Mango Chamoya, Coffee Toffee (sad that only 1 does it). Family run business. There are a few in the county so go support them!

Head onto the 101 to Ventura County

Ordered a drink with no bobba Worker saw a regular got all excited and said the regular right while she proceeds to make my order wrong and added boba Had to remake my drink and her regulars had there drinks finished before mine was Pay attention it wasn’t a hard order at all Remade the drink very poorly just scooped out my drink from one cup to another and it still has boba flavor Didn’t get all my coconut jelly cause it was left with the boba

Google
We used Big Straw Boba for our wedding in Camarillo as the "late night snack" and they were AMAZING! We loved working with Derrick - he made us a custom Lavender Milk Tea (our wedding theme was Lavender!) And Taro! We brought our own dispensers and bowls for the boba and ice on sale at Target and Derrick delivered it and loaded it up! Our guests said it was their favorite part!! Thanks Derrick!!

Google
This location of Big Straw is okay, the actual boba balls are flavorless however, the thai tea drink is hit or miss, my favorite right now is chocolate/peanut butter/coffee mix. So so so good!!! Still the best boba you can find in town.

Google
This place has been going downhill this past year. Sometimes you don’t get greeted and they always seem to have a rude attitude. Every once in a while there is someone there who is courteous. Today my husband went in for some bobas with our son and the lady at the register was extremely rude. We will be looking for a different boba place to go to.

Jake

Google
They have the greatest cotton candy milk flavor, it will definitely spark childhood memories flashbacks. I really wish I could visit. Have to order 2 drinks, 1 for the ride home and 1 to drink at home.

Google
My boyfriend showed me this place a few months ago and I am totally in love! The horchata boba is my go to. I prefer this smaller location than the one on saviers, it's smaller and faster.

Kaiden W.

Google
This is my absolute favorite Boba place. I've been to other Boba places around Ventura and Santa Barbara and they are quite honestly very bougie and just not as good as Bigstraw Boba. Bigstraw is just amazing. You can easily see the passion for what they do, and it comes out in just how delicious the drinks are. They're simple, but that's how it should be. Easy to understand ingredients with a lot of modifications to reduce the sugar, or replace ingredients if you have allergies. The number of flavors they have is mind-blowing - there truly is something for everyone and you can't go wrong. Also, as an artist I have to say 8 love their aesthetic and that logo design is great. I tell literally everyone I know that Bigstraw Boba is the absolute best.

Andrea

Google
Haven’t been here for a minute. The place barely had 4 people in and still manage to forget my drink but somehow all the people after me managed to get their drinks before me. Horrible

Yelp
Service was nice, but slow, I was the only one there and it took them at least 5 minutes to get to me. Small, there is seating but no tables. Good smoothies and teas. I would recommend planing ordering to go.
google avatar

Yelp
the boba tasted off, the quality could be better, I did not finish the drink, I don't know if I would return

Yelp
The Camarillo location that closed has the same number as my home phone please let everyone know that big straw Camarillo isn't my house...

Yelp
We love love this place. So many flavors, so many combinations....all of it is awesome. This is what we love: 1. Coconut with Coconut Jelly 2. Coconut & Strawberry with Strawberry Popping Boba 3. Mangoneada 4. Strawberry Mango with Rainbow Jelly

Yelp
Been coming to bigstraw for years. In the past, there were some rude cashiers but last few times we visited, it was a more pleasant experience.. at least for this location. ! New changes to their menu and prices of drinks ! - There is a 4% upcharge per drink if you're paying card/apple pay. - 4% reduced fee with cash? There's good days and bad days at all of their locations. If it's not that busy, drinks are made perfectly. Some go to's are Thai tea over ice, Vanilla latte blended, Mango blended, Chocolate Strawberry blended, and Horchata blended. Maybe buy new straws cause our straws broke last time trying to drink the boba pearls. Lastly, we sometimes call in our order if it's close to closing time. Makes everything faster. Overall, will continue to come here for our weekly cravings for boba

Yelp
I would love to recommend big straw boba. The drink tasted amazing, the service was excellent and the ambiance felt good. It was a great experience!

