10 Great Restaurants Near Seattle Center

"The Queen Anne location of this classic Seattle pizza shop is open until 2:00 a.m. The big, cheesy, New York slices with curled pepperoni cups are the perfect, filling late-night bite, and the divey locale (with a small backroom bar) is a good spot for a relaxing beer any time of the day." - Jade Yamazaki Stewart

Google
Delicious pizza with high quality ingredients. Not a ton of space so it feels up quickly but service is awesome. There's a bar in the back with a cool vibe. Definitely my preferred of the locations.

Google
The pepperoni pizza was not as great, but, I enjoyed the dive bar atmosphere and friendly staff that make this a good place to chill out without gourmet, fine dining pretensions. Liked the comfy red booths in the back bar that are perfect for spreading out and relaxing. Liked that the booths and tables were clean and not sticky! Liked that the bartender was honest and said he had never made a Cosmopolitan cocktail before, but, when I told him the main ingredients and to put it in a chilled glass, it turned out perfect! Pizza crust tastes too much like burnt flour and is slightly gritty textured. (I would have liked more yeast flavor in the dough.) It was good enough, but nothing to write home about. The to go Ceasar salad did not come with enough salad dressing. I would skip it next time. Liked that all the staff were friendly and seemed in a good mood.

Google
I asked what the specialty pizza was, and it was like pulling teeth. I had to box up my own pizza to go. Wouldn’t be a big deal, if there Wasn’t a service charge when ordering pizza to go. What exactly is the service involved , from being relatively rude, and a clear lack of desire to be informative. Defnitelt not the vibe you’d expect from a late night pizza joint or Mario’s in general.

Google
Great place for a big slice of great pizza! The crust was perfect and the slice was big enough to fill you. In the back they have a bar with good drinks and a nice dive bar vibe. A little outside area as well for more seating and plenty of tvs playing sports if you wanted to watch the game. Definitely will be coming back for a great slice a beer.

Google
We came in at night to grab some dinner. If we wanted a whole pie, we had to wait, so we each got different slices to try out instead. Every slice was very tasty! There's a bar in the back with additional seating. Pretty good spot for a slice of pizza!

Emilie Cuevas

Google
Nice big slices, quick and delicious. Hidden bar in the back with more seating and a great vibe. I took my veggie slice togo with ranch. I’ll be back

Google
This is our go to place for Pizza 🍕. We love sitting in Patio and enjoying the meal especially when it's not raining.

Google
Pizza is so good and they were very quick at getting a whole fresh pizza made and out to us. Definitely going back during our time here in Seattle.

Yelp
Interesting place. Pizza is sold and served in the front with seating suitable for families and an outdoor area with no tables but a long narrow railing with counter stools. The outdoor area does not show in any pictures I could find. There is an over 21 dive bar in the back serving alcoholic beverages . The bar area has (of course) bar seating and 5 or 6 booths, where we enjoyed our pizza and beer. The pizza we ordered was delivered to us in the bar area. Hard to judge the pizza; for some reason that I had nothing to do with the pizza was half arugula and half pear. The less said about the toppings the better. Crust was good, foldable and able to support the pie. Light on the sauce for my taste. Definitely will return.

Yelp
A can of soda is 4.50. The pizza itself is fine, the crust is thin and the toppings are ok. The sauce is a bit dry but acceptable.

Yelp
Came to get lunch on a Friday around 1:30. There was one other family in at the time, so we were quickly able to order. We originally got the pizza to go, but the pizza is just given on a plate, it was slightly beginning to mist, so we ended up just eating at the shop. The place itself is quite cozy, a good amount of seating, and some nice outdoor seating I'd the weather is nice! The pizza itself is solid! The tables also have parm, herbs, and crushed red pepper. It tasted good, and the size per slice is quite big! One is enough for me, and only ~$6! Good place for a quick and tasty meal!

Yelp
Ordered a large pizza half n half- potato pesto and pineapple- jalapeño pizza. It was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent thin New York style pizza, above average for a place that isnt in NYC. Not overly hipster.

Yelp
Love having this place in Queen Anne. Not enough places in seattle are open for late night eats. But Big Mario's Pizza is open till 2am which I absolutely love. I order from here regularly. The pizzas are always great. The thin crust holds up and doesn't get soggy from the toppings. While it's not straight up crispy like slices I've had in NYC, this is still a delicious slice of pie. Our go-to is a large pepperoni. Pear Gorgonzola is also insanely delicious for any vegetarians or honestly non-vegetarians alike out there. Some point out that it's sort of pricy but come on guys, so is all of seattle. Also the 18" is quite large and the slices are big. Overall, 3 large pizzas fed 10 hungry adults with some slices left over. Sure dominos is cheaper but you get a very different pizza. The northlake location had a 20% discount for healthcare workers- not sure if that is honored at other locations.

