3 Best Day Trips from Miami | Condé Nast Traveler

"Gators and panthers and dolphins, oh my! If you can remember all the way back to your school science class, you may have spent some time talking about the Everglades and how they are North America’s largest wetlands ecosystem. Seeing the park for yourself is another thing altogether. Whether you explore the park on your own at Everglades National Park or hop one of Everglades Safari Park’s airboat tours of this River of Grass, you’ll undoubtedly come away with a genuine appreciation for this magical stretch of unspoiled land." - Jennifer M. Awesome full moon Big Bus Night Tour! We will do it again! Our guide & host Martica was insightful, fun, colorful as Miami, and could handle all the twists & turns superbly - of the bus & little rain shower & still keep it entertaining. Martica has the best tour bus playlist I've ever heard in the mainland USA. Get on her Big Bus. We'll be back & tell others!

We recently did the Big Bus Tour in Miami as a family of four, and it was a great experience. The entire process was super convenient—getting on and off was easy, and we never had trouble finding seats, which made it especially comfortable with kids. One of the best parts was the ability to track the buses using their app. It took the guesswork out of waiting. The ride itself was smooth, and the open-top was a great way to enjoy the Miami sunshine while soaking in the sights. The commentary added fun facts and history along the way, which kept everyone entertained. We also did the boat tour and it was great. Cruising through Biscayne Bay and seeing the beautiful homes on Star Island was a perfect addition to the day. Overall, we recommend the Big Bus Tour Miami.

Google
Big Bus Tours is organized and fun! German V was a friendly and efficient bus driver and tour guide! We got to the location a bit early and it was easy to find, so I was grateful for that as well. The boat tour at Everglades Holidah was fun and Captain Jack was funny and informative. He seems to love what he does. We saw so many alligators in the wild! The alligator show at the end was also really fun and we got to learn even more about the animals. The hosts were great! They seemed to love the animals and truly love what they do.

Google
We had a wonderful time on the night bus tour! The atmosphere was fantastic, the city lights were stunning, and the whole experience was full of great energy. A huge thank you to our guides, Martika and Maria, who were absolutely amazing – warm, professional, and so much fun! They truly made the tour extra special and memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Miami! Thank you so much for everything!

Google
Tour was amazing. Our bus driver, Jose Suarez, was very helpful in getting us from Miami to the Everglades park safely. He was very informative when giving us the rundown on where to go and when. Very funny as well. The boat tour was so fun, saw lots of wildlife and learned some fun facts about the Everglades. The gator show was also fun and informative. Very much worth it on our short stay in Miami. Would highly recommend.

My family did the night bus ride tour of Miami! It was awesome, we had Armando as our tour guide. He was great! Very informative and entertaining! I would recommend to anyone, great for grown ups and children!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic Everglades Adventure with Big Bus Miami! I recently took the Everglades tour with Big Bus Miami, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly our tour guide and driver, Mr. Blank. He was knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor that kept the group engaged and entertained throughout the ride. Mr. Blank provided insightful commentary about the Everglades, its unique ecosystem, and the wildlife we were likely to encounter. He managed the schedule perfectly, ensuring we had ample time for the airboat ride, wildlife show, and souvenir shopping—without ever feeling rushed. The airboat ride itself was thrilling! Gliding through the vast expanse of sawgrass and spotting alligators in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience. The wildlife show was also well done, educational, and respectful toward the animals. Everything was well-organized and hassle-free, from hotel pickup to drop-off. If you’re visiting Miami and want a stress-free way to explore the Everglades, I highly recommend this tour. And if you’re lucky enough to have Mr. Blank as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!

Google
It was raining but luckily we were able to see some gators! Our driver and tour guide German V was very nice, each of us had a rain coat. The gators’ presentation in the end was also amazing.

Yelp
I've been on a few open bus tours. This one is a bit pricey, ends early and I felt it a little short on info about the areas we were passing. It does let you know about shopping and condos to buy.

Delia W.

Yelp
The guide who greeted us after we got to the bus was super friendly and helpful, and that's just about the only good thing I have to say. Big Bus Tours specifically mentioned in their description (we booked them through our cruise ship!) that the busses were air conditioned, as well as the shuttle to the airport. Neither of these things were true, and as it's Miami, 2 members of my family passed out from heat stroke. Wouldn't have booked it if I knew they were lying about the A/C- we are from a colder state, and specifically wanted the A/C for this exact reason. WE did our part, they didn't do theirs. Editing this review to mention that the busses were all timed horribly. The bus does NOT come every 30 minutes by any means. Sometimes it's 10, sometimes it's 20, sometimes it's 40. This place should not be in business. The only reason why we knew which stops were good and which weren't was because of our lovely guide. The company as a whole absolutely sucks.

