Olney Saloon has an outrageous burger. Great atmosphere. And Awesome service. It's a beautiful drive through the mountains with waterfalls and elk herds.

This countryside bar is one of my favorite local spots. The staff here are nice, and always ready with a recommendation or a bit of friendly banter. The drinks are well-priced, and there’s a selection of brews and spirits. Lots of weekly specials, the Ruben is one of my favorites.

Food was OK burger was way cooked cheese not melted how they did that i don't know. But the service was wonderful very nice honest folks prices were a little high but it the love your paying for and you will love this place.

Service was excellent. Food and drinks great. Had four Sunday Tacos, Margarita , Bloody Mary and Jalapeno Poppers.. The tab was in a mason jar which was cute.

We love places like this! A little out of the way but way worth the drive. Great food, full bar, and a long beer and cider menu. We will definitely be back to try the chili and taco specials.

This was a great find and a beautiful drive outside of Astoria. Worth it. Lots of room, a cool outdoor area for a drink and a smoke, heated. The food looked good and I will be back to check that out soon. Cocktails were good

Stopped here in Olney on a trip around Astoria. Great food and drinks. Busy during the Summer so make sure you get there well ahead of the lunch crowd who are typically motorcyclists on group rides. Great outdoor seating and the friendliest, hardest working staff anywhere. Highly recommended!

Got a burger to go in a small to go box. Was flushed so didn’t even need a tooth pick but for some thoughtful reasoning it was decided that putting a tooth pick in side ways instead of straight up(which can’t due to box being small) and having yellow on it so I can’t see it, caused me to take a bite, nearly pierce my tongue, and crack my tooth some. So thanks for that . Gotta use brains not trains when handling food this is dangerous…..

Located in the quaint tow on Olney. Great food there my first time. I have the spicy burger with jalapeños and hot sauce. It was amazing. I will be back soon.

This little gem is worth the drive. Great taps and cocktails, fun bartender. Food is satiating, American classics. Family friendly place.

A for ambiance, B for burgers and C for fries/tator tots. The place is so cute and the outside patio area is very spacious. I am told they typically have corn hole and other games on the patio but not right now due to covid. They use really cute jars for the drinks. The burgers were good but the garlic fries had garlic salt instead of real garlic and the tator tots tasted like the frozen ones. Bonus points because their ranch is homemade and was really good.

Such a great local business, love coming here when I visit home. Staff is always super friendly and fun to visit as well. Recently came in and got a special Reuben and a whiskey ginger and they were delicious. Highly recommend after a trip to the falls or a nice hot summer day. Plenty of patio seating as well. Thanks!

This Saloon is often a destination for my husband & I. Little bar in the middle of nowhere with food that's off the charts. The Mac n cheese, French dip, tacos & chicken bones are to die for. There's an extensive outside space with fire pit, corn hole boards & even a live music stage. The rustic/outdoorsy vibe is welcoming & the service is great & attentive. Bet a few dollars on the slots while you stop in & grab yourself a sweatshirt from their store on the other side of the bar. One of our favorite places!

Stopped here on the way to Crescent Beach to use the facilities and it smelled so good, we had to have a bite. My friend had a burger while I got the soup and Mac-n-Cheese. I really wish I could remember our waitress's name because she was phenomenal. It was all phenomenal: the service, the food, the atmosphere, the trip. Just a really pleasant surprise. I will definitely go back as soon as I can.

This is our second lunch at Big O and is always pleasant. Drinks are big and food is as expected for bar food. It is a nice stop and has burgers, finger foods and such. The service is fine and staff friendly. Good on a nice day to sit outside.

