BIG4 Opal Holiday Park

We had a great stay at this park! The facilities were top-notch, especially the camp kitchen. It was well-equipped with toasters, microwaves, stoves, sinks, and detergent. There were plenty of seats and a TV, making it a great spot to relax. The toilet and shower block was also impressive, with plenty of toilets, sinks, and bench space. The showers were clean and well-designed, with glass screen doors and ample storage for clothes. The amenities were well-maintained and scattered throughout the park, which was convenient. However, the pool closed a bit early at 5pm, which was a bit disappointing. One thing to note is that the powered sites are gravel, so it's not suitable for soft-floor campers or tents. Additionally, the post-booking communication was limited, which made late check-in a bit tricky. Overall, we'd recommend this park to others, but be aware of the site surface and communication quirks.

We stayed for two nights in our own caravan, so we only needed to use the toilet/shower block out of all the amenities available. I have to say, we were blown away by the high standard of the bathroom block! In all our travels, it was the cleanest we've ever seen! The amenities were spotless and the showers were just beautiful, even better than home. The grounds of the park were also extremely well presented. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates cleanliness of bathrooms and a fantastic shower!

My family and I have a wonderful stay here. Drive through sites large and spacious and are all gravel (it was hard to hammer in pegs). Entire park is clean and well maintained, bins get emptied regularly and they have their own fossicking area. Lots of amenities throughout the park and the main block is large with a generous amount of toilets and showers. Well equipped camp kitchens and staff are welcoming and friendly. Well like to option of purchasing barista coffee each morning. Large laundry facilities but only have one dryer available, payment through credit card device only. Definitely recommend this holiday park while in Lightning Ridge.

Large , easily accessible flat sites . Always feel safe staying here. Great amenities and surrounds. Super friendly staff. |Stayed over Easter , park was full but never felt overcrowded. |Walking distance to CBD and hot pools.|A great place to do as much or as little as you want.

We stayed here unexpectedly for 2 nights in our van. Great power showers and the pool was a bonus. Great little fossicking area at the back of the park. We don’t usually stay at Big 4 Parks but this one was great value for money. Very pleasant grounds with clean facilities. Also pet friendly with doggy day care available if needed.

Great park with big sites. Clean amenities, great location with the artesion pool across the road. Only small negative would be to have a walkway between rows to the amenities block? See people cutting through sites?

Dog friendly. Clean fresh amenities blocks. Laundry is card only $7 a load. Staff are wonderful, sites are large. Great for an overnight stay. Heated pool.

The park was great but their cashless policy is unnecessarily restrictive. In a hospitality environment, guests expect options—not being able to use legal tender feels both unwelcoming and impractical - for this reason I would not return.||On top of this fire pits are often considered a communal focal point in campgrounds, in this case, it falls short—offering little more than a token gesture toward social interaction, without creating any real atmosphere or sense of connection among guests.||Bush powt ladies were awesome and created an atmosphere the fire pit lacked.
