Six of us went here for lunch. Had a great server who was friendly and really attentive. Food was well prepared and fresh. The southwest salad and house dressing for it was really good. The people who got a Rubin said it was very good. Probably better to park in back rather than in front and come in the rear entrance. that’s where you get seated from anyway. Nice outdoor seat area and back if the weather is nice. At the very back of the back parking lot, you can see the big chief looking at you through the fence.

Google
I can not stop talking about how great the food and service was. The staff were so kind and attentive. The decor gives the small town esthetic that i adore so much. Between this restaurant and the surrounding nature trails, i was ready to buy a house in the area and we aren't even in the market!

Google
Do not let the exterior deceive you! Clean and nice inside. Food was very good! The main entrance is through the patio on the back, but if you use the front door you just walk through to the host station on the other side. Not too far from Six Flags so when we got rained out, we went there for lunch and to escape the rain.

Google
We have been here many times before during the week for lunch. That was pretty good but we went there on Saturday at around 2:30. My $15 burger & fries were good. Husband's chicken sandwich was good but on toast? He didn't like the potato salad and there wasn't much of it for $15. I ordered an old fashioned. It was served in a small glass absolutely filled with ice and I'm pretty sure it was a shot of bourbon with a cherry for $9. Just disappointing.

Google
Smoked meatloaf was novel and tasty. Greanbeans were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My wife says the burger is one of the best around. Environs are cool given the history. We did not check out the speakeasy behind the phone booth. Great service.

Google
I hadn't been here in 15+ years and only live 10 minutes away. My wife and I arrived and I immediately messaged my sons and their families that we need to come back with the grandkids. Of which we shall return..... .....Then the unexpected happened. As we left, I suggested to the bartenders Mike outside, at the outdoor bar which was empty (what a shame), they should have a band. He explained that the Debbie Downers of Wildwood did not want it. But he recommended the Speak Easy. "A Speak Easy? I echoed. "YES SIR" he replied. Then a fine lady escorted us upstairs. It was marvelous! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It was awesome and what a gem! Hope the owner(s) realize what they have. Promote it. No one knows you.

Google
We’ve had dinner at Big Chief Roadhouse and drinks in their speakeasy before, and those experiences were great. Unfortunately, this latest visit completely soured us, and I doubt we’ll be back. We checked in with the host for the speakeasy and were told it would be a 5–10 minute wait with two groups ahead of us. Instead, we waited roughly 50–55 minutes, during which more than two groups were sent up ahead of us. While we were waiting, we sat at the restaurant bar. During that time, the bartenders were too busy taking shots to acknowledge that we needed our check, which only added to the frustration. When our turn finally came, a group larger than ours, who had checked in about 20 minutes after we did was sent up before us. When we were finally brought upstairs, the speakeasy hostess informed us that it was standing room only. What’s especially frustrating is that the group that checked in after us and was brought up first was given the last available seats at the bar. Had we been told this upfront, we would have made a different decision. When we told the hostess we were leaving, her response of “okay, have a good night” was delivered with a noticeably rude tone. We’ve enjoyed Big Chief in the past, but the excessive wait, poor communication, being skipped in line, and the attitude from staff left a very bad impression.

Google
Amazing food and service. Waiters are always happy to help and serve. Super good nachos with lots of good toppings. Fried banana peppers are excellent definitely would recommend. But don’t forget the cookie pie! Super gooey cookie with vanilla and chocolate sauce on top!

Yelp
Went for dinner and drinks with some friends and had a wonderful time. De'Ja was our server and she took fantastic care of us. She offered some solid recommendations and as it was our first time there, we appreciated that. Hubby had the smoked pork steak and I missed a great photo opportunity with that entree. It was a large piece of meat! He wished he had asked for the sauce to be on the side, just due to how much they poured on the pork steak, but that was not a dealbreaker. I had the Ranchero chicken and it was a solid sandwich. The sweet potato fries were good, but could have been a little hotter and crispier. We ordered manhattans and at $10, they were good enough (they did use Luxardo cherries and not maraschino cherries, which is a plus!). After dinner, we went upstairs to the speakeasy. It's a cute process, where you are escorted to a phone booth in the back of the restaurant and told to dial a number on the rotary phone hanging in the booth. You enter through a door there and head upstairs to the speakeasy. The vibe upstairs is comfortable and intimate with couches and dim lighting. The Manhattans we ordered upstairs were $15 each, but were definitely made by a higher caliber bartender and made with better ingredients, so we were happy to pay that price. Overall, this restaurant and speakeasy are great neighborhood spots and I hope to return next time we are in the area.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and dog friendly, but the food and cocktails are average. The staff is good, but find the bartenders seem to be bothered by your presence and requests. If you like patio seating where you can take your dog, I'd give it a try.