Sanj S.

Yelp
5 star rating for our tour guide Julio. He gave us a fun, enjoyable hour and 30 minute tour. With the cool weather and beautiful view, would love to go again!

Yelp
Bought tickets for a Saturday hop on, hop off. Buses are clean and seem well maintained. But there are far too few of them running. Each stop was packed and there is no air conditioning in the bottom of the bus. So it was a scramble to get seats in the open-air top. We've used the BigBus service in other cities and generally have a great experience. Miami's needs work. Adding more busses and routes would go a long way.

Yelp
No one said the bus is not air-conditioned below even! Miserable experience, with headphones that broke and the most irritating dialogue through the terrible earphones! Bad bad bad! I just road straight through as I couldn't get out soon enough! Take the train near by that tours around downtown and is free! The stupid dialogue tells you this last minute of the tour! Argh!! Save the 57$. When I told the worker outside how I felt she just looked away! Rude!

Marie E.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not waste your precious vacation time or money! Busses do not run every 30 minutes. We were dropped off in Little Havana and waited almost 1.5 hours to be picked up. The Big Bus Tour employee continued to lie to new customers telling the bus would be there in 10-15 minutes, when the app clearly showed 42 minutes away. An elderly couple, who appeared to have some mobility issues asked how long until the next bus would arrive and the Big Bus Tour worker rolled his eyes and said 1-2 days. He was completely rude. When the bus finally arrived it was dirty inside and out. Because we waited so long, our group completely filled the bus. We ended up having to sit in the inside. It was covered in dirt, rust and what appeared to be mold. The windows were so dirty you couldn't take pictures out of them. The actual tour is a waste of time. They give you a bit of history about Miami and its revival over the years, but there is no reason to hop off other than to eat or go to the beach. The other stops drop you off with no where to go and nothing to see. Save your money and walk the city on your own. We have used Big Bus Tours in 2 other cities and the staff were delightful and there were actual places to see and things to do. We will be back in Miami with family next year and absolutely will avoid this tour.

Nick C.

Yelp
Did a night time tour, while the tour itself wasn't bad despite the rain. What left a bad taste in my mouth was the attitude presented by the tour guide Martica when exiting the bus demanding a tip. Nowhere on the website does it state anywhere that it's expected to tip, tips should be given for service, or that a tip would be expected from this line of work. And coming from a place that is a tourist destination itself that gives tours to people all day long they don't take tips and are paid by the hour as tour guide as a salary. Not like a person in the server industry. It was low class especially considering the remark made as we're "Americans" and should know to have cash to tip them. As we're exiting the bus. This is a mostly cashless society nowadays. If your pay isn't up to par, then find another career.

Yelp
Disappointing ...guided tour headset equipment did not function. Representative assured us there would be transportation after the boat ride...much to our surprise it was the city bus!

Yelp
Sightseeing Pass - Miami Good service from the Supervisor on site. We parked at the Bayside Marketplace because first departure starts at this location. Red Loop starts at Bayside Marketplace in front of island Queen Cafe. For some reason their scanner won't accept our Sightseeing Pass and won't produce a ticket to use for the Hop on-Hop off. It was getting close to the scheduled time the bus was supposed to leave. The supervisor on-site made some calls and after a little bit he was able to produce us our tickets and we were able to "hop on" the bus. Our plan was to stay on the bus for a full round trip then decide later where we want to hop off on our second trip around. Intervals were every 30 mins. The bus stopped at a total of 10 stops. They provided free headsets to plug by your seat so we could listen to a recording about the locations we were passing through. We only hopped off once at the famous Calle Ocho in Little Havana (Stop 10). Stops that were also included were South Beach, North Beach, Wynwood Walls, and Downtown Miami. We had a nice view of the sites sitting on the upper deck. Adult tickets for the Classic tour was $49/per person... included with the Sightseeing Pass. Review #2886

Yelp
This place was horrible. First of all, you can't get a csr on the phone, so you're screwed if you desperately need to reach someone with concerns or urgent questions. Second, it took over an hour to get here, and the everglades ride experience was like 30 min. Finally, despite ordering 5 hot dogs, 2 corn dogs, chili fries, 2 sodas, and water, they wouldn't give me a cup of ice for the hot beer they sold me.

