Very nice theatre - it was clean & old school classic vibe & seats were very comfy. You don’t always need recliners to enjoy. I loved my experiences there!!

Been here like twice and it felt underwhelming of how the theater was. Really small screen and the seats were not great as they were outdated. The snacks were somewhat good but could have been better. They should really expand their size and how amenities in terms of comfort.

The hall is much smaller than I expected but it was nice. The overall rating I would give this place is a 3/5 because the restrooms are not clean and they are basically falling apart. The staff is nice enough. One good thing is that it is wheelchair accessible. I had a good time and I would visit again. The snack area could be better and more cleaned. The restrooms need to be completely remodeled. Thank you, Best wishes for everyone.

We went there to watch umroayar. Though the cinema is big but in very bad condition. There was only one attendend. Washroom were super dirty with nasty smell. Chair were crocked. Loved the movie but I wish the cinema was kept well. It's sad they closed Queens location, it was way clean and well kept, miss Bombay theaters by Big Cinema!!!

Good movie collection! Needs serious improvement on the sound systems and cleanliness- with all the big TVs and Projectors in the market, having such a tiny screen wouldn’t help in the long run. Hope things change!

The movie screen looks like my home tv screen. Because on my tv screen one of my kid spilled some milk and the stain is visible. Not sure what stain on the movie screen though😆😆

This better should close ASAP worst theater ever I been then got no food all mouse are running here and there and are in popcorn as well and smell really bad.

Great clean theater. Family owned and very friendly. Most affordable than any other movie theater in the area. We went with our family and loved it. We will be back for sure. Of you have kids with Special Needs they are very accommodating and understanding.

I often come here with the little ones to watch movies. The place is always clean and never really that crowded. They always have a good selection of things to buy as well. Whenever a movie is on we want to see, we'll often come to this lcoation. Worth a visit if you havent' been here already.

I rarely write reviews... but felt I needed to share this - Filthy bathrooms and cinema - no toilet paper, paper towels, dirty floors, limited lighting. Ruins the experience - especially since they are charging full price for movie tickets, food, etc.

Very courteous staff. Nice popcorn. Great for the regional movies . Great location. Famous Pizza around the corner.

This is good for Bollywood and South Indian films -- AKA films that wouldn't show anywhere else in NJ. My sisters and I were able to get tickets for a movie that had only been out two weeks, but this was the only theatre in Jersey showing it. It is small!! But the demand for these movies isn't that large, given how short of a run time they have. They have samosas which I thought was funny and fitting. It wasn't messy at all when I went -- but my sisters and I were the only ones in the theatre lol. I had a pleasant experience.

They screen regional movies . But they should really add baby's changing table and make the restrooms better , also get the food quality better

Worst theater I've ever been to. It smelled so bad and I was itchy the entire movie. Also the chairs had graffiti on them. Definitely wasn't cleaned.

Great place to watch movies! The place is clean and not crowded at all. You can get your own privacy and your children are safe. The staff is well mixed and friendly. The owners are really heartwarming and have things changed around here. I saw the reviews too but they date back to 2012 or 2014. Now in 2022 things have become better you can enjoy freely. If you and your friends are lucky enough to be the only ones in the show. You can enjoy a private screen and do whatever you like at a dirt-cheap price.

I can't exactly say this this theatre is organized. Nor can I say that the customer service is top notch, but they most certainly are the cheapest theatre in town and probably within at least a 20 mile radius. I've been here twice now, both times on a Sunday night, both times only $8 a ticket. The first time I came in, the young man behind the counter provided me a ticket which had the theatre number on it. As I walked up to the theatre, another movie was just letting out. Once everyone left, I walked in and waited for my movie to start. In the meantime another young man came in and began cleaning the theatre. He informed myself and two other customers that we were in the wrong theatre. After we went back up to the ticket counter, we were informed that we were in the right theatre. I then returned, sat down, and the movie began, even without previews. The second time I came here, I sat in the theatre for about 20 minutes before the previews even began to roll, but once the picture was running, it was a great experience. So both times, the movie started late, but both times there was barely anyone in the theatre, and it was only $8! So they aren't the fanciest, nicest, or most customer oriented theatre, but they do one thing that most movie theatres fail to do: show a movie at an affordable price.

Very disappointing movie theatre. The screen and hall is very small!! And on top on of that they are charging $11 for such a bad experience. I wish I would have read Yelp reviews before booking. Would never come here again!