Yelp
Been a few years since vs e we were here and was disappointed because they didn't really have to many bbq options available. Had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and purchased an extra side. The pork was smoked well but the sauce on top was more vinegar than sweet as I ordered. The beans were very good but the potato salad had a very unusual taste that was very unpleasant.
google avatar

Alison V.

Yelp
I've been going to Big Chief Roadhouse for years. They have great food and a really good staff. I got the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries - very good, although I do wish the BBQ sauce was a bit thicker. My husband got the smoked pork steak and baked potato with green beans and a salad. There was a LOT of food on his plate, but he polished it off. He also wished that the BBQ was thicker and had been cooked into the meat instead of just poured on the side. Some past favorites are the Southwest salad and the toasted lasagna. They have a nice outdoor seating area where dogs are welcome as well as a lot of space inside.

Yelp
A historical stop along Old Route 66, BCR has been serving transcontinental travelers decent meals since 1929 (it's noted to have attracted legends such as Babe Ruth and Al Capone?). Just off the beaten path, you'll find casual dining ambience with smiling, friendly and attentive service and comforting home-cooked dishes. Overall, a solid 3.5+ for my experience; expect to pay around $12-25 for meals depending your hunger and craving. A full bar area plus Patio and main dining room seating. Tried the Fried Green Beans as a starter; served hot from kitchen with wasabi ranch (or regular ranch) dipping sauce. App was complementary with having a cold beverage and watching football! Tasty, shareable app (good varieties to choose) for 2. For dinner, ordered their house Chili (good flavors, heavy beans) "loaded up" and then shared a house-made Albacore Tuna Melt on Sourdough with Cheddar, Tomato and Bacon. Nice combo sandwich served with choice of side (picked house-made chips - crispy and fresh). It was solid for a local eatery, but I would've enjoyed my sandwich more if "grilled" crispier (seemed more toasty) like making one at home. But lots of good menu options to try ... crafted Burgers, local Pizza, full Dinner entrees, Salads and more - next time i'll try a Burger, Chicken Pot Pie or the Country Fried Steak. Check out BCR if exploring old Route 66 in Pond, MO. Enjoy!

Yelp
Great food, great service, large portions, and specialty cocktails! Met friends for dinner and there was a good selection for appetizers and entrees. I had the smoked pork steak with wild rice and seasoned fries.

Yelp
This restaurant is big with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is also big offering stuff mushrooms, nachos, poutine, potato skins, wings, toasted raviolis, soup, salad, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, flatbreads, pot pies, salmon, etc. Blueberry pom martini $7.50 - Didn't taste much blueberry, but it was refreshing. Fried green beans $12 - Crispy and delicious! They are addictive and you may want your own basket. Reuben $13 - Served on marble rye with a good amount of smoked pastrami. Came with pickles and fries. Turkey Club $14 - Good sandwich. Carrot Cake $10 - Good, not great. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

Yelp
We knew there was a speakeasy but unfortunately it was closed on the weekend when we went. It didn't state on their website nor social media. We ordered the ribs and a hamburger. We thought the ribs were tasty, however the burger was okay. Our waitress pretty much ignored us where we had to let her know we are ready to order and get the check. I would not recommend going back here for the food, but would be a good experience for the atmosphere.

Yelp
I had big hopes for this place and was very disappointed. Service was good and friendly but the food was just ok at best. The fried green beans were really good and so was my burger topped with pulled pork. My wife's chicken sandwich looked tasty but was very dry. My daughter ordered the loaded baked potato. All it had was a baked potato and some rubbery meat. It was supposed to be brisket but was more like 2 day old roast beef . There was no cheese, butter, sour cream all the things you would think would be on a loaded baked potato. Plus the cost of that potato was $23.00!!! I heard some good things about this place but it just wasn't that good. Maybe just an off day for them.

