"Anyone who wants a full day of hiking on a reasonably easy trail will be delighted by Big Laguna. This lightly trafficked route is low-incline and relatively low-effort, and your endeavors will be rewarded with scenic pine tree groves and tranquil lakes, as well as wildflowers in the spring. Just note the $5 day pass fee, and be mindful not to venture onto the more difficult Pacific Crest Trail if that's not what you had in mind." - Archana Ram, Claire Trageser

Beautiful area. Views are breathtaking and the diversity along the trail from vista to meadow, rocks to sand, shrubs to forest is just amazing! The trail I followed to have a bit a bushwhacking, but I made it none the less…and with a bit of the PCT for the books.

The most beautiful hike I have taken so far. This loop is real long at around 10.3 miles but you dont have to do the full 10. I finished it all the way and was really glad I did. I took this hike on Jan 5, 2019 it was a rainy and chilly 35 degree day but It felt very nice for me. This is not for beginners there are some steep inclines and danger areas. Also be careful not to get mixed up with other trails in the area it can be confusing at times but if you use the AllTrails Pro version you can easily download the map and use it to navigate even offline. I will deffinetly do this hike again some day.

From Pacific Crest Trail to Noble Canyon to Sunset Trails, both lakes, Escondido Canyon, to near Visitors/info. center and Laguna Mountain town Store & Post Office! Things were quiet on this Hot weekend. But Pine House Cafe & Tavern w/ pool: see @PineHouseCafeTavern twitter! Only restaurant i found open @TinyHouseBlock for night/week/Month...long-term rental or even buy! Don't forget FreedomPleaseOrg @alignable San Diego for your Adventure needs! 35 years experience Seek #7footApartHikes also! Post COVID life!!

Since I injured my ankle back in January, I use this pain balm that has CBD and it works fantastically, and I wouldn't be able to do these hikes without it! It made by KB pure essentials.
