"Germany’s first concept-mall can be found between the redeveloped Zoologischer Garten area and the ultra-hip 25 Hour Hotel. Occupying a recently refurbished 1950s building, its slickly reworked interior now houses flagship stores, quirky boutiques, and outlets from local fashion designers, as well as trendy coffee and snack stalls and healthy smoothie shacks. A wide staircase takes you up to the roof terrace where you can stroll and check out the monkey enclosures in the adjacent zoo."

We visited Bikini Berlin just to check it out, and it turned out to be a really nice spot! The interior of the building is super aesthetic, clean, and spacious. One cool detail is that you can actually get a partial view of the zoo from inside. It’s true that not many people go to malls regularly these days, so the store selection isn’t filled with the usual big-name shops. Instead, you’ll find small, artsy stores selling handmade crafts and unique items, which adds to the charm. Overall, it’s not your typical mall it’s more of a cool, creative space with a relaxed vibe. It also makes a great meetup spot, especially with its green color theme and central location in the city. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a chill visit. :)

Cool place, love the concept of combing the nature views with shopping experience. It also has a fun auto photo machine, similar to the photomat. However a lot of stores need cash which is not convenient, also the toilet is not for free 🥲

Good looking mall. Beautiful place. You can see the Monkeys at the Zoo through a big glass window in the wall. Fresh little stores. There is also some coffee shops and bars. Worth a visit. You can get some rare designer stuff but maybe not everyday things.

Bikini Berlin is like your average mall. It’s a mix of cool boutiques, creative pop-ups, and great food spots, all wrapped in a stylish, artsy vibe. Plus, the view of the Berlin Zoo from the rooftop is a real bonus. Good place to shop, eat, and hang out..

It's nice little shopping mall with different independent shops and cafes, also has a large window that overlooks the Berlin Zoo

A decent mall in the center of the city with beautiful and clean inner environment which is very comfortable to walk around and kill some times here. Above all, they have a wonderful mini zoo outside with see through big glass which enables you to watch the animals while staying inside the mall. An ideal place to bring your whole family esp with small kids here.

Yelp
Bikini Berlin was described to me as a mall for hipsters. I walked around for a bit, but didn't find anything. Apparently, there is a roof terrace, the Bikini Berlin Shopping Garden, which offers views into the neighbouring zoo. I'm sorry I missed out on that.

Yelp
TL;DR - One of my favourite places to hang out in one of my favourite cities. At its most basic, Bikini is basically a shopping mall... but it's so much more than that as well. The ground floor has a mixture of shops and stalls, plus a couple of coffee shops. There's also a small supermarket at one end which stays open until about 10pm which is handy to know (they also do coffee and pastries in there if you want a cheaper option than the coffee shops in the mall). Next to the supermarket there's a shop selling art and crafts, many of which are Berlin themed and would make fantastic gifts and souvenirs. First floor is a mixture of shops and the fab food hall Kantini. There are lots of nice things to eat and drink in there, and some of the shops are fantastic and quirky - there's a great interior design store, plus a place specialising in Japanese goods. The top floor is where it gets interesting though, because you can access the roof. There are more shops outside, but more designer than the ones indoors. There's also a restaurant up here but most surprising is you get a cracking view over the Zoo! Not much to see at night, but great on a summer's day. There's also nice seating and planting up here, so it's a relaxed place to get away from the crowds on the streets below.

Yelp
A lot of my friends told me this is as hipster as it gets -- they were not lying. Bikini Berlin is by far the hipsterland I have always wondered to find. A decent shopping in a cool location with not only stores but small boxes and pop-up shops everywhere. You will be able to find clothing, accessories, furniture, decor, books, beauty products, and more. I loved the ambiance and the rooftop with a nice view to the Zoo it's pretty rad. The names of the stores are a bit too obvious, but I think this is just part of the "chilly" vibe they try to have. Prices are a bit high, but some of the products are exclusive so don't be too weird about it.

Yelp
Originally came here because it's is COLD AS in Berlin right now and I wanted a day to have a coffee, explore a bit and get some work done without freezing my butt off outside bouncing around place to place. This shopping mall - while for sure on the more expensive side was PERFECT! Super swank looking on the inside- big open spaces to sit and relax. Beautiful pop up shops, cafes, and places to lounge for a while. We posted up in the middle near "funk you" - cakes and juices looked incredible, coffee was meh. But we sat at the window near the heater with a view of MONKEYS! Yes. MONKEYS - from the zoo. Overall it is a great space to escape the cold, do some shopping, have some yummy treats, look at monkeys, go on swings, people watch and FREE WIFI! Also right across the street is the the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church! Half bombed memorial. Stunning. For sure a must visit if your already at Bikini Berlin!

