Do not let the exterior deceive you! Clean and nice inside. Food was very good! The main entrance is through the patio on the back, but if you use the front door you just walk through to the host station on the other side. Not too far from Six Flags so when we got rained out, we went there for lunch and to escape the rain.

I hadn't been here in 15+ years and only live 10 minutes away. My wife and I arrived and I immediately messaged my sons and their families that we need to come back with the grandkids. Of which we shall return..... .....Then the unexpected happened. As we left, I suggested to the bartenders Mike outside, at the outdoor bar which was empty (what a shame), they should have a band. He explained that the Debbie Downers of Wildwood did not want it. But he recommended the Speak Easy. "A Speak Easy? I echoed. "YES SIR" he replied. Then a fine lady escorted us upstairs. It was marvelous! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It was awesome and what a gem! Hope the owner(s) realize what they have. Promote it. No one knows you.

Amazing food and service was phenomenal. Only thing when I got home and saw the 10$ piece of pie I got Togo, just was sad and not worth the money. Over all I will be back.

Historic, if those walls could talk! First experience there, really enjoyed it. Friendly staff, loved the food. The fried green beans were amazing. Wife had chicken pot pie, it was excellent. I had pulled pork and it was fabulous. We will be back.

Great food! That toasted lasagna is so good and enough for another day! The real treat is the upstairs speakeasy with all the delicious cocktails!!!

So I'm not from the city, but apparently this gem has been here for YEARS!! Talk about a diamond in the rough. There are so many wonderful things about this place. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the back entrance. We were seated on the outdoor patio which had heaters. They had booths and tables which is always nice to have that choice. Our waitress Emily was honestly one of the best waitresses I've ever had at a restaurant. She had great recommendations from the menu. We tried their nachos for an app and they were great, we forgot to take a picture, we both had the burger for our meal, he had fries, and I tried the mac and cheese. And for dessert we shared a piece of gooey butter cake cheesecake. Once we were finished with our amazing meal we were informed they have, wait for it..............a speakeasy!!! And talk about totally cool! I've never been in a speakeasy and I loved it. The drinks were a little high priced, but strong, so I guess worth the price? I'm not a big drinker. But it was like we stepped back into prohibition time. From the furniture, to the decor, to the bartender. Everything was perfect and fit together very well. So if you are near Wildwood MO do yourself a favor and go try Big Chief Roadside. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Amazing food and service. Waiters are always happy to help and serve. Super good nachos with lots of good toppings. Fried banana peppers are excellent definitely would recommend. But don’t forget the cookie pie! Super gooey cookie with vanilla and chocolate sauce on top!
