main course. We of course had to order Pan con tomato which is very traditional to Catalonia. It is bread with tomatoes and olive oil which sounds basic but it is actually amazing. From there we ordered the mussels that were in an incredible sauce and great to share. We also ordered something called fake ravioli which was essentially the ravioli but with an open bottom. It was in something called American sauce and it was amazing. We each had one and it was a perfect tapas to order. from there I ended up getting the truffled scallops and my boyfriend got the bone marrow tartar. They both had a beautiful presentation and tasted just as good as it looked. We also both ordered a dessert because we couldn't decide on one. Very happy to have stumbled upon this place and happy to know that the reviews I found online live up to all expectations and more!

Yelp
This restaurant is simply amazing. They go above and beyond. I am a true foodie and this has become one of my favorite restaurants. Not super fancy but super amazing food. Fake ravioli is a must!

Yelp
Was excited to visit here based upon they made Conde Nast's recent 33 Best Restaurants but left incredibly disappointed. Ambiance is not good, room is very bright and not a great atmosphere for dinner. Food was mediocre at best with the "not ravioli" dish being a extreme disappointment. The crab/pork combination was not very appealing at all. Service was good and servers were attentive. Given how many great restaurants there are in Barcelona wish we would have dined someplace else.

Yelp
This was a great tapa restaurant. We had the corquette and the codfish. The corquette was heavenly. The curry perfectly mixed with the mussels and the result was perfection. Don't order too much though since it's somewhat dense. One is really good enough for starter per person. The ambience was nice and the service was great.

Yelp
Lovely "slow" dining menu but they also have a great "fast" tapas style menu and bar area. Had the tuna tartar and also the falafel with carrot sauce. Both were delicious. Staff was friendly. Quiet before 9:30pm then good luck finding a space. Wonderfully off the mainstream streets. Definitely worth a visit.
