Food was delicious 😋 We ordered a ham and cheese omelet and the cerole omelet. I really enjoyed the cerole. I could live without the tomato sauce on top but it still went together well. Their honey is delicious. My only con is forcing you to tip their preset amount. We tried to go again with other family but the wait was 2 hours.

This was my 1st time eating here. I ordered the Shrimp N Grits w/the fried egg. It was very good & the portion was plentiful. The atmosphere was very nice & the service was great. Our food was prepared in a timely manner. There was a little wait time for a table, but not bad at all. I would definitely recommend this spot. They also had gluten-free options which was a plus for me.

Divine! Sierra was the best server I have ever had. She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu options. Just a delight to be around , truly! We loved our experience , everything we ordered was pure perfection! The country ham biscuit, creole omelet , and chicken waffles … they slap! No lie You should go here, if for nothing more than a scratch biscuit with homemade jam…. It’s speaks to me!

I've been here twice now since moving to the area. First time, I had the Mother of all Biscuits Dirty Bird style. Highly recommended!! This time, I tried the breakfast skillet and the wife had the Biscuit Crumble. Both, also recommended. Overall, the service was great. I took off one star for that only because it took a little bit before I got a refill of coffee.

Second visit - as always consistency is the problem. Last time I had eggs Benedict and though the biscuits weee tough it was good. Today is was a short stack and two eggs over medium. Pancakes were good but the eggs were horrible. So to this point when will restaurants learn to train and give power to the wait/servers to be able to judge the food they are delivering and return it to the kitchen when it does not meet quality standards. One assumes that any and all restaurants ought to have a standard of food quality which is a wide range of variables but it ought to at least look good to start. I will say that the waitress Kianni I guess was her name was very nice very attentive which was great. But the eggs turned me off on the whole breakfast. I believe the eggs were cooked on or near a grill that they tried cleaning with a wet rag. Full of burnt off grill scraps and water. Which you could see it in the photo but it actually had dirty water running off the eggs. On top of that they were cooked on too hot of surface which made the outside crispy and the inside whites runny. Ewww! Yuk! And finally stop adding a 18% gratuity! I suggest all to call them out on this and not pay it! Pay what is right and not an extra 18% into management!

Our waitress Kianni was a 10/10! We went after church and there was a bit of a wait as expected. She was so kind toward us and very attentive. She came back several times to check on us without being too intrusive. We stopped the manager on our way out to commend her on the service and he shared that she was also in school. Very respectable young lady. We are very thankful and gave her a really nice tip.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly. We had a great waitress. She gave us suggestions on what to eat based upon what we told her we liked. She ensured we were taken care the entire time. The fruit was fresh. Eggs were cooked perfectly, which is hard to find these days. The pancake was the best part. I will definitely be returning. I also like how the calories are included in the menu.

Good food and decent prices. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is that I didn’t get an option to tip. My bill came with tip (18%) inclusive. Then the waitress had the gall to ask for more. For reference I typically tip 20-22%. To me, if you’re going to force patrons to pay a tip. It no longer is a tip. Very strange. I had the spicy BLT which was tasty.

We arrived right at opening so we were seated immediately. Our server was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left and was very accommodating in between. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Everything was fresh and hot. The food was flavorful but nothing was overbearing. My dining partner and I could not find a single negative in either meal! A little something to be aware of... we were automatically charged a gratuity of 18% at a 2 person table. Our server definitely earned this but I like having the option of choosing my own gratuity.

