My 16 Favorite Things to Do in Austin in 2025

"For a more active brewery tour I recommend Bike and Brew ATX — their bike tour visits three breweries and includes three flights of beer for about $75 USD." - Matthew Kepnes

Google
We had an excellent experience! Jake was our guide, and he did a fantastic job showcasing everything East Austin has to offer. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in exploring the great breweries, art, and culture of East Austin. This was our second time taking this tour, and we'll definitely be back to do it again!

Megan K.

Google
Great experience! Jake was an amazing guide giving a great mix of history and general Austin knowledge. Gave great recommendations for places to check out the rest of our stay. Breweries were all amazing!

Stephanie B.

Google
Awesome ride! Jake was our guide for the brewery tour and did a fantastic job showing us all East Austin has to offer. Very informational yet casual and fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to see a little more of east Austin and it's art and culture. In fact, this is our second time doing this tour!

It was 70 and Sunny but believe it or not the weather was only part of the fun. My wife and I celebrated her Birthday with our guide Jake. He was fantastic! Very laid back but had some good tunes on his portable speaker of local Austin bands and showed us around the city and taught us about some of the history between some really tasty brews. It was pretty much a perfect day. Great ride not too far but still a ride to burn a few calories before we carbo loaded with another beer. Total distance was about 7 miles. I would do it again.

Google
Austin Bike Tours was an incredible way to see the city, blending scenic routes with fascinating local history. Our guide, Trey, made the experience unforgettable with his energy, knowledge, and friendly personality. If you’re looking for a fun, engaging, and well-organized tour, Trey and Austin Bike Tours are the perfect choice.

Google
Worth every penny! The guides are knowledgeable, polite, kind and make you feel comfortable and at home. Special word of appreciation to Jake who took us all round East Austin and got us acquainted with the sights, sounds, tacos and beers in the area. This is the best way to discover the city.

Google
We had Jake for our tour, and he was great!!! All of his recommendations for the breweries and taco spots were SPOT on. I could not recommend this tour, and Jake more. This was the most fun we've had in a long time. If you haven't ridden a bike in a while, don't worry! It's not too bad and it doesn't even feel like you're riding for that long. 10/10, I would do this again.

Google
Jake was awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly with a lot of recommendations for our time in Austin. Our tour was in the rain and still had a blast. Check them out!

Yelp
Great tours, great guides and stops. We have done two tours with them and both were awesome. Trace & Colt both very personable and funny. The ride is fun and not hard. Got to see a lot of the city. Very reasonably priced.

Yelp
If I could give Adam and Bike and Brews 6 stars, I would!!! He was very accommodating and knowledgeable about Austin's history. The tour was great to start the weekend in Austin- Adam had many tips for where to go and how to plan our weekend. He was personal guide for Austin's must-see spots. If you are ever in Austin, we highly recommend going to bike and brews or other tours offered through Adam's company (Austin Bike Tours & Rentals).

Yelp
We did the 3 mile tour with Trace and had a blast! He is passionate about the culture, beer and history of Austin and it definitely shines through in his guided tour! I would definitely recommend booking this tour if you're looking to see the less touristy and more of the "hidden gems" (as Trace puts it) along the east side of Austin. Thanks Trace - we had a great time!

Yelp
Trace is the man!!! Best tour to do in Austin! This guy knows everything about the city. Most important he is genuine.

Yelp
This was amazing! Our guide Trey, was awesome! Way more drinks than we expected and was the perfect blend of information, alcohol and sights! We will be back next time we're in town!!! The price was GREAT for the tour and amount of beverages we got. We even had a last minute change in our tour, due to some bar hours changing due to COVID, and the team just picked it up, made it happen for us and got us a partial refund. 12/10 would recommend them again!

Yelp
Friends and I an amazing day with this company! Colt was great on the tour and Adam was fantastic to work with for booking. He even gave us some great food recommendations for us to stop and get food before our tour. Colt was super knowledgeable of Austin and took us on an amazing ride around town. At each spot he helped us get set up with our tastings and allowed us to take our time at each brewery. Highly recommend!

Andrew R.

Yelp
Had a great tome. Pretty good value; about 5-6 alcoholic drinks and three food items. Trace, our guide, was incredible. Knowledgeable and personable. He had connections all over town that provided us with a unique experience we will not forget. GET THE SECRET BEER

Yelp
Amazingly fun! Colt was the best guide! So much fun...and he's super hot! ;) so all you bachelorettes book Colt NOW!

Taylor B.

Yelp
Came here for a Bachelorette Party and it was awesome!!! Colt Wayne gave us the best tour and was so fun to be around! Super informative and fun! The beer was great too!

Yelp
If you're looking to experience east Austin and enjoy a few beers along the way, Bike and Brew ATX is the way to do it. Trace, our tour guide, showed us around town and offered up some history about the area. The hills are tough but the beer goes down easy. 5/5 experience. Thanks Trace!

Yelp
This is an extremely late review- a friend and I did this bike tour with Adam on a cold, rainy day and it was so much fun! Learned a bit about Austin's history, drank delicious beers, and made a new friend. Thank you Adam for a lovely and memorable experience!

Seth F.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal day with Adam on this tour. Bruce is selected at killer beers, he had great information about the city, and the food that we ate was all outstanding. Highly recommend this to her!

