Biff’s Bistro is a fantastic spot for a casual and wonderful dining experience. I visited during Summerlicious with a friend and was impressed by their new location, especially since I hadn’t been there for many years. We sampled the mussels and burrata appetizer, enjoyed the steak main course, and finished with desserts from the Summerlicious menu—all were delicious. The food lived up to my memories, and the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the great atmosphere. Summerlicious offered excellent value, making it the perfect time to revisit this favorite bistro. Go there. Eat there. LOVE IT THERE!

Had a great experience for lunch! The service was fast and the staff kept double checking on us. They have a $40 prix fixe menu. My favourite was the smoked salmon crepe. The patio is small but very beautifully decorated and has shade.

We came here to try the Summerlicious menu—I went with the beef steak for my main, and we shared the appetizers and desserts. The steak was honestly spot on. A lot of places tend to overcook medium rare, but this one was done perfectly—exactly how I like it. If I had to nitpick, I do wish the outside had a bit more of that crusty, charred finish for extra texture and flavour, but still, really well done. Desserts were solid too. The standout for me was the chocolate cake—it had this smooth coffee mousse layered inside that made it extra special. Would happily come back just for that. Would I come back again? For the food portion, quality and price, probably not. :( but overall still a good experience.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at Biff's Bistro. The food was so flavorful and rich The service was very attentive and kind (thank you Kate!). We look forward to coming back and trying more French specialties of their menu. Highly recommended !

Enjoyed a very nice steak, my wife a the coq au vin, both were very delicious and the portions were good. Our waitress was attentive. Would go back.

Hugo was such an amazing server. We tried their lunch summerlicous menu. From the service to the food it was such a great experience. The escargot on the a la carte menu is a must try.

We shared our 1 year anniversary here and Katarina was lovely! Ontop of our outstanding food- steak frites and mushroom risotto, with escargot as our appetizer- she also made our experience at Biff Bistro amazing. The environment is genuine and a breathe of fresh air in downtown Toronto. We will definitely be back!

Food at biff’s is some of the best French food I’ve ever had. Everything is done so well and they execute some of the classics to perfection. The mussels in white wine sauce is incredible; it’s a must have for anyone that likes sea food. The sauce is so good you can drink it and you’ll definitely want to dip bread in it. Steak frites is also fantastic. I don’t know what they fry their frites in but they’re thin, crispy and full of flavour. Steak was also cooked to perfection

Yelp
First time visiting @biffsbistro by @oliverbonacini. A very comfortable and relaxed restaurant, serving classic French cuisine in a casual dining room and seasonal sidewalk patio. I don't know why I never visited them before so when someone suggested an outing there, I was like why not? It was too hot to sit outside so we opted for the beautiful dining room. Food wise, it started out great with the appetizers. The onion soup was well executed and is one of their most popular dish. The mussels were good portion and tasty yet I found the broth kind of salty. Afterwards for our mains, some slight misses execution wise. Everyone's steak was ordered medium rare but served kind of rare. It was also kind of chewy but overall, not a really big deal. It looks like the dishes may have been prepared in advance and could have been heated more, especially for the Cornish hen but the flavour was there. Dessert such as the poached Niagara apricots could have benefited with some creme anglaise or ice cream and we wish it was more colder but overall, it was still yummy. I really liked the pistachio crumble. Gateau Mocha, can never resist a chocolate cake. Despite the slight mishaps, it was still overall a good experience. Our waitress Miranda made our dining experience super enjoyable as she was very attentive and friendly. @biffsbistro also offers affordable prix fixe throughout the yea. Overall, definitely a revisit for me in the near future. Follow me #CameraFirst to see where I go eat next.

Yelp
An O&B bistro with happy hour and prix fixe 3 course dinner menu at a great location. Happy hour is up to 6pm and have discounted drinks and 50% off oysters and bottled wines. 3 course dinner at 64$ - we ordered Caesar salad and French onion soup as appetizers, flat iron steak and mushroom risotto as entrees, and crème brûlée and chocolate brownie as desserts. So, our recommendation from these selections are the French onion soup (very cheesy and rich broth, delicious!), steak (highlight is the cow fat fries), and the brownie! Service is excellent! Restaurant is beautiful and relaxing, and right across from meridian hall. Great little restaurant before catching a show!

