Bikini Island & Mountain Port de Soller (Mallorca, Balearic Islands) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Here in Mallorca’s Port de Sóller, a Seventies hotel with a Bauhaus inspiration has been brought forward into the 21st century as the ultra-stylish, adults-only Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel. In its current form it draws inspiration from California’s Sixties counterculture, which means its atmosphere is both laid-back and festive — the interior style is bohemian-chic, and the hedonistic pleasures include a pool, a spa, and in-room comforts like rain showers and, in many cases, balconies or patios with views of the mountains. Two bars are joined by Neni, an outpost of Haya Molcho’s well-known Israeli and Middle Eastern restaurant group." - Tablet Hotels

Really enjoyed this hotel. It’s fun and vibrant with very cool interiors - absolutely loved the decor. Most of the staff were great - one or two, not so much which is a shame. The food was excellent and the pool was wonderful - there were always beds free. The rooms are definitely on the small side but there’s loads of storage and the balconies are great - like another room. It’s a short walk to the marina in Port Soller, with lots of lovely restaurants and an ok beach. Parking is a bit tricky and I’d book the restaurant in advance as we only got in one night of our stay as they had a cancellation. All in all, I would definitely recommend here and would like to go again.

We really wanted to like Bikin Island in Sóller — the location is stunning, the breakfast was generous, and the view from the pool is undeniably beautiful. However, our experience was unfortunately marred by a number of issues that made the stay feel frustrating and far from the standard this hotel claims to offer.||||Our original room offered zero privacy, with a window and balcony directly overlooking the car park and main entrance. To their credit, the staff did move us — but to a smaller room. While it was more private, it didn’t make up for the serious lack of comfort. The beds were rock hard and oddly shaped, with a raised mound in the middle. The pillows were terrible and unsupportive. We had to ask for extra pillows and a mattress topper just to get a half-decent night’s sleep.||||The service throughout the hotel felt flat and uninterested. Staff didn’t make us feel welcome and offered no help with local recommendations or dining tips. When we asked about a paella restaurant we’d researched, the receptionist claimed not to know it and redirected us elsewhere to a disappointing alternative with poor-quality food.||||The pool area, while stylish, was let down by slow service and an overpriced lunch menu featuring mainly Israeli-style dishes — curious, considering we’re in Spain. The pool bar prices were over the top and the food options were limited. ||||One final (and important) note: the hotel provides guests with a refillable water bottle and filtered water stations, but the water tastes off — salty and stale. We ended up buying our own water from a nearby shop, which says a lot.||||In summary, this hotel looks great on social media, but the reality doesn’t live up to the hype. For the price, guests deserve better comfort, hospitality, and value. Sadly, we wouldn’t stay again or recommend it.

From the momemt we arrived we could tell this hotel was different. There is a real sense of calm throughout the hotel, which is promoted by the friendly staff. It really does feel like a 'go-with-the-flow' type of place. Very clean, relaxed atmosphere and friendly vibe pretty much sums this place up. ||The hotel is nicely situated just up the hill from the port and set into the foot of the mountains, which gives you a great poolside view of the port and mountains.||Now the food....Amazing! the offering at the pool bar is decent and varied, although could have done with some simpler dishes such as cheese and ham toasties, sandwiches...etc just for day time nibbles. ||We ate at the Restaurant NENI on one of the nights we were there and its was superb, unlike anything I had ever eaten before! ||The staff were super helpful and friendly, specifically, Faith, Jackie, Gabi and Ben who all provided excellent customer service, going out of their way to have conversations and make you feel special.||We will definitely be back again.

My wife and I enjoyed a delightful short stay at this utterly charming hotel. There is no sense of the corporate, chain hotel, but high standards are met in all the key areas that make a stay so restful and enjoyable. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, and there were enough to ensure quick service in the bars, restaurants, and reception. Breakfast was a feast- the restaurant is very good. My initial impression was that the bedroom seemed small, but the large balcony gave all the space needed and became a favourite rest place.