Yelp
I did the night tour of Miami by bus. Previous reviewers said to get there early to get a good seat. That was my plan, but finding the pickup location was a little difficult for me. I'm new to the city, and it was already night, so finding my way was tough. It was also the weekend before Halloween night so there were a lot of people out which made it difficult to navigate the sidewalks. Others must have had the same issue because I was able to get a spot on the top side of the bus. It's open air which means you can see things without an obstructed view, but you are also subject to the weather, wind, and whiplash of tree branches. I recommend wearing long hair in a ponytail, leaving your hat at home, and keeping your eyes peeled for low branches that you may need to shield your face from. It sprinkled a little, but not enough to make the experience uncomfortable. Our guide was fun. He told jokes and kept us entertained as he pointed out buildings and features of the city. This was my first time in Miami and my first day, so I appreciated all of the insight given. The Miami skyline is lovely at night and the temperature was warm and dry. You'll get a great lay of the land by going on this tour, and they occasionally stop or slow down enough where you can take photos. I recommend this tour for any newbies to Miami, especially if you don't have access to a car and want to get familiar with the city highlights.

Yelp
This is a LONG Bus tour if you do not take advantage of the hop on/hop off feature! What I love about this tour, is that you get to see a lot of the city in a very condensed amount of time if you only have one day in Miami. This is the best value for hitting all the major spots. I love being able to take a vantage of the height and take good pictures around the city. I also got off in a few of the hot neighborhoods and was able to eat local food then get back on and do the same in another neighborhood. What I did not like about this tour is the inside of the bus did not have any air. It was very hot and the windows were not able to be opened- the lack of air, and the long rise me for a nauseating experience for my husband. You do have an option to sit at the top but at midday the sun beams right on your head. Be prepared if you are taking this tour and want to sit at the top, you need to have a hat and one that can fit securely, it's a little windy by the water. also, there should have been a little bit more interaction between the bus, driver and the riders. The tour is guided by an automated message that tells you a little bit more about some of the points. I feel this is a missed opportunity to really create an exciting bus, ride and synergy between the riders and the driver

Yelp
Tried to buy discount tickets on the website, but there's no such thing. The price on the website doesn't include taxes and fees of course I figured the price was the fee. The dialogue on the headphones was great.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
No way in hell should you spend good money on this company. They left us stranded for an hour and a half in South Beach. They had a rep that kept selling tickets even though the bus had broken down. Company refused to refund our $308 we paid. This is some bullshit. Would rate zero stars but that is not an option.

Achyut ..

Yelp
The tour guides try to rip you off here. Plus if you miss your booking they say you go last even though you paid the same price for tickets.
google avatar

Wilma R.

Yelp
Experience was terrible. They sold an expensive 2 hour tour without A/C. My husband suffered a heat stroke. Thank God I had a hand fan. The poor driver tried to do the best she could with angry customers but she was having a hard time too with the heat. Shame on you!!!!
google avatar

Caren G.

Yelp
No AC on bus. Bus 15 degrees hotter than out side. Pulse they charge too much. Hop on Hop off bus much better and it's free.

Peter W.

Yelp
3hr drive. 30 min wait for boar ride (lasts 30 mins), 45 min wait for gator show (lasts 20 mins). Hard pass. More time trying to squeeze more money out than actually doing/seeing anything.

Yelp
My wife had booked plenty of activities for us prior to coming here in Miami. She reserved and bought a package deal worth about 250$ for both of us. One of the tour package was this big bus hop on and hop off. We're pretty familiar with how it goes because when traveled before at other cities (Washington DC And New Orleans ) we look for this kind of sightseeing tours. FYI , this is like a bus with designate routes and some city have multiple lines that you can transfer such as in Washington DC. Here in Miami, they have 2 tour routes. One during the daytime hours and much longer ride because it'll take ion all over Miami's popular / historical places. Again this is like a bus and sometimes you'll get live tour guides telling you the stories on each stops areas of interest. Here, you get to have an earphone you plug in their audio system to listen on the narrative guide . We where up on the 2nd deck and enjoying the beautiful, sites and the horrible drivers in downtown Miami . I'm glad I wasn't driving. They also have the evening tour that'll take you to the Everglades. The only thing I had an issue os that finding proper instruction and directions from their ticket booth and or the driver. There may have some language barrier and with that said can lead to some awkward misunderstandings. Come to think of it. i ppl that we ran into gave little ,confusing directions. , wrong directions or no directions. But I enjoyed the tour.

