BIG4 Low Head Tourist Park

I am more of a National Park campground kinda gal, but every now and then I treat myself to a caravan park to recharge. Big 4 Low Head, with its glowing reviews and affordable rates, seemed perfect for this. I arrived there fully depleted by a few experiences on the road. What a perfect place to rest. Comfortable amenities and hot showers, a fully equiped camp kitchen, including pots and pans, with view on the river. The park is nested between the bush and the river. Super peaceful and comfortable. And the park managers are absolutely lovely. Just can't fault this park and will defo recommend to my friends. Also, Georgetown and Low head are soooo pretty 😍 Wether you need a place to recharge from your travels, comfortable accomodation in a stunning location or stay there for weeks as a base to explore North East Tassie, I am sure you will love it there.

Great caravan park!! Nice flat grass areas for the tent. Kid friendly activities and space for them to run around. Very friendly owners! We were arriving early and they accommodated us to check in and set up camp at 11am as the site was free. So helpful to set up Camp before we went riding for the day.

A planned four day stay at the beautiful Big 4 Low Head tourist park and what a gem! Three couples, three large vans, powered sites. Our host Craig went above and beyond to make our stay great and exceeded our expectations. One of our party of six was having a birthday and we wanted info on a 'nice thing to do'. He organized a charter boat trip on "Big Mumma" through Tamar River & Bass Strait Charters (check them out). Skipper Paul and deckie Jane gave us a fantastic 4 hour cruise. We saw seals playing, massive eagle nests and magnificent scenery along the way, stopping off at Beauty Point pub for a little frothy (as ya do). They provided beautiful platters and they even provided a birthday cake. This was worth every penny and between the couples completely affordable so do it! Do yourself a favor and stay at Craig's Low Head! He has a clean park with excellent amenities so please don't overlook this place - Stay here! The six of us agree that Craig is a top bloke, he even gave our birthday girl a gift, so kind! Don't you go expecting the same though it will eat in to his hard earned profit. Can't recommend this park more highly. If you are from the big island and doing a lap, or Tasmanian like us add this one to your itinerary. Thanks again Craig!

Owner Craig is fantastic, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble, The facilities are clean and well serviced. The view of The Tamar is spectacular with easy access to the bike track and fishing. Our boys loved the peddle cars, Thanks for a great 4 days.

We stayed at an ensuite powered site and really enjoyed it. The ensuite was a good size with practical bench space, and the owners were very friendly. The kids had a great time - lots of activities and they loved the go-kart riding. The location is excellent, close to the penguin tour, lighthouse and beautiful beaches. One small downside was the shower turning cold after 4–5 uses, so an upgraded hot water system would be a big improvement. Overall, a great family-friendly stay.

Had an unpowered camp site that was level and well kept. The amenities were spotless and the camp kitchen had great little touches like complimentary tea and sugar as well as new appliances. Excellent vibe, booked for 1 night, stayed for 2. Loved it. The owners black Labrador puppy was a bonus!

Had a great long weekend stay at the Low Head Big4! I initially booked the wrong sites but Craig and Tracey fixed it up for us, and were super welcoming and accomodating. Great facilities, really nice grassy sites and very family friendly. Very pretty sunsets across the Tamar. A great base for exploring in the north of the state, we just wished we stayed longer and have already booked in for next year.

We had a power site with a van. The facilities were great. They were clean and everything you would need was there. Even the camp kitchen was great. The owners were friendly and shared lots of information about the surrounding area, as well as their own experiences. The grounds were well looked after and rubbish was collected regularly. Could highly recommend this van park. Thank you very much we had a wonderful stay.
