BIG4 Strahan Holiday Retreat

Some of the cabins are a bit daggy but ours was fine. Bed and living area sofa were comfortable, heating worked, bathroom was clean and kitchenette area was good. Bottlo around 50m away which was quite handy. No complaints from me but it's luck of the draw as to what your rooms will be like as people travelling with us had cabins that were noticeably rougher than ours. Bottlo closes early so get in quick. Also there's a deli next door that does burgers and stuff.

Comfortable rooms, very clean, nice shower. Didn't see any platypus but went for a walk around the river. Grandkids loved the river and the playground. My 5 yr old grandson found some bark shaped like Harry Potters broom and wand. He loved it!

This was a wonderful break in a what had been a busy had fast paced holiday. It was comfortable, relaxed and allowed us to commute by foot rather than driving everywhere. It's a beautiful spot for a quiet getaway and technology break. I appreciated the heater being left on for our arrival. We had a 4.5+ hour drive from Hobart prior to this accommodation in high winds. It was nice to arrive to something comfortable rather than freezing. Thank you also for the staff kindly providing an additional towel as requested. The inclusion of an airing rack in the cabin was also appreciated, we get soaked. That rack was put to good use.

We were pleasantly surprised at our accommodation- spacious and very clean. The bed was soooo comfortable. The location was great, easy to get to and will recommend to friends. Only gripe the staff member at front counter needs a lesson on customer service.

We stayed at Strahan Big 4 on our recent holiday, the cabin was perfect for our needs and the kids enjoyed spotting platypuses in the creeks on dusk. Upon checkout I managed to leave behind my Samsung Galaxy ear buds (camouflaged on the white sheets). Believing these would be well and truly gone, I was pleasantly surprised when I contacted them to find out the cleaner had handed them into the office. It's fantastic to see that honest people still exist. I have since been returned my ear buds and grateful I only had to sort out postage instead of the significant cost to replace them. Much appreciated customer service!

We stayed at Strahan Big 4 Holiday Retreat recently while travelling around Tasmania. This was one of the worst Big 4 Parks we have stayed at. The Staff at reception need to do a training course in Customer Service. The cabin we stayed in was nothing like the photos on the Big 4 site. Very outdated and had a horrible smell. There was mould in the bathroom, along with cobwebs on the walls and parts of the ceiling. The blankets were musky and needed a good wash. The whole cabin could have done with a good clean. We travel around Tasmania every year and will never stay here again. Definitely not up to the Big 4 standard. !!!

Great stay at Big 4 Strahan in spotlessly clean warm cabin, had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Comfortable bed with electric blanket for chilly nights. Great base to explore Strahan and do Gordon River cruise.

We had a wonderful stay at Big4 Strahan. The 2 bedroom apartment had lots of living space which was handy with wet weather and a little one. Short walk to playgrounds and a short drive to the main street of town. Lots of onsite things to explore!
