BIG4 Tassie Getaway Parks Stanley

We had a great time at BIG4 Stanley! The amenities were super clean and well-maintained some of the best we’ve seen on our trip, staff were lovely and very accommodating. ||A real highlight was spotting lots of little penguins nearby, which was such a special experience.||The sites are nice and flat, which made setup easy, but each one has a small ledge you have to reverse over, which was a bit annoying. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.||Overall, a lovely spot and would definitely stay again!

This place was awesome. Penguins came right up to camp site and didn’t need to go anywhere. The nut walk was also good however the chair lift was not going in offseason ( stayed in July). Had a kids room but kids spent all their change there. Kitchen was brilliant and was tidy. Stayed in a powered site. Can have a fire pit but have to bring your own.

Talk about a friendly and obliging welcome. Anita at the front desk and the other support staff were delightful. And we were given the option of two sites to choose from - whichever suited us the most! Facilities were great. We had a beachside caravan site which was well protected from the prevailing winds and very handy to duck out at night to watch the meanderings of the nocturnal fairy penguins. Very close to the historical township, The Nut and a great place to start the drive tour of the Tarkine Trail taking in the glorious north west coast and beautiful rainforests. We were blessed with good weather most of the time. We would certainly recommend the Big4 Tassie caravan park to anyone wanting to tour this region of beautiful Tasmania.

The location is stunning on the waterfront yet also central to town. We stayed in a water view cabin which was very spacious and clean. It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the evening and we even saw some penguins walk by. The service was very helpful and friendly .

Where do we start … WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Magnificently kept grounds. Staff are so helpful and respectful. Booked a powered site for 4 nights and stayed 7. Magnificent view of The Nut. Take the chairlift to explore The Nut and explore the beautiful town with so much history. Fairy Penguins outside the Park every night. Peaceful and tranquil place to base yourself to explore.

Great caravan park right on the water. Stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Staff are really friendly and incredibly informative and helpful. Amenities are very good with free bathmats to use. Penguins are right out the front on the rock wall, with some coming through the park at night. Highly recommend staying.

We stayed in a waterview cabin, super comfy, great beds, spacious cabin. Quiet (even tho busy) .. best sleep on this trip so far! Also saw penguins on the boardwalk after dark!