Went for a ride to the Oregon Coast today with a friend. We stopped by a quaint little Saloon called The Big O Saloon, at the recommendation of a friend and co-worker. It looked very small on the outside, but when we went inside, it was very nice and roomy. They had lots of logger swag, such as the two axs with handles at the servers station rather that the typical brass rails. The bar was a thick, probably a foot thick, single piece of timber. There were numerous taxidermied critters, large round saw blades with images cut out in them and chain saws festooning the area. They also had a nice patio if one was so inclined to venture outside. We were greeted by the cute red-headed Katie who greeted us with a warm smile and friendly chatter. She Asked us what we'd like to drink and gave us menus. She told us that it was Monday Madness and the special was a $5 burger, cheese was an extra 50 cents. We both splurged and got cheese on the daily special. In short order out food arrived, hot and looking good. Katie then told us about all the various events happening at the Big O including a PIG ROAST! They do NOT put any condiments on, but bring out a beer 6 pack with Ranch, Ketchup, Mustard, Salt, Pepper and Fry Sauce so you can dress your burger just the way you like it. The Burgers were good, cooked perfectly. I believe preformed patties with fresh tomatoes lettuce and pickles. They also came with a generous helping of Kettle Chips. All and all, a decent burger, at a Great Price. They have a nice selection of Icy Cold beer and many top shelf liquors. If you're ever out that way, stop in and have a cold one or their special, great value for your buck in a cool little Saloon.

A nice change from all the restaurants downtown Astoria, yet not too far. I have only been here once for their annual pig pickin' in the fall...what a fun event! Besides pork, they had grilled fish, a few sides, and delicious desserts. I talked to a regular here and apparently corn hole is popular here. Love how they have scoreboards for corn hole. The restaurant itself isn't too big, but there is a lot of outdoor space. I didn't try anything off their menu, but it's basic American food (burgers, sandwiches, etc.), nothing too fancy, reasonable prices, and kid-friendly.

My first trip to the Saloon was to explore a place I'd heard about many times. The girls told me about a couple of great waterfalls in the area to explore. The drink was tasty! I love the ambiance. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. There is great outdoor seating. The walls are filled with interesting things to read. Ask about the history of how the bar came about, good stuff. I didn't eat, but the food looked great. I just love the feel of it. It's worth the drive. I take my out of town friends there always on the way to the waterfalls or after for a cold one.

A wonderful find!!! Hands down the best service and food in the area. Situated right outside of Astoria you can grab a bite to eat while watching some sports. Extremely clean, and an overall fantastic experience!

This place is probably one of the coolest looking bars I've ever been to. I honestly hadn't set my expectations that high, because it's located in the middle of nowhere. But it's undeniable. The charm, the burgers, the axes that are embedded into the bar. All of it. I love this place.

This place is adorable, amazing food and very friendly staff. My husband and I stop every time we head out that way.

We were here on the evening of 3/31/19 and it was horrible. Where should I start? Hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a dining establishment. It was busy, which I can understand and am mindful of. But our waitress, although nice to us, was horrible. Literally terrible. She hardly came over to us. She acted like we weren't there. We waited 45 minutes to an hour for our food. I wish I was exaggerating. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer that never came before, but came with our dinner instead . We had young children and waiting an hour for dinner- the appetizer would have been nice and really helpful. I got a French dip and the meat on it didn't even cover the whole hoagie. My tots were undercooked and pale looking and mush. Not crispy and golden brown. My daughters Mac and cheese was completely cold. My husbands burger was good, although we paid the extra 2$ to add fries and it looked like someone literally through maybe 5 fries on there. The onion rings you could clearly see had been "pre fried" beforehand. Not fried and made to order. They weren't crisp and literally had black char marks around the rings- meaning they were heated back up on a flat top grill before being brought out. I even had to walk up the bar to ask for sweetener for my iced tea and was NEVER acknowledged or even looked at. So I gave up and just went back to my seat. You can definitely tell they cater to the people buying drinks. We will definitely NOT be back and we are locals too.

Really good food, great prices, and great service - what more could you want. The location is a short drive outside of the Astoria city limits and well worth it.

This is one of the best little back country saloons. The food is great and the staff is friendly. The bar is set up awesome. Great people and place.
