Excellent gallery of high-quality furniture. We were looking for leather recliner sofas. They have a wider selection of high-end Italian all-leather recliners than Furnitureland South in Jamestown, NC, including the Natuzzi, Diven & Incanto brands. The prices are also very reasonable. There are no restrictions on delivery. Browsing was very comfortable and low-pressure. Ken Hong is a knowledgeable consultant who was very patient with our questions & responsive to our needs. As a follow-up, we received our Incanto sofa as promised a few months after ordering. Delivery was professional & delivery personnel assembled the sofa & accommodated our providing them felt furniture pads for attachment to the feet. The sofa looks great and is of excellent quality. Kudos to Bif and Ken Hong.

Shopping for a sofa bed, several friends recommended BIF Furniture. We were greeted immediately by Cindy, who listened carefully to our needs, demonstrated the product on display, and gave us numerous fabric samples to take home to determine what would look best in our room. When it comes about mid -century modern, very few companies have that. BIF was able to offer us lots of options. We picked 3 piece Italian leather couch and a small table. Couldn't be happier. The styles are good , but the furniture is expensive . We bought knowing the cost however the so called "leather" peeled off and there is no way to use them . We now have to buy new counter stools again . Would not recommend for any long term purchases

We love the 2 pieces of furniture that we bought from Bif (a desk and a credenza). However, we will never again order anything else from them. I had looked online and liked what I saw in their home office collection. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and things were slow. A sales person pointed us to the home office area, then he left and told us to get him if we wanted to buy something. Finally, we were ready and he was easy to find. We explained what we wanted to get. Some of the furniture doesn't have a price tag on it so we had to ask. Even though we told him we wanted the desk and the credenza, he went and quoted a price for the desk and a side extension piece. I asked if this included the credenza, to which he said "You wanted the credenza, too?" Sigh... Again, we explained what we wanted and finally he paid attention. He told us that it would be delivered in a week and that we would hear from them a day or two beforehand about an exact delivery day and time. When they did call, it was to tell us that the furniture wouldn't come for another week. Plus, we were told we had a choice with the credenza---either take the one on the floor or wait several weeks for a new one, and we wouldn't get a break on price if we took the one on the floor. Again...sigh. We agreed to it all. Another week passed and we didn't hear from them so we called. The woman who answered the phone said the sales person would call us back. After some phone tag, he said it would come the next Sunday and he gave us a time. We had explained that we live in an apartment building and have to reserve a delivery time. We booked the freight elevator. The next day, he called to say it would come on Monday at 10 a.m. So...we had to rebook the elevator time. Then...another call---it won't come at 10 a.m. but sometime after 2 p.m. We asked "Are you sure this time?" They said "yes". Again, we had to rebook. Someone had also booked that same time but the front desk arranged it to squeeze us in. Here's the kicker---All their furniture is in a warehouse in NJ. Still, it doesn't take 3 weeks to drive from NJ to here. When the 2 men who delivered the furniture came, they told my husband that they drove down here the previous night. I guess (I hope!) that Bif put them up in a hotel. They did a good job with the delivery. The desk had to be put together which they did very quickly. These 2 guys were the best part of the whole shopping experience. They have nice furniture, I'll give them that. We plan to buy more furniture for our place --- but not from Bif! Needless to say, we didn't like being jerked around like they did to us. If you buy furniture from them, know what you're getting into.

I do not think they really care about yelp reviews at all, I just wanted to share my experience so that you think before you leap. I would like to share my recent experience. I bought two designer chairs from them. The day I went for the delivery the sales person was too rude to co-operate. I had to wait about an hour, then they told me to bring my car at the back of their warehouse. Again I had to wait 30 more minutes to open the warehouse gate. I bought the top class furniture from them and was expecting such customer service. The sales team looks like they are too busy to fill up their sales but they do not care about the client after the  furniture is sold. Even they do not take the responsibility of the furniture when it is located in their warehouse. I do not think I would ever go to Bif for any of their furniture or products. Totally unacceptable service!