Yelp
Price is reasonable if you pay with cash. It was $6.95 for most large drinks. I got a large avocado smoothie with less sweetness and no boba and my sister did too. My brother got a large soursop with no boba and my boyfriend got a large taro with less sweetness and boba. The service was quick and not super friendly but they were pretty busy and had our drinks ready quickly. The inside has weird green lighting and no one really stayed around to consume their drinks. There were a lot of benches to sit and wait but no tables, so I don't think they encourage people to stay. The drinks were good. I think they accidentally made the avocado smoothie very not sweet because they combined our smoothies into blender and the taro smoothie was a bit sweeter. The flavors were pretty strong for powdered drinks but I do wish mine was a just tiny bit sweeter. The cashier gave us only 3 options: no sweetness, less sweet, or normal. Would come again.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and I just left now because the service was horrible. The girl at the register did not make eye contact once walked away while talking and I didn't even hear what she said. Poor customer service and not friendly or professional at all. When I asked for her name she refused to give it . Worst service and very dissatisfied especially since my daughter and I have always enjoyed coming here. I'd give zero stars if I could .
google avatar

Erica G.

Yelp
This is my mom's favorite boba place , my second favorite place . I love the Thai Tea with boba. My mom gets the papaya . There is always a line, it's a popular spot. It's closed at random times though so that's a little annoying . I really enjoy their drinks . It's close to my house so we are here often.
google avatar

Destinie S.

Yelp
The best boba I've ever had & I've had a lot of boba! It was seriously so delicious! The owner was really kind as well! I definitely recommend!
google avatar

Emilia T.

Yelp
My last review still stands, but my drinks are made correctly. The reason why i did not give them more stars is because the customer service is crap whenever the owner is NOT there. No greeting or friendliness. The short guy with the glasses who rang me up literally shoved the Clover payment machine to me, and when i was done paying, he slid the machine back hard that it hit the half wall on the counter. As he made my drink, he just slammed everything (the fridge door where it bounced back and didn't close and the tubs of flavored powders). Even the customer behind me noticed. Any employee who doesn't respect the business's property is a really unhappy, bitter employee.
google avatar

Lianna M.

Yelp
This is not the greatest place to get a boba drink. For anyone that doesn't eat dairy, none of their milk tea drinks can be made non-dairy. It's a disappointment because all of the other boba places I have ever been to have a non-dairy option. It is also confusing because my sister wanted the taro smoothie, and although they use coconut creme the taro powder they use still has milk. I got a less sweet passion fruit green tea. It was okay, but if I were to visit Oxnard again I wouldn't be back here for a boba drink. They also have no food or snack options. Save your time and money for a boba place that has your every need. Staff was polite and were wearing masks. They only allowed four people at a time which is good, but the downfall is that there was a cold wind tunnel while we waited outside. I don't think the chilly wait outside is worth it!
google avatar

Ulli H.

Yelp
The service was friendly and quick, the store was clean and neatly kept. Unfortunately, not the most flavorful Thai tea in town, but better than some of the competition around. The slushy type ice isn't my favorite either, I prefer proper ice cubes that melt slower. I might come back and try out something else if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Kobe B.

Yelp
Great tasting drink and boba. The drinks are made fast and well which is excellent. I prefer sweeter milk tea, and this is sweeter than other places I feel, so if you don't like that it may not be for you. My brother and I used to go a lot more, but it started to get a bit pricey for us.
google avatar

Patrick E.

Yelp
First time here. I. Am. Impressed. Customer service was as awesome as the strawberry creamsicle double boba! 10 out of 10 would go here again.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
Made the mistake to go there 10 minutes before closing on a Friday night, my drink and customer service were execrable.

Yelp
If your looking for a cool treat to combat the summer heat. Big straw Boba is the place to be. They have numerous, exotic flavors like cotton candy. Savory flavors, like Chimoy mango & the common flavors, strawberry, kiwi and mango.
google avatar

HueroVero M.

Yelp
So the service was fast the lady's there were nice the drinks are good but not for me at all lol it was clean inside so that's always a plus

Susana L.

Yelp
Oh, I've been to Big Straw Boba before! It's one of my favorite boba places in town. The drinks are delicious and they have a great variety of flavors to choose from. The boba is always nice and chewy, and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend trying their signature drinks like the Brown Sugar Milk Tea or the Taro Milk Tea. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

NinaMarie B.

Yelp
Best Service Ever - fast, efficient and friendly. Love the Staff. The manager Derrick is the Best Boba Guy evah!
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
The Boba is really good and made fresh, but the staff has mad attitude though. Thought I walked into a Waffle House with how much attitude the staff had. 4 stars for the boba. 1 star for the Staff.