Yelp
the worst dinning experience i have ever had. i waited one hour for one duck. i could have cooked it myself faster. i was with a group and everyone ate at different times due poor service. no apologies from waiter. he had oily hair. it was a wednesday night and not busy. there is no excuse for waiting one hour at any time. do not dine here. i was still hungry, i did not want to wait forever again. my guest ordered trout that took one hour. i think the cook went to the lake to fish for it. the waiter was barely around. i have eaten at many places for many years and never waited one hour on a slow night. i went to Dbar Four Seasons and had dessert and was treated like a king... give this place a huge Noooooooooooooooo !!!!!

Yelp
A nice intimate spot, especially convenient if you are attending a show/game nearby! I had a gift card to O&B to use, and was able to grab a reservation for dinner here. Upon entering, I noticed the combination of vibes coming together - there was a bar area that seemed more casual, the main dining room, and a private area toward the back. We waited while the table was set up and the staff made sure to check on us while that was going on. We ordered the following: - Espresso Martini + Dark & Stormy - Steak Frites - 8oz strip loin - Biff's Fixe - Salad + Trout + Creme Brulee I had the steak frites and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. It was tender and juicy, with a very generous portion of fries. I did think it was on the salty side but otherwise it was great. The trout was great as well, I really liked the combinations and textures that the beans, polenta, almonds and capers created. The creme brulee was good too, with the vanilla custard and the warm caramelized sugar. Overall a good experience here - ask about the parking deal if you are driving!

Yelp
A nice restaurant always filled with people in suits and dressed nicely! Here is what we got: - Duck and pork rillettes - the pate at top was nice and smooth, the bottom part was a bit on the drier side. Maybe mixing the two components would help - Shrimp and smoked salmon tartine - this was amazing. Super tasty and my fave dish - Braised beef cheek - this was tender and juicy as they cooked it for a long time - Escalope de veau - nice and crispy - Cassis Bavarois - light mousse texture with a fruity taste - Flourless chocolate tarte - this was a bit on the harder side but taste wise, it's perfect if you want something decadent I recommend making a reservation because it seems to get busy at night!

Yelp
Came here for Winterlicious dinner and ordered: Chicken Veloute + Grilled Sea Bream + Flourless Chocolate Torte Duck & Pork Rillettes + Braised Beef Cheeks + Maple Chomeur The chicken veloute was a consomme like soup. I really enjoyed it as it was on the rich side, with some shredded chicken meat and bits of crisped chicken skin. It was on the salty side though. We were surprise with how big the portion was for the foie gras and pork pate. I really like how the pate had a chunky texture to it (due to the pork). The sea bream meat was delicate and the skin was crispy. The fish was paired with a citrus infused tabbouleh, which was very refreshing! The beef cheek was tender and Biff was generous with the meat. My dining companion really enjoyed the crispy russet potatoes. I'm not a big dessert person, so both dessert didn't really give me a "wow" factor. However, between the two, I enjoyed the torte more due to the peanut butter mousse. And it was significantly less sweet than the maple chomeur. The ambience was very romantic and our server was very cheerful. Overall, a very positive experience!

Yelp
An arm of the Oliver and Bonacini chain, Biff's does not disappoint! Located right across from the Meridian Center, directly on Front street, the restaurant offers convenient underground parking that is $3 with restaurant authorization code. I went on a group date night and we were so well taken care of. The bartender JP is sweet, friendly and so nice! Really enjoyed the french onion soup, steak frites and multiple desserts....but best of all, were the drinks!! The Avion En Papier cocktail, SOOOOO good! You all have to come down and give Biff's a try. The right level of fancy with the right level of fun!