FOOD DELIVERY EXPERIENCE: So it's a weekday and I'm busy getting the house ready to bring in the new year. As a result, I decided to order some food for myself while I get some work done. I'm happy to say that this is a good place to make a food delivery from. I got their shrimp and grits bowl with the red gravy. It is very hefty. The only take away was that it was lacking a little in flavor and it is more so due to needing a little salt. All the other components were there. As a delivery order, you deal with the bowl being a cardboard type texture which I appreciate but it is true to paper so the oil from the gravy gives it a good fight. Overall, the bowl keeps well enough that I can put it in a bowl of my choice to reheat and yes, the bowl reheats well, just take the egg placed on top to the side when heating so you don't over cook it. I also decided to try to the chicken and waffle because my sweet tooth always gets me first thing in the morning. It is really good. I didn't need to season the chicken at all. I bought some sausage patties on the side just in case the chicken lacked flavor and I'm happy to say that it was good on its own. Overall, this is a good breakfast delivery option for anyone that is busy doing morning cleaning but still want that filling breakfast that you'd do in your home. Definitely gets five stars for helping me make my morning a little less hectic, providing a good down home breakfast that was easy to reheat so it would feel like I am eating right at the restaurant table.

Service was good-- attentive but not too much so. Eggs were delicious, bacon was okay, biscuit was over baked. It was very loud in there--my friend and I had to practically scream at each other to be heard. I dislike the automatic 18% gratuity; since management decided that for me, that's what the server received. I understand auto gratuity for large parties, but for two people, each paying separately--not so much.

Big Bad Breakfast is one of many enjoyable breakfast spot in Memphis. The interior is clean, well lit and spacious with both breakfast and lunch options available. We were seated, and our waitress was friendly. The food was fresh and tasty, and I enjoyed my first Vietnamese coffee. Pricing depends on what you want, but you can get a filling meal for under $20.

Just yes! I love brunch & I love BBB! I've ordered delivery quite a few times & am always impressed. This was my first time dining in with family after church. The place was crowded and there was a bit of a wait, but the service was fast and friendly. Everyone LOVED their meals. I went with my usual, the cat head chicken biscuit, & per usual it did not disappoint. That gravy is nectar from the Gods. The biscuit is light and fluffy & the chicken is perfectly fried and seasoned. I also had a breakfast margarita that was to die for. If i could give 10 stars i would. If you're contemplating this location, don't. Just go.

I was in the mood for a good breakfast. This place was recommended to me! I joined the waiting list on yelp. I was 19th in line but arrived before getting a text. Since i was eating alone I was lucky enough to get a seat at the bar and placed my order! I got the shrimp and grits. I've had better shrimp and grits. The flavor just wasn't there at all! Over all service was a 10/10! I would definitely go back and try something different.

Great tasting food and Great service. Seating area was a bit small for my liking but overall we enjoyed it.

Such a solid breakfast spot for what I didn't know had such a large chain of restaurants around the region. Great atmosphere that promotes a chill vibe to enjoy morning cocktails if you so choose (of course I did) and a delicious and filling breakfast. Also, the bright decor helps with the much needed morning jolt to help wake you up...if the cocktails hasn't done so already. The omelettes are hefty and delicious but it doesn't leave you feeling so heavy and sluggish afterwards. Maybe because they serve it with salad instead of the usual hashbrown or homestyle potatoes. It wasn't a bad thing since the salad was actually very enjoyable as well. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Also, this spot is in a large plaza so finding parking wasnt an issue as well.

Amazing! Delicious food, great drinks, great service! Can't wait to go back once they reopen this location!

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I experienced: + Very comfortable atmosphere. + Quality of food was exceptional high with nothing but the finest of products. + Fresh squeezed OJ was great. + Hash browns were superb! - Chef had a hard time getting over-medium eggs right. + Server Crista was outstanding throughout. If you are in the area and don't take the time to dine here, you missed out on a fine experience.

What's NOT to like? From the Cat Head Chicken Biscuit to the granola bowl and iced coffees, BBB is always delicious! Our waitress was busy, but very nice and knowledgeable.

$44 for a waffle, chicken and waffles, one black coffee, and a vanilla latte that I had to get up and walk to the bar for because the vanilla wasn't even put in it. Our waitress only came to our table twice. Once to order and once to drop off the check. Yeah, not worth it. Also who in the world slaps an 18% gratuity onto a check?? This isn't downtown Memphis and I expect way better service and food for that.

