Google
Restaurante Bili is definitely a very popular restaurant, in a bustling part of town; and it tends to be busy each and every day (for dinner) that they are open!! So, I say all this to say - make sure to make a reservation if you’d like to avoid a long wait &/or disappointment with there not being a table available. We were extremely lucky to have gotten a table with a relatively short wait on a busy evening. Likely because it was within the last hour of the restaurant’s opening!! Now - on to the best part… the FOOD! The creamy pumpkin soup with an arepa was really delicious!!! Full of flavour, prepared with passion and love and I would definitely go back for more! For our mains, my sister and I decided to both have the seasonal fresh caught fish with Puerto Rican yellow rice - YUMMMM! My only regret is that the fish was not big enough… I would have loved MORE! Overall this was a great dining experience.

Ate twice here while visiting. Relaxed vibe, kind and friendly staff, nice drinks and delicious food. I eat a plant based diet which limited my options, but I found 2-3 great choices there, and all were made with care (not just meat dishes without the meat). The vegetarian paella was especially delicious! I heard the seafood one was too. Highly recommend.

Everything is awesome

Google
Absolutely recommend Restaurante Bili! We got right in at 6:30 on a Tuesday. The staff was super friendly and attentive without making us feel rushed. We had the appetizer sampler which was three small bites of each option which was so good and perfect for two people. I wish they bottled the chimichurri they have with the Empanadas! The cod fritters are SO good and not too fishy. Great for kids who like fish sticks. The mofongo bite - delightful. The corn and cheese bites with tomato jelly are the sweet treat of the plate. We also ordered the lobster, as its caught locally, and did NOT regret it! Grilled to perfection, juicy on the inside and served with lime and butter. It was large enough for two people to split, as well as the portions of rice and beans. The rice was cooked to perfection and the beans you could tell had been cooked low and slow, so much flavor! We also saw that the chef cooking our lobster was a woman, even better! ;) Grilled plantains came with the chef as well and were the perfect dessert. So, compliments to the chef it was absolutely delicious! Dont sleep on this spot.

We arrived in Vieques late on a weekend and happened to stumble upon this spot by chance, as many other restaurants were closed. We’re so glad we did! Everything—from the food to the service was absolutely wonderful. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The highlight of our meal was without a doubt the grilled lobster—hands down the best either of us has ever had! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by.

Google
The food was absolutely incredible — we got the appetizer sampler, chicken & mofongo, paella puertorriqueña, the sangría, & the piña colada tres leches cake. The chicken was easily one of the best pieces I’ve ever had — you can taste the char of the grill & it was so moist and flavorful. Could not recommend Restaurante Bili enough!!

Google
Amazing service. Food is good. We got the sampler and tostones con ensalada de carrucho. Bacalaitos is my favorite. Very flavorful. Then chicken empanadas is my second favorite. I like the chimichurri sauce a lot. I like appetizers better than entree. Grilled lobster and whole red snapper are good, but not the best I’ve had.

Google
This place is a solid 4.5 stars. Everything is good, but slightly overcooked. Drinks were excellent.

Google
Holy Molly! The best restaurant I have been to Puerto Rico. The food was phenomenal! Service was great! I enjoyed it here very much.

Yelp
Though we had to wait for a table, it was well worth the wait!! We came for the catch of the day and lobster but oh man, everything we ordered was 5 stars, including the non alcoholic drinks. For starters, we ordered the chicken empanada (that chimichurri was so good we wiped up ever last drop) and the cheese and corn fritters are perfect for corn lovers (though the fruit salsa was more of a marmalade and I was just fine with plain fritters). The catch of the day was yellowtail snapper, and it was deep fried to perfection. The skin had a delicious crispy texture and the meat was so tender. We loved the bed of rice and beans which complemented the fish well. The lobster (Caribbean lobster is slightly different from your New England lobster) had this incredible smoky char flavor and it really let the lobster shine through. We appreciated it was split which made sharing and eating much easier. It comes with Puerto Rican rice (fluffier than your typical Spanish rice) and also beans. The coconut water (comes with chunks of coconut flesh!) and pineapple skin iced tea were soooo refreshing and helped to rehydrate us after a long day in the sun. This is a must visit if you are in Vieques! Put down your name and walk along the water and grab a drink. We promise it's worth your while!