At first I wasn't so sure about furniture store due to its ratings, but I've been looking around to purchase the perfect single chair for my room and I think I just found the jackpot! With the help of my Sales Consultant Sarah, I was able to pick out the right type of chair. She even offered to adjust the type of leather and color that was more suitable for my room. All the way from Norway that aims to reduce stress, I'm looking forward to having it installed in my room. The selling point was that it was on a special deal for 20% off. The transaction was smooth and all of my questions and concerns were covered by Sarah. They have much more variety of products available such as sofas, bed frames, mattresses, dining tables, and much more! A huge shoutout to BiF and Sarah! Ask for her if you want quality, assured customer service!

Read 'un-recomend review' section there are lots of helpful reviews over there. we are working with the attorney and still fighting over with BIF to get our money back to selling damaged furniture and not returning my money back! We had to wait more than 5 months to get my funiture and we got all Damaged furniture and they said no return even though it's all damaged! Paying $$$$ money for damaged furniture? and they don't accept return? Who ever order the furniture from this store or waiting for delivery, DO NOT SIGN THE PAPER! you are putting your self into big trouble!! And they lie all the time! don't trust them. I think all the 5 stars reviewed were written by their worker. Read Google review also! this is worst store you would ever visit!

So felt should make others aware of it.The people who work here are very bad they do not know how to behave with customers. I bought a sofa here and did not like so trying to seeing if we have other options or exchanging it. After my mom purchasing nearly 15k in furniture from this place, our every move is followed by the sales woman. I kept trying to have a conversation and point out pieces to my mom, only to be interrupted and directed in the opposite direction to be shown a bed set which wasn't what we were there for. I love the furniture here, and my mother is big into contemporary esque style design, but sadly when we climbed into the car we came to the conclusion that this store has gone down hill. The customer service is overbearing, and I felt as though I was interrogated about everything excluding furniture as well as followed and micromanaged. The two stars is for the beautiful furniture.

RUDE and RACIST. I walked around this store for nearly 25 minutes and none of the staff bothered saying hello or asking if needed information on any of the furniture. I counted 5 staff that was not doing anything except avoiding eye contact with me. I guess because I'm black I am invisible to them. I left and I certainly would never give them any of my money. There are better furniture stores out there with higher quality furniture and better customer service.

BIF became the EXCELENT one stop shop for furnishing our entire home with elegant, well-made contemporary furniture after our recent move to Northern Virginia with expert and responsive guidance from salewoman Sarah Kim. Many of our traditional furnishings no longer fit in our large modern new home. Most competing furniture stores had 8 to 12 month wait times for inferior products when BIF offered immediate delivery for some items out of current inventory at very fair prices. I was a little wary after reading multiple Yelp complaints about delivery delays, communication barriers and product flaws. However they delivered as promised including three sofa's (two leather sectionals), a sleek Italian bedroom set, marble dinette table and chairs, handsome coffee table, sylish bench, exquisite media cabinet, and Scandnavian recliner so comfortable that everyone fights to sit in it. Sarah Kim served as our advocate to get the best prices and early delivery times that resulted in full furnishing within about three months with most pieces arriving far sooner. Her able delivery team was skilled when assembling pieces onsite and careful to protect our walls and carpet when intalling furniture upstairs and down. When we encountered a function issue with one leather sectional, BIF delivered a replacement section that matched perfectly in about one week. Delivery of these quality products and service from European sources in such a quick timeframe is remarkable even in non-COVID pandemic times. Thus I highly recommend BIF and Ms Sarah Kim if you are furnishing a single room or an entire home for a gorgeous look at affordable prices.

A disappointment on. Customer services we ordered a $4000 chair and I had to call to find out delivery info. Then when it did arrive for delivery the called to let need know they world be there in an hour. We where also told that they would bit together the chair I in the store instead they assembled it at our house and had no idea what they were doing. Very disappointing services for the amount of purchase

I can write a 10 page essay about all the lies and deceit I endured from these folks. -References to voicemail they never left - Calls never returned - scheduled deliveries that never took place - and worst of all the lies and lack of acknowledgment of wrong doing. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY DOESN'T STAND BY ITS PRODUCTS!!! The furniture is gorgeous but the people who work there are terrible and the company does not stand behind its furniture at all. We bought a wonderful Natuzzi http://www.natuzzi.com/ sofa which after only a few months developed a small crack in the leather. We expected the company to send someone out to fix it, especially as there is a two year warranty on cushioning, stitching suspension system webbing, and the leather against tearing and splitting. After weeks of back and forth Richard, the sales person we were dealing with, just decided that BIF was not going to honor our warranty. We had bought 3 beautiful pieces from this high-end store but NEVER again.