Yelp
I ordered the Loup de Mer (sea bass) and it was pretty good. I wish the lemon flavor was more pronounced though (I love citrus!). The fish was good, but I would not order it again. I tried my fiancé's Truite Amandine (rainbow trout) and it was sooo much better! The brown butter almond sauce paired so nicely with the fish! If I could go back in time, this would be the entree I ordered!

Yelp
Great service, lovely ambience, nice patio, delicious food - what's not to like about this restaurant? The patio makes you feel like you're dining on the street of Paris, with Parisian-style cafe tables, cute pink and light blue tablecloths, and string lights that make the patio look so pretty as the evening rolls in. The interior looks posh - just like any nice French restaurant with a full bar. Service was very attentive and friendly - what you'd expect from a French or up-scale restaurant. The food is also excellent. All the dishes that we ordered (both the appetizers and mains) came out in a timely manner, and they all tasted delectable. They tend to change their menu items based on what ingredients are in season. When we went in the summer, it was asparagus season so we had asparagus in 3 different ways: asparagus salad, grilled asparagus, and as part of the pâtes (tagliatelle pasta with asparagus, peas, cured egg yolk, and gremolata). Each one was very distinct and different (e.g. the asparagus in the salad was shaved and pickled green asparagus, the grilled asparagus appetizer used big white asparagus, and the one in the tagliatelle pasta was the small and much thinner asparagus type). We also had Escargot de Bourgogne (loved the garlic butter flavour infused in the escargot), Loup de Mer (sea bass came with crispy skin and pretty big portion - loved the piperade or mix of bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes that came with the fish), and Moules à la Provençale (can never go wrong with a big pot of mussels bathed in tomatoes & garlic!). The milk bread that came with the escargot was really good - came out warm, soft in the inside, and rich (perfect for dipping in the garlic butter with the escargot). The mussels came with baguette slices that were nicely toasted. The portion sizes of the sides were big as well (Charred Broccolini and Roasted Mushrooms were really well done - loved the charred marks from the grill, and slightly crispy texture of both the broccolini and mushrooms). Overall, Biff's Bistro hits the spot for a nice French dining experience, whether you sit inside or outside. But the patio in summer months sure makes you feel like you're in Paris for the evening.

Yelp
Went for their Summerlicious menu. Front of house staff were exceptional, efficient. professional and menu knowledgeable. Nice decor with tables sufficiently spaced apart. Patio seating available but we decided to sit inside. Appetizers- pork terrine & heirloom tomato tart. Very flavorful and exceptionally cooked/presented Entrees- lamb & pork chop. The lamb was pre-sliced, tender and juicy. The pork chop was approx 1 inch thick, juicy and cooked perfectly, kudos to the chef. Finished meal off with a cream caramel and cherry compte, again both excellent Why can't Summerlicious be all year round, oh well, will patiently wait for the next summer to come around again

Yelp
Hi and restaurant in Toronto, Canada. Couple blocks from the train station. Seemed fancy at first, but we saw lots of people in casual clothes. Food was very good, and expensive.

Yelp
We were a large group of 14 people and had a private room. Service was very good. Our servers were friendly and efficient, even got us laughing. Courses came out at a good pace and everything was served hot. French onion soup was pretty good - very cheesy. Overall a nice time.

Yelp
Came here for a quick celebration with my friends and the food did not disappoint at all. The set menu provided a lot of food and I was plenty full coming out of it. The liver parfait was large, and they could have added more slice of bread for that. The service was a bit disappointing, as I had to wave down the waiter multiple times and he wasn't really paying attention. The location itself is lovely. Indoor or outdoor dining is available, and the two sides are very different. Indoor is the dim, quiet settings. While the outdoors is lively with louder music.

Yelp
With the help of the Fairmount Hotel concierge we chose to have dinner at this French Bistro Biffs. The restaurant has that traditional French bistro cuisine appearance with a cozy comfortable appeal. We decided to be seated by the bar area where it seemed to be less busy and quieter from the noisy dining room. We ordered cocktails from the bar before reviewing the menu. I found the well drinks to be skimpy measured shots. Their menu highlighted selections included braised rabbit, steak frites and bouillabaisse. I decided to order the onion soup as an appetizer which was different than I ever had in other Bistro's. And I ordered the lamb burger has an entrée which I enjoyed very much. Overall I thought that the restaurant was good, but not as good as French Bistro's that I have dined in the greater New York area. I also thought the restaurant was quite pricey, but that is probably understandable since they are in a high rent area of Metropolitan Toronto.