BBB is excellent food and service. Great variety/selection. Ambiance is a traditional breakfast/lunch place and very enjoyable

You can get full, a buzz, and the food tastes good. Mimosas are a delight with a good starting the day meal.

Not a good visit today. No bacon. No mix to make the Breakfast Marg. What's going on?? Brought me grits instead of grapefruit. Biscuit was dry and no butter or jelly to use tho I asked. Automatic 18% gratuity so beware. Just a meh experience and I won't be going back.

Listen here this food is dang DELICIOUS!!! Taylor took excellent care of us! She made great suggestions and brought what she knew we needed! She made me a Breakfast Margarita out of this world. Taylor is the reason I'll be coming back! Thank God the food was delicious !!! Get that Mother of All Biscuits Dirty Bird style! And the Shrimp N Grits.

I went for a late breakfast (11am) on a weekday and was seated promptly. The server Elizabeth was very professional and efficient. I ordered a Ham/Cheese omelet and a side of Skillet potatoes. The omelette featured ham and Swiss cheese inside a fluffy egg-glove as well as some ham and Swiss on top. It was a nice presentation. The potatoes were nicely cooked and seasoned. I was quite satisfied with the experience!

I ordered food for delivery. It was delivered fast. Unfortunately, it was not as good as I remember it being. I was disappointed to say the least. I had never been disappointed with BBB in Oxford why was this not nearly as good?

You have to get there early on the weekends, like 9am, if you don't want a long wait. The creole skillet was ok as well as their avocado toast.

I never come to Memphis without stopping here for breakfast. Simply the best food with fresh ingredients and service with a big smile. Bring your friends and enjoy! Clean and well organized. Big, bright windows. Love to see Cole who always remembers us.

If I could I would give them a 10, I would. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and this one was the best. I had the BLT omelette, my sister had pancakes with impossible sausage and my cousin had waffle with fruit and roast turkey. Everyone loved their food. The waitress name was Karynn and she was excellent. Price was also very reasonable. I am from Chicago and will leave tomorrow AM. Before I leave Memphis I will go back before I get on the road This is a Don't miss restaurant. The decor was perfect. Best breakfast.

I liked it. I got the better meal hahaha. Tex-Mex for the win. huevos rancheros are usually good. I like breakfast ok. This place was fun. I liked the way it was set up. I wouldn't mind coming back but it's so far out of our way I don't know that we ever will.

A last breakfast stop before a long road trip, and this one was the one. We had a huge group and they were able to accommodate us with a bit of a wait of course. The best part was that one of the employees saw how packed we were at the table and decided to move a smaller table so we could have more elbow room. Customer service was excellent at that point. The food was delicious! We started off with a Vietnamese cold brew coffee. It's on the sweeter side, but I loved it! Not too bitter like other Vietnamese coffees. They have "Big Bad Specialties" and I chose the Breakfast Crumble. The skillet itself looked small, but it is very filling. It had crumbled buttermilk busicuiys, grits, tomatoes gravy, bacon, tomatoes, poached egg, and green onions. It was a lot of flavors that went well together.

A bit of a wait but worth it. French toast and Cat Head Chicken biscuit is great! Preston was our waiter and he was top notch.

We have been wanting to try this place for a few months now but weren't able to make it in due to the lack of parking. Which is understandable for places like this. On Sunday we were able to make it in for a super late brunch (1pm) there was ONE parking spot left so we took it. The restaurant looked super packed and we thought there would be a wait (party of two) We walked in and they were very welcoming and able to seat us right away. They got our drinks out in a timely fashion considering how busy they were at the moment. They had a good amount of options on their menu. The food was super tasty! 10/10 will be going back again! I can't wait to try more of their cocktails and food items

We checked in and was told an hour wait, holiday weekend: 17 minutes later we, party of six we were seated, and 30 minutes after that enjoying the best breakfast in a very long time. Our waitress was busy but right on time with quality service. I have only one concern, the ice tea; needs some improvement.

