Nice location but for the price ($130/night for a grassed, powered site), if not roads paved with gold, I at least expected them paved with something other than gravel and potholes.
The new amenities block had nice tiles, and the water was hot (until someone flushed the loo), but a single hook to hang things on, nothing to rest anything like soap or shampoo on in the shower, and taps that fall off in your hands does not a great experience make.
We didn't use the camp kitchen, but compared to other parks we have stayed in, it was very basic.
Lack of dump point would be a nuisance if staying longer than a few nights. And if you usually go for a concrete pad site, don't bother (see pics).
We took the stroll (700 metres) from the park to the 'on-site' bar/bistro. The service was friendly, but the food was forgettable.
The outlook and trees were great, and seeing a few wallabies grazing was a nice touch.
Would have been a 3 star if the price was more in line with the standard provided.
Receiving 6 emails at the time of booking, another 9 a few days before arrival, 2 on the day before departure and 1 after departing was a bit over the top (yes, that's 18 emails in total). And getting two text messages telling me to complete the mandatory pre check in (with a link that took me to a completely different caravan park), make me think that the North Korean hackers had become involved.