Yelp
I'm only reviewing the dining area - Big Mario's is convenient and quick when I need food in the area! A slice is a bit pricy ($6-7) but they're pretty large. I like that there are a few types to choose from that rotate daily with some fun speciality flavors - keeps me on my toes! Service is quick - they heat up the slice in their oven then hand it to you whether you're seated or on the go.

Yelp
Picked up three pies to have dinner with friends. Ordered classic pepperoni, Mediterranean, and classic cheese. Oh my gosh, the crust. The crust is outstanding. Toppings are generously applied and the flavors are all there. The folks that work are are very nice, and prices are swell. We love you Big Mario!

Yelp
We came here for a quick bite late at night, but ended up staying for quite a while as we ordered whole pizzas for ourselves. These ended up coming out around 30 minutes after we ordered (they warned us of this before we placed the order). We ordered a 18" Macho Man and a 14" Umberto Classic which came out to around $75, which I find a little pricey for a pizza place. This was about enough to feed 5 hungry adults, but I think I had room for a bit more. The Macho Man was very meaty and totally hit the spot for a greasy pizza! Personally, I preferred the Umberto Classic. It comes with a sweet balsamic glaze on top and the arugula balances out the cheese and meat fairly well. The crust on both pizzas was very good! Thin, but still thick enough to hold up its toppings and remain crispy.

Yelp
So I am not sure if some of these comments were done by past employees or owners of other pizza places. After reading the reviews, I was expecting really crappy service. I walked in to nothing but pleasant smiles, and very courteous waitress. I wanted to add that the back area was packed and she was very busy, but was still incredibly polite. Peter said we take 20 minutes and that's about what it took. I got my pizza and went back to my hotel was very pleasant surprise by the pizza. I will definitely come back to this place. Give it a shot. Ignore the haters on the other reviews.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't waste your time getting pizza here. It's another place that lies and hides the true cost of your order with a fee that isn't even a tip. The restaurant keeps it all. Boycott any place that has these hidden fees to lure you in and get as much money as possible last minute. Only go to places that have prices that include everything minus tax. Stop hidden fees and lies.

Yelp
I was craving a slice of pie and missing aka Joe's pizza. The slice you can buy for 2.50 late at night in nyc. Anyhow, I heard about this place and stopped by for a slice. I folded the pie, and the crust was a little on over cooked side, so it didn't fold as well. Usually the slice is longer and little more on undercooked side. It was ok but satisfied the craving .

Yelp
This one was a tuff one. I originally wanted to just throw out a 5 star because I love this place. When I put on my review hat and actually write it out, it's just a hole in the wall pizza joint with great vibes... wait.... that's far from a bad thing... it's a great thing when that's what your looking for. Why I love this place? Is always there when I need it, it's simple, decent size slices, the people inside are friendly including the staff. I often find myself coming here on a drunken night of fun or sometimes after happy hour when I'm still hungry. Now for a realistic review from my average visit. My last visit I came after work when everything else was closed and I was just kind of hungry. It was a weekday, I got parking right up front. There were about 10 other customers inside. Only one remaining tray of cheese pizza so I had to wait 5 minutes for the next meat pizza. Their normal water dispenser was out of water, pretty much the entire time I was there even after bringing it to the workers attention. Luckily they have a bar in the bar and the lady gave me and my partner water just fine. By then our pizza was ready. My pizza it was greasy but not more than any other pizza I've eaten. Large size and almost well placed ingredients. There was a random bread bubble on my slice which mean a random toppingless bubble in the middle. There plenty of cheese and pep to cover the bare spot. The actual setting arrangement and cleanliness of the bar is barely passable but it's passes. Very retro vibes. It could use a few touch ups and love. Either way, it never stops me from coming with friends and loved ones. I will admit. It's not my favorite pizza and there is better in the area, but sometimes there just too much of a hassle. And the other places that aren't as much of a Hassel have terrible pizza. This pizza is good. You won't be mad you avoided the downtown madness and stopped here instead.

Yelp
This place ticked a few boxes for me. Close to climate pledge. Good pizza. Dive bar in the back. What more could my heart desire?!