Yelp
Yummy n fast service, ez to order and pkace is clean n friendly staff, large menu of items

Yelp
I'll be the first to admit I don't really understand boba and the hype around it, but after coming here a few times I am kinda hooked! This last visit I decided on something different: Mango Chamoy. HOLY HOLY I could have downed that ON THE SPOT and ordered a 2nd one to go! The lady who recommended that flavor to me said it's very popular and gets ordered a lot. I sure did appreciate her recommendation! I can't find enough words to describe properly how amazing my drink tasted. The mango was good and the chamoy was AMAZING. Sorry. It really was. It was busy when I got there (yay!) and busy when I left. You know I'll be back again soon and I highly recommend this place and any of their chamoy drinks. I think next might be the green apple? Hmmmm. :) I'll let you know!
google avatar

Angelin S.

Yelp
Was going to give 4 stars but the drinks here were mediocre at best. Huge minus because the cashier (I think the only guy working there) wasn't wearing a mask at all. You're joking, right? Anyway, I got a Thai Tea with boba and coffee jelly. The Thai tea was good, but the boba and coffee jelly were very flavorless. Wasn't a fan of how they used crushed ice either since it melts faster imo.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
The boba drinks here were good and perfect for a nice, sunny day! I got the jasmine green milk tea with boba and it was very flavorful. My boyfriend got the strawberry smoothie with lychee and fruit jelly, which also was delicious. They have these jumbo sized cups like the ones they have in Vegas but only for the smoothies. I was sad they couldn't do the jasmine green milk tea in the huge cups because the large was kind of small for me. We paid $5.50 each for a "large." I definitely could've drank at least 3 of their "large" cups. Maybe next time
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
I ordered the traditional Boba Milk Tea. Tons of honey flavor in the boba and in the milk tea. Unfortunately, there wasn't much tea flavor. Also, I ordered this drink to be less sweet. It was a good thing that I did because it was still super sweet. I'm going to be generous and give 4 stars instead of 3 stars because of it's location. If Big Straw Boba was in my neighborhood of Rowland Heights, this place would probably get 3 stars because there are Boba shops every 1/2 mile you drive (the competitions is fierce to have the best Boba milk tea here).
google avatar

Jasmine F.

Yelp
To be honest, I just came here because I heard this place had the split cup boba. Although when I tried the boba, I wasn't that impressed. I ordered a split cup with half Thai Tea and half Milk Tea which was called Tiger Tea. They basically only have this option of a split cup and green tea options. The split cup is pretty cool because it's made from a durable plastic that you can reuse; that's probably why it cost $6. The boba was okay and the drink was a bit on the watery side. I don't know if it's just me, but their Milk Tea barely had any flavor. Inside was fairly small as it did not have any seats inside, but just a long cushioned bench along the wall. They also do not have restrooms here. I do applaud them on their fast service though! They only had one worker at the time and there was a small line, but I only waited about 2 minutes for my drink. I'd come back, but just to try their fruit/slush drinks. I don't think I'd order another milk tea here.
google avatar

Daisy G.

Yelp
My husband made me try boba. My first drink was the milk tea boba but my all time favorite is the horchata boba. It's to die for!!

Yelp
I grew up in the SGV area, where almost every street around has a boba or tea shop, so I'm quite familiar with the drinks. I've also worked at a couple of boba shops already so I know most of the process. This however, was not that great. I guess it's okay considering there's practically no boba places around, but in comparison to half and half or au79, I'd give it a definite no. The service here is alright. They seem friendly. But the drink texture was straight up powder. I get that some people make their drinks with powder, but when it's not thoroughly mixed, it's pretty unpleasant. The boba is bland. And not good at all. When people make boba, it's usually freshly made, with brown sugar or honey. I guess there's no memo on that over here. Also, even with the split cup, I don't think it's that great. As harsh as it sounds, I don't think I'll be back again.
google avatar

Reem Y.

Yelp
Best boba in Ventura, County. Promise! Their flavors are delicious-- not diluted but not too sweet. Blended perfectly. And, their boba is the texture it is supposed to be. It's not old or gross like other places. And, the owner is so warm and friendly. My favorites are the following: Green Tea (blended), Thai Tea (iced) Milk Tea (iced); Honey Dew (blended); Taro (blended).
google avatar

Jessamine A.

Yelp
My niecey took us here and it was pretty good. The boba was cooked properly and tasted pretty good--not hard and not mushy. I had the mocha with boba and whipped cream. The mocha flavor was definitely distinct and yummy. H had the Thai tea with boba, her new flavor craving. It was definitely flavorful this time and had a good amount of boba. Last time we bought from here her drink had about 15-20 pieces of boba. This time there was at least 1/4 cup of boba at the bottom of her cup. They even had a cute boba mug I HAD to buy.

