Great brunch and honestly the best Americano I've ever had! Edit 12/28/2018: sadly since turning into a deli, they’ve switched their espresso beverages to bottomless drip coffee and as much as I love this place, I was sad to see this happen, it really was the best americano ever. I don’t think they should lose a star for it since it’s still an amazing brunch spot but let it be known, it was disappointing to see the change.

The food here is amazing. I'm not typically a fan of BBQ restaurants, so was hesitant when my friends suggested we go here. Was pleasantly surprised at how flavourful the BBQ here is, particularly the chicken, which is super juicy. This place is more than just BBQ sauce on meat. They add real flavor!

Updated review; combined zero star w 5 star…which one will you experience? When it’s done well, it’s Texas BBQ w an Asian twist; seriously tasty. The corn bread alone is worth the visit. Ribs were delicious, margaritas bang on, atmosphere a chill vibe. Beats Lone Star or basic joints hands down; no comparison. Our server was also a gem; friendly and helpful. One comment; wear casual clothes, ‘cause you may take some of the smoke smell home. When done badly (see photos; sorry for the quality;the reddish mess on the left is chicken, the bright red mess on the right is pork) the chicken and pork ribs are undercooked. Chicken should not be red/bloody. Ribs were basically raw in middle; fat and collagen hadn’t broken down and the meat (as you’d expect from undercooked pork) remained tough, stuck on the bone and, well, disgusting. Inedible.

This restaurant is less than a shlep from DuPont station. You won’t be disappointed in the food. It’s like eating at your favourite Jewish friends moms house. The karnutzel was amazing. Sour pickles were right on point. We also had pastrami sandwich and the Coca-Cola brisket they were very tasty. French fried and coleslaw you can’t go wrong. Oii vey you’ll be full after this. Giant cookie to end your night just make sure to finish your dinner first don’t want the Jewish mom to be upset with you😉

Although small in size (28 seats) this is by far one of the best delis I've ever been to. The chef's take on the deli brunch menu as well is just fantastic we did a lot of sharing our group of five. We had a little nosh before our meal came of pickles perogies coleslaw and potato salad. The potato salad was over the top I could have eaten one myself. Being originally from Winnipeg(self proclaimed perogie capital of canada) I feel I'm one of the better judges of perogies and these were great - love the crispy caramelized onions on top. Pastrami hash with the Schmaltz potatoes fried egg and creamed horseradish I can't say enough about the combination of flavors - just so great. The Chutzpah and the Rothstein again fantastic(see menu picture). I personally like the new pickles the rest of my party felt they tasted too much like a cucumber and preferred the sour. Great experience down to the wonderful Waiters and coffee.

The restaurant itself was extremely cozy. The staff is friendly and help you make some choices off the menu based on your party size. Had the root beer with bourbon which was an awesome drink, I'll definitely have to get it again. The cornbread was great, definitely an upgrade from your usual cornbread. We had a special item off the menu - beef sausages without casing in a tahini dressing. These were cooked perfectly and the combination of flavours was surprisingly good. Finally, the ribs and potato salad + cole slaw were perfect. the pesto on the ribs was a really nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place.

I made a reservation for a large group (12 people). Chelsea was amazing with her correspondence and accommodation. When you approach the dining hall, you are instantly hit with the unmistakable scent of BBQ. Our server was friendly and casual, and the service was extremely attentive. The food was perfectly seasoned. A perfect combination of taste and authenticity. The love, care, and attention in their dishes was evident, from the in-house made tortillas to the delicately grilled whole fish. We'll definitely come back.

Really enjoyed my fab reuben sandwich which was moist and delicious. Note that you have to order the fries on the side. The place has a cozy warm vibe, with retro 80s music playing. For solo diners, there are few seats at the counter.