Yelp
Idk why this place has such bad reviews. We bought a tour to the Everglades. Bus driver had a great personality! Driving was great. Bus showed up at 1:45 and took its time to load passengers. We got to the Everglades and it started pouring we were drenched but had a great time still! Staff at the park were nice and super informative. I'd love to come back in better weather but so happy for the experience. We did see alligators even a baby one in the wild. I have those on video but posted the pics of the beautiful birds we saw.

Ken P.

Yelp
Missed the last bus. Our tour was spoiled when the bus finally showed up and told us they weren't taking passengers on anymore. With hindsight we could find the information, but we never guessed that the last bus would be two hours before the 6 o'clock arrival at the last stop. We had to take a Lyft back. $80 seems expensive.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
Not sure why this hop on hop off company has 2.5 stars on Yelp. We had a solid experience today. I especially liked their app which allowed me track the location of their buses. This was a great fast way to see a lot of the City when you don't have a week or two.

Digna H.

Yelp
Service is terrible. No one speaks English after the sale has been made. Drivers are rude. The run around is ridiculous. Do Not Buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Frustrated beyond my limits.
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
Everything about my family's experience was bad. Really bad. Would give zero stars if I could. First, I would advise against buying through Groupon. We purchased our tickets through Groupon which was a huge mistake. Groupon charged me three times because their payment system gave me an error when processing. Then refused to refund the additional charges that were due to a fault on their end! Groupon customer service is non-existent and is one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and dispute the erroneous charges with my credit card companies. Just terrible treatment of your customer, I'm still shaking my head. How can this be legal?? Once aboard the bus, it took over an hour to get to our first stop. It was very hot on the top deck which is no fault of anyone involved, so we tried to get some relief in the bottom enclosed area of the bus. You would think they would have air conditioning, but nope. The bottom deck was even hotter and so stuffy that we had to get out of there before we collapsed. Many people were upset on our bus, sweating, wondering why it was taking so long just to get to one stop?? You shouldn't feel miserable on a pleasure tour but my family of three and many others around us were just that. Traffic was horrendous, Miami drivers have no courtesy whatsoever and our driver was in no hurry. We were just about to tell the bus driver to open the doors in the middle of the street and let us out as we sat there not moving for far too long, but we continued on trying to stick it out so we could see South Beach. After a detour that took us away from the scene of an accident where drivers are yelling at each other, endless honking of horns and terrible congestion around Bayside Marketplace, our driver proceeded on some side roads that had tree branches overhanging so much that when the bus drove by everyone on the top deck had to duck to prevent from being hit in the face by these branches. No warning or explanation from the driver. So unsafe and unreal. A lawsuit in the making for sure. Crazy. We couldn't wait to get off the bus. We finally made it to South Beach after an eternity and exited as fast as we could. We really wanted to make it to Little Havana but after out horrendous experience, there was no way we were getting back on that bus. A waste of time and money for sure. Seems like a great idea but there are much better ways to see the city. Riding the Big Bus really soured our impression of Miami. A huge disappointment to say the least. Will never do this again.
google avatar

Wade M.

Yelp
AVOID! YOU ARE JUST THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY!! You have been warned. This is not your typical hop on bus tour with a entertaining driver pointing things out. It shows you basically nothing. Bus was packed and we were stuck --standing!!--downstairs so we could not see anything. And really there's nothing to see. The recording was a joke. The route was freeway/random streets it was horrible. I felt so sorry for the international riders who were guilted into tipping by the driver. I was stuck standing up front and the driver kept letting people on but not without telling them to tip him and pointing to his tip jar. It was classless. A tip?? After basically throwing money away for a lame bus ride? I laughed in his face. Please please please don't take this bus!! Really... trust me.
google avatar

Gleda E.

Yelp
Worst experience EVER. 1st bus no commentary and no AC downstairs on the bus. Tickets were oversold for the entire day. Stops were overcrowded with people pushing and shoving to board the bus. This happened at all stops throughout the day. Terrible service. Consider another bus tour company.

Maria G.

Yelp
We actually live in Miami and decided to take a tour of our backyard. Whoa! We didn't know much and we're not aware of all there is in this city. The trip was super! Very good driver and the greeter Miguel at Bayside was very nice. I definitely recommend this company. What a nice pleasant outing!! At the end we had lunch at Bayside.