Yelp
Stopped by quickly for happy hour- $2 oysters with a bottle of wine! Also tried the Steak Tartare as well but it was a bit too much mustard and spicy. Oysters were very fresh and cold!

Yelp
We had a phenomenal dinner at Biff's. Loved everything- the music, the atmosphere (we've been to France, they nailed the bistro atmosphere), the service, the wine, the food! Even the eclectic mismatched silverware. We started with oysters and a great bottle of red (to go with the food later but it was sooo yummy) and moved onto apps: foie tarte and escargots. The bun served with was light and crisp. Perfect. Hubby had the steak frites with a tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Fries were on point and the green beans were perfectly tender-crisp. I had the ris de veau app as my main (having just been at a resort where this request would throw them into a tailspin...) this was perfectly timed with the other main. Excellent texture and it was a great size as a small main! We wanted to try the opera cake but somehow had the apple tarte and weren't mad about it. There's a yummy custard layer and beautiful apples on top. Definitely will return!

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday and absolutely loved the fancy and relaxed decor perfect for a small celebration over some good food! We also had the escargot, oysters, tenderloin, and some desserts! The waiter brought out the desserts with a candle which was super cute! All in all the food was great and the service was excellent, would come back again for a nice sit down dinner!

Yelp
During winterlicious, this was the restaurant I was most excited for! The menu looked so delicious and I would have to say after eating here, it's one of my new fav dining spots to visit. The food was amazing! The French onion soup was delicious and that alone will have me coming back for more. I ended up ordering the Walnut crusted chicken which was good.. But I was in loved with my husband's pork shoulder entree. It was heavenly and super tender! We both enjoyed our food and agreed that we would love to come back here for dinner+show. The reason for the star loss? The dessert was just incredibly rich to the point it was sort of not the best way to end the meal. I'm talking about the chocolate cake. It sort of ended us on a little bit of a downward spiral with the foodgasms. But, I would still come back here and explore the regular menu, in fact I look forward to it!
google avatar

Yelp
*Winterlicious review* This is apparently a reputable French bistro in downtown and it more or less delivered. Place was busy when we got there and service was friendly. Menu included an app, main, and dessert and I was quite satisfied with my choices. Food came out quickly and the portions were right because I wasn't stuffed at the end of the meal. 1. APP: GOAT CHEESE & PHYLLO - whipped honey, thyme butter, chicory 2. MAIN: HERITAGE SALMON - piperade, couscous, Provençal olives, saffron velouté 3. DESSERT: FRENCH CUSTARD TART - cinnamon streusel, mulled wine cranberries 3.5 stars. Would recommend.

Yelp
Came here for their summerlicious 2022 dinner menu. Appetizers were the tomato tart and pea soup. Mains were the poached arctic char and lamb. Desserts were the cherry clafoutis and caramel creme. Service was great, as was the ambiance. Among the items we got, I think the best combination if you eat meat would be the tomato tart, lamb, and clafoutis (delicious if you like cherries). The char could have used some more flavour. Also got the Bridgette Bardot drink, which had a slightly spicy mixed with watermelon candy flavour. I would come back again to try their regular menu.

Yelp
Loved this cozy restaurant! Our food and drinks were excellent along with the service. Highly recommend dining here!

Yelp
Had the burger. It was average and not the caliber That I would expect from a restaurant if this quality and price point. Patty was shaped as if it was purchased.