Yelp
The location was great to experience the awesome sunset before dinner. The staff was great the mahi mahi was great. The traditional paella and the pork tenderloin with risotto was very salty. Just be warned it was just too overpowering not to mention.
google avatar

Justin W.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended from tour guides. I ordered the seafood paella which was ok but not quite as flavorful as I expected and some of the seafood was a little bit soggy. But the service was fast, the other dishes were tasty, and the ambiance was really great.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here with excellent service on Christmas Eve. We didn't have reservations but we were able to get a table at 8pm. The sampler appetizer, conch salad (similar to ceviche) and paella were delicious. Sitting outside to dine in warm Vieques adds to the fun island vibe.

Yelp
Delicious. Great drink and local (PR) beers. Loved their chicken empanadillas with chimichurri. The fishe with "majado de viandas " was amazing. Great location and nice staff. Sunset across the street was breathtaking.

Yelp
I came here with my family for vacation. The ambiance was very chill. We came on a Friday afternoon at 3pm. The food was amazing! I had the mahi and sampled the empanadas. I also had two coquitos. The service was attentive-not aggressive. I would absolutely come back!

Yelp
This was our "splurge" meal on our vacation, and Bili did not disappoint. I ordered the lobster, and it was SO delicious. WOW! My husband enjoyed the risotto with pork. In fact, this dish turned my husband into a risotto fan, so I'm grateful for that. Thank you, Bili. My kids just wanted to eat the empanadas, but I don't blame them. They were cooked perfectly with a tasty chimichurri sauce underneath. I think we ended up getting three orders! The service was prompt and very welcoming. Bili Restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere with warm decor and high-quality, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Worth the $$!

Yelp
We stopped by Bili for a quick snack. We shared a pina colada, fruit smoothie with protein powder, and an empanada appetizer. They were all delicious and fresh. One of my favorite things was the sauce underneath the empanadas-it was perfect to dip them in. The protein in the smoothie made it a satisfying and fulfilling snack. We were refreshed and ready for our next adventure.

Yelp
Popular spot, a bit finer dining on the beach strip. Super friendly service, nice ambiance. For the price, food was meh or maybe just off night. Fried cheese app was good - this dish very popular in PR. Then ordered both versions of paella- seafood & vegetarian. Seafood was fine, vegetarian was horrible. - tasted more like curry risotto- just kinda odd, not tasty at all. Their flan for dessert was good but honestly flan is hard to mess up.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious vegetarian option, the staff was also extremely kind. I also had a delicious ginger pineapple tea. My partner had a whole fish he really enjoyed. Highly recommend this spot. Location also near the water so there is a beautiful view.

Yelp
Food was great. Had the app sampler, which was great. The stuffed tostones were good. The chicken with yuca mofongo (which I wasn't excited about) was excellent, as was the Puerto Rican paella. Food came out fast and service was friendly. Top recommendation!

Yelp
Staff was wonderful, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very laid-back with sandy floors. The food came very quick after we ordered. I had a dark sand beach cocktail, which was delicious.

Yelp
An excellent late night spot with great daytime views and wonderful evening breezes coming off the ocean! While I was there for a dinner, the fruit smoothie and empanadas appetizer were my favorites!