Genice G.

Yelp
Booked The Big Bus Tour In Miami, Need Less To Say I Less Than Impressed. First The Bus We Boarded Did Not Have No Live Person Speaking Or Doing The Tour, I Felt Like I Was On A City Bus. Second The Tour Was Pre Recorded, Had To Listen With Head Phones, Which Where Avilable But Never Mentioned. Third When Finally Figured Out How To Listen To The Tour, It Did Not Align With Where The Bus Was At. Last But Not Least The Bus Is Supposed To Take You Back To Where You Got On, This Bus left Us At The SeaViews, Stating The Tour Doesn't Run Past 5Pm. Now Stranded Having To Take An Uber Back To The Hotel. I Have Been On Big Bus Tours Before But This Was The Worst.

Yelp
I had night tour in Miami, Armando was our tour guide who explained everything. They showed us Brekell, miami beach, downtown, and it was great. I highly recommended.....

Yelp
We received BigBus Miami Tours for our family at Christmas and used them on our recent trip to Miami. We had a grand time! The drivers were really good and conscientious. We actually show one of the drivers (on right) in our photos and he was FANTASTIC because he made sure to slow down or stop at all of the picturesque places so we can get photos of ourselves. Using BigBus premium ticket, we toured the city via hop on, hop off, rode the Everglades boat tour, and rode the millionaire row boat tour. We had a FANTASTIC time! Thanks to Andrei, Paul and chat support for answering my myriad of questions! :-) Here's the skinny: Go to BigBus site and buy directly from their website. BigBus gives great support and if you buy from a third-party, I found the third party does not give as good support as BigBus does directly. We're grateful for bigbus managing all of the logistics, driving, and tickets, so we didn't have to worry about anything! Thanks big bus for another adventure and will use you again in other cities!

Yelp
The logistics of getting a ticket for the big bus and the communication of the staff/timing of the buses would be a solid 2 stars however these tours were awesome to see the most of the city as well as learn about it in the process. There are two bus loops the blue which is the beach loop which goes over the bridge and down over by south beach and back again, and there is the red line which is the city loop which goes around the city. They say that the city loop is one hour long and the beach loop and hour and a half. I would not listen to these times as they don't include traffic ect. You get free headphones to listen to a live guide or the option of a recorded guide a long the way. Make sure to listen to this as they tell you when you duck for branches if you are seated on the top level. Overall I think these tours are great and the fact you can hop off and hope back on is very nice. Lastly, they have an app however the tracking isn't always accurate we found out.

Yelp
Great city tour! I booked this tour through Expedia; it included a two day hop on hop off Bus ticket and a "millionaire's row" boat tour. A great value for this combination. I printed my vouchers ahead of time and presented them to the agent waiting at the bus stop close to my Miami hotel. We waited about ten minutes, the agent scanned our tickets and we boarded the bus. Headphones were available to grab close to the door. Luckily there were seats upstairs and it wasn't too hot or too sunny that day. I sat back and enjoyed an informative and fun tour of Miami. The audio commentary on the headphones is excellent (quite engaging and interesting). I thought the route taken was good and showcased some key tourist spots like: little Havana, Wynwood, south beach, mid beach, bayside marketplace, the design district and more! The boat tour included was equally as entertaining. Our guide was great and funny; the tour was thorough and fun. We took pictures at the dock and those were the perfect souvenirs! I would recommend Big Bus to all. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The tour was delightful. 5 star!

Mike W.

Yelp
We joined the 2-day Hop-on-hop-off bus, Everglades Experience and boat cruise at Miami. I sent questions to the customer service several times prior the trip and they responded promptly with good answers. While we were on their tours, the staff at Bayfront Park are very friendly and helpful. The bus driver took us to the Everglades was especially friendly and professional, he distributed our picture (took by Everglades staff before boarding the boat) to us at end of everglades air boat ride. The Captain on the air boat is wonderful, she is very friendly and professional. the Boat Cruse was also good experience for us since this is our first time visiting Miami. Thank them very much!

Yelp
One of the worse service I have ever gotten in my life. However, we were saved by Patricia a partner worker who represents Wetrek company, she help us and informed Miguel, a General Manager at Big Bus Company, who apologize for the sales representative lady behavior and also helped us by guiding us and helping me and my family get a comfortable experience . Etc...