Yelp
Stopped by because our hotel was within walking distance from his place and we were starving. There were a few people ahead of us ordering and there were two employees working the front. One at the register and one grabbing the pizzas. The girl working the register was rude and unfriendly. I smiled at her and said hello before ordering and she gave me a dirty look. Talk about awkward. We waited about 10 minutes to get our pizzas and we left, didn't want to eat there with a rude employee walking around. The pizza was not my favorite, too greasy for my liking. It was also cold and hard. It had definitely been sitting around for some time. Pass this place if you can.

Yelp
After watching a Mariners game we were hungry for some local pizza. This place was a few blocks away from where we were staying, but got high Yelp ratings, so we placed an order for take-out and I walked a few blocks to get it. I arrived before the pies were ready, so I had a cold Rainier in a can while I waited! This place also had a pretty large bar and outdoor seating area. We got the Potato Pesto and Macho Man pizzas. When arriving home, we dug in. The pizzas were so good that I forgot to take a photo for the rating until they were both half eaten (sorry Yelpers). Anyway, I recommend this place for anyone who likes quality pizza. Great crust, ample toppings, unique offerings. And like all great pizza, it was just as good cold the next morning for breakfast. The picture of Mario on the pizza box cover, just like the pizza itself, is classic!

Yelp
Ah yesss, one of the classic spots in Capitol Hill that opens late, perfect for late night drunk adventures and post-clubbing food. I have been here once before, a few weeks ago. I remember waiting in line for almost 30min with some friends after clubbing, so around 2am, so I was just chatting with them to pass the time. However, I did not end up getting anything back then because eating that late would not do good to my body. Instead, just yesterday, there was a party and they catered Big Mario's for dinner, perfect! They ordered a bunch of pizzas, and I personally tried the Pepperoni and the Coppa Cabana, 1 slice each. One slice is already quite filling and greasy, even though they are thin pizzas. The crust is slightly tough, quickly turning into cardboard texture while I was eating it. The pepperoni is very salty but also quite flavorful. I wasn't much of a fan of the Coppa Cabana because of the pepperoncini, though it is another pizza choice. I do like the arugula as a topping. Structure wise, it is a New York style pizza, but I was a little bit underwhelmed by the experience.

Yelp
We always go to the same pizza place, but wanted to branch out and try somewhere new after our neighbors suggested that they always get takeout from here. We called to order takeout, so I can't say much for the ambience or service, but the pizza was ready within the time window that they suggested, and they did offer us, utensils, plates, red pepper, and Parmesan. We didn't order anything fancy, just a plain pepperoni pizza. But all the pepperoni was double stacked, so I feel like we really got a good deal! In my opinion, this kind of pizza mostly resembles a New York style. Contrary to popular belief, I think pizza crust is the best part of a pizza, and I could've eaten a whole plain pie of it from this place - no sauce or cheese required. The pizza was fresh when we got it and cooked all the way through but not burnt. It definitely is the perfect takeout pizza if you live in the area, or are visiting the Seattle center and want somewhere to go - I would recommend!

Yelp
3 times I've placed an order, on various dates, at various times. One was even a scheduled order to a time THEY said they were accepting orders again. 3 times the order has been canceled by Big Mario's, always nearly around the time when the pizza SHOULD be either being delivered, or about ready for pickup. I know there's no way demand's actually that high--just stop listing that pickup/delivery's available if that's not actually the case and you're going to leave someone hungry and miserable!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite spot in capital hill for pizza! I love the chefs! I'm so grateful they provide a vegan option with my favorite New York style crust!!!! Bartenders are kind and drinks are great! Any time my friends visit from out of town I bring them to Big Mario's!!! Mostly I come by myself for a slice and tequila soda and I feel comfortable just chillin' because the environment is suuuuuuuper chill. ‍

Yelp
I've never been to NY so I can't really judge if it's NY style pizza. But today I tried the pepperoni and the copa and mushroom and it was very mediocre.. Not too much flavor and a bit dry.. there's also a bar connected to it for drinks. Haven't gotten the drinks so I can't judge. There's an area to the side with picnic tables if you're just getting pizza.

Yelp
LGBTQ FRIENDLY AND SAFE PLACE TO EAT MEET AND HANG OUT. There is a full bar and they serve NY style pizza slices. You can order at the counter or at the bar. The pizza slices came out very quickly. Perhaps to much so as they were not very hot. The staff was so nice there and is a great environment to just hang with your friend. The pizza? Sorry to say that this New York pallet was not impressed. So they check all the boxes except for the pizza. Since this is a pizza place, I am deducting one full star. Cheers.