A. H.

Yelp
Very disappointing when the consistency does not last. Had the Tomahawk salad tonight. It was warm. They skimped on the toppings. It was much smaller than the one I had at lunch earlier in the week. And it lacked extra onions that I requested. It was take out so there was nothing I could do to fix it. But it left a bad impression.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in a year and a half. Brought some friends from out of town because I remember having a great meal here last time. Tuesday night was steak night, when we all four ordered steak, we were told there were no more steaks. So then we opted for pizza only to be told that the pizza oven was broken. So everybody readjusted what they wanted, and it took over an hour for the food to get to us. I finally got up and asked where our food was? No explanation, no apologies along the way for the extreme wait, no offering of any kind for anything to make up for the bad experience. I spoke to the manager, who was nice enough, when I said something about at the very least we should have been offered something, he then said, would I like a piece of cake? I told him no the waitress was the one who should've offered us something. And frankly, his offer after I had already made the suggestion was pretty lame. Food was pretty mediocre as well. My friends husband got the chicken pot pie. It was more like a bowl of chicken soup, not creamy and thick like the filling of a chicken pot pie should be, but more like a thinner soup broth with a piece of puff pastry on top. My burger was just your basic burger, I had asked the waitress to make sure my fries came hot, and they arrived lukewarm. Burger was lukewarm too. But when I asked for new (hot) fries, she brought them out pronto and they were piping hot at that point. Overall, just a very, very mediocre experience. Will not be going again.

Holly S.

Yelp
This was good enough food. It didn't knock my socks off but I ate, was full and I have no complaints. Service was good and our dog sat with us on the outdoor patio/bar. It was only after I ate did I go inside. It was kind of dark and dingy and a bit dirty. It just didn't give me high quality vibes.

Yelp
This is one of those classic Route 66 restaurants, and among the most popular in the state of Missouri. I went there twice (to give a fair review) and both times I had a real good experience. The first time I wasn't that hungry as I stopped in for lunch. I got the tunafish on toast and fries. The second time I decided to "go all out" and get one of their horseshoes. That's where I had to deduct one star: because it wasn't really a horseshoe, in my terms. The sandwich was good, but their horseshoes do not come with bread or cheese. I don't understand that; but whatever. But they gave me a decent serving of pulled pork and fries, and it also came with baked beans and coleslaw on the side. Service was great both times, and I would love to try other things on their menu. But be warned about the horseshoes!

Darlene G.

Yelp
Corn chowder soup was warmed up corn starch, awful. I was hoping this place would be good.

Jaclyn L.

Yelp
This place was amazing My tuna melt was so good I didn't even want to try my husband's and he felt the same about his roast beef. The ceasar was great too! The server was lovely and knew her stuff. Very friendly and welcoming. Guess they are taking down the outside patio covering down next week, bet that's nice. Really enjoyed the inside too. Cool and relaxing ambiance. Def go back here if we're ever in the area

Yelp
First... large selection of cold beer Second... eclectic mix of hardy appetizers. SW Nachos and Poutine stood out to us and were excellent Third...Stone Oven pizza. Italy to Buffalo to the Mediterranean, they have it. Fourth... smoked meat entrees. And, they know how to smoke. Went for a special occasion early on a Wednesday and was treated like a king. The drinks, apps, entrees, service were all great. I have been here about a half dozen times over 10 years and it has been superb every single time.

Yelp
Fabulous outdoor patio, good food and now includes a speakeasy! Here you get the best of everything. From great appetizers (soft pretzels w queso, and teriyaki wings) are our favorites! The wing varieties are full of flavor and the pretzels are soft and delicious! Hannah our server was outstanding. She was very efficient, friendly and kept the water coming as it was a hot evening! I had the Mediterranean Flatbread which was full of toppings and just the right size! Our friend ordered the Horseshoe which came with your choice of smoked brisket or smoked pulled pork with fries, beans, coleslaw and your choice of barbecue sauce. Our other friend ordered a stacked burger and my husband had the brisket sandwich! Then our friends told us about the speakeasy upstairs! We had no idea one opened here a few months ago! A little red velour rope blocks off a secret entrance (a phone booth). They limit the number of patrons upstairs at one time so they call up to see if there is room for us. Once we get they ok we go through the phone booth and up the stairs. As we get to the top we are transformed into a new world, dark walls, leather couches, big screen tvs and a gorgeous bar! It was a gorgeous night so we went out to the rooftop deck where we were greeted with couches, hightop tables and gas fire pits set with the backdrop of gorgeous views of the sunset. They serve specialty cocktails, and offer cigars. No food. Though you can enjoy that downstairs before or after enjoying some time upstairs! A local favorite with a welcome new twist make this Wildwood staple even better! Check hours for the speakeasy.
google avatar

Scott R.

