BIG4 Whitsunday Islands Holiday Park

Had an overnight stay in our caravan at the park. It is a beautiful dog friendly park with clean amenities. The park has a small off leash dog park which was a nice added touch for our pooch. A bit of noise from airstrip next door but it really wasn't too much of a bother. Was able to walk through the park to the cafe at the airstrip for coffee and breakfast which great! Staff were very friendly and the park is well maintained. They have dog friendly cabins also :) Reasonable nightly rates! Would highly recommend!

Location of this site in terms of the town is great, right on the bus route, 10 mins into the centre. The site it’s self is very dated, it needs a tidy up, gardens are unkept, kitchen area is not great - there was a sign saying closed for deep cleaning in Tuesday - the area hasn’t seen a proper clean for a number of months. Showers and toilets were clean. Quiet site. The site is right next to the runway for Whitsundays airport, there is only a fence line separating the two, plans start at 6:30. It wasn’t an issue for us as we were awake anyway and if you like planes, it’s great as you can get all through to the airfield. Check out the cafe there, absolutely lovely for breakfast, real gem. Overall ok, but please have a tidy up around site and this could be a lovely place in the amongst the trees.

A nice basic caravan park. Clean amenities. Next to the airstrip so fairly constant plane and helicopter noise all day. They charged $7 for a 5kg load of washing with a 30 minute cycle. It's a fair way out of Airlie Beach. We had a nice flat camp site, but not shady or private. A great spot for couples not wanting the hustle and bustle of families as there are no kid-friendly activitieed asides from the pool.

We had a lovely stay at big 4 Whitsundays . The leafy gardens are beautiful and well cared for, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Our standard cabin was comfortable but showing its age—it could use a little refresh, which I understand is already in the works. The Hanger Café next door is a great spot for a meal or coffee. You do hear planes from the nearby airport occasionally, but it’s only for a moment and doesn’t take away from the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay!

We really enjoyed this caravan park. The gardens were beautiful, facilities clean and staff very friendly. The airport next door was a highlight for us as our 7 year old was thrilled to watch the tourist planes take off and land, as well as watch the sky divers float down to the tarmac. The planes started around 7am and finish by sundown so it didn't affect our sleep. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent place to stay. Very well maintained with a nice pool. Just outside of the main town of Airlie Beach so it is nice and quiet. Very friendly staff. This park is a credit to them. Right next to the airstrip that takes people out for sightseeing and sky diving. The Hanger Cafe has great coffee. Definitely worth the drive and I will definitely be back to stay again. Safe and friendly.

A great stay in the Superior 2 Bedroom Cabins, clean and modern look. The Cafe had great coffee and delicious brekky. This Big 4 is perfect if you’re not interested in the water parks and they still have a nice pool! It’s a much more affordable option.

Lovely campsite with great prices. Thought the camp kitchen would have been bigger for such a big campsite - only two hobs. Toilets and showers were always clean. Laundry facilities were great. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Right by the airport for the reef flights I was getting such FOMO because we hadn’t booked a scenic flight. The noise wasn’t a problem for us. Live music on Wednesday night was lovely! Great vibes and really enjoyed it. Would definitely stay again!