Yelp
I was surprised how cool this place is. Looks like a to-go pizza joint in front, but has a dark awesome lounge in back that was playing great 80's music and VHS movies on tv. Pizza was amazing! Me and my buddy returned to eat the pizza here twice on our weekend trip to see KISS at Climate Pledge Arena nearby for the final time. Service was friendly and prompt.
google avatar

Nelson L.

Yelp
Pizza hits so much better after midnight! It's so great to have a Big Mario's in Queen Anne near Climate Pledge Arena because you're always craving a slice or two after a concert. After a recent concert several weeks ago on a Sunday, there wasn't a lot of choices to get food around there. Luckily, after walking back to my friend's place and hanging out for a little bit, Big Mario's was still open. With a bar in the back, they were still making fresh pies. I got two big New York style Daily Special slices, which had sausage and olives and mushrooms and it was perfect as I perused my phone with a beer. The slices were about $5-$6 and piping hot. I devoured, finished my beer, got home and went to bed happy. Thank you Big Mario's and all late night pizza spots for staying open until 2am.
google avatar

Zach A.

Yelp
I had a pretty good pizza here. I went at like 9:30-10PM on a weekend and it was pretty busy. I mention that because the pizzas were being freshly baked right in front of my eyes and I got a fresh slice so that may be part of it. It wasn't like a 10/10 authentic NY Pizza slice but still a lot better than a lot of the horrendous stuff that Seattle calls "pizza". The vibe is very alternative so if that's not your thing then beware. Drinks were really expensive but that's just how Seattle is.
google avatar

bradley s.

Yelp
Mario's is a great slice of NY pizza. Crispy crust and the slices are never sloppy. Good tasting pepperoni and the sausage is tasty too. This is a go to ice spot for me!
google avatar

Jean Claude C.

Yelp
Oh hell Yah, A work friend took me there. We sat in the back in the bar area. They have a full bar not a lot of seatsThe ambiance is full on old school dive bar. I love it! . They had a good selection of beers. I had a Peroni my friend had a mixed drink. We had a queen special pizza. It was really good, It wasn't expensive. They also have a daily selection of slices.I went back a few weeks later for lunch for a slice. Check it out .
google avatar

Bigaldeville A.

Yelp
Great atmosphere great food. Definitely would kick it there and have a slice of pizza.

Liz P.

Yelp
Worst pizza ever! To think they call this NY pizza is a crime. So much garlic in the sauce. A Caesar salad that is only Romain, not even a crouton? Just awful
google avatar

Clayton H.

Yelp
Decent Za'. Got to go so didn't get to sit inside. Pizza was solid, crust was good, but not great. Solid pizza though.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum!! Fun spot to try a slice of nyc pizza. Quiet in the afternoon. Had the place practically to ourselves. Great outdoor seating.

Yelp
DISCRIMINATION -I am an Italian man of 65 years old; my fiancee is an African American girl of 33 years old. Since she looked younger than her age, she was asked to show her ID; the lady working there took a look at the ID, then she dropped it on our table, from 6 inches high. Further we were there for drinks, but they ignored us, after 30 minute wait, we left. The bar was not that busy. This is unacceptable especially since Seattle has a reputation to be liberal and open minded to differences in age and in racial and ethnic groups. DISCRIMINATION. Avoid this business like the plague.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Walked in as a recommendation from a bar/pub a few doors down for a quick bite. Ordered 2 slices at front and walked into bar. Ordered 2 drinks and somehow owed $85. Gave the bartender $100 and not 20 min later she tried to make me pay again. The pizza slices were AWFUL! The bartender was fancy but not in her element. I'm sure I was overcharged and honestly figured I didn't pay any parking fines so it was a wash.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
I like stopping by Big Mario's on my way home from the bars or to grab a drink in the bar area (which is pretty cool this location has one) but I'm not sure I would come in otherwise. Pizza is good but staff always seems a slight bit irritable. The ambiance is divey.
google avatar

Kasey G.

Yelp
Big Mario pizza is honestly the best!! I went here for my first time over the weekend and I don't know how I haven't been here before. Their pizza makes me rethink eating pizza and how good it should be. The pizzas are large and they have so many uniquely delicious options. This place also works as a bar in the back, another great quality! I want to give a shout out to Steve who really helped us and had such a fun attitude, he really went above and beyond! Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Yolanda R.

Yelp
The most excellent New York style pizza that even satisfied my picky New Yorker husband. They have a bar, dining room and outdoor seating and take out, of course. We sat comfortably in the dinning room and enjoyed our 18" Queen Special- that was perfect for four people. We'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Varun A.

Yelp
Best NY style pizza in the city. Get the cheese pizza! Their open till late in the night and make a great spot for post drinks hang.
google avatar

Sara V.