Do not go here! The theater is terrible. The seats are very uncomfortable since it's on a slope. The tickets are over priced. The phone was out of service when called. Over heard a few people complaining about the same. The theater name has changed but no signs of it outside, it's still called big cinemas. Five minutes after having entered the theater we requested if we could leave and get a refund for the tickets but the person working at the counter was adamant that they do not give refunds even thought the movie hadn't started. I could go on and on about the complaints but you'll get my point. Please go to any other theater but this one.

SAMOSAS IN THE MOVIE THEATRE! ...maybe I'm too white and this isn't really exciting to anybody not corn-raised in America's heartland.

The best theater specializing in Indian films that I have ever been to in my life. They sell samosas in the concession stand. SAMOSAS! If you want to see over-the-top dancing and shameless plagiarism of popular American plots/directing styles, then this is your new favorite movie theater.

Worst place , don't ever go there. Municipality toilet is far better than this theater. It's better to wait and watch a movie in home rather than going to theater , I saw cockroaches , worst speaker system.

INDIAN MOVIE THEATER. All I care is that there are Indian movies playing in a theatre! Wohooooooo!!!! I loved my first experience watching an indian movie here. Didnt know what they were saying because the translations were cut off. Who cares...I figured out from just watching the movie. Winds up that I can read people no matter what language they speak! Hahaha. Yelp did not exist. Found this place the hard way-on my own! :) Now I found it on yelp to review it! Funneeeeee! If anyone finds any other Indian movie theaters, dont forget to message me!!! I want to know where else there is one.

My family & I go there often & it feels like going to the cinemas in India! The staff is super sweet && i always enjoy going there!!

Shadiest place for dolby cinema price(13$). The staff is rude and unorganized too. I would appreciate some care taken for the screens and some investment done to better the situation and be fair to the customer. Please avoid ..

Filthy place. I guess they only clean it like once a month. Used bottles, wrappers, popcorn lying all over the floor. Broken chairs covered with garbage bags, filthy rest rooms-the list is endless. Guess people dont have choice as this is the only place where one can catch Indian movies

The only reason they are still in business is because they mostly play Indian movies. The price of $12 - $18 per person for most South Indian (Telugu) films is ridiculous. This theater does not have stadium seating and a good sound system which is a big let down.

the only reason i visit theater because it plays hindi,tamil,telugu movie's (other being wife cant wait till the DVDs is released ). every visit i never felt i was watching it in a theater, it was more like a private screening. Would always prefer waiting for DVD and watching at home rather than paying for expensive tickets. car parking is good and of course 6$ Wednesday are always tempting

They are a little limited on their typical US Blockbusters, and the theater has typical prices. Lookout for $6 tickets on bargain Wednesday!

I would give this theater 0 star if I can. I went on an hour drive to this theater to watch an Indian movie after checking timing on fandango and when I got there I was told that there is no movie for that particular time and they also mentioned their not affiliated with fandango. Ridiculous that they still didn't manage to remove their name from fandango. Bathrooms are extremely dirty and theater sound sucks as well. Never going back there again

They need to improve air quality, speakers volume and the seats preferably recliners like everywhere else.

Big cinemas is great specifically for the South Indian films--- I saw Linga (Tamil) here, and it was pretty sweet seeing a bunch of Caucasian teenagers serving samosas. I guess the blend of cultures is what makes America great! The only negative things I noticed were that the screen in theatre 7 was very small and the seats were also somewhat small. Also tickets were twenty bucks! The sense of community here and customer service definitely trumps the luxury of it. I'll definitely be back though!

DO NOT GO HERE!! Most of all Indian movies now play in all theaters, so go there. This place is disgusting, smells really bad, and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. The sound of the speakers was crackling, and piercing the ears. The screen was titled, and very unclear. The theater is extremely small- don't waste time!!! Advice to management - break down the theatre and make a new one that's cleaner with modern technology, which will automatically generate more income for you.

First time here. We were a little suspect given some of the reviews online but it was clean, the staff was polite and seats were fine even though they do not recline. It was not crowded. Screen is not as large as a big theater but is certainly bigger than home theaters, it was sufficient for us. Never felt the difference.

Tiny little theater, okay prices. Be sure to get there early enough over the weekend so that you get a seat for your next Bollywood adventure.

