Big Lake

Absolute gem in the town of Hay River. Everyone told us to try here and I’m glad we did. During our trip we ate here 3x. We tried the red snapper, jerk chicken and jerk wings. Everything was delicious, and seasoned perfectly. Yes, jerk is supposed to be spicy. Big (thumbs) up 👍

After a full day of field work and driving, this place was a godsend! I got the Jamaican-style red snapper dinner, which is on their dedicated gluten free menu. It comes in a flavorful coconut milk sauce with rice and a salad on the side. There are gluten free meal and dessert options. I was not expecting to find a big-city quality meal (with fresh vegetables!) so far North - I am in love and hope to come back this way soon! Stay great guys 🙏

Cozy place and excellent food the chicken fettuccini is unlike any other fettuccini I’ve had but it a good way the sauce was excellent! Thank you for a wonderful meal a home away from home

This is a great spot for lunch. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and it was nice and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. It has a nice atmosphere with a library of books and games on one side. Has a great homey feel to it. I am here for two weeks and can't wait to go there again.

had an amazing dinner! They catered to 13 family member traveling the north. We had salmon and jerk chicken with veggies, salads, rice and graton potatoes, all was amazing. Definitely a place to check out!!

Jamaican Beef Patties - they were great. Great looking menu but I had take out. The Cafe looked nice and a great place to eat.
