Biff Burger & Buffy's BBQ

Just as good as in the past and offering a modern menu selection. Ordered two hamburger platters, both were absolutely delicious. Food was cooked to order and well worth the short wait. Biff Burger continues to be infamous among St. Pete and Pinellas county residents operating for a number of decades. Visitors that enjoy wings, burgers, and a unique old Florida atmosphere should stop by and check them out.

For those who likes American food Biff Burger & Buffy's BBQ is the place to enjoy a good hamburger southern style french fries and beans southern style. You will feel good at the end of your dinner. If you are an adult add a bear and enjoy your time at open space with good music, an excellent service and nice neighbors. Good vibe and nice decoration making this location special.

I feel bad giving this place a 3, but at the same time not sure its truly a 4. 3.5 would be the best. I think there ia definitely alot of potential over all but maybe during the day its a little "wasted". The atmosphere is pretty cool, now while i unsertand its basically and indoor/outdoor place as its all open, i do feel there may have bee a couple more flys then i would of been comfortable seeing. Understanding its open you wpuld expect that, however the flys however over the drink and foods areas almost leading me to believe they werent cleanes properly. I didnt notice a few od the sitting areas had dries spills and liquods that were not wiped down and was a clear sign of the the flys sitting on it.The bar tender waa super potlie and nice but i wouls of wished she introduced herself so i knew her name. For being there at 130pm and it being as dead as it was i was surprised at how often the server disappeared. I order a bacond cheese deluxe well done. The burger itself was cooked perfectly but i had scarps of bacon on it. I didnt even had full strips it looked and tasted like pieces at the bottom of a pan. Almost like bacon bits. I with the bacon quality was better. I would definitely go back.....but it wouldn't be 1 of my first choices.

The food was good but that is where the compliments end unfortunately.... the menu online is misleading because the prices are actually 3x as high. Their drive thru speaker does not work well and the staff cannot hear the order without you yelling and repeating multiple times. After fighting through trying to place our order they got itwrong and we were missing items... we were over charged. Especially for their maccoroni and cheese side which was $4 for their regular size. It was a small condiment cup with a lid (see picture)... if you go I recommend only getting burgers and maybe fried but only if they can hear you (based on price and portion size). The regular and large side of fries had approximately .30 cent difference and they conveniently gave us a regular size plain fries when we ordered large Cajun style fries. Also beware we were not given a receipt upon receiving our food.

Underwhelmed is a word I never knew existed until today. We picked Biff Burger over several other choices for lunch today and believe me I regret it. I am a foodie that loves eating where the locals eat so I gave it a try. The person at the counter struggled with our simple order of a mushroom burger combo with tots and a tenderloin combo with tots and a drink. They argued with us over using a hundred dollar bill and even went as far to say that we weren't getting served because they did not have change for the cash we attempted to pay with. The food was prepared in an acceptable amount of time but did not come out prepared correctly. The mushroom burger had a bottom bun that literally could have been rung out like a dish rag from the wet mushroom and onion topping they dumped on it. I ordered a tenderloin combo wth tots and Mountain Dew and asked for cheese, onion and pickle on the tenderloin. I received what looked like a very small, previously frozen, possibly breaded piece of pork with two cups of shredded lettuce on top and a side of house cut potato chips. I went back and waited 5-10 minutes for my tater tots that were actually the saving grace of the meal. We spent $25 for two people to have a very disappointing meal and to top it off it was very obvious that no one behind that counter cared about what was being served in that kitchen during my visit. I was not going to leave a review because of the poor experience I had today but felt it needed done so maybe they will see the impression they left on this customer from Sarasota. P.S. I will give them another chance in the future to show me why they have been a local favorite for so many years and I will revise/update my review. An employee of the company actually talked to me before I left and truly conveyed to me my experience was not a typical one at their restaurant. He was not working behind the counter and did offer to remake our food and even offered me a milkshake to help the situation. I simply wanted what I ordered, prepared correctly and nothing more.

The place was half full when we got there in the afternoon. Most of the folks here were seniors. The wait staff was a bit slow and drinks are served in to go cups. Our burgers had shredded cheese on them that wasn't melted. The fries and tater tots were average as well as the burger. My bun was soggy on the bottom of my mushroom burger. I only ate half and threw out the rest. When we got home, we both got ill and spent a LOT of time in the bathroom. I don't know if there was anything wrong with the food bacteria wise or if it was just the grease that hit us wrong. It just wasn't a pleasant experience. It looks like a lot of seniors like this place and they do have live music. Sitting outdoors on picnic benches was pretty fun. I just don't think my tummy can handle you Biff..

So this is my tater tots i ordered! They are as hard as a hockey puck and i didnt even attempt to eat one because of how hard they are. My burger was missing pickles and the bun was cold and oldly enough even though i saw the burger on the grill it wasnt even hot itself! There was nobody at drive thru honked 2 times no response, so i had to go inside there was nobody inside the diner so i had to walk outside to the bar just to ask if the inside was even open and serving food even though the sign said open there was no lights on inside so it looked closed. I paid $20 bucks for 2 burgers 2 drinks and those rock hard tater tots. This is NOT the same establishment that i remember going to when i was a little girl! Way down hill which is upsetting because i was really looking forward to my dinner from there tonight. I for sure would NOT recommend dining here unless they go back to their old ways. The car show wasn't even going on there. This used to be a really cool place to be at on Friday nights with your family and it's a shame that its nowhere near the same. I would honestly give it a negative star if possible but its not. It also use to be a really good value for your money when it came to prices for eating out here but thats not even the same either. Very disappointing and dont intend on going back!

This was my 5th time here. They have a nice little car show every Friday and Bike nite on Saturdays. They have live music and great BBQ also. The staff is friendly.
