Big Bula Waterpark

The waterpark is a large space for both kids and adults to play, with a variety of inflatable attractions. However, most, if not all, of the inflatables appear quite old. One noticeable issue is that the water pools attached to each inflatable were not clean. I’m not sure how often the water is changed, but during our visit, the pools we saw were very dirty, which is not ideal for children to swim in. The only area we used during our visit, and probably the only clean pool, was the main pool with the slides. The slides were really good, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. As for the cost, it is quite expensive considering the run-down condition of most of the facilities.

Fun and exciting activities for the entire family. There were 22 of us and adults could also use the gigantic inflatables. The slides were most fun. Food and drinks are a little on the expensive side but you can also BYO drinks. A little ridiculous that fiji passports don't count as a local ID for fiji residents, had a little exchange with the front desk staff about that hence the less 1 star. Otherwise all round great experience.

Big Bula 🌊 The prices are on the high side. If you book online a day or two prior through a 3rd party-I noticed it is listed at a discounted rate. You can pay $15 when you arrive to spectate. The Bula bus stops right outside. The first part of the park is all inflatables and they got really hot as you slide down the plastic-When we visited. The little paddle pools at bottom of the inflatables were dirty/murky. It is hot under feet 🐾 walking from one thing to another-take flip flops. There are some tables/umbrellas/gazebos but not much tree shade. Ordered a $12 berri smoothie NZ ice cream. They have hot food, chicken wraps, wings and chips. Cold drinks and so on. A more sophisticated set up would work alongside all the 5 star hotels/resorts on Denarau Island. Park is not well maintained and there was a wet dog type smell around the big water slides-Maybe from old plastics.

Starting with the pricing - very very expensive. A person who enters that’s not swimming must still pay $15 just to supervise their children. The lady at the front desk looked under the pump and was rude while another girl just sat their and watched people queuing out the door and did nothing. The pools are murky and disgusting. So many used bandages floating around. Half the pools have green water and doesn’t look like any chlorine is used. An extremely bad experience.

Fun had by kids, but you can see where costs are being reduced (while the ticket prices stay the same). 2 years ago (2023) we spent a full day with our families kids (6 in total, aged 3-12) and there were plenty of staff who seemed happy to help, and most of the water looked clean. Our trip this year involved all the same kids (now aged 5-14) and they all still had fun - but it was noticeable how few staff there were (more maintenance staff than operations staff) and how little anyone helped or regulated things - it was also very noticeable how little water was being run on each of the inflatable slides, often too little to get you all the way down without skidding. The quality of the water at the end of each slide was pretty terrible too. And given the cost hasn't changed, we felt it took away from the experience a bit.

Unfortunately the owner seems to be ripping everyone off now with $89 entry fee for inflatable waterslides. These Inflated prices id rather spend money elsewhere. We paid $140 at dream world for 5 day pass at 2 huge theme park. Very disappointed how now they won’t accept locals rates with passport. Save your money go for a cruise and spend a whole day at island. Good luck

Great place nestled in Denarau, kids absolutely loved it, the Fijian Falls were brilliant, my kids are thrilled seekers, but not for the faint hearted. Great day out for all!!