I believe BIF store in VA is most honest and giving customers most accurate price. I recommend BIF if you want to shop furnitures. i have no idea why customers rate this place with low stars but I believe this is once again the most fair place.

If I could give this place a negative star I would! These agents do nothing but lie! I went in with 2 others to purchase a simple couch for a new home and we found a medium quality convertible sofa. The sales person told us it was just opened, brand new and a great deal. We received the standard sales tactic 30% off and were told the shipping was free. Next thing we know, that sales rep disappears and the second one tries to also tell us she can give us a great deal of 30% off but then told us WE were lying about the free shipping. Eventually they agreed to sell us the couch at the 30% discount with the free shipping. They deliver the couch today except it is NOT the couch we purchased. They sent an old floor model of the couch that was clearly old and lumpy. When we contacted the store they told a completely fabricated story of how I had made a separate arrangement with the sales person to take the old couch. False! They then told us the new couch is already sold and that they would need to speak with the manager to confirm if we could even get the couch we purchased. Luckily, we had taken a photo of the couch to send to a family member for opinion to prove the correct one but they are still sticking to their clear fabrication in an attempt to get rid of trashy old furniture at full cost. Completely disgusting tactic. DO NOT SHOP HERE! The quality is mediocre and the customer service is absolute garbage.

If I could give zero stars I would. Never buy from this place. After spending a lot of money, we received the wrong fabric on a few items and when we complained they did nothing about it. They refuse to give any refunds or store credit, instead, just ignore your phone calls and emails. When we finally decided we were tired of dealing with them, we asked them to at least provide the ONE missing pillow. Of course they didn't believe us and continuously claimed that they did deliver it, when in fact they didn't. Customer satisfaction is something that's clearly foreign to them if they will argue this much over one pillow. Our initial order was placed in September 2013, we received the missing pillow in March 2014. This place is a joke and unfortunately we made the mistake of thinking they were a legitimate furniture store.

We ordered a Lamp on 11-27-13 with Sales person Richard. We called on 12-15-13 & were told to pick it up on 12-20-13. Today, we received a call from Richard telling us that the product had been discontinued. 1. What kind of a 'high-end' store is this to employ such incompetent staff? 2. How do you wait for a month to let us know that a product we ordered & told that was shipped to store has been discontinued?

When it was less than 1 year old our expensive Ekornes leather couch was peeling. Bif wanted us to believe this was our problem, that somehow we were responsible through poor cleaning methods. Expert Leather Technician sent by Bif/Ekornes found that problem was inherent to the product, not owner's fault. Once problem was identified the solution was to replace all areas the technician found to be problematic due to problem with the leather dying process. It is now 2 years since we began the process of making the couch right. We believe we have been very patient, sending kind reminders when time had past and there wasn't any updates from Bif. Finally we believed the last repairs were complete! Then we started noticing that the colors of the headrests did not match. Did they replace both headrests? Did they have 2 different colors? Then we noticed another spot on the couch was peeling. We contacted the manager Alicia and she didn't know what had been replaced. She'd get back to us in a couple of days. Well then came the news that no, only 1 headrest was replaced. The other one would be replaced shortly. We wanted to work with Bif/Ekornes on this problem. We were patient for 2 years. We are pretty confident that the couch will never be right, that the Ekornes leather (at least in the brown color) is not dyed for long term use. After much frustration we are now working with Better Business Bureau to resolve this nightmare.

