Big Bamboo Beach, Bar, Restaurant & Villas

Visited Big Bamboo 2 weeks before start of season and yes it was slow but the ladies took good care of us and made great drinks. What a beautiful spot with a beautiful beach. The entire area was very clean thanks to the lady's hard work before we got there. Can't wait to return during season and join in the fun.

We only stopped here to enjoy the beach, so this review is limited to that experience. It’s a great beach, relatively shallow inside a well defined reef some distance off shore. Loblolly Beach. Lots is seaweed this time of year, so not great, clear water. The beach is on the windward side of the island, so windy and wavy in the water. That said, great place to stop for a swim!

Enjoyable beach and drinks. Free umbrellas and chairs by the ocean. $25 minimum on cards. Drinks were decent but average quality. This bay is written in the guidebooks as being the best snorkeling in BVI. While it was certainly interesting, I wouldn’t call it the best— for example, compared to Norman Island.

Big Bamboo is in a great location at Loblolly beach. They have a decent menu and the service was good. We had burgers, shrimp and chicken wings - all good, but the favorite was the wings. They didn’t have any lobster unfortunately. They have a beautiful beach where you can take your drinks and enjoy the water.

Though the Big Bamboo has been around for awhile, it is very well maintained and very clean. The open air, but covered, dining is delightful and tasty. The drinks say the bar are great too. There are hammocks under the trees and umbrellas and chairs on the beach. Good snorkeling, too!

One of the best conch lunches I've ever had. Customer service was lacking a smile, but otherwise price point was decent. Wifi available

Love this place. If you are on the island, stop in for a lobster and some drinks. Totally worth it.
