Tony's Pub

Though they just reopened a mere two days ago....this place puts out quality! Needed a place for food and drinks after the Pride Parade on Saturday and remembered they just opened.( I feel bad for all the restaurants that day because I'm pretty sure they were unaware the parade ended at Allegheny Commons West Park!) This place has fabulous space in and out and is putting out great food from a microscopic kitchen, bravo! The bartender delivered quality mixed drinks ( I wish I had gotten her name) and, over though overwhelmed by the influx of guests, what super sweet! She deserved a bonus that day!! Everyone loved the food and was deemed best burgers in the city! My hot dog was phenomenal but please do not pass up the charcuterie/ cheese board...that was the highlight!!!!

Came here for a lunch meeting and found the place to be charming and well-appointed. Service was excellent, and the BLT I ordered was delicious. I'm typically a slow eater; however, I found myself devouring my sandwich in about a quarter the time it took my companion to consume his grilled cheese. We didn't have any alcohol, but their selection looked expansive, which was encouraging for a future visit. Bier's has some great art on the walls, as well as in the bathroom. The sole downside to the experience was the noise level. As the pub is essentially one large room, sound tends to gather and amplify; additionally, their "kitchen" is right at the end of the bar rail, which means you're also contending with the sizzle of food prep. tl;dr: solid place with great food. Would/will return.

Great surprise for a place in which I really had no expectations from looking at it from the outside. The inside is awesome! Great environment and a number of beers they do under the name of War Streets Brewery. The Carrington St. Kölsch was my pick and it was awesome. Great & super cool place!

Spicy lamb was delicious! Portions for brunch were smaller than expected but overall good time and kind staff.

Greatest beer in all of PA!! Some the cleanest and most refreshing brews I've ever tasted. Super chill, relaxed vibe in a beautiful neighborhood. The food is top notch and the service is 🏆🥇👍.

Nice pub for beers with friends. Service is good. Do not recommend eating here. The burger was dry and overall not good considering it seems to be their specialty. The potatoes taste like dirty bacon grease. The bbq pulled pork was decent but nothing special. Pasta salad was good. Overall if you’re here for drinks and you’re starving get food otherwise just eat dinner somewhere else. Drinks 5/5 food 2/5.

Went for brunch. Asked the waiter if the lamb sausage was any good and he said it’s the best option on their brunch menu and he wasn’t lying. Great food, great service, and a great spot on the north side to eat at.

Great menu, excellent service. We loved the atmosphere. Food was amazing especially the burgers. Must try.

Bier's Pub became Tony's Pub with the change in ownership at the end of October 2022. We came on a Sunday for brunch. I was amazed how much and how quickly food was slinging out of the TINY griddle in the corner behind the bar as we had a bird's eye view sitting at the bar at that end closest. The hardworking staff gets the credit. I enjoyed my smoked salmon and marble rye meal. The jalapeño cream cheese was too spicy for my unadventurous palate, instead iI preferred the lemon garlic aioli. The bar and front room tables were full while we dined and it seemed like a lot of neighbors were the diners. It had a Cheers Bar type feel where everyone knew each other's name and I still felt welcomed in. Note: street parking becomes 1 hour only at Noon without a resident permit.

I understand restaurants trying to get it right but turning people away when their website says they are open. I am not sure how I feel about that situation. Steeler home games are crazy and we don't mind a long wait but to tell me sorry and to try things across the street. I went across the street and they did the best they could to get us in AND their website said they were closed! Love places that.......not sure how I feel about the "new" Tony's Pub.

Very cool neighborhood bar. The burgers are among the best I have ever had. They also have an extensive draft last featuring local breweries with a good variety of styles. The staff is super friendly, attentive and welcoming. Definitely go check it out and treat yourself to a burger and beer.
