BIG4 Tassie Getaway Parks Stanley

This suited our needs. It was a place to lay our heads for a night and different scenery before our ferry trip home. I would definitely think about coming back to Stanley and this accommodation. It's a beautiful park in a beautiful part of Tasmania. The beds were so comfortable. The slightly unusual configuration of the cabin worked exceptionally well for us. Allowing us our spaces for mid afternoon naps and reading. I want to thank the lovely woman in reception (sorry I didn't get your name) for offering us a new cabin after we discovered some issues with our lighting and giving us a second milk. The penguins coming in was a bit of a surprise (it shouldn't have been) but we really enjoyed it. We went out and spotted for a while, I got a picture of a demonic penguin.

Out of our 2.5 week trip around Tassie, this was by far the best caravan park we stayed at. We got a water view cabin and it was absolutely gorgeous, the view was amazing! Beautiful location, with a great view of the nut. Amenities were superb and very clean - as well as a games room for kiddies (we don’t have kids but we had a play of air hockey while waiting for our washing!) at night time there was penguins waddling around the site which was amazing! Couldn’t fault this big4 at all! Will definitely be back when we come on another Tassie tour!

Highly recommend this park location. Right under the Nut, you can walk everywhere. The cabins have everything you need. You can also walk into town and to all of the restaurants and cafes. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. We had left medication at our last hotel in Devonport and Anita and Liz arranged for it to be collected and delivered to us. Saving us a 3hr trip. So thoughtful. We will be back.

We came to stay on our way sround Tassie on our road trip to see the penguins! When we booked in we were greeted by young Paige and she was so professional and helpful with all our questions, mainly about the little fellas! The room was comfortable and warm, only a short walk in the cold to see the stars of the show! The next day on checkout we said goodbye to Paige we thanked her again for her help! Keep nice young lady!

We had a great time at BIG4 Stanley! The amenities were super clean and well-maintained some of the best we’ve seen on our trip, staff were lovely and very accommodating. ||A real highlight was spotting lots of little penguins nearby, which was such a special experience.||The sites are nice and flat, which made setup easy, but each one has a small ledge you have to reverse over, which was a bit annoying. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.||Overall, a lovely spot and would definitely stay again!

This place was awesome. Penguins came right up to camp site and didn’t need to go anywhere. The nut walk was also good however the chair lift was not going in offseason ( stayed in July). Had a kids room but kids spent all their change there. Kitchen was brilliant and was tidy. Stayed in a powered site. Can have a fire pit but have to bring your own.

Nice town and a nice park. The amenities were excellent and the staff were lovely. Sad about the long termers being kicked out because they are allegedly an "eyesore." But we were all informed that they will find accommodation elsewhere - which of course it is easy for anyone to say. The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

Fantastic staff, very clean amenities. We saw little penguins it was amazing. Thank you To all the staff they were very informative, helpful and friendly. We stayed I. Our own can do I can’t comment on the rooms except tge kitchen facilities
