Big Lots

I door dashed here earlier this week and Haylee and Rilea were exceptional and gave me the biggest tip I've gotten this year. They're very friendly and if you can please put something in their tip jar. Not to mention they have a sale on rocking chairs for $70,(fully assembled) I think I'll get one just because Haylee & Rilea were so nice and hospitable.

The store was clean, all employees were very helpful & wore their masks properly, and the selection of merchandise was impressive. They now carry LANE, ASHLEY and BROYHILL furniture. This store was a pleasure to shop in.

I forgot about Big Lots til I moved to Belmont and needed to buy a bird feeder. Went in for the feeder, came out with discount Halloween decorations, a sale-priced air-fryer with an additional twenty percent off and a new Big Lots membership card. The staff were super helpful and Haley at checkout went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. 10/10 recommend.

I haven't been in a Big Lots for decades. I was surprised to find such good quality stuff. Especially the furniture, but pretty much everything. The sofa sets were really good.

Good selection of seasonal and year long products. Decent prices. This store is clean and generally well stocked. Nice folks. Behind waffle house and Wells Fargo.

I went there and got some Christmas decorations. I was in the store for about an hour "browsing". I do not think, I went ten minutes with out a "Can I help you Sir?" Being disabled, that's nice because nothing is worse than searching the store for help to get an item, you can not reach. The cashier was very friendly and offered to get someone to help me out to my truck with my purchase. I didn't need it. But it was nice she offered.

Don't recall the last time i went into a Big Lots, but i needed a cheap side table to put a printer on so i checked it out. They had a pretty decent selection of reasonably priced furniture and i bought a nice-looking tv-stand that works to hold an oversized printer. Can't vouch for the staying power of the piece, but it appears to be good quality so far. While there, the man in the furniture department was friendly as could be. It's a nice new store worth checking out if you're nearby and don't mind close-out store places. Much, much nicer than the Rose's place next door. That place kind of scares me.

I was cleaning a powder coated cabinet that was oxidized using scotch brite scouring pads. I ran out at 8:45pm. I called Big Lots to see if they had any while I was driving there. Brandy searched the store to find them and told me they were in stock. I told her I was on my way but it was 8:55. She asked me how many I needed. I told her 10 packs. She asked if they didn't have that many if I wanted what they had. I said yes. She told me just to pull up to the front door. When I pulled up she was waiting at the door with 4 packs of Scotch Brite pads in a bag!!!! I went in and slid my card and was out the door in less than 2 minutes. What a GREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!! Kudos to Brandy and Big Lots!

Was so excited about the grand opening...went on the day advertised online but was told it was the next day, which i had to work. The aisles are narrow, the prices don't seem to be as competitive, and the selection is smaller than in west Gastonia. A customer compained abou the apparent high prices the day I was there. The cashier simply said "I don't price the stuff". I haven't been back nor do I plan to. I just drive to the west side. What a disappointment... =(

Living in Gastonia, I used to shop at the Big Lots there. Now I drive to the Belmont store, a little further in distance, but miles of difference in the attitude of the employees and the condition of the store. The Gastonia store should be cleaned out both literately and figuratively, and the Belmont store model should replace it.