Yelp
This was a really cool, fun mall in Berlin. We were tourists in Berlin and it was FREEZING so we went inside this place. It reminded me a lot of the malls in SoCal, very modern and cute. There was also a beautiful cafe inside with many different places to eat inside. It's fun to spend some time in here! There's also some boards located around the mall that talk about why it's called Bikini Berlin :)

Yelp
When then first time I walked in here, I simply fall in love with this place. The name of the mall "Bikini" was the first thing got me interested. I was wondering, how did they come up with this name? Soon , I learn that the building here used to look like a shape of bikini, the locals simply called it "Bikini", just as simple as that. The interior design of the mall is one of the main reasons that I love this place. It's very modern, neat and urban style. There are lot thing inside the more you could feel with the design, why they do it like this way and how some humors within, for example, the WC have a really cute and funny name, instead of the normal way "Toilet" or " WC", they called it "2theloo". Brilliant! There are also other idea here pretty cool, the window to the zoo, you can check out the cut animals inside the zoo during your break (Or maybe the other way around). This kinda of the details made this mall very unique and identical. This mall is also the first concept mall in world, in total has three floors. The ground floor holds mainly fashion stores. When you go up, you will see more art, design & lifestyle stores, center management of Bikini Berlin also at this floor. On the top is their garden, which you can walk around and relax with great views aside. Supermarket and gestalten are also here, which I personal like these places a lot. You could also see some design officers and 25h hotels. Bikini Berlin has their own parking place and cinema next by ( which is the Zoo Palast). So no worries how to kill your time here. The location of this mall is simply great, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche just couple steps away. Lots shops and restaurants around. The staff here are friendly and helpful, so far, I don't have any negative thoughts from the whole place yet. Well, of course since they mainly selling stuff about fashion and design, it's quite pricy here. At the end, many concepts and designs from Bikini Berlin impressed me and made me love this place! It's a mall but from and for the people who like ideas and designs.

Yelp
Holy cow this place is rad! At first I didn't understand why it was called Bikini but then my partner's German friend explained that the partition on the outside of the building between retail and offices up town and that gap made it look like a two piece bikini. How adorable! Honestly, this was the most exciting building we saw in Berlin on this trip (the other being the impressive Parliament which I've already been to on a previous trip). I absolutely loved the architectural design of this building. I loved the retail space a lot and how the stairs just sprawled right into it from above. It's a beautiful building and anyone who loves even architecture in the slightest would like it. It felt kind of industrial but stunning with all the glass. The rooftop is also really nice as it has cafes up there and an outdoor area to enjoy viewing the zoo with full visibility of the red butt baboons. If you're too cheap to take your kids to the zoo, take them to the roof of this building to enjoy the free glimpse of it! My partner's friend told us that the middle vendors are always pop up shops, so you'll often see something new and quirky. I ended up getting a rad This City Rocks bamboo shirt. I often buy a shirt from a city I visit as my memento but nothing obvious that screams the city's name etc (ie: in Edinburgh I got a lion rampant shirt and in NYC I got a Strand Bookstore shirt). No one would know what city I'm proclaiming rocks unless they knew the buildings of Berlin. We ended up eating at Spreegold after our stroll around the building. Definitely worth a visit even if you're not going to buy or eat here.

Yelp
Absolutely cool place. Loved the food selection at the top. There is a really lovely photo booth which you should give a try. The Zoo is super close to Bikini Berlin meaning you can see a few animals from inside

Yelp
I came here after seeing a mall with pop up shops. I would hardly call this that. There are a few pop up shops with high end stores in the mall. Nothing to rave about.

Yelp
What a joke. I really don't get the hype with this place. One star because the architecture is cool and might be worth taking a look at if you are in the area. I guess it is cool that this mall is unique from the mega-malls of Berlin. However, I think there are better ways to promote the unique culture of the city other than making a cool-looking building of pretentious stores selling overpriced goods. On top of that, there are still quite a few empty stalls (as of two weeks ago when I visited), which gives the 1. floor a creepy and uninviting vibe. If your money is really burning a hole in your pocket, there are so many other better shopping opportunities in the area.

Yelp
Pop-up shopping centre with designer boutiques and its Kantini with healthy street food.

Yelp
A very funky hotel near the zoo that offer a very different experience, I would suggest to get the Jungle room that include a hammock in the room which adds to the experience. The room itself is otherwise a bit basic, lacking amenities and very dark. The bar is super cool as well as the hammock area. The best bonus of this hotel is the free MINI experience that allows you are a quick drive through the city which makes it very convenience.

Yelp
This is such a cool space, it's designed really beautifully. There's even a full sized window with cushions you can laze around with a cup of coffee and look into the zoo exhibits. Plenty of creative pop up shops as well, full of indie designers selling clothing, bags, and cute little odds and ends. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. Oh - and they have free wifi. Always a plus for a traveler! :)

Yelp
creating a new cool point in the western part of Berlin, which has been neglected lately. I love the roof area, viewing the Zoo, with its cool bars like "Supermarket" and "Monkey bar" Also for nerd and tech fans: the cyberport shop is also in there.

Yelp
Bikini is a high end shopping center in Berlin. The style is simple and sustainable. The shops seem to be aimed primarily at tourists. This is just my impression. Though as an absolute disgrace you have to pay for the restrooms. This is unfortunately a common problem in Germany, but in Bikini Berlin you have to search for the restrooms in the first place, even if you ordered something previously in a cafe or restaurant. To go to the restroom, you supposed to have the exact amount in ¢ent coins. Otherwise you can not pass the turnstile and the bathroom remains closed for you. From a reputable department store or shopping center I expect to provide usable restrooms; Quite simply the way it is common almost everywhere else in the world.

Yelp
A beautiful castle and grounds, just a few metro stops from downtown Berlin. Certainly worth a visit when the weather is good!