So my husband and I went this past weekend to watch, "how to train your dragon 2", and walked out extremely disappointed. We sat in the dark for about 30 minutes without watching any previews. The picture was extremely grainy and poor quality once the movie played. On top of all that there was a family with two young children who decided to cry and not sit still. Of course, the parents did very little to control their kids, so before we could actually fully try to enjoy the movie we decided to leave and get our money back. Unfortunately, we will not be returning there, ever.

Worst theater in the state. Pricey, poorly maintained. Sound system is a joke and don't even get me started on the toilets.

This is the place to go when you want to watch Indian moves in the NJ area. I needed to get my fix of Hindi movies so went this weekend. Screens are small and restrooms could do with a little more cleaning but all in all did the job just fine!!!

This place is a dump. Seriously think this theater should have been shut down years ago because it is in such a state of disrepair. Our theater was completely dark with nothing on the screen before showtime. Could not even see the seats, had to use the cell phone flashlight to get to seats. Wish i hadnt because with the light I saw how scary the room was. I think it may have been a crime scene with all the broken chairs and plastic bags covering seats. Scary stuff.

Awesome priced tickets. Saw paranormal for $8 on a Friday night. Can't really beat that price. I've seen improvement in this place over the past few years. If tickets stay this cheap I'll keep coming back

Horrible experience. The theatre hall and also the screen is super small, more like a projector. I'd rather watch the movie in my small living room on a sofa than coming to this "so-called" movie theatre. seats are smelly, they creak and are not comfortable at all. the cinema hall stinks from front to end and it's very dirty. the sound is horrible and the picture quality is equal to watching it online. mis-managed place. I will never make the mistake of coming here again.

Not the best theater in NJ, but a decent place to catch a last minute movie. Good part is that there are plenty of Indian restaurants around to have dinner after the movie. Theater itself was relatively clean and there was plenty of parking.

If you want to catch a cold or freeze to death this is a good movie theater to go to . I have never had good experiences in this move theater but since many of my friends want to see Hindi movies only here I bit the bullet and go but yesterday we went to see a movie around 4pm. It is never too clean so just the smell hits you as you walk in but the hall was warm but as you start walking down to the movie halls it starts to get cold when we got to our movie hall was quite empty and cold. We sat down instead of taking off our jackets and coats in a few minutes I had my jacket hood covering my head and wished I had gloves but figurer as the movie started the heat would kick in.... well it did not. Fortunately the movie was engrossing so I did not want to miss the movie to go out to complain. At intermission a few people walked out to complain and the staff acted like we were disturbing the crowed .... Thanks the not so great customer service. They said they would look into it .... Still hall was cold but this time I could not even enjoy the movie because now I am seriously cold and the staff was of no help ... since I did not want to miss the movie I called the movie theater from the hall after many failed calls I got thru when I said I was calling from within the movie the CSR remarked .... now they are calling from within and hung up ... When it was over I came out I told the people in line that it was freezing inside so go at your own risk the employees got upset. The Manager came out and the basic gist of his response was I keep it at what I am required to at 58F. I just now checked the NJ State website and the required temps are for building "Utility requirements From October 1 to May 1, the rental premises shall be maintained at a temperature of at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.; between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the rental premises shall be maintained at a temperature of at least 65 degrees Fahrenheit." To add insult to injury my friend kept on saying I know the people so please do not make a scene..... :( I response was then maybe you should ask them to increase the heat :) she did not and at the end of the show I came out and called a cab picked up my car and on my merry way.

Ticket prices are reasonable, but not for what you get. Small, dark, musky smelling theater, with a small, grainy, blurry screen. In addition, part of the ceiling had caved in and had yet to be fixed, and the decor on the wall was falling apart (it looked like a disaster happened in there and they haven't bothered fixing it up yet). I'd avoid this theater.

Good for those movies when you dnt have any other option to watch it somewhere else earlier it use to be worst but after renovation in 2009 i think its better but just few screen out of 8 screens so you have to be particular about which screen you are watching like screen 3&2 is so small its better i watch movies at home on my big screen tv their screen 7 n 8 is better then all and yes sometime their air condition don't work some time movie is playing in half screen n half on ceiling n sone movie is playing there is sound but no visuals sometimes u have to call them to start the movie but their restroom is clean i wont complain abt theater cleanliness bcoz its sometime crowd who make it look bad they open by 3pm afternoon nweekdays 12 noon on weekends bcoz of late crowds but they have same price for early goers n late nite also not like amc early matinee n afternoon shows are cheaper then late night will see if they make any changes on thats