Yelp
We had an amazing time! Trace was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. I highly reccomend this tour!

Yelp
Trace was our guide and boy was he awesome! My brother wants to move to ATX after he graduates, which was the whole premise for our visit, and Trace asked him about what he wanted to do and why he wanted to transplant to Austin. This made our biking ride (though cold) feel very personable. We had an amazing time riding, chatting & drinking. Trace was super knowledgeable and even gave us some local recommendations that weren't on the East side map. 100% would recommend to a local or visitor. Bikes & brew are passionate about what they do and it shows!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I did the half heart tour in east Austin and it was a great way to explore the area. Adam was an awesome tour guide! He not only showed us some great breweries but also told us some history about Austin and Texas. Really fun tour, definitely recommend it - whether you just moved to Austin, are visiting, or have been here a while!

Belinda F.

Yelp
My husband and I did the Austin's Gem tour today. Adam was our guide, and although we are native to the area, we enjoyed learning some new tidbits about our beloved city and enjoyed exploring breweries we had not visited. Adam even adjusted our stops to visit some breweries with cider and wine to accommodate different preferences. Biking on the east side was a blast, not too hard, Adam preps you for the hills, seeks out shade and hydrates you at the breweries. Great time!

Casey M.

Yelp
My friends coordinated the Bike & Brew + Tacos tour for my bachelorette and it was absolutely fantastic. Adam had the whole day mapped perfectly, an awesome balance of sight seeing/neighborhood history as well as delicious beers and mouth-watering tacos. This was a great way to spend the daytime hours with friends while checking a lot of "You're in Austin! You have to eat tacos/BBQ/drink local beer/have an Armadillo" check boxes. There's no need to be a cyclist to do this activity, it is very approachable for people of all cycling comforts. Not a beer fan? They also have wine options and coffee!

Yelp
Awesome spot to grab a coffee, do some homework and buy a bike. Atmosphere was super chill and laid back. In a hopping part of town so once your done with the coffee study biking you've got the city hotspots a few steps away!

Sarah H.

Yelp
A must-do in Austin! 3 breweries, all tastings included, with the added bonus of biking around town. Colt was a fantastic guide-- we felt safe (no easy feat to corral our large group of ladies), learned some history, and drank great beer. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was the highlight of our time in Austin! I went to Austin for a girls' trip with six friends, and Adam, the founder and our guide, scheduled a tour for us last-minute. We did the "1/2 Heart" where we went to three breweries on the East Side of the city. Adam was knowledgeable about beer - who knew it possibly predated agriculture!? - and about the history of the city. He took time to get to know us, and tailored the tour in-the-moment to be the right mix of facts and fun. The breweries we visited were awesome - Hops & Grain, Zilker, and Blue Owl Brewing (our favorite). We saw amazing Austin sites (I don't want to give too much away!), and had a blast. If I'm ever in Austin again, I will definitely do another tour! I couldn't recommend Bike & Brew ATX more highly.

Yelp
My wife and I went on a North tour last night with Adam as our guide. He's very easygoing, knowledgeable on the subject or beer, its history and evolution. He's working with a pretty great concept: cycling from brewery to brewery (we started at Oskar Blues, then stopped at Circle, finished at 4th Tap), so you get physical activity in addition to sampling some fabulous beers. Adam was extremely friendly and accommodating, and we hope to try one of the other tours soon!

Claire M.

Yelp
This is our favorite thing to do while in Austin! Its the perfect mix of sight seeing, drinking, and socializing! We have done two tours with this group and all of our tour guides were so easy going and knowledgeable. They provide you with a huge list of things to do while in Austin so its a great tour to sign up for early in your trip if you can!

Ashley R.

Yelp
We took the Bike and Brew tour at my bachelorette party, and I'm so glad we did! Trace, our tour guide, was SO much fun and very knowledgeable about Austin history/things to do. We had an awesome time joking around, biking at a leisurely pace, and, of course, drinking. Definitely one of the high points of the weekend, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Austin!

Kristen B.

Yelp
This was such a fun tour! Adam was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable on beer and explaining the history and culture of Austin. I'll definitely do this again to try out the different locations!

Quincy S.

Yelp
It was my friend's dream to ride a tandem bike, so we walked to the location and it was closed! But luckily Adam pulled up a few minutes later and let us rent a bike for an hour anyways and waited until we got back! It was so sweet, and we had a wonderful time! I would completely recommend renting from Bike & Brew ATX!

Jacob R.

Yelp
Awesome tour, knowledge guide (shout out to Trace!), great perspective of the city, fun breweries. Would absolutely recommend.

Yelp
Great concept, this really made our time in Austin enjoyable. I would recommend going on one of these tours on one of your first days here if vacationing from out of town so you can tour the city and get some great ideas of things to do for the remainder of your stay. We're coming back to Austin later this summer and a Bike & Brew tour is definitely going to be the first thing on our list.

Debra B.

Yelp
Great fun riding through the city , visiting some breweries and learning about some Austin TX history with Trace !

Stacy O.

Yelp
Trace was the best! Fun trip around the east end of the city, good beers and met some great people.

Kristin S.

Yelp
This is the best bike tour in Austin. Amazing service, delicious beer, and knowledgeable and fun tour guides. Highly recommend!!!! p.s. You gotta ask for Adam Willy Watt - he won't disappoint