Yelp
This is a restaurant on the island of Vieques. We were there October 9th and the restaurant had just reopened for the season. Several local residents recommended to us. Great location as the restaurant is directly across the street from Esperanza beach in the Malecón (basically the main area with other bars and restaurants). Dishes are chef curated so menú likely to change. My husband and I shared the lobster, and we shared an appetizer selection of mofongo balls, fish/cod croquettes and corn fritters. Side items were rice and beans (arroz y friojoles). Overall the restaurant ambience is open air on a patio facing the ocean. There is interior seating but in a smaller area. The cost of our meal along with mixed drinks cost about $140 dollars (my apologies I am writing this about 20 days later off memory, but the appetizer was about $20/ each drink $15-20 and the lobster $75 plus tips). While everything was fresh and tasty, we felt the lobster was bland )basically grilled with a side of butter)- yet you know everything is fresh and from scratch. One unique aspect about all the restaurants in Vieques, and Bili is no exception, is that you may have a animal/pet/stray join you for the meal. Bili had a cat. Dogs and horses roam freely on the island so don't be surprise if you get guests at your table.

Yelp
Love! Beach view, good food, fresh fish. What more can you ask for? Whole fresh snapper fried to order in your choice of size. Pictured is the small fish which was good for just one person at lunch time. I added a side salad which was nothing special but much needed greens after all the rice and fried food. On this stretch of street, Bili is definitely the place to go. I say this after going to 2 other restaurants nearby earlier in the week. My fiancé had the paella which was pretty good as well. Go for the fish, stay for the view and people watching.

Yelp
We were so happy to find this spot in Vieques! It certainly wasn't as packed as some of the others near by but the food was far superior and the prices were fair. We also were welcomed by a very friendly staff and had a great waiter who made awesome suggestions! We loved the whole snapper and paella. And the cocktail with coconut water and coconut milk it was so good. Wish we had enough room to try dessert!!

Yelp
Some food was delish, some eye not worth it. Sit in the patio area and watch the bonito sunset while enjoying a refreshing sangria. Cheers!

Yelp
Great food, great service, excellent drinks! We loved tge To Go 750 ml Mojitos. Both Breakfast & lunch options were excellent.

Yelp
Food was too salty. My girl said best Seafood rice in PR. When many loacal restaurants closed, have to go for it.

Yelp
What a fantastic restaurant! Bili is food artistry and pure, sensually delicious comfort combined. We celebrated Karen's birthday with Lobster Bouillabaise and a Lobster Paella de Marisco. If you're looking for the best food in Vieques, seriously, this is the go-to place. Not just chef-owned, this restaurant's chef owner is here all the time and maintains both food and service standards impeccably. So rare these days!

Katherine W.

Yelp
Food was pretty good, better than La Plaza in Isabel, but far below Cowui Fire. Service wasn't great , nor were the drinks
google avatar

Yelp
I spent nine days in Puerto Rico, and this ended up being one of my favorite spots! Covered outdoor seating next to the water. Ambiance is casual but classy, with live music, artwork, and sunset views creating a great vibe for a date night or outing with friends. The Mahi Mahi was out of this world, and I'm still fantasizing about it days later!
google avatar

Yelp
Best restaurant in Vieques! The food here is high end delicious. Comida criolla at its best :)
google avatar

Shari R.

Yelp
Ate here for bfast and it was delicious! Avocado toast with bacon.... The guacamole was a little brown but still tasted great. Hubs had the pins colada French toast! It was life changing!!! Forgot to take pics!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered salad, fried whole fish and paella. Very good seasoning not too salty at all. Definitely very fresh seafood. Recommended by our tour guide who is local.
google avatar

Yelp
This place seemed to be a contender. Slim pickings in the area. Got there and kitchen had just closed to get ready for lunch. Was told return at 12, then return back @ 12:30. Returned &12:30 to be told they were not opening at all. That the staff had had it. Really?
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is delicious and the wait staff is very friendly. They have a couple of vegan items on the menu, an appetizer and an entree. Both are really excellent. The veggie curry was so fresh and well-seasoned and the plantains were fried perfectly. The drink menu is good (though limited). There's one cocktail with locally made coffee rum and is very good. As vegan-friendly restaurants are not too common, we ended up eating there twice during our stay and really enjoyed ourselves both times.

