What a day and what a ride. Although wait was long but we found a slot that was slightly lesser wait time - around 60-70 minutes. The videos and pictures would tell the joy we had ! They’ll speak for themselves. Who ever wants to go, definitely recommended and a must go ride - worth the wait time !

One of our families favorite Magic Kingdom rides. It never disappoints. It’s longer than most roller coasters and the theming is great. We went on the Friday after Labor Day and waited less than 45 minutes around 5pm. The feature where you spin the lever and an animated bird appears is awesome!

This is a really fun classic roller coaster. The mountain has good scenery, and really adds to the atmosphere of Frontierland. The queue can either be really short or really long at times, so it may depend if you need Lightning lane for this ride. The actual roller coaster itself is very enjoyable. While the lifts can be loud, it’s mild enough for families to enjoy this coaster. It’s also longer than most coasters on property. Overall, would recommend riding during your trip!

The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a great ride, but to me not worth the one and a half hour wait to ride. It’s a very fast paced roller coaster made to look like a mine car. There are several mining related displays along the waiting line that adds some interest. Other than the long wait it is really fun.

This was super fun. We rode this more than once, hitting it when wait times were short and using Genie+ to book a ride in advance. Smooth and pretty fast. Definitely worth repeating if you get the chance! We felt that this was just as good as the seven dwarves ride so don't spend too much time in the other line as it can be pretty long.

A Wild Ride Through the Wilderness If you're looking for a thrilling adventure that's perfect for the whole family, look no further than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This iconic mine train roller coaster is a must-do for any Disney World visitor. As you climb aboard the rickety old mine train, you're immediately transported to a rugged, Wild West setting. The ride's theming is top-notch, with towering rock formations, abandoned mine shafts, and a sense of impending danger that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once the train begins to chug along the tracks, you're in for a wild ride. The coaster features several drops, twists, and turns that will have you screaming with delight. There's also a thrilling tunnel sequence that's sure to get your heart pumping. While Big Thunder Mountain Railroad may not be the most intense roller coaster in the world, it's still a fun and exciting ride that's suitable for a wide range of ages. And with its stunning theming and thrilling elements, it's easy to see why it's considered one of the most beloved attractions at Disney World. So, if you're ready to experience the "wildest ride in the wilderness," be sure to check out Big Thunder Mountain Railroad on your next visit to Disney World.

This ride is hands down one of my all time favorites. It’s a classic to me it has a lot of great views and thrills on it. The wait time in line is worth it depending on when you go. There’s plenty of space in each car to get everyone on the same ride at the same time.

Big Thunder Mountain RR is the only wooden coaster in Disney world. It is a wild coaster with two different pull up tracks. An engine leads your group of cars through one of the roughest terrains and you really have no time to take anything in. You are going so fast. With curves and twists it adds to the fun. Big Thunder is patterned after the Old Mine car ride that used to exist in Disneyland. It takes you through prairies, canyons, wild west towns and boulders. Study the history of that ride and you will see how they were able to incorporate the scenery to match that of the its predecessor. Wait times can be hectic however if you purchased Genie + then you can reserve a lightning lane time for it and get on without too much of a wait. I never compare wood coasters with metal since they are in a class by themselves. I just love to hear the clikety clack as you ascend your first hill. Woods will always be my favorite and I'm glad Disney decided to incorporate one here. Located in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom.
