BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park

Recently, we stayed at the BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park. Upon arrival, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They gave us maps and pamphlets of things to do around the area. Great location with the Beach, Shops, Café and a restaurant within walking distance. The cabins were clean, neat and tidy. We stayed for two nights. We had to shift out of our Cabin (My Fault due to booking error) to another Cabin. The staff were very understanding and helpful. I would recommend this park to anyone travelling around Tasmania.

Lovely location and close to the National Park + nearby walks. Online booking was straightforward and reasonably priced. After hours arrival instructions couldn't have been easier. The only minor mishap was that the site we had been advised was ours was already occupied however easily fixed by the manager and enjoyed a pleasant evening. Deducted 1 star for the unnecessary and annoying speed-humps😉

Lovely caravan park across from the beach with the tavern, general store and coffee shop in front of the park. The amenities are clean and great hot showers. Also has a good camp kitchen. We had a great grass site with plenty of room. Very handy to the National Park.

This is one of the most affordable stays in the Freycinet region, especially for family travelling with children like me. I booked a 2-bedroom cabin in Sep 2025 for one night stay to visit Freycinet national park. ||The cabin was clean and cozy. Sofa was comfortable. Heater and huge TV in the cabin. Complete kitchen utensils provided. A bottle of complimentary fresh milk provided in the refrigerator. Electric blanket provided in the master bedroom but not in the double decker bedroom. The hotel provides clear instruction on late check-in on email when the office is closed in the evening. This was really helpful for me. I was able to retrieve the key to my cabin based on the instruction in the email. ||A few minor letdowns but did not impact our stay. No dishwasher machine in the kitchen (hotel requires guest to clean up all used kitchen utensils and kitchenware before checkout). No washing machine in the cabin. Coin washer and dryer are available in the shared facility building for campervan users. No Wi-Fi available in the cabin, but we can live with our mobile data. ||When I returned the survey feedback form to the reception during checkout, the staff was a little unhappy with my suggestion in the form to provide free Wi-Fi in the cabin. She explained that the management tried ways to install wi-fi, but not successful due to many trees in the compound affecting the connectivity, no idea how true it is. It was merely a suggestion to improve customer experience.

Location! Location! This park has a fabulous position facing the bay and is within walking distance to the Géographe restaurant which serves excellent meals, including wood fired pizzas. We stayed on newly laid concrete slabs in two motorhomes. Unfortunately the nearby amenities block was closed, so we had to walk further up the park. Clean bathrooms with good hot showers. Nice selection of games for use free of charge. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the Freycinet National Park.

The location is great, right behind the tavern and general store and in close proximity to the walking tracks along the Bay. I personally found the staff to be a little cold and the room was basic with a stove we couldn't get to work for us. The showers were good and the Queen size bed comfortable. It appeared to us the cabins were a little overdue for refurbs.

Older style cabin, with all amenities & clean & tidy. Fully equipped with all you need. Tavern on site with delicious menu. Very small little town close by. Freycinet National Park approx 5kms away, with a choice of breathtaking hikes, suitable for every level.

We felt a bit like we were in trouble checking in late, at 5pm. But the accommodation was fine. We had one of the cabins and it was clean and comfortable. Decent kitchen to cook your own meals. It's only a short walk down to the beach to watch the sunset, and finish off with a beer at the pub which is on site. The cafe was great the next morning too. We only had coffee but the menu was very enticing. Great friendly service also. Great location for exploring the Wine Glass Bay Region