We recently purchased two lamps from Alicia. One of the lamps' light switch does not work. Alicia stated that we should take it to an electrician for repair. We insisted that BIF repair it at their time and expense. BiF refuses to repair the defective product that was purchased recently. 1. The store manager is rude. She yelled over the phone due to that she thought we didn't confirm the delivery.---The fact is we called store and one of store employee didn't pass the massage to the proper party. 2. We bought same bookcases in a different store in MD. It was much cheaper and it was delivered smoothly and quickly. 3. This time with BIF. we bought 3 more due to the other store no longer carry this bookcase. Today is their second delivery due to two missing parts and 2 damgered shelves. They brought the 2 pieces to fixed the damaged one, but forgot to bring the 2 missing parts. We have to wait the the third delivery.

I have been looking at Natuzzi Editions sectionals and reached out to Deborah at BIF for a quote. Deborah quoted me at "$10006 with Le Mans 15 CW leather grade (smooth bone/ off white leather). but I can give you special discount (20-30% off) if you buy through me." She called me a couple of days later to see if I wanted to buy the sofa, I explained that I had a quote at under $6000 for the exact same set. Her immediate answer was "I can match that". I declined, she said "I can match that and give you free delivery". I asked why she didn't quote me her lowest price to start with. The answer was "we are a furniture dealer"... I guess that means see what the traffic will bear. I purchased from Hamilton's Sofa and Leather Gallery in Falls Church - at $5850. Paul Sneed - low pressure, great pricing up front, no games.

I would say this store is just to look at the different types of contemporary furniture but it is not the place to shop.The customer service sucksI bought an expensive bed room set.Paid half of the amount in August 2010,received defective piece in december 2010 by paying the full amount.From then on i have been calling them..All the store staff are arrogant and never give proper response.Finally 3 months back they said they will replace the furniture.They schedule delivery every week and they never turn up.when i call them they re-schedule.now it is almost 10 months i did not receive correct piece nor they returned my money.(the price of furniture is about 5 grand for just the bed)Iam very much frustated with them. My advise would be never ever buy from them,that is not the place to buy anything if you want peace of mind. Please do not buy anything from them!!! Save yourself!

After 30 days passed, I still had not been contacted about the bedroom set I already paid for, and I had to call them directly to be told that my order was sitting idly in the warehouse. I took a day off from work to wait for the order. The time window I scheduled came and went, and when I called to check where the drivers were, I was told they were running late and would be arriving in an hour or two. My building does not accept delivery at 6:00, and I had to cancel. They promised to call me back in a few days to reschedule. I waited another week for the call that never came. I called in again to schedule delivery, and was assured me that my delivery would be the first of the day. The scheduled time has once again passed, and I still don't have the bed that I paid for two months ago. They seem not to care, offering lukewarm apologies and saying there was nothing they could do. STAY AWAY. Go with PotteryBarn or Crate & Barrel.