Yelp
My husband and I were strolling the downtown area on Saturday evening and decided to find an oyster spot. Used OpenTable to grab a reservation and were there within 15 min on the patio enjoying a drink! Biff's had a buck-a-shuck deal which was amazing. We ordered 18 to start and they were delish! I'm currently cutting out carbs so I opted for the lamb burger with no bun and salad instead of the fries. The server was happy with my requests. My husband ordered the steak which was a bit much for only 6oz ($39). Other than that the ambiance was great and we were socially distanced from other patrons. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Yelp
We came here for dessert to finish the night. The desert was good, not great. The vibe of this restaurant was great, very French. The patio at this restaurant is great with good views of downtown Toronto. The wait staff is very nice, but not super attentive. Cute place, would somewhat recommend. If I could give it 3.5 Stars I would.

Yelp
Winterlicious 2020 Dinner $43 App: French onion soup Main: Pork shoulder Dessert: custard tart Overall, the food was too salty for my taste (French onion soup and pork shoulder). French food is on the more flavorful side. The French onion soup felt great from the cold weather. The pork shoulder was VERY tender and juicy. The custard tart was AMAZING - crispy on the outer layer and sweetness for the custard was just right! Atmosphere was enjoyable with dimmed lights and there were one candle per table (perf for the candle lit romantics). It wasn't very loud either which is great to have conversations. Staff was very helpful with the menu as they all had a tasting so their recommendations were useful and insightful. I was greeted with a very nice waiter which helped us checked in our coats. The overall experience was great at this French fine dining cuisine.

Yelp
I was very pleasantly surprised with my visit to Biff's Bistro. The service was fantastic, and the portions were good. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, given the reviews and ratings. We ordered french onion soup and the octopus and chorizo salad as appetizers. Both were delicious, and the salad was much larger than anticipated (it could definitely be a main rather than an appy). We ordered the cheese and charcuterie platter, which was also massive - I would say it would be good for 4 people. The meat and cheese is made in house. The honey it was served with was fantastic! Finally, the duck confit was our main dish to share. We were so full by this point that we ended up taking home a good portion of it (which was delicious the next morning)!

Yelp
A very nice bistro. Upscale atmosphere, soft 70s and 80s music in the background, outstanding service. Great place for a romantic dinner (or in my case with coworkers since that's who I'm with). Not really a fan of raw oysters, but these were decent. Steak frites (flat iron) was a great choice for a main. Nice size, and cooked almost perfectly to medium rare (was slightly less than med rare, but not much). It came with fries that were thin slightly salted and good enough to ensure I ate them all. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
Loved, loved, love Biff's Bistro. Romantic French restaurant that serves delicious escargot and a very decent wine list! The waitress was exceptionally helpful in educating us Californians on the French wines we were wanting to know more about. Her recommendations did not disappoint! We shut the place down, but there was no pressure on us to leave. We sat outside and made sure to leave a sizeable tip, proportionate to the service and quality of food and wine we received. Highly recommend Biff's for your next date night or special occasion. A must visit when you're visiting Toronto.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant right after the lockdowns had ended. You would think that the wait staff would be a lot more nicer and appreciate customers a tab bit more. But just because I ordered 1 drink and the Oysters I was not treated well. The waiter didn't bother to bring me any water. No bread at the table. When I ask why no bread at the table he stated 'This is a French restaurant.' Yikes so the French don't eat bread? The oysters where crap. Service was crap as well. The menu isn't really appealing. Just a pathetic attempt at a restaurant trying to be French, but not knowing the first thing about being French. I get better service at a take-out joint then this place. FYI. Biff try to be less condescending & maybe you'll all do better in the industry.