Yelp
We had a wonderful time! Got on at Bayside Marketplace for the 11am tour. Panoramic rides only right now bc covid so make sure you go to the bathroom before hopping on We rode through south beach, mid beach, Midtown, wynwood, and overtown before making our first (and only) stop in Little Havanna. 20 mins there and then back through Brickell to the end. The whole thing lasted about two and a half hours. The audio was pre-recorded and there were new headphones supplied to listen along. The information was great and there was fun music in between. Only reason I'm pulling a star is because not all of the audio jacks worked, so my family had to split up in different rows to be able to find a plug that worked. I saw a couple other people had to do the same thing. You might just have to wiggle the base of the headphones around to get the sound to come through. Overall such a fun way to see all of the different energies in the neighborhoods that make up Miami. Super recommend :)

Denis D.

Yelp
No AC on bus, long wait times (we had to wait multiple busses since they were full), faulty headphone connectors, overpriced for this poor service, tourist trap, avoid

B J.

Yelp
Worst POS company ever. No AC (not working) on multiple busses. Think hot box. Driver chatting with people on the street while you bake to death. Driver selling tickets to people aboard the bus foe 20 minutes while we sit in the SUN. Sound system (audio tour) not working. AVOID at all costs. I'll be getting a full refund from these bastards.

Madelyn P.

Yelp
This place was HORRIBLE DO NOT GO HERE!!! When we first got to the pickup spot, they said our tickets weren't working- even though we had the confirmation and everything from their website. So, we had to buy the tickets AGAIN, which means we ended up paying double for our tickets. Then, on the bus our guide made a comment saying the bus wouldn't leave until everyone was back on it. So, we went and enjoyed the Everglades. We stayed with the group and followed with the activities. Upon going to load the bus, we didn't see it. Turns out the bus left us along with almost half of the group behind. 9 out of 22 people left behind. Nobody did a headcount or even a glance to make sure they had everyone. So, we had to pay for 2 (expensive) ubers all the way back to the pickup spot. We spoke to the MANAGER who PROMISED us a full refund for our horrible experience, but they only refunded us half. They were rude and unapologetic. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Great option for family of 7 with a 3 yo and 51 yo and all ages in between. My daughter downloaded the app and bought tickets online. Was very user friendly. She was able to track the Bus and let us know when it was going to arrive. We got on at Little Havana and took it to Bayside where we had to get off. The driver had to take lunch. We didn't want to get off but we had to. That was the only inconvenient part. There were free earbuds for audio to give a guided tour experience. Wrapped individually for COVID-19. Some jacks didn't work so some of us had to move around. We liked being on outside with open air that was very nice. We saw many points of interest we all wanted to check out. Prices were reasonable but a family group rate would have been nice. Driver was friendly. No restroom on bus so go before you board. Would highly recommend for an afternoon activity for a family who wants to sit and relax and enjoy riding around Miami.

Yelp
Lots of ground covered but not much info disseminated. There's a lot of silly chatter and bad music on the recorded "tour" and, at times, it wasn't synced with the location. A couple of the stops off the beach are sketchy with a homeless encampment at the Design District stop and no sign at the Wynwood Walls stop which is not that close to any of the murals. They seemingly don't check tickets after stop 1 so the one day ticket I bought on Groupon was used the next day too. This was the weekend of Art Basel so I expected crowded buses, but no problems encountered either day.

Yelp
This was a poor excuse for a hop on/off bus tour. The audio is a recording of people talking but you can barely hear them through the provided ear buds. The information provided was not interesting or informative nor did it make us want to hop off the bus in any area. Obviously, Miami is extremely hot and humid. During the day sitting directly in the sun on the roof is not great if you burn easily or just don't want that much heat. Sitting inside the bus was horrible since the air conditioning did not work on our first bus and was very inefficient on the next bus. So we sat inside with no air or breeze. The cost of this tour seemed high but we have gone on these types of tours before all over the world and have always enjoyed the information and sites. Getting off the bus there is absolutely nothing to experience besides more of the same city. There is no history or architecture that was presented in a way to make us want to get off and see. With the cost the tour it should include live information from someone that knows the area well and can provide better information. You can probably find better and cheaper self paced tours of the city over an app.