Yelp
Checked out their new speakeasy. For a place that's supposed to be a "secret" there sure was a wait to get in. Plan ahead, we had to wait an hour before we were allowed up. Got there at 7:45, didn't get up to the bar until close to 9. I get it, it's the "new, shiny" thing. Was it worth it? Heck yes it was. They take you through a secret entrance through a phone booth, up a set of stairs and into the new bar. Very cool looking. No food. You can't bring drinks from downstairs. All their specialty cocktails are on the menu they hand you. I had a couple Paper Planes. They were wonderful. Very nice selection of bourbon and whiskey. My party of 5 sat out on their rooftop deck. There are a couple couches out there surrounding a fire pit. Cool concept. Friendly service. Definitely a spot to check out. Absolutely no kids.

Yelp
Step back in time at this roadhouse. The building was built in the 1920s sitting right on old Route 66. The decor is well, old, which sets the stage. We saw this place featured on Fox 2 morning news and decided to give it a try. They featured toasted lasagna on the program so that's what we tried, along with the Big Chief Salad with bacon, onion ranch dressing. The food was very good and the toasted lasagna was very unexpected based on typical menus at a roadhouse. Very flavorful and filling. We noticed they serve desserts from the world famous Blue Owl in Kimmswick which is interesting. We were too full from our lunch to try any dessert. The service was a little slow, but to be expected since we noticed only two servers for a large dining space. Just be patient with them and enjoy conversations with your table companions as you wait. It was a pleasant dining experience and a nice place to drive to in beautiful Wildwood.

Yelp
Always wonderful. Great service and food. Beautiful Sunday afternoon on their patio for Lunch

Yelp
Wanna pay an absurd amount of money for an average amount of very average food while being rushed and talked down to by your server in a loud atmosphere? Look no further. This place will exceed those expectations. This is a business and nothing else. Our server was the owner/manager and she evidently doesn't like families coming in. If you have a bad experience, I doubt you'll have anyone to complain to who cares.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
Love this place! The seating outside is wonderful when the weather is nice. The weight staff is great.

Yelp
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Previous review, Sep., 2023 - - - - - - - - Fantastic restaurant - crew/team, food... so much house-made goodness! - - - Our son requested his birthday dinner at Big Chief and the staff was helpful reserving us a table for all 8 of us - our family and the family of his girlfriend... picnic table inside - well organized... and the staff handled the large order quite nicely. We all enjoyed - Carnivore flatbread "house made pizza sauce, mozzarella provolone blend, bacon, hamburger, pepperoni, sausage" - The Horseshoe, with brisket ... "your choice of smoked pulled pork or smoked brisket(add $3) served over a bed of french fries with your choice of sweet or spicy barbecue and served with baked beans and cole slaw" - The Big John (a first time for fish... it was good, on its own, and bettie with the malted vinegar!) with a side of fries "seasoned and breaded cod filet, deep fried, and served on a hoagie with tartar on the side" - the house-flavored fries... some of the best in town... also great to talk home, chop up, and fry in the pan... then put under your eggs / omelette - such a fantastic breakfast with "Big Chief hash browns" - dessert of blue owl carrot cake, with forks for all to share! - the birthday night... great location for fun and friendship and presents! Thank you, Ashley, for serving us for this wonderful birthday dinner! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We have visited many times since 2019; apologies or not having updated my review. We have sat inside and outside. We have thoroughly enjoyed - the staff, especially Momma and Cassandra - pork steaks "a st. louis tradition - thick cut pork steak served with your choice of two sides and choice of barbecue sauce" - the horseshoe, typically with pulled pork ... "your choice of smoked pulled pork or smoked brisket(add $3) served over a bed of french fries with your choice of sweet or spicy barbecue and served with baked beans and cole slaw" - poutine ... "bed of french fries topped with roasted garlic cream sauce, bacon, tomatoes, and green onions" - burgers several flavors / styles - Ranchero chicken marinated and blackened chicken topped with pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, bacon, ranchero sauce, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough - flatbread pizzas several flavors / styles - the house-flavored fries... some of the best in town... also great to talk home, chop up, and fry in the pan... then put under your eggs / omelette - such a fantastic breakfast with "Big Chief hash browns" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Previous review, Aug., 2019 - - - - - - - - Great family dinner! We have visited Big Chief over the years, typically at off-hours on a weekend afternoon, on our way home from Babler State Park or Rockwoods Reservation. The food then was typically pizza or wings, and they were consistently good. This past weekend, on Friday night, we did walk at Rockwoods just before dinner time, and I called to see if we could get reservations. We ended up going to our parish's fish fry, but we did go to Big Chief Saturday night. We had a fantastic time and great food. The restaurant was full, and we thankfully secured a table quickly. My wonderful wife enjoyed the beef brisket plate, and the waitress worked to make sure that her other items were gluten free, recommending several substitutions to my wife... that was a big help! Our daughter, son and I all spit three things... wings, Ozark poutine, and the rib plate. WOW! The wings were as good tonight as on previous visits. Our son knew about poutine from class or somewhere... seemed new for me. The menu notes about poutine: "bed of french fries topped with a roasted garlic cream sauce, bacon, tomatoes, and green onions." These were good! all of the ingredients work well together, and the bacon being a top-notch bacon (not fatty) made the biggest difference in pulling it all together. Top it all off with the carafe of Arnold Palmer and we left with smiles. We'll be back! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Yelp
Have been going to Big Chiefs for years. Love their food and they have the best staff. They have a new menu that has 3 choices that change weekly. I had the bowl of the week tonight and my husband had the butcher block. Both were delicious. The bartender Patrick makes the best Lemon Drop Martini around. Love your new menu. Looking forward to next week's specials. BTW just voted best fried chicken in west county.
google avatar