Yelp
This was quite an experience. I started off by looking for a great date night. And came across this place. I booked the reservation through OpenTable, and we're not travelling from too far away just from Markham. I had noticed that I received a missed call from the restaurant because we were a few minutes late and I did try and call back the restaurant about six or seven times with no answer. With that being said, I also went onto the website to see if there was an alternate contact number but there wasn't which then I noticed that it said the restaurant was closed... at this point we were already across the street so we figured we'll take a walk just to see what's going on. When we turned onto front Street, we noticed that the whole entire street was basically being demolished. There was construction everywhere and there was nowhere to park and it looked like the whole street and all the restaurants were closed. We then walked up to the restaurant and noticed other people sitting inside, so we figured that they were open. Instantly when we walked in the ambiance was great the vibe was amazing and we were seated at our table. Our waiter was absolutely amazing and he was super helpful with everything on the menu. He gave us some great recommendations on wine, which worked out to be perfect. I ordered the braised chicken which was amazing definitely 10 out of 10 recommend, and my boyfriend ordered the braised beef, which was really good, but it was very heavy. For appetizer, we had the tartare, which was also very good. However, I recommend getting less mustard because it was very strong, and very overpowering. We finished our meals and it was onto dessert. I got the apple tart and my boyfriend got the crème brûlée which once again was amazing absolutely no complaints with that. All in all, we will definitely be coming back, it is a little bit on the pricier side for the two of us. We walked out about $230 including tip. It's safe to say I'm not sure if $230 is exactly worth it but if you're looking to spend a little bit on some really great French cuisine this place could be your go to, but be ready to spend a little bit.

Yelp
I used to come here a few times for the awesome $1 oyster they offered daily (they sell 500 everyday until it's sold out), don't know if they still have it now. The other dishes are generally decent too, especially the liver pate.

Yelp
Came here for the summerlicious menu! Got the Poached Salmon, Pork Croquette and Camembert en croute. Fancy place! From the way the waiters dress to the table setting with double cutlery and fabric napkins, this is great for a date to dress up for! I sat inside as my last visit I sat on the patio. They have nice leather & marble décor (the bill tray was real leather!) Appetizer: Poached salmon, the salmon was tender and flaky. It was covered with a tangy tomato sauce with corn Entrée: Pork croquette, one medium sized on top of bed of diced potato on a tangy sauce. Didn't like the tang to the potatoes personally. I'm impressed that the cut of meat is one piece and that it's so tender and flaky, it's like eating tuna, and pulls off like pulled pork. My only complaint is that it was incredibly salty-- the meat, the crust, the sauce. I only ate half. Dessert: Camembert en croûte, I was surprised that the pastry was soaked in sauce. I'm not sure if the pastry is supposed to be crispy, but the texture is exactly like eating a microwaved croissant with cheese inside. It was very gooey, and I think I would prefer the pastry dry and crispy without the syrup. My partner had a whipped cheese salad, burger and chocolate cake, to which they all tasted alright, except for the chocolate cake, it was dense and sweet to me as if it was made with shortening. All in all, great for a fancy meal! They just lost a star because my entree was way salty.
google avatar

Monika W.

Yelp
5 stars for my first visit during summerlicious (everything was perfect and we sat on the beautiful patio) but only 3 stars for my recent birthday dinner there. We got the fries to share as I heard they were good (they were good). I got their seafood soup which was comforting and tasty but I was still hungry. My husband got their daily special - beef cheek spaghetti which he enjoyed. It was pretty busy for a Monday night and it felt like everyone was seated quite close together. The ambiance on the patio is definitely nicer!

Yelp
Came here for buck a shuck oysters (can't go wrong) and their French fries (divine)! I enjoyed the horseradish and vinegar provided for the oysters, was missing the Tabasco (personal preference). Service was ok but the setting/atmosphere really brought me back to my trip in Paris. Was only missing some music!
google avatar

Majdi A.

Yelp
One of my favourite French places in Toronto. My girlfriend and I usually go on Wednesdays for the buck-a-shuck and half priced wine bottles. Having said that the rest of the menu is spectacular as well. We love the liver parfait, the poulet roti, the steak tartare, and the duck confit, just to name a few.
google avatar

Eldingo D.

Yelp
this is 3.5 star. But I will come back for sure and may give more stars based on other dishes I'm going to try. A nice place for business lunch or dinner. Food is OK. Tried varies dishes here, and tried the lamb burger for the first time today. Pros: good ambiance, staff are professional, amazing patio, good music, right across Sony Centre, the brioche was very tasty, so as the side green salad, good wine menu Cons: the burger was too salty, it was juicy which is good, but too juicy in a way that made a mess, the bread fell off and I had my hands dirty. The other time I tried the mussels and they weren't the best ones I had.
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
Bad food bad service don't go here. They never come by to check in the table and the food tasted microwaved. How do they call themselves an upscale French restaurant.
google avatar

Kay C.