Welcome drink: None|Location: Excellent - easy access to the port |Taxi situ: Taxi rank was €45 at 8pm on a Wed night in July. Had booked with Cheap taxis - who never turned up. Guess the clue was in the name. Good from hotel. Late evening & weekends though can take ages. |Shops: In the port |Water in room: No but a filtered water system at the hotel with bottles to use and refill for your stay |Mini bar: Minimal |Shampoo/ conditioner: Yes and free suncream |Hairdryer effectiveness: excellent |Bathroom: Small |Bed: Read was really hard beds but I requested a topper and it was super comfy. |Room type: Bayside Plus Room|Room size: Small - only double beds would be very small for two. |Space for cases: Not live out of. Yes for storage.|Hanging space: Average |Table: No |Black out curtains: Yes|Air con: Yes good|Mirrors: Good amount |View: Stunning of the port and pool|Balcony: Yes with a hammock or bed |Breakfast: Good with amazing views and so much egg choice |Pool: Good but needs a second as guests tend to stay at the hotel all day. |Shade/ umbrellas: Not enough. Fixed shady areas and only a couple of umbrellas - as despite the sign saying you can’t reserve sunbeds everyone does - by 8am!!! This meant I couldn’t lay out in the shade one day as no shady area left. This was a big and disappointing downside of what is a gorgeous hotel. |Restaurants: The pool bar is lovely but super slow service and that coupled with the lack of salads and choice meant I ate lunch in the port more than at the hotel which then means you lose your sunbed. The donkey bar is the best. Amazing views and cocktails. Shame it closes at 12. Same views for Neni restaurant but only open for breakfast and dinner and last orders at 10.30pm. |Anything else useful: I loved this hotel from a dinner I had 3 years ago but as only had double beds so hadn’t been suitable for a girls trip (unless you don’t mind sharing). The staff are super helpful but feels understaffed as very stretched. There’s a relaxed and thoughtful vibe from little touches like a postcard to write they will pay and post for you. Then there’s the views. This is a great flop and drop for sun seekers looking for a slower pace.

Bikini was incredible from the moment we arrived. Friendly staff to check us into our gorgeous room with views over the pool and Port de Sóller below. The list of included amenities went on for ages with car rentals, car charging stations, E-bikes, proper beach towels, beach totes, Bluetooth speaker, water bottles with still/sparkling fill stations throughout the resort, sunscreen, beach hat, and even a paid postage post card to send to friends or family. Food and drinks were delicious and affordable too. The staff was very attentive to our every need. Rooms/ facilities were exceptionally clean. The proximity to the port was great with steps through the resort to cut out most of the walk down the mountain. We will absolutely be back to enjoy such a wonderful resort.

A beautiful, that has so many unique thoughtful extras! Staff very accommodating , great location short walk from beach and port. It’s going back up that’s the hard bit 😉 (lots of steps) Breakfast was great such a good selection but all food served at hotel is fantastic! If you decide to stay highly recommend hiring a car!

The hotel is a great adult only venue. The breakfast (included in the booking) is lovely, you can eat outside but in dabbled shade and can order fresh eggs / coffees.|Rooms are small but nicely decorated, with the added touches of being able to borrow beach towels, water bottles + beach towels.|Cocktails & food by the bar were great too.|My main complaint is the major lack of shade round the pool, leading to sunbed wars! Please spend £500/£1000 on extra parasols and this place would be perfect. The main pool guy won't help move the parasols (we asked on two days) - we were informed we could but he couldn't. They are heavy, and we couldn't move them but luckily another guest (male) offered to help us as we were quite obviously struggling!

Yelp
This hotel was absolutely wonderful! The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. They called to set up reservations and activities for us and even sent free drinks to us after hearing we got engaged! The room was on the smaller size, but a great space to come back to after exploring the island all day. Parking was never an issue, there is a small lot and plenty of street parking. The balcony with the water view was beautiful and so relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. Having the NENI restaurant in the same building was incredible and the best meal we had while in Mallorca! Being able to walk down to Port De Sollér was an added bonus, with gorgeous views/sunsets, restaurants and excursions. I would recommend Mallorca and this hotel to anyone, we will be back!!!

Yelp
Not your most friendly resort! The place is stock in the 70s and has the old furniture to proof, you would think what they lack in location and poor facilities, they make up with friendly staff and helpfulness, but, if you can believe the staff attitude us worst than the property!! I called 20 days before arrival that the only flights I could catch was arriving 11:00 am. Asked if they can have the room ready earlier since we were traveling from Los Angeles. NO LOCk! The made us wait over 4 hours for the room. Hospitality business my ass, they could have asked a HK to clean one room, but no such luck!! I am never ever coming back here!!

Yelp
Beautiful Bohemian Style Hotel! Great views of Port de Sóller and Awesome restaurant! We will definitely be back tapas and entrees were amazing.

Yelp
Don't stay here. Room wasn't ready by check in time and when they finally gave it to me, it was only half cleaned. Someone had spilled an entire bottle of shampoo on the bathroom floor. I called reception and was not offered another room or even an apology. Who the hell is running this place?
