BIG4 Strahan Holiday Retreat

Some of the cabins are a bit daggy but ours was fine. Bed and living area sofa were comfortable, heating worked, bathroom was clean and kitchenette area was good. Bottlo around 50m away which was quite handy. No complaints from me but it's luck of the draw as to what your rooms will be like as people travelling with us had cabins that were noticeably rougher than ours. Bottlo closes early so get in quick. Also there's a deli next door that does burgers and stuff.

We had a wonderful stay at Big4 Strahan. The 2 bedroom apartment had lots of living space which was handy with wet weather and a little one. Short walk to playgrounds and a short drive to the main street of town. Lots of onsite things to explore!

We stayed at Strahan Big 4 on our recent holiday, the cabin was perfect for our needs and the kids enjoyed spotting platypuses in the creeks on dusk. Upon checkout I managed to leave behind my Samsung Galaxy ear buds (camouflaged on the white sheets). Believing these would be well and truly gone, I was pleasantly surprised when I contacted them to find out the cleaner had handed them into the office. It's fantastic to see that honest people still exist. I have since been returned my ear buds and grateful I only had to sort out postage instead of the significant cost to replace them. Much appreciated customer service!

The staff were rude. The cabin was so old & uncomfortable. In 20 days traveling Tasmania this was our worst stay. Black mold in the bathroom. Backsplash in bathroom & kitchen cracked & peeling. No where to put luggage. I had to wipe down the outdoor setting before I could sit on it. Had to turn the heater/air con off as it shook the cabin - outside temp was 4 degrees. Tiny towels. Bunks no good for kids over 10 as they are tiny. This was a lifetime trip for my family & I was extremely disappointed in Big 4.

Spacious, clean and well facilitated cabin. Had no communication with office team, so very self serve, accessible nonetheless. Would be good to have the room and building photos updated on the website as where we stayed and the surrounds looked nothing like the photos.

Cabin 4 was just plain awful. Having stayed in many Big4 properties this one was a huge let down. Old and dated doesn’t even cover it. No smoke alarm. Sofa bed was 25 years plus and so uncomfortable to sit on. The main bed Mattress springs were noisy and in some parts lumpy. No heating apart from a freestanding unit that struggled to heat anything at all. So we froze. The electric blanket was just plain dangerous with a test tag due date of 2022, with single insulated wires exposed. Very dangerous. As we had tours booked for the full two days we stayed we didn’t have time to visit the office when it was open to complain, otherwise we would have missed our pre booked activities. The whole cabin smelt. We were so disappointed and do not recommend these cabins.

Stayed in a cabin for two nights, with my husband and two children. We were very disappointed in the room, all for the beds were very uncomfortable, even though it was a cabin for 4 people, there was really only enough room for 2 people. It was very outdated and small cabin The cabin was very close to the main road too, so we were woken early by workman. Overall, we were very unsatisfied with our experience there.

We were looked after really well, great staff. We only stayed one night, but we didn’t find the room very comfortable., it was quite outdated. Recommend a short stay as it’s conveniently located