Yelp
You're not going to believe this ... but read on! - Blatant discrimination and racism. . Please read this review in its entirety, and you will understand why you need to stay away from both GoCity and their partner Big Bus Miami. . My wife and 2 kids were waiting in line at the 1680 Washington Ave, Miami bus stop, 30 minutes prior to departure waiting to be taken to the "Big Bus Miami: Everglades airboat tour" with the GoCity all-inclusive pass in hand (15 minutes earlier than the 15 minute posted requested time). After the bus had arrived and the driver was allowing passengers onto the bus, a woman butted in front of my wife and kids. My wife thought it was quite rude but she let it go. The driver was 6 feet away from this happening, and clearly witnessed this. . That in and of itself is not the issue. The problem is that the woman who had just butted in front of my family, then turned and waved on about 10 or so more people to join her in the line. At that point my wife needed to speak up because she was now aware that there may have been a risk that perhaps the bus was going to be getting too full. She then complained speaking in English, to the driver aswellas the woman who butted in front of her. At that point the bus driver and the woman who butted the line started to converse in Spanish. Once that conversation had ended the bus driver told my wife "We are full" "Come back at 2pm". He even went on to say that "Especially if you are not nice to people". My wife was shocked, as she was not unkind to anyone, she was simply bringing up the obvious, that the woman who butted the line should be the one who has to come back at 2pm, and not my family. This driver embarrassed my wife and my family in front of others and treated them as second class human beings and sent them on their way. . My family was only in Miami for 3 days and had that day planned out, so they were unable (and to be honest also had no interest at this point) to return at 2pm for the later tour. My wife was humiliated. This particular tour/excursion was the main reason that the day pass was purchased in the first place, as the kids were very excited to participate. Although my wife and 2 kids did participate by attending the "Duck Tours South Beach" excursion after this episode, the damage had been done and the scars are real. This type of treatment deeply hurts people, and the day was not enjoyable for them at all. As a matter of fact my kids were still confused and upset about the situation today (1 day later) . GoCity refused to offer me a full refund, which in this case would have made not only sound business sense, but sound moral sense also. . As I'm sure that anyone reading this has self respect and dignity for themselves and their family, I urge you to stay away from not only "GoCity" but "Big Bus Tours Miami" also.

Yelp
I normally avoid this stuff, but the fact that you can jump on and off as it makes continuous loops around Miami is gold. Use the app to track the bus and it's a convenient way to visit the city landmarks. Did the bay cruise, could take or leave it. But the two day bus pass really paid for itself.

Yelp
If you are looking for a bus ride around Miami You found it Calling it a tour is false advertising Over priced x2 Shame we have used hop on hop off in lots of other city's and loved it But if you are looking for a general bus ride of attractions it beats driving in Miami Ummm can't recommend, but for tourists like us........maybe

Yelp
I had a horrible experience with the Big Bus Tour and I would not recommend!! I was visiting for vacation and decided to go on the tour The bus NEVER showed up to one of the pick-up spots, which was advertised on their website. My friend and I had to Uber to another pick up spot ( Bayside Market Place stop) to get on the tour bus. Once we arrived to the pick up spot ( Bayside Market), we encountered an employee who was so rude to us and not helpful at all. He accused my friend of not having a ticket and he was very dismissive of us ( we bought are tickets online and showed him on our smart phone). In fact, when we asked to speak to a manager, he lied and told us he was the manager and gave us a fake name! ( I've included a picture) Our live tour guide, Ethan was great, but we could barely hear him through the earphones and the bus sound system. The tour guide does not stand in front and use a microphone so hearing him was difficult. Due to the disorganization of the company, the customer service and poor tour logistics, I would not recommend! Save your money!!!!! I only gave one star because I couldn't give zero.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed. We do a lot of big bus around the world even, as we travel. This was the least impressive tour we have been on. Really not much to see or hear about in Miami.

Yelp
never in my life did I expect this from big bus tours. I worked for this company in dc and it was a pleasure by co workers were great. however Chris and Kimberly from bayside market place are rude. Chris grabbed me by writ's and was very hostile towards me. Kimberly the manager refused to give me his name and I got it from another employee. I have reach out to the corporate office no response. On top of that when I'm making my report to the police Chris got off the bus and began to still call me a b*** and threaten my fiancé.

Yelp
Was stranded at the end of night because the last bus never arrived. We had been doing really well & were enjoying our time on the big bus until it came time to leave. We arrive 45 minutes before the last bus is supposed to arrive and ended up waiting an hour. No bus arrived. 20 or more people were waiting as well. I finally paid for an Uber to come get us. Attached is a photo of all the people waiting for the last bus.