Yelp
Of the two Bigstraw Boba locations in Oxnard, I prefer this one since it's in a nicer area. The inside is small but has one long bench along the back wall for you to wait or enjoy your drink at. Some of the restaurants in the area sell boba, but this is the only true boba shop. BOBA: Watermelon w/ Boba: Good! You get the full flavor of watermelon with each sip. You also get a good amount of large boba, which is always appreciated. The consistency, however, is interesting. It's more like a slush as opposed to a smoothie. Hazelnut w/ Boba: Good! Like the watermelon, you get a strong taste of hazelnut with every sip. The sweetness is perfect, while the consistency was also more of a slush than a creamy smoothie. The drawback to that is it melts and turns to liquid quicker. Chamango w/ Boba: Love it! In place of mango, they add boba. There was a generous amount of chamoy mixed in with the drink, while the sweetness was on point. I would re-order this in a heartbeat! The main issue we had with all three drinks was the overcooked boba. Most were too soft, some were soggy, and others were just right. Beyond that, Bigstraw Boba is a solid spot to get your boba fix.
google avatar

Sean G.

Yelp
Bigstraw is right around the corner from my house and happens to be my favorite boba spot! The blends they have are delicious; my personal favorite is strawberry and pineapple with boba. My thing has always been to shake up the boba in the drink so I don't get a mouthful of it. I tried the blended Horchata flavor tonight and was not disappointed! I prefer to call ahead and order just so things move smoothly, but this place is super quick!
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
Best Boba in the Community! As an avid boba lover, I always come to Bigstraw whenever I visit Oxnard. I've been ordering drinks here for the past 8 years and will continue to support this business in the future. I highly recommend: 1. Cookies and Cream 2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana They offer Yard Cups, which are essentially Fat Tuesdays but bigger and come with BIG straws (get it?). My LA/OC friends are always amazed (and jealous) at the size of it. I always tell them "you can only find it in Oxnard!" Today, I ordered the Tiger Tea (half thai tea, half milk tea). It was decent and worth trying something new, but i'd stick with the drinks i recommended above. To be honest, I have tried better boba places in LA/OC/The Valley, but you have to understand that Boba isn't as popular in Ventura County. Bigstraw will always be one of my top Boba places.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
IF YOU ARE A BOBA FANATIC, this place is a disappointment. I knew this place wasn't your typical bougie boba shop with premium or high quality ingredients but I decided to give the benefit of the doubt. I stopped by and had my order taken down. When I received my drink, the first sip I had, I knew immediately I had to throw my drink away. Nasty boba. My boba was either hard or mushy. The drink was watered down but had a load of sugar. Little to no creamy flavor in my classic milk tea. It was like they use the cheapest black tea and threw in a tiny dash of nondairy creamer (powder version).
google avatar

Kimiko L.

Yelp
This PLACE....the saving grace for very PICKY boba drinkers! The reality is that the boba may not be chewy enough- but that's only for one of us- the other one of us loves it- so that is a wash. The SERVICE from Maria and Sandy was OUTSTANDING and we hope that the owners recognize them for their above and beyond work ethics. We'll be back- the split cup idea is great for those of us who want to get a taste of two drinks. We got one with spiced chai and Thai tea and the other was spiced chai and jasmine milk tea. LIFE IS SO MUCH FUN with this option!

Roxy G.

Yelp
It was about 6 months or so that I decided to try boba.... Honestly, I thought that I would probably not like it but I was willing to give it a try , and yes I really enjoyed it . A very clean asthenosphere and the workers are very kind . Within five minutes ... I already had my order . The only complaint that I have is that for some reason at 8:30 they ran out of Boba lol. Maybe I need to be there by 7:30.
google avatar

Jakob F.

Yelp
I went here for the first time and my drink was very good and tasted as it should've. My girlfriend on the other hand ordered their Cookies and Cream Boba and it tasted nothing like Cookies and Cream! It tasted like watered down coffee. The service was very horrible. It was a teenage girl working who greeted us but had an attitude which is not good for business. We asked her a question and do isn't respond and walked away to make our boba. Very disrespectful and not good a good place to get boba.
google avatar