Gloria Z.

Yelp
Really good food, drinks & service! We came here for every meal:) The fried yellow tail with rice is my favorite. It's very crispy and fresh. The piña colada is fruity with the taste of rum smoothly infused. The waiter is super chill and friendly. Highly recommend!

Botch A.

Yelp
Outstanding food, memorable, and reasonably priced. The tables are on a dirt floor so you might hesitate, but you will be happy you stayed.

Yelp
Delicious meal with attentive service. They were very busy when we got there but the staff were so pleasant and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. We got the appetizer sampler, the mahi mahi, and the Puerto Rican paella and they were all great!

Jennierose S.

Yelp
Service is excellent! They are truly next level mentioned I was a vegetarian and the wonderful chef made a veggie special on the fly. Manchego croquettes with the guava mustered are a must try, and sweet plantain as well; and well priced, not to many apt. you can get for 6 bucks now a days. Nice patio with view of beach. ..kittens and chickens will be your ground company if you chose to sit outside. Been twice this week and plan on returning soon. Your trip to Vieques is not complete without a stop here. Mark with the awesome curly hair and the very sweet gal with the cute glasses will make you feel right at home and give you great island hospitality.

Yelp
Foods are pretty good. Price a little bit high i guess it's a president popular traveling spot so it's understandable. The coffee i have to point out is fabulous!
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick snack and were very impressed with the staff here! They were sweet and so accommodating to our limited time as we were needing something fast before our Bio Bay tour! The two appetizers we ordered were delicious and we wished we had more time to enjoy a full meal!

Yelp
Bili's came on the recommendation of a local and fortunately, it met our expectations of a delicious lunch in Vieques. The restaurant itself is cute, by the water of where locals seem to frequent. The service was very accommodating and friendly. We started off with some drinks. I got the Guava Jalapeno Margarita which was delicious. It had a great kick from the jalapeno and the guava tasted so fresh on a hot day. If you do not like spicy drinks but want a guava drink, I would NOT recommend getting this drink without the jalapeno. A few of my friends asked with no jalapeno and unfortunately found the drink to be too sweet so I would recommend just going with another cocktail if trying to avoid the spice. As for appetizers, we started with the mofongo cassava dumplings. SO GOOOOOD. They were fried balls, stuffed with yucca and plantains. The outside was nice and crispy, inside was super mushy from the plantains and yucca. Just amazing. I couldn't get enough of it. The aioli sauce was the perfect complement to the carbtastic balls. I would definitely recommend this as a starter. As for the entrée, I knew I had to get the whole fried snapper. And when they say a whole fried snapper, the mean a Whole. Fried. Snapper. Delicious. It came with yummy rice and beans with chorizo. For $29, totally worth it. The snapper itself had superb crisp skin with tender meat on the inside. Very well fried. The meat was piping hot and moist on the inside which is always a challenge when frying a whole fish. The presentation of the fish was also amazing. Overall, a great lunch spot for a filling meal.

Scott B.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch. Authentic local cuisine and casual atmosphere. Food was delicious. And the cocktails were really good. Went there two days in a row because it was so great. Make sure you try the piña colada's.

Yelp
Waited for about an hour for an appetizer that never arrived and only response from the waiter was that he had no idea when it would be out but should be soon but he can cancel it for us if we wanted... was a complete waste of time

Dave H.

Yelp
The food was absolutely fantastic. The best food that I had while on this island. The service was impeccable. Mark saw that my wife who was attending to our baby did not have a chance to drink her beer and it sat there for a while getting warm. He took it back and brought out another so she could have a cold beer. Absolutely thrilled with our dinner.
google avatar

Micky M.

Yelp
Good service. Good food. Good location in Esperanza while we were having a casual beach day exploring Vieques.
google avatar

Zhenchao Z.