Overall very poor quality store. If you are lucky you may get something that will not require the repair as Lamps or small chair. However you never know. The stuff speaks politely but really has nothing behind. No expertise and knowledge. You can not return anything because under any circumstances as soon as they take your money you are done and on your own. I am not sure how they can maintain the business. The only way is - their products are highly overpriced and their expenses are low. Therefore they always have some margin of profit taking into account that their expenses are 2 fast speaking woman who really can not do much beside smiling and to rent the space. Problem on-going for over 3 years. Poor Customer Service! Incompetence! Defective Product! I do not recommend buying anything from BIF based on how poorly I have been treated. I currently have a defective sectional that cost me several thousand dollars that I have been trying to get BIF to fix for over 3 years. I have lost all patience and will be seeking a legal remedy. In November 2010, I ordered a Lazar Kubix Sectional from BIF in Fairfax, VA. The BIF sales representative advised the material I picked out was made in Italy and shipped to the U.S. for manufacture of the sectional. The sectional arrived in January or February of 2011. After a few days I was totally disappointed in the quality of the sectional. I contacted the sales representative at BIF and explained that the sectional cushion cores would not rise after someone sat on the sofa. This made the sectional look like it had craters in the cushions. After several phone and email conversations back and forth, BIF ordered another set of cushion cores. In November 2011, I contacted BIF to ask about the cushion cores that had not been delivered. The BIF sales representative responded, "I have contacted the factory and am also checking my warehouse. I know it was ordered." Two days later the BIF sales representative responded with "Your cushion cores are in our warehouse. I apologize, I was not informed that they had not already been changed out for you." The replacement cushion cores were delivered on November 22, 2011. I thought finally a year after ordering my sectional I can actually enjoy sitting on it. Wrong! I could immediately tell that the new cushion cores responded the same way as the original cushion cores. As soon as I sat on the sofa, I sank down and when I got up there was an indentation or imprint where I had been sitting. I decided to take pictures and experiment to see how long the indentations would remain in the cushions. I told my family not to sit on one end of the section one weekend. I sat on the sofa for 5 minutes and then got up. I confirmed the indentation was in the cushion and over the course of the weekend the cushion did not rise. I took pictures of the misaligned seams on the cushions and the indentations that remained in the cushion days after sitting on the sectional. I emailed the pictures to the BIF sales representative and I received this response. "After carefully reviewing the new pictures with the cores replaced I cannot see a problem. It looks really good. If you would like I can have my Rep. call and speak to you." Immediately asked for the Lazar Representative to come look at the sectional and the cushion cores. The Lazar Representative arrived at my house to look at the sofa and immediately said there was a problem with the cushion cores. Lazar had found a manufacturing defect in the way the cushion cores were made for the Kubix Sectional. The Lazar Representative said that the cushion cores had been corrected and should have been sent with my original order. The corrected cushion cores were ordered in March 2012 for delivery to BIF with the BIF sales representative responsible for contacting me when they arrived so they could be changed out. Due to several medical conditions that my family had to deal with in 2012 and 2013, I did not follow up with BIF regarding the problems with the sectional. However, my point entirely is that when you spend several thousand dollars on a sectional from a company you should not have to follow up on replacement cushion cores for a defective sectional. Especially when the company states the following on there website: "Bif means "The Best Interior Furniture" and we offer the largest selection of contemporary furniture, and true customer service at very competitive prices." BIF obviously does not understand what customer service is and how customers should be treated regardless of how much was spent. Anyway, the last correspondence I had with the Lazar Representative in March 2014 confirmed the corrected cushion cores were sent to BIF. The BIF sales representative responded with the following "Your request to (the Lazar Representative) for replacement of the cushion cores was forwarded to our store. Our records indicate that on November 22, 2011 at the delivery time frame between 2:00 - 4:00PM your cores were changed out. Should you have any further questions please forward them to this email." I responded to BIF sales representative with the email that was sent to me and the BIF sales representative in March 2012, from the Lazar Representative confirming the corrected cushion cores were ordered and would be delivered to BIF for delivery to me. Naturally, I did not get any response from BIF. All I have received is no customer service and incompetence. I do not recommend anyone buy from BIF based on my experience.

I hardly ever write reviews but this place has horrible customer service. At first, they appeared to have good costumer service. I'll give them this, they have good high end furniture (let's wait till I actually have received the furniture to confirm). It took 3 months to actually get the furniture to the area. When it arrived and was ready for delivery they schedule the delivery for an upcoming Saturday. When I hadn't heard from them with a time for the delivery, they said I wasn't scheduled for delivery 10 days later, which is a Monday, and both my husband and I are at work. There was no help from the employee who simply told me I was not scheduled for delivery until later and they are full the day the delivery was supposed to be scheduled. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he would call me in 15-30 minutes. Of course, that didn't happen and when I called again later they said they were closed and they Informed me that the manager would call right back. To note, they purposely ignored by concerns and didn't call me so that they would be closed and didn't have to address my issue and their mistake. Didn't happen. Now I'm stuck with a pickup for my old couch and dining set which can't be cancelled and will have no furniture for 2 rooms for a period of time. Lastly, when you first go to the store and purchase your furniture, they are polite and speak coherently. However, when I called at anytime thereafter, the employees barely spoke English and couldn't communicate with basic words or understanding. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but avoid this place at all cost and go elsewhere.