Kaitlin S.

Yelp
Big Chief is always a great time! The food never fails and I'm always ready for a cocktail here.

Jay N.

Yelp
I really want to like this place. But I've tried them again and again, and I just don't care for their food. It's not bad, but it's just nothing special. Same for their drinks. And if you sit outside you very likely will smell the sewage from the sewage treatment area which sits in the back of the property near the parking lot. The service was great. But don't go expecting the food to be anything other than okay.
google avatar

Maricris I.

Yelp
Yummy! I'm so glad I found this place. I love the atmosphere very cozy and very unique. The service was absolutely amazing and the food delicious. I had the ribs with two sides. The meat was perfection same as the beans. The kiddo loved her lasagna which was very unique looking lol. The tomato bisque was delicious. Hubby had the burger but I can't recall the name. He really liked it for it had pulled pork and string onion rings. Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Melaina C.

Yelp
We love the smoked salmon salad here. So unique & so good! The salmon is always cooked perfectly & has a great smoked flavor. The dressing is really good too! For dinner, I got the smoked pork chop that came with 2 sides: mashed potatoes & mixed veggies. It also comes with soup or salad, but I got another side instead since we ordered the salmon salad to start. So I also got mac & cheese. The pork chop was wonderful! Cooked well & still moist. It came with an apricot jalapeño glaze that was so tasty! The mashed potatoes were fluffy & smooth but were quite bland. The mac & cheese had a thick cheese sauce but was also bland. The veggies were a mixture of Zucchini & squash & these were seasoned well. For dessert, I got the pumpkin cheesecake. It was just ok. It was fluffy but not very sweet & was bland tasting - not a lot of pumpkin flavor or spices.
google avatar

Christy N.

Yelp
My husband and I got there at 4:30 which was a perfect time before the dinner rush. We sat in the bar area and our server/bartender was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and my blueberry pomegranate martini was yummy! We love historic buildings and are fans of Route 66 so this place was right up our alley... loved the way it looked inside and out. We definitely plan on going back!

Alan S.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. Reasonable prices and nice portions. The outside patio was a great place to have dinner. If you haven't been to Big Chief before, recommend that you park in the back side.

Cassie A.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I chose to stop by for an early lunch during a visit to town, and I am so glad we did. We got a bison stampede burger and the reuben with fries, and both were beyond delicious. Probably one of the best burgers either of us have had. The service was good and the waitresses were both very friendly as well.

Lisa F.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch today, very good. Wild rice soup was delicious and pizza yummy. Please bring back the banana peppers appetizer!!!
google avatar

Wanda H.

Yelp
The cocktail I ordered was sweeter than I expected, and less tart, so not the best for me. The sandwich was amazing though. SO MANY different flavors and textures goin' on! AND, I cut it in half so had another meal later. The waiter suggested the green beans as the best side (and it wasn't even listed on the menu) and they were AWESOME! Great flavor, so I appreciated his opinion. Service was good and ambiance was casual and relaxed. Overall, glad we stopped in.