I had $30 Breakfast this morning- I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes it took about 25 minutes to get my food - my eggs were cold my biscuit was hard and my gravy was just warm - absolutely the worst breakfast ever

Went to Big Bad Breakfast for the first time. Arrived at 10:50am, and was told the wait would be 30 minutes, so we waited. The wait was about 10 minutes longer. Once we got seated with our drink and meal order taken, the long wait was on again. There was no silverware at the table when the food finally arrived (more wait time). Had to ask the staff for that and napkins. As for the food.... I ordered the Screaming Demon (chicken sandwich), which was supposed to have "comeback" sauce and this providing the spicy kick I was hoping for. There was none. As for the chicken itself it was passable. Had I not requested bacon to be added, the entire sandwich would have been completely forgettable. My wife ordered breakfast the thing is place is named for. Her opinion of simple eggs, toast, sausage, potatoes was "it was ok". Food was not very hot. Also bathroom was clean but only one stall and again had to wait and there was no soap. Place is pricey average plate is $15. So would I go back? Unlikely, but if I did it would be during the week and never on the weekend.

I wanted more from this place with the great reviews. We were seated quickly and service was good. But it was very expensive for what you get and in my opinion the food was not great. The Bloody Mary was decent but verrrrryyyyy chunky. I got the BLT which was definitely lacking bacon for $12. There was probably 2 slices on the whole thing. There was a LOT of mayo and I usually like mayo but it was a bit over powering. Toast was nice. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong thing or it was just okay food, but my friend seemed to agree. I might give it another chance, but overall it was just okay.

We were out walking at Shelby Farms early one morning and some thunderstorms rolled in. After hustling back to the car and wondering "what now?" we decided to head over to Big Bad Breakfast. We had popped in here a few days prior but there was a 60 minute wait and we didn't want to wait that long. But on this day (it was a Monday at about 9am) we had no wait at all. Quick friendly service from Megan, who always kept our coffee cups topped off and was able to answer our questions such as "what is ham powder?" (It's dehydrated ham which is then ground up and used as a flavoring as well as adding a splash of color to dishes). Pancakes as always were a giant stack of fluffy deliciousness with a side of bacon. One member got the Jack Benny but she doesn't like poached eggs. No problem!!! Subbed in fried eggs instead. I had the veggie omelette. Now - the menu says it comes with potatoes and greens. Megan told me that the potatoes it came with is french fries, but said I could swap for another side if I wanted. Well, I wanted. I could handle hash browns but french fries at 9 am was just a bit too much for this old man!! I swapped out cheese grits. But the omelette still came with the greens, so I had a salad with my breakfast!!

When in Memphis you MUST experience the smiles, kindness and down home taste of BIG BAD BREAKFAST!! The moment you walk in the aroma confirms you're in for an unforgettable experience. The ambience, attentive service and mouthwatering menu options are all there!! I asked the sweetest lady in the world if I were in for a good experience - she said "you'll give me a thumbs up when you're done" She was RIGHT!!

Service was top-notch and speed of the order was great. We had an 11 month old baby with us who made a mess and our waitress was very helpful with us.