The worst experience ever! BIF may have nice looking contemporary furniture but their customer service sucks! We ordered a bedroom furniture set back in November 2014. We were told that the item has to be shipped from Italy so our estimated arrival time will be 2nd week of February. I called the store and a guy told me that it won't be in until March 13,2015... Then when the day arrived still no signs of anyone from BIF telling us our furniture is in. I called and was told that it won't be in until the following Saturday and that they will call the day before to let us know when they'll come. Never got a call back and then we went thru this whole process two or three more times and by now it is end of March and we still didn't get our furniture and everytime we call its a different story of why we are not getting our furniture. Our rep was Sarah. We confronted her and she kept denying and lying to us about why our furniture is not in yet. This is beyond ridiculous. I would not recommend to anyone

I would have thought that you would get great customer service at a high-end store like BIF. The beautiful contemporary furniture is definitely high-quality. However, if you make a purchase here, just hope you do not have any problems after-the-fact. The customer service was unprofessional, lacked integrity, was fraught with pointing fingers, misleading information and downright lies. Truly appalling - especially given the relatively simple fix. Strongly recommend you stick to BOVA - or head to DC or Maryland for similar offerings.

We bought a expensive bed this spring. the salesperson gave us wrong size regarding the bed (we bought king size which wasn't in the show room) and then denied what he said when the bed was delivered to our house. an important piece of it was damaged on delivery. they claim they will replace it. but until now we have never received anything from them. It's been almost a year already. every time we call them they just asked us to wait patiently. Don't buy from them!!!

Had great experience buying since the store wanted our money. The bed split at the headboard 6 months later. We tried to replace/return. Took another 5 months to mail us a piece which was poorly installed. We asked to return the item since it had warranty but the store manager and the rest of the staff ignored us and did not return calls or e-mails. We got stuck with a broken piece after the assistant manager of the store basically told us to go F$@k ourselves.

I do not recommend this store. I had terrible experience with them. I ordered a Natuzzi Savoy sectional in August last year. Unfortunately, the sales person - Richard - made a mistake and instead of the unit that I had selected - the one that they had on display - ordered me a different unit - a corner unit. The store refused to rectify the mistake and suggested that I sell the unit on e-bay?!! This is the first time in my experience that a store is treating a customer in that way. After reading the reviews on this page I realized that my case is not an exception but rather a rule for this store!!! They need a better manager and better trained sales people. They are making costly mistakes for which customers have to pay for.

I went to the BIF furniture showroom in Fairfax and they have the best quality contemporary furniture that I have seen in Virginia. The prices are very reasonable and the saleswoman was extremely friendly. She recommended a Sealy mattress and now I sleep very comfortably at night. I highly recommend BIF furniture and Sarah, the saleswoman. Though she is not fluent in English, she was very efficient and helpful.

Ensure you are happy with the very expensive items you purchase, because there is a no-return policy for a "used" item even though it was purchased just a few days earlier. Very disappointing for such a seemingly nice store.

The After-Service is WORST. I bought a Natuzzi sofa and found a few problems with sofa later so I contacted the store and the sales person did not return my call. Therefore, I had to go to the store. Since then there was no follow-up call from the store. I had to contact the president of BIF one month ago, and I haven't received any call from BIF nor service. Everytime I called them, I have to explain what happend and they never give me call back. It seems that they sell the furniture and they don't care about after-service at all. I would not recommend BIF to anyone.

I have used yelp for a few years now but have never felt compelled to write a review before, that is until going to bif furniture in Fairfax, VA. If I could give them zero stars I most certainly would. Their horrendous customer service and just utter disrespect to their customers make this the absolute WORST purchasing experience I have ever had to endure. Like Jaya H. I bought a expensive piece of furniture and the sales man ordered the wrong one. I told them I was willing to exchange it for the item I wanted and they reluctantly agreed however they wanted ME to take the item back to their store myself for a mistake THEY made! After many arguments that went nowhere, I decided to just take it back for a refund and be done with it. When I arrive with the item at the store I am stopped at the door by the "manager" who refuses to take it back citing that he was not the person I spoke to over the phone and he does not want to be held responsible in case anything was broken during shipping. Finally after carefully inspecting the item and signing a piece of paper saying I will be held responsible in case anything was damaged, I was able to leave the item there. I still have yet to be credited back with my money. Honestly do not know how these scum stay in business. Run away as fast as you can!!!!