Yelp
3.5 stats Came here for Winterlicious lunch with my co workers. Service was terrific, our waiter was amazing. Pros: the mushroom soup was worth the visit alone! Beautifully presented with a caked puff pastry on top. Soup was perfectly seasoned and delectable. Desert we chose was the chocolate peanut butter cake. Very sweet, but yum The mains were a little underwhelming though. I ordered the duck confit speghetti, which would have been really tasty (albeit a bit like very eldente thick ramen noodles more than speghetti), however it was just too salty. I love me some salt, but even I couldn't get thru half of it. We also noticed another table returning thiers for a different main. My coworkers ordered the brie burger which looked amazing (fries were delicious) but they said it wasn't anything extraordinary. Overall it was close to being excellent and I'd give this place another go.
google avatar

Christine R.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for lunch after a conference in downtown Toronto. It's a bit upscale and on the pricier side. We ordered a lamb burger and chicken club both with side salads. The lamb burgers was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had, juicy and seriously amazing. The chicken club was also very good, though not as stand out as the burger. Our drinks were originally forgotten, and sat at the bar, but otherwise the service was fast and friendly. When I saw the espresso machine I ordered a latte with amaretto that turned out just amazing. I would return for sure if for nothing more than to have that lamb burger again.

Yelp
Oyster! $1 an Oyster?! Everyday after 5 pm??!! Now I know where to go for oyster when I have the cravings.... I know Biff's Bistro is not serving up the best oysters in town and you don't really have choice of the fancy oysters but $1?? I tell you I can eat a lot of oyster.. if I going to pig out on oyster at Rodney's I would be in trouble and I might have a heart attack when I see the final bill......... We ended up sitting by the bar... and the services was good without overbearing... and I like the deco and the vibe of the Biff's... but how many oysters can I down in one seating?! It can be quite scary :P

Yelp
Biff Bistro is my last O & B restaurant to try, so I decided to stop by for a weekend lunch. Biff Bistro offers a lunch prix fixe combo, which comes with the soup of your choice. I wasn't tempted by the soup of the day (some sort of bean soup), so I opted for the mushroom soup instead. The hearty soup was rich with robust, earthy flavours. For the main, I decided to try Basquez style chicken with preserved lemon, olives and chorizo. The dish was visually stunning, and I was immediately drawn to the bright, vibrant colours. Luckily, the taste did not disappoint either. The chicken was very tender and the broth was bursting with flavours of the meat juice and herbs. I wasn't very impressed with the caramelized onion tartlette with warm mushrooms, anchovy and grand crème delin. The pastry itself was slightly too thick and hard, particularly in the bottom. I also wished that the anchovy had been more evenly distributed throughout the tart. The large chunks of cured fish made certain bites overly salty. All in all, it was a very enjoyable lunch, and I really loved the chicken! However, I think I prefer O & B Cafe Grill and Jump over Biff's Bistro.

Yelp
My husband and I were going to the theatre and planned a trip to Biffs - where I've been many many times. Arrived at 6:15 for a 8pm show. Terrible service. Took 25 minutes to get a glass of wine. Meal arrived finally at 7:40. Scarfed a $40 steak. Fries were painfully over salted. Tried to charge us for water we never got. Servers only response was "sorry". But she didn't charge me for the glass of wine I didn't get to drink. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Splendid. Amazing. Magnificent. Need I say more? Well, yes I actually do! My partner and I came here for the prix fixe offerings. Three course meal for two for around $60? What a steal! The decor was easy on the eyes. It was like eating in a study but you know. Not a study. Our server was delightful. He anticipated our every need and followed up at the right times. He was hilarious and made us feel comfortable. Moving onto the food: DAMN. The truffled salad made my mouth water. I'm a sucker for truffle and vinaigrettes. So the combination of the two made my mind explode. The portion was filling but not too much for an appetizer. I would honestly just come here if I was craving for a good salad. The duck confit was to die for. I've always wanted to try this unattainable (budget wise) and quite famous dish. It did not disappoint. Well, the chefs at Buff's didn't disappoint! It was so rich and delicious. I couldn't finish the whole thing but oh man, I'd scarf this thing down for a midnight snack. The ingredients meshed well together and you could really taste the intricate ingredients. The dessert was really good as well. I'm not too much of a dessert person but it was pleasing to the palate. Overall, a wonderful meal. I will definitely come back again, thanks to the chefs and the service. This place made my taste buds go to heaven !

