BIG4 Launceston Holiday Park

A spacious and well laid out park. Plenty of showers and toilets, all very clean. A new camp kitchen is being built, but the current one is fine so no need to delay. Staff are very informative and happy! Easy walk to Launceston town centre. A mainly flat walk to the chairlift via town and the gorge, or take a more challenging walk directly to the gorge.

Stayed in one of the condos for one night on our way to Devonport at the end of our trip. King size bed with en suite, double bed, and 4 bunk beds, so could accommodate up to 8 people. It was a fantastic way to relax after a couple of weeks of travelling around Tasmania. Modern, clean, comfortable accommodation with everything you could want. Televisions in living space, and 2 main bedrooms, so you can stream different services if you wish. Spacious bathrooms, including large showers with big shower heads that had good pressure. Modern oven that heated quickly, dishwasher that actually cleaned the plates, with dishwashing powder and liquid provided for cleaning up after meals. Large fridge freezer. Large balcony overlooking the Big 4 site below. Jumping pillow to keep the children entertained. Close to the freeway and Cataract Gorge. Wallabies and Pademelons moving around the site at night and early in the morning. Really enjoyed our one night stay, would highly recommend.

Very comfortable well appointed, the layout is a bit like a bedsit with kitchen lounge and main bed in an open plan layout, with twp bunk beds strategically fitted into a nook by the front door. A great view from your front deck where a small table and chairs allow you to sit and enjoy a vino available from the shop within the main office along with other locally produced items and souvenirs. From the deck overlooking the surrounding hills you can watch the passing parade of cars and trucks and although not far from the main Hwy all windows are double glazed so you can rely on a peaceful nights sleep .

Stayed in a three bedroom condo for 2 nights, the room was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed for our stay except a washing machine. There is a laundry available to use in the park. The view from our room was spectacular. Was even better at night with all the city lights. There are reviews mentioning the noise from the close proximity to the highway. It is noisy especially with the window open but it didn't keep us awake or wake us in the night so wasn't an issue. For younger children there is a jumping pillow. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Received a text when our room was ready which was good if we wanted to check in early.

We had RV to stay in. The park was better than I imagined. Great amenities , has a dump point and water is?available to top up. Kids playing area is good. Kangaroos wallabies were around especially at night.

We stayed on a campsite. The staff were helpful and friendly. The park grounds and amenities were lovely. Except the camp kitchen was inadequate and is currently being upgraded. The other issue the rubbish disposal bins were quite a distance to the amenities and not evenly spread through the park just grouped together. The park is adjacent to the freeway and quite noisy. Other than that the park is in walking distance to the food venues and shops.

My daughter and I travelled from Townsville to Launceston for a 3 week holiday and spent nearly the first week staying in a two bedroom villa at the park. Our villa was very modern, very clean and had everything that we could have wanted. I thought that the proximity of the highway might have caused a problem but you could not hear it once you are inside . Very central location which made it easy to find from the airport and close to everything that we wanted to visit. Could not recommend it more highly as it was perfect for our needs. Thank you for assisting in making our Tassie adventure very enjoyable.

We booked a city villa, it was spacious, modern and clean. Had a large kitchen space and full size fridge. Couch was comfy and we didn't have any road noise. Was nice to open the door in the morning to see a couple of wallabies too. The Phlynns