Yelp
This is a convenient location for the area or if you're getting out of the stadium/ Seattle center. This location has some seating in the front and back so it's nice to get out of the weather and there's usually room for groups of different sizes. The pizza itself isn't super great and the freshness varies based on when you happen to catch them as the slices are reheated. The dough/crust is pretty tough and the ingredients/flavor isn't anything to write home about, but it's usually a chill vibe, not too bad a price point, and convenient.
google avatar

May C.

Yelp
A waste of time. I have ordered from here 3 times, first time was fine - great even! Second time they didn't make the order at all when the driver got there he didn't want to wait so I had to wait another hour. This last time they cancelled the order after they failed to even start on my pizza after I already waited two hours! Ffs, get your act together please. Absolutely terrible experience, don't order from these guys unless you like waiting hours for food that never arrives.
google avatar

Damian C.

Yelp
Didn't get to try the pizza walked out before ordering . Place was empty when I walked in and both workers at the front were just staring and scrolling Instagram when I was at the register lol I just walked out and they didn't even notice just kept scrolling there phones
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
one of the best pizza pies in Seattle. Pizza doughs are finessed into the thinnest works of light and crispy pizzas. Although, it can be a bit inconsistent, but still better than Pags and worlds away from Domino's.
google avatar

Rahma A.

Yelp
Big slice for small price, my kind of thing. I was in the area with a friend and wanted two get some pizza and Big Marios was the closest. It was very East Coast style, had good sauce and I liked the crust. The service was spectacular, very sweet and calm despite the really long line and impatient customers. Would definitely come back.

Jake E.

Yelp
Stopped into get a slice as I was starving/ visiting the area and wanted something quick. The veggie pizza slice hit the spot. Very Good!!!!!! My issue was with the workers & the place. Two girls were talking about what alcoholic drinks they were going to have that night & how late they were going to be there. Every other word was the F word. At first I was surprised but it came out so natural to them that I'm assuming it's just how they talk. Totally inappropriate. There was another lady eating in there and I could see she was uncomfortable too. Also instead of standing around maybe they could give the place a good F'in cleaning. Dirty tables & dust for days. Come on ladies do BETTER!

Mia K.

Yelp
Eh. It used to be better. Now it's blah. $13 for two slices of mediocre cheese pizza. And the guy making pizzas was sweaty and mouth breathing all over what he was making. Probably won't go back.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
This girl in shite T-shirt put my pizza in the oven after ordering and then pulled it right back back out 20 seconds later and said it's ready. Lol. When I asked her if it was to the proper temp she said "the oven is 600 degrees". Little does she know I just temped my pizza and it's 35 degrees. I work in a kitchen. Big Mario's: train your staff TRAIN YOUR STAFF TRAIN YOUR STAFF. Food poisoning. Not a pretty thing. You don't want to keep your pizza under warmers then the final product is on you to train.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Super super fun 80s pizza shop vibes here. Stopped in for a pizza and stayed for the atmosphere! Pizza was ready quickly and we enjoyed buying cans of beer/sparkling water to enjoy on the side. The pizza sauce was immaculate and the crust didn't suck either! Can't wait to return here!

Yelp
listen I don't really leave reviews on restaurants ever cuz I don't really think to do it but all i wanted to say is I ordered a calzone from here and it saved my life. Like my life wasn't bad before I had the calzone, it was pretty fine, I'm just saying it saved my life. It was that good. I haven't had a calzone in a long time so like, maybe I'm being a bit dramatic? But I also think there's many things in this world which are marketed towards us as consumers to try to offer us something we desire in exchange for currency or at least our attention or a space in our minds. I judge many things which cost money on how worth my money they are, as is basic practice for many consumers. And I think the calzone I got from this establishment is probably one of the highest ratios of pleasure to monetary value I have experienced recently. I feel truly at peace having this calzone rnw. Also the calzone is huge dude which is awesome cuz it means there's more chances for me to truly experience what it's like for everything to be okThat's all I wanted to say, I had to download the yelp app just the make this review. Sorry if I raised your expectations a bit too high maybe I just got lucky and got a super amazing calzone. Whoever made this calzone should make it into heaven. That's all.

Yelp
I had one of the worst days of my life... i decided... EFF IT!! Let's get the best pizza you've ever had... a buzz, and a Lyft home! Not only did I get all of that. I had a fantastic time with the staff. with the regulars.. and I am going to make this my regular! They changed my entire week!!! Thank you!

Yelp
Pretty great pizza. Always a must have when I'm visiting Seattle. I recommend the pepperoni.