Ashley T.

Yelp
Not dog friendly would not allow us to sit outside with our pup. Manager was not even understanding of the situation
google avatar

Miranda G.

Yelp
This place was awesome. I have only been once, but they have a huge menu and tons of options. My friend got the fried lasagna and safe to say I was jealous. My sandwich was delicious and full of flavor. Everyone got something different on the menu and we all enjoyed our choices. Food did take a while to come out, but there was 8 of us. So good for big groups, but be ready to wait (it's totally worth it) I would definitely go back and I would have to try one of their dessert cakes. They are massive and look amazing. The service was good and I really enjoyed the whole experience.
google avatar

Derrick G.

Yelp
This is a great local pub and restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. This time of year outdoor seating is incredible. This was my first visit and what impressed me the most was the staff and service. The restaurant was very busy, but I still received superb service. I was in the mood for pizza and the pizza I received was delicious. The prices were very affordable, food was delicious and service was exceptional. This is a great establishment.

Renee I.

Yelp
Gave this place a try after doing a hike in Rockwood and so glad we did. We sat on the back patio which was great on such a pleasant afternoon. Several TVs out there too so football lovers don't have to miss anything. Sunday special was smoked meatloaf with mashed and green beans. My husband was in heaven. I got the smoked salmon salad and it did not disappoint! I ate the whole thing! Not my usual. Service was good despite being fairly busy. The one thing they need to work on is women's restroom. It was in need of a deep cleaning. Well behaved dogs are allowed on the patio. They have large parking lot too.
google avatar

Leslie H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Sunday lunch and sat on the patio with our group of 6. Our server was attentive and helpful. After debating on a few different menu items, I finally ordered the Southwest Nachos with brisket, and they were delicious! It had been several years since we had been here (mostly because it's not on our normal path), and I'm reminded that we need to come here more often!
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
I got the bison burger cooked medium and I tried the baked beans as my side. The burger was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The baked beans were in a thick molasses sauce and were delicious. The building looks old and feels nostalgic. The waitress didn't smile once, I don't know if that was her shtick. We ate in the main dining room but I checked out the back patio and I can see having a lot of fun watching sports out there.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Came here for Father's Day, and it didn't disappoint! The lasagna is definitely a hit - I can't figure out how they assembled it! Good and fast service. Plenty of parki

Yelp
Good family place / food is great for kids but a bit ordinary for adults. We had an after soccer meal on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect place for that occasion. My salad came out after my main course but that was ok.

Great service and good food- we were there for our son's event and searched this place not expecting much. It was great and had a nice outdoor patio.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place with a touch of old-school Route 66 charm, Big Chief Roadhouse is worth checking out. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel like you've been transported back in time - and who knows, maybe Patrick Swayze will even make an appearance! I've eaten at Big Chief Roadhouse several times with my extended family, and I have to say, the food is consistently delicious. Whether you're in the mood for a classic spinach artichoke dip or a hearty tuna melt, you won't be disappointed. And if you're a fan of Yuengling beer, you'll be happy to know that they have it on draft. Now, I will say that service can be a bit hit-or-miss when sitting at the bar. But overall, the staff is warm and courteous, and the prices are very reasonable. All in all, Big Chief Roadhouse is an excellent spot for a casual meal with friends or family - I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Good selection of food and it always tastes good. Plenty of seating in a really cool historic building.

Yelp
Best chicken sandwich (Ranchero Chicken) I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolute flavor bomb and my wife and I were blown away by that sandwich! Would recommend to anybody

Yelp
The country fried state was the best I had in years. The stampede burger was pretty good. Deep fried banana peppers were delicious. The roast beef sandwich though was one of the worst things I've had in months. Extremely dry, bland and tough. Almost ruined our whole meal

Yelp
Hubby and I went on a weekend date here a couple months ago. After seeing the pics on Yelp we had too! We walked in and were greeted and sat right away. All the employees that helped us were friendly. It was a Sunday with a happy hour menu (woo hoo!) so we ordered the pretzels and cheese - delicious! I ordered the lasagna (because hello the pictures!). It tasted as good as it looked! Hubby ordered the nachos and they seemed a bit plain and ordinary to me. I tasted them and they were average.

Yelp
The food makes for nice eating but we like the atmosphere and location. We mostly like nice days so we can sit on the patio. The service has always been good and friendly.
