I am not one to ever complain or leave reviews at places but this was unacceptable. The owner of this establishment is incredibly rude. I went to brunch at Bierhaven today and will NEVER return.
My and my party of 6 ordered and waited over an hour for our food (which is not the end of the world given that it's a Sunday and the restaurant was a bit busy). My food (fajita bowl) did not come out, and my friends order was incorrect. My friend took a bite of her food and realized it was not what she ordered, informed the waitress of this. Our waitress Amber was told she took a bite and realized that it was not her order, took the food back, removed the eggs from the top of the bowl, then brought it back out and attempted to give it to me. I very clearly stated "No, that meal was eaten out of by another person, so I do not want to eat that." To me, it is absolutely unacceptable to try to re-serve food that was eaten out of and brought back into the kitchen. This is completely unsanitary. Eventually (about 20 mins later) we got our correct orders brought back out.
Once we got our bill, I was absolutely SHOCKED that there was not a discount applied. I asked Amber if she could take the bowl off my bill due to our experience and she said that she would get the manager. The manager/owner/chef then came out and said that he couldn't take anything off my bill since I ate out of the new bowl they delivered to me. Obviously I was going to eat the remade bowl, as I had been in the restaurant for over an hour and a half. He said "I sent back the bowl and would never give food that was eaten out of," which was literally a situation that had just occurred. This man was extremely rude to me, stating that I was wrong and should not eat anything if I wanted it taken off the bill. As the owner to an establishment, I do not understand how you can possibly allow a customer to have an experience like that. As somebody who works in customer service myself, I would expect at least human decency and an apology. Instead of owning up to a mistake, this man and his waitress were extremely defensive and rude my table. On top of that, multiple people in our party did not receive their sides and were given food that was cold (which we did not mention to the staff, as it seemed irrelevant after being served food that had been eaten by another person). Even if you didn't want to take the meal off the bill, there's no need to be rude about it to anybody, let alone a girl who is clearly very nervous to speak up about her complaints.
Once again, I am not a person to ever complain, as I HATE confrontation but this was unacceptable. I would never recommend this place to anybody. I'd love to hear an apology from the owner of this establishment.