Yelp
This place is so adorable! Has a great patio now that the weather is improving and the restaurant has a fair amount of seating with the lounge and dining area. The downfall was that I found the service incredibly slow. I'm not sure if the server was just giving my friend and I time to talk but it could have been a little more efficient. We ordered a bottle of their Pinot noir which was really nice. I enjoyed the extensive wine list. And then ordered the steak & frites as my entree. I order my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and soooo many frites!! My friend ordered the duck confit and loved it as well. This place has been on my radar for quite some time and it'll stay on my list of spots to return to when I'm in the mood for tasty French food.

Yelp
My friend and I visited Biff's bistro on Wednesday for its $1 oyster deals and half bottles on selected wines. The ambiance is pretty romantic and they have either lounge or dining area to choose to sit. Dollar oysters were okay. Some of them had pieces of shells, and not properly shucked but for a dollar it was alright. The half bottle wine list wasn't extensive but for the price we paid were decent. Overall, the service was a bit slow and waiters were a bit slow to attend to our needs. I would say 3/5 on overall experience, food and ambiance for this place!

Yelp
A 3.5 star experience. My husband and I arrived at 5:45 pm Tuesday night for an early dinner before a 7:30 Raptors game. I advised the hostess when I made the reservation that we needed to leave in 75 minutes. No joke- they advised all the 3 servers who attended our table. Our main server kept an eye on all the entrees to ensure we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes between courses, and did not forget about us when the place got busy at around 6:30. I was disappointed about their salmon tartar served on a bed of lentils, under some beets and pickled beets. The pickled beets were too overpowering. Then came my main entree - the sesame crusted tuna was cooked to perfection! Dessert was also great- the almond- orange cake was small in portion, but very rich, also served with a scoop of fragrant vanilla ice cream. The servers definitely made it a lovely experience!

Yelp
I was taken to this restaurant as part of a large party, which was advised well in advance that I required a vegan meal. I had been here a year ago and had a great vegan meal. But my meal yesterday was an epic fail. First the salads arrived. Everyone had cheese and croutons in their salads . Mine was just romaine lettuce and dressing. Not really impressive but ok. Then the main - major disappointment. Plate of kale with maybe a tablespoon of lentils and crushed nuts scattered, 3 baby potatoes and a couple of olives. I cannot believe that this is the best that a trained chef can do (and be proud of). I left disappointed and hungry. I would like to know what, if any comment the manager or chef had.

Yelp
It was very nice, parking is a bit challenging but with a bit of luck you can find a good spot. The steak I got was really yummy

Yelp
Had a wonderful date night at Biff's! Tasty French fare, great wine, lovely ambiance and the service was exceptional. We ordered the small charcuterie board (the terrine was a highlight) and two entrees to share: the steak frites and the daily special of Fogo Island cod. We ordered the steak medium rare - it was cooked perfectly and came with a mountain of crispy fries. The cod was a bit dry which was disappointing, but the puréed cauliflower and other veggies it came with were sooo good they made up for it. Generous portions overall, especially for French food. Our waiter was amazing and incredibly attentive! Always filling our wine glasses, brought out GF crackers after he asked for dietary restrictions, brought out a lovely treat in celebration of our anniversary, even folded our napkins when we stepped away to the restroom! Really nice touches which made the evening very memorable.