Joyce Y.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting too much for a Boba drink considering that when I checked Yelp around Ventura area, this was the only place I saw that had decent photos and reviews. However, even before entering the store, I felt like we were about to waste our money buying our drinks here. I was right!!! First of all, while thinking of what to order, this worker had given us this weird bored face that she looked like she was so annoyed waiting for us to order. You can't expect people to order quickly if you have so much in your menu!!! Also, since I've tasted lots of greAt quality Taiwanese Boba from different authentic boba specialty stores, I New by looking at the menu that all they offered in this store were made from processed flavored chemicals full of sugar. The Boba they "mixed" for us was full of unmixed powder at the bottom of the cup. My kids did not finish their drinks!!! What a waste. Overall experience... thumbs down. I don't like going to places where there's bad service. If these people want to earn money, make sure they work in a place where they like what they do so they can project good customer service to their customers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this boba place. If you're finding one, make sure to find an authentic place that makes all their drinks from fresh fruits not from powdered chemicals. This is my honest review.
google avatar

Lilian H.

Yelp
Great decor! Great set up! Fresh boba made daily! Owner is very responsive, advertising is on point! Amazing customer service! Great to see the high energy! Also the freebies don't hurt!!! 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Hana B.

Yelp
Boba was not fresh and they put so much crushed ice in my milk tea I couldn't even sip up the liquid. Tried it out because of the high reviews but definitely left disappointed. Will be trying a different boba place in this area next time.
google avatar

Dave A.

Yelp
This place is a MUST TRY if you know anything about boba or are interested in a taste test. There is a freshness to their smoothies because they use real ingredients... that's right, REAL taro in the taro smoothie... what a concept! Prices may be a little bit more, but not everyone uses fresh ingredients. Most vendors usually just use powder to flavor their boba drinks. NOT HERE! Oh, it is delicious here & the boys who run things "handle their bizness!" There is a large selection of flavors and every drink is made after its ordered. Boba here is prepared just right, never too hard or soft. Service is friendly & store is always clean. Location is behind Carl's Jr. on Vineyard Ave. beside the Circle K store. Our out of town guests ask to come here ALL THE TIME, for one reason, it ain't easy to find quality boba drinks the way it's done here. ASIDE: Price - small $4.00 / large $4.80
google avatar

Youri Y.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this BigStraw! :) I love the boba drinks here. The flavors are limitless and they have some interesting combinations like avocado mango, which tasted pretty good. The employees were friendly and fast in making the drinks. I also like their fish tank that's filled with cute glowing fishes. It gives the boba shop a nice relaxing touch. Would love to give it 5 stars but I feel like the prices are kinda high compared to their other location at the Centerpoint Mall. Nonetheless, they have the best boba in Oxnard :)
google avatar

Pamela S.

Yelp
Got a lavender milk tea with boba, with less sugar. It was okay... way too much ice and couldn't taste much lavender. I'm sure regular sugar would've been too sweet. Decent boba texture.
google avatar

Keya M.

Yelp
My first time visiting BigStraw Boba in Oxnard. I was greeted by a super nice employee and she told me what her favorites were. There was so many flavors and combinations to choose from. I chose one of her suggestions. Pineapple/Mango with boba! So good! Don't know if I was more fascinated with the yummy flavor(not to sweet) or the swanky machine that heat seals the label to the top of your cup! Haha! The little things that fascinate us foodies! Definitely give this place a try!
google avatar

Jhinel M.

Yelp
Lavender Milk Tea w/Boba and Coffee Jelly. My forever favorite! Never thought I'd have boba everyday until I came here. Place is inviting. Drinks are yummy. The workers are nice.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I enjoy my first boba from here, I ordered the Thai Tea with boba and custard pudding. The place was clean and the women employees working tonight were nice. My drink was made in a timely matter, the drink wasn't too sweet it was just right and the boba didn't have a taste, but weren't bad either. I'll be coming back for sure!
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
for my boyfriends birthday, we went out of town for the weekend. per usual, we normally crave boba or coffee. luckily, we found this place 10 minutes away from the airbnb we were staying at. the place was pretty difficult to find, not gonna lie. it was tucked away in a small plaza. it was so hard to find - even my google maps couldn't find it! getting to this place was well worth it though. the milk tea was unlike any other I've had. it wasn't the best, but it was good. sadly, it kind of tasted like the whole drink was made out of powder and syrup... maybe that's why it was good... or was I just thirsty? the tapioca was soft and chewy. didn't have much flavor to it but the texture was on point. the price for this small size cup came out to almost $4 which is pretty expensive for a boba milk tea that wasn't up to par as other boba joints.
google avatar

Bie U.

Yelp
They use real avocado which in my book, makes them a winner! Now, if they would only use real espresso coffee rather than coffee powder and serve Vietnamese ice coffee...