I heard this was the best place to eat breakfast, so thought we would try it with family. The locals suggested and bragged about how great the food was, so we went on Friday ~1130am. We had a 20+ minute wait which was fine since we knew the food would be really good. I ordered a waffle, eggs, bacon, biscuit, home fries and my husband ordered the oyster scramble. First, the presentation was really great and professional looking. The food was decent, nothing that I could not fix at home. If I wanted to cook, I would've stayed home. The food didn't have much flavor but was still good (decent). One of the main issues was the service and the temperature of the food, which is partly due to the terrible waitress we had. I had asked for a water and my husband an unsweet tea. We received our drinks but didn't get anything else for ~20-25 minutes. Once the food arrived, we couldn't eat it because we had NO silverware. The waitress came back after ~4-5 minutes later and I asked her for a refill for both of us, silverware, extra napkins (as we didn't have any) & the extra butter (which I had previously asked for when I ordered). She rolled her eyes and said, "I hear you ma'am!" I'm not sure what sort of service this is called, but it isn't something I should be forced to pay 18% tip. We received the silverware ~another 5 minutes later (total of 10 minutes). Once that was dropped off (only the silverware), I asked for the other items, she said, "Again, I heard you ma'am." She proceeded to take a few orders instead of getting the other items I had asked about. A few minutes later she brought the butter, "to go cups" with our refills (I assume that meant that was all she was bringing), and no extra napkins. My food/waffle was so cold that the butter had no chance of melting whatsoever and it took another few minutes just to receive the syrup, as it was not brought out either. I won't be back whatsoever. My husband said the same. It was so bad and the fact we were FORCED to pay the 18% tip, I wanted to write a review. I know the reviews are mixed, and so you take your life into your own hands when you go to this restaurant. We were visitors to this place and the first time. It was so bad that the entire family in Memphis now knows the treatment and are going to share it to their friends and family. Do not go unless you want to go somewhere like Dick's Last Resort with decent breakfast and cold food. Nothing spectacular, actually, it was pretty awful. Save your money and keep the 18% tip in your pocket

The waffle is awesome, especially when it's actually hot enough to melt the butter! It's not very big but it's delicious! Great ambiance.

Sierra was an amazing waitress. She had great energy! The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday morning. The food was a perfect portion and it was very good and needed a little seasoning. The place was very clean. I would visit again.

I finally had the chance to dine at Big Bad Breakfast. It's a new eatery here in Memphis, so of course there is a wait whenever you visit. I was with a group of 4 and we had to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, everything went pretty quickly. We were started off with water and our beverage of choice. I had cranberry juice. Like most places, it's not refillable and it was like 3 bucks. After looking at the menu, I decided to go with the skillet. It had 3 meats including shrimp, bacon, and andouille sausage. It was also packed with peppers onions, egg, and cheese. It came with a pancake and I added a side of grits. Out of everything, I enjoyed the pancake the most. The grits were not good at all to me. The skillet was good, but lacked seasoning. But, I will say it wasn't anything that a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and checked in on us often. The food was cooked hot and fresh.

Martina our waitress needs more training. She was loud when she came around and very short with us. Walking away while we were still communication with her and not returning. My mom asked for water and received a dirty cup that had orange juice residue in it from the last customer who used it. DISGUSTING!!! My food was not hot or warm. It was cold. So I left a $5 tip which is only 25% of what I normally leave when I'm a happy customer. Want be back unless I'm getting my food to go. It still taste good just was to afraid they'd do something to it if I asked the to heat it up.

We went for brunch on a Saturday. There was an hour and half wait. I expected that. Once we got seated, the service was fast! This place was super busy. We had the big bad skillet. Which was much smaller than I expected. But it was not bad. Pancake was good. The waffle was my fav. It was huge! Bacon was way overcooked. Biscuit and gravy was meh. The gravy had a weird texture. Didn't care for it. Overall, it's a good breakfast place. Would prob go back and try other things!

The food was not delicious and there was garlic in everything. I am so disappointed. Lots of excitement but little joy.

Sometimes you may have to wait, but Service and Food is always great. I always order the yard skillet with all bacon adding tomatoes, spinach and Jalapeños with French toast or Pancake which is delicious. The biscuit with their strawberry jam is delicious, also.

The food was great and so was the customer service. We came from Illinois for a birthday party. Also wanted to eat a great breakfast. This satisfied our stomachs. Plus it wasn't far from the hotel where we stayed. Thanks for all your hard work to produce great food and great customer service. God Bless!!!

Food was excellent, hot, and tasty. Service was excellent our server Jade was amazing. She was polite, encouraging, knew the menu, made great suggestion. I highly recommend.