Yelp
Great food, great drink and very welcoming staff. Tried sandwiches and a few mains, all were good. Looking to revisit when returning to the island.
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best (higher end) food experiences in Vieques (without going overboard on "nice-ness"). Fantastic meal of ceviche with plantain chips, mofongo, and local lobster. Good cocktails. Great view of the water from the restaurant.
google avatar

Lois D.

Yelp
This place almost got a terrible review because they made us wait so long to get seated and start our order, however the food and juices were sooo delicious that it redeemed itself almost entirely! We ordered a number of delicious fresh juices, the appetizer sampler plate and mahi mahi wraps followed by cafe con leche. Everything was very fresh and very tasty. The one thing we didnt like were the little corn balls that were part of the sampler as they were too cheesy for our liking; but thats a small gripe. So, in summary, I would highly recommend this place as long as you dont go in too much of a hurry!!

Aaron S.

Yelp
Came for a late-ish breakfast. Worth the wait for a table. Worth the wait for the food. Don't come if you're in a rush - get on island time, have a drink, and enjoy the breeze. Much more mellow vibe than the places next door. Omelets were good. Pina colada French toast was amazing. Servers seemed a little disorganized but we got everything we ordered and never felt neglected. Bottom line, if you're chill and patient and appreciate delicious food you'll have a great experience.
google avatar

Lele B.

Yelp
We visited Bili on a Monday night right before they were closing. The food was by far the best we had in Vieques. We started with two appetizers - the black bean mash with root vegetable chips as well as the chicharrones de pollo. The vegetable chips were kind of like tostones topped with black beans, fresh salsa and avocado crema. These were delicious. The chicharrones were like fried chicken fritters with a creamy sauce. Also a hit! For entrees, we enjoyed the Puerto Rican style coconut curry stew. It was filled with veggies- eggplant, cauliflower, squash and tender shrimp. The sauce was delicious over the white rice and it also came with sweet plantains that were a nice "dessert." We also tried the pork tenderloin which was served on sausage risotto with plantains and chickpeas. All of the items at Bili were unique and well done. Much of the food at other restaurants in Esperanza is fried, but Bili offered fresh, inventive dishes with Puerto Rican flair. Our server was extremely friendly and didn't seem to mind that we came in right before closing.
google avatar

Govind R.

Yelp
Pros: good location, food is pretty decent but not cheap. This is more of a $$$ place. Cons: service left something to be desired, waitress didn't really give us any details about the menu beyond what was listed, had to keep badgering her to refill water, and never came to check on us after food was served and we needed a few more basic things. I'd say this is a 3/5 star place but I'm knocking another star off bc our server decided to include a 20% tip in our bill, which she most certainly didn't deserve.
google avatar

sarah s.

Yelp
We had two lovely meals here one eating in and one take out, both where amazing. I am vegetarian and they had plenty of options for me! The salad appetizer was fantastic as well as the cauliflower. My mother had the mahi-mahi and said it was wonderful. It came with mash potatoes which I tried a part of and absolutely loved! Would recommend to anyone traveling through this town.
google avatar

Hiro S.

Yelp
Ordered the puerto rican paella an it was nothing but pork fried rice. Highly disappointed.

Kara K.

Yelp
We haven't left the restaurant yet and had to add a review. Amazinggg! The food is absolutely the best on island. We've been everywhere and hands down Bili is the best. So flavorful. The staff is great - very friendly and upbeat. Not stuffy. Can't recommend higher! Thanks Bili, that was a treat!!
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
Best meal I've had in Vieques hands down. Location is perfect, right across from the ocean. Beachy, airy decor and atmosphere - a must go for a date night in Esperanza. My boyfriend and I order the guava BBQ chicharonnes (so yummy) and split the two pound lobster which was out of this world. Drinks were delicious and service was great. Definitely a little bit more on the expensive side for Vieques but 100% worth it.
